“I’m good, Auntie Kasey. A baby? Sweet!” Livi yelled.

Kasey’s gaze never left Evan’s as Livi rushed to her. Hugging the teenager, Kasey smiled as Livi kissed her cheek.

“Really?” Evan asked as he stepped forward.

Kasey nodded. “Yeah.”

Evan picked Livi up by her waist. “Out of my way, squirt.” He set her to the side.

“Awwww, Uncle Evan, I’m not a squirt anymore.” Livi pouted.

“Go tell your father he has a nephew coming or something.”

Kasey wrapped her arms around him as he drew her close. “She’s already gone.”

“Really, I’m going to be a dad?”

“Really, Evan.” she whispered. Rising up onto her toes, Kasey kissed him softly. “I’m due sometime in the late fall, October, they’re saying.”

“By the Gods, baby, I love you.”

Kasey rubbed her nose against his neck as she hugged him. “I love you too.”
