“No, not today or ever again for that matter. I still have a hangover from that night,” I mocked.

“Ah, don't exaggerate. It was two bottles of tequila,” she remarked

“It was two bottles of tequila and a mickey of vodka,” I corrected.

“Not my fault if Montoya keeps repeating his lines,” she laughed.

“Forget it. I'm getting ready to go out.” I stopped her, not wanting to remember that night. It made me want to gag just thinking about it.

“Where?”

“To Daimon’s office. Thinking of surprising him with lunch,” I hesitated, but I felt like I needed to go see him.

“Is this a sexy meal? Where he eats you out, or where you lick his rooster?” she joked.

“I’ll accept both,” I said happily.

“You naughty girl, you,” Elissa teased.

I hadn’t been to Daimon’s office since the day I signed the papers for the restaurant. It seemed different now I told him I loved him. The building itself didn’t appear cold or rigid like before, but as the sun shined on the glass windows, it seemed warm and inviting. I felt nervous, my stomach in knots, afraid I was overstepping, but I would never know unless I went for it. The very same security guard was there like always, but this time he remembered who I was.

“Mrs. Evans,” he welcomed as he held out his hand leading me to the elevator.

As each number on the elevator door lit up, I grew more excited about seeing him. Everything changed on our trip, especially for me and how I saw Daimon. Finally, the doors opened. The long hallway that led you to his private secretary was lit with the sunrays as it peered through the skyline above. She saw me and faintly smiled as I approached her.

“Mrs. Evans.”

“Hi, I’m here to see Daimon if he’s not busy,” I said quietly.

“Linda is in with him right now, but I’m sure he’ll make time for you.” She smiled and picked up her phone. “Yes. Mr. Evans? Mrs. Evans is here to see you.” she nodded. “Yes. Of course,” she said over the phone. “Come this way,” she said as she stood from her desk and opened the door for me.

As the doors slowly opened, I saw Daimon sitting behind his desk wearing a dark navy suit and a black tie. His ankle was crossed just above his knee as he played with his pen. The soft orange color of the sun lit him from behind illuminating him; he literally glowed. I let out a breath as our eyes met. A faint smile appeared on his face, but it was all too quickly taken away when I heard a female voice call out his name.

“Daimon? Are you listening to a thing I’m saying?” she said rather curtly.

“Yes, Linda. I am,” he groaned as he looked away from me.

I hesitated, but finally stepped inside. I stood at the door feeling awkward as my presence wasn’t exactly welcomed by the intimidating brunette who sat on the couch looking right at me.

“So this is your wife,” she noted. The tone she used was one I didn’t very much like.

“Yes, this is my Addie,” Daimon said, still sitting at his desk.

“Hello, I'm Linda Reeves. Daimon’s right hand woman if you will.” She stood from where she was and held out her hand for me to shake.

“I’m Addie,” I said as I took her hand.

“I’m pleased to finally meet this Addie he seems to be hiding away from all of us.” Her words, no matter how she said them, sounded condescending.

“It’s nice to meet you too, Linda,” I managed to say.

“Oh, don't say that, sweetie, you don’t even know me yet and that’s Ms. Reeves,” she smiled callously at me.

“Easy, Linda,” Daimon said grimly.

“Well, Addie, I have to say I’m glad I finally got to see you. I was wondering who took my man’s heart so easily out of my grasp,” she said bitterly.

“What did you say?” I asked her, rage building inside me.

“You didn’t know?” She looked at Daimon. “You didn’t tell her? Before you, there was me,” she smirked, but her eyes where laced with anger.

“Linda!” Daimon stood from his seat.

I looked over to see Daimon as his face changed and his features grew hard and menacing. My eyes drifted off back to Linda and I laughed.

“Well, you must have not been enough,
Ms
. Reeves, to keep a man like Daimon. I guess I offered him more than you could,” I said confidently. “Oh, and by the way, it’s
Mrs
. Evans to you.” I smiled widely as I turned and opened the office door for her to leave. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’m here to fuck my husband and I don’t need a spectator.” I held onto the doorknob only because if I hadn’t, I would have lunged at her and ripped the very beautiful hair off her head. She huffed and left. I slammed the door shut and stood with my back to Daimon. I took in a deep breath not wanting to yell at his place of business.

