Everything, all the bad and all the ugly, completely faded away.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

ANTONIO

Teresa was once again riding my cock cowgirl style. I don’t know why I kept her around; she was a shit lay and hooked on drugs. That was a lie; I knew exactly why I kept her around. She was a set of eyes I could have inside Sebastiano’s place. She often went to beg him for money or try to see their daughter. Lorena was a daddy’s girl through and through and wasn’t interested in seeing her drug-addicted mother. I didn’t fucking blame her, though; I’d get rid of her, too, if I didn’t have a use for her.

After losing Guido, I needed to keep Teresa, even though she was a
strega

She moaned as she moved her pelvis in circles. At least someone was getting something out of this. It wasn’t long before she lost her rhythm as she came.

I took control of her movements, grabbing her hips, and pulling her up and down on my cock, hard and fast until I came. Coming out of her post-coital state, Teresa lifted herself off me, allowing my cock to fall out of her slick pussy. She grabbed her dress off my desk and started to pull it over her head as I took the condom off and threw it in the bin under my desk.

“Will you do it then?” Teresa asked in a whiny tone as she tried to climb back on my lap.

Stupid bitch, I hadn’t even tucked myself back in my pants yet. I shoved her away as I rearranged my cock back in my pants and zipped them up.

“Are you fucking serious? The first thing that falls out of your mouth after I’ve just given you a royal fuck is about your ex and his newest whore?”

She rubbed my forearm with her hand. “Please, Antonio. You said you would think about killing her. If you won’t do it for me, think about what it will do to Sebastiano.”

Now
that
got my attention. The Don seemed to care about this one. He was so pissed when she walked into his club alone the other day. I’d watched her when she came back in and leaned over the bar to talk to the manager. She had one hell of a sexy arse, and I couldn’t seem to take my eyes off her.
I wouldn’t mind getting a piece of that.

“I’ll never get close enough to her. She always seems to be locked up in that mansion of his, unless she’s working at the club. And even then, she’s surrounded by his men.”

I let Teresa climb back on my lap as she tried to talk me into it. “She goes shopping with Lorena and they only ever take one guy and a driver who never leaves the car. Lorena is a creature of habit. She goes to the same place all the time after they finish shopping. It’s a little Italian café they always visit in Darling Harbour. A couple of your guys would easily overpower one of his men.” She started kissing my jaw.

Her plan just might work, but Sebastiano’s whore was too fucking hot to kill.

There was so much I could do with a beautiful whore like that. Jesus, she could make me a shit load of cash if I set her up in one of my brothels. I’d have to get my own fill of her first, though. And maybe, if I was feeling generous, my guys could share her for a gang-bang if they wanted to. My men liked doing that, and happy men meant loyal men.

My dick was getting hard again at the thought of fucking that fine piece of arse. Teresa noticed and started grinding herself against me again.

A grin graced her face. “You’re not usually up for seconds. I wouldn’t have bothered getting dressed again if I knew you were in such a frisky mood.”

When she grinned like that, I could see the woman Sebastiano must have been attracted to all those years ago. She was pretty underneath the bad skin and the tired eyes the drugs had caused over the years. I really didn’t want to fuck her again today. She had served her purpose. Teresa was only here because I gave her drugs when she needed them. In turn, she would keep spying on Sebastiano for me. I would never have been able to get to Guido if it wasn’t for her. She played him and he was hooked from the moment she gave him a blow job.

I stood, peeling her arms from around my head and effectively sliding her off my lap and thrusting the bitch off me. Teresa managed to get her balance before she landed on the floor. “I’m not interested in seconds from you,” I snarled, shoving her away from me.

Did she really think she was worth seconds? What a stupid bitch.

“You could have just asked me to move. There was no need to be so fucking rude and rough about it,” she complained as she turned away from me.

No one spoke to me like that. I grabbed her by her hair and wrenched her head backward, making her body bow back toward me.

She screamed.

She could scream all she wanted. No one would hear and it wouldn’t make a world of difference. All my men were well acquainted with hearing screams coming from my office. I’d never been soft and gentle with my whores. They were whores, after all; they liked it fucking rough, and if they didn’t, it was tough fucking shit because I was the one paying them. They give me what the fuck I wanted, when I wanted.

“You better watch your fucking mouth, bitch,” I hissed in her ear. “I won’t take back-chat like that. You do it again and you won’t live to apologise. Do you feel me?”

“Y…yes. I’m sorry…I didn