“Addie,” Daimon said carefully.

“Don’t,” I seethed. “Is it true? Did you have a relationship with her?” I finally turned and saw an uncertain Daimon not answering my question.

“It wasn’t the type of relationship you think,” he finally answered. “It was casual sex,” he admitted.

“To you. To her it was more,” I said through my teeth, clenching my fingers tight into a fist. My nails dug in deep as I held back my temper.

“Addie, she works for me and nothing else.” Daimon held out his hands and slowly walked around his desk.

“Nothing else?” I said incredulously. “And I’m supposed to buy that?” I glared at him as he came closer.

“Linda is an executive and she’s good at her job.”

“I’m sure she’s very good at a job,” I snapped.

“Don’t be ridiculous. Linda worked hard to get where she is now,” Daimon corrected me.

“Why are you defending her? I’m sorry, did I just announce I was a former lover to your wife? Did I just make your wife feel like shit?” I snarled.

“No, and I’ll speak to her about her behavior.” Daimon was too close, making me back away from him.

“All those who ever crossed the line with me you fought with; Clara, your father, and yet here is Linda, who clearly and defiantly comes at me, and you do nothing,” I challenged.

“She’s upset,” Daimon said quietly.

“Upset?” I questioned.

“Upset I got married. I didn’t realize she wanted more,” Daimon sighed.

“Then perhaps it was a mistake to marry me,” I noted angrily.

“Why?” he asked.

“It would seem you would have had a more suitable partner had you ‘fake-married’ her. She would have been more than willing,” I hissed.

“Don’t say stupid shit,” he said angrily.

“Oh, okay sure, Daimon. I’m stupid and Linda is the all-powerful executive. Screw you, Daimon,” I bit out. “Here I was thinking I should come here and see you, why? ‘Cause I missed you, if you can believe it, but stupid me, stupid Addie for thinking you were somehow different from before. You’re nothing but a prick, the usual Daimon,” I gritted through my teeth.

Daimon stood frozen as he stared at me though his now arctic eyes, cutting me with his sharp, icy look. The heart that grew nervous to see him, to be in his presence, to feel his warm hands on my body, turned hurt and resentful. How was he able to always find a way to hurt me? My heart twisted as thoughts of them having sex in his office emerged. The smell of her overpowering perfume clung to the air as we stood silently staring each other down. I shook involuntarily as images of him touching her flashed across my mind.

“Did you fuck her here in your office?” I asked wary of his answer. A low heavy growl emanated from the back of his throat as he let out a breath.

“Addie…”

“You bastard, you.” I shook my head at him. He came at me, but I moved away, wanting to leave.

“Addie,” he said desperately as he snatched my arm and pushed me against the door. I was pinned as he stood behind me, his large lean body pressing me against the hard wood.

“Addie,” he murmured in my ear. “My Addie.” My body slowly withered hearing my name escape his lips. I was angry and hurt but his voice, his low voice had me under his spell, my body wanted him, needed him.

“Addie, it’s only you I want. This bastard, this prick only wants you,” he breathed as his hand slowly moved across the front of my buttoned-down shirt. His hand easily slipped inside as he massaged my breast though my bra.

I breathed heavily as Daimon moved his hand away and down toward my pants. He unbuttoned my jeans as he softly licked my lobe.

“Addie, I’m sorry,” he said softly, kissing me just underneath my ear. “I’m sorry, baby.” He moved his hand down my jeans finding my nub. I closed my eyes and let my head fall back, letting him take me. He gradually circled my clit, working me up.

“God, Addie, I dream about you and the sweet hot liquid that comes from your pussy. Your sweet hot pussy.” He moved faster, sliding a finger inside my wet swollen folds. “Fuck, you’re so wet,” he breathed. I could faintly hear him unzip his pants. He pushed my jeans down lower. I clenched, anticipating him inside me.

“My Addie,” he groaned as his cock slid and gently swiped across my pussy. He grabbed onto my hips and slowly moved me, his hard length still gliding between my swollen flesh, hitting my clit. “Only you,” he moaned as he finally entered me. “Fuck,” he gritted. “Your pussy is so hot.” I moved slowly up and down his shaft, waiting for him to take over. “Addie.” He moved in closer as his hands cradled me on both sides. He pressed us both against the door, making it hard for me to move, as his throbbing cock gradually moved inside me. “I’m sorry, baby. I’m so fucking sorry,” he whispered as he fucked me in a slow, maddening way. My breath hitched and my body melted as he shamelessly continued his slow rhythm.

“I love you, only you,” he breathed into my ear.

I bit my lower lip stopping myself from saying it back to him. This nasty union of agony and lust I was feeling blinded me as I let him inside me, but I couldn’t help it. I wanted Daimon. My body stiffened as I felt my orgasm coming.

“Addie, come all over my cock. I need your sweet essence on me. I need to know I’m yours,” he moaned. His words breaking the very last of my strength making me come. Daimon stayed inside me, his hard penis feeling unwieldy. He leaned his head down to my neck.

“Addie I—” his office phone rang, stopping him for going any further. “Goddammit,” he bit out. He tried to stay longer inside me but the phone was unrelenting and Daimon’s patience grew thin. The moment he slipped out of me, I felt a void. My pussy ached for him still.

“Yes,” he barked.

“It’s Mr. Dyke. He’s here to see you,” Daimon’s secretary said over the speakerphone.

“Fine, give us a minute,” he snapped. I had already dressed, making myself presentable. I kept my back turned so I was not able to see him.

“Don’t go, not yet,” Daimon ordered as I grabbed onto the doorknob. “I will deal with Linda. She was out of line and I will make sure it will never happen again,” he said flatly.

“Then fire her,” I retorted.

“What?”

“You heard me, fire her,” I repeated.

“Addie, it’s not that simple,” he accosted me.

“It’s that simple for you to control me, then why not her?” I replied.

“She’s a valuable asset to the company,” he brooded.

“Fine, Daimon, I understand. I’m nothing but a toy for you to fuck,” I said menacingly.

“Addie, have you heard nothing of what I have said? I love you. You are my wife. I don’t give a flying shit about Linda, other than she hurt you, which I will deal with,” he berated me.

“Hey, Addie, what are you doing here?” Rafe walked in, interrupting us.

“Fuck, Rafe, don’t you fucking knock?” Daimon shouted.

“Sorry, man. The little lady outside told me to wait a few. I figured I was good.” He looked affronted.

“Don’t worry about it, Rafe. I’m leaving,” I said, smiling faintly at him as I started out.

“Addie, don’t you fucking think that you and I are done yet,” he shouted after me.

“You might not be, but I am,” I said bitterly.

Linda

I was awoken by Daimon’s soft caresses. After coming home from my emotional tango with Daimon, my body grew weak and tired. Jet lag was still an issue and I just didn’t want to deal with how I felt about Linda.

“Addie,” Daimon whispered in my ear. Drako stirred at my feet, waking me up further. “I know you’re awake. Don't pretend,” Daimon said hoarsely.

“I’m tired,” I muttered.

“I know, but I want to talk about Linda,” he said gruffly.

“I don’t,” I groaned.

“Addie, I don't want this past issue becoming a problem. I want to make sure I deal with it now,” he added. I opened my eyes in the lightly dimmed room and turned to face him. Daimon had changed and was only wearing his customary lounge pants leaving his chest bare.

“Why bother dealing with it?” I asked.

“Because of that very answer you gave me. I don’t want stupid shit eroding my relationship with you. I…” he took in a deep breath, “want to build on our relationship, not destroy it with my past indiscretions,” he muttered in annoyance.

“Past indiscretions? Is that what Linda is?” I asked sarcastically.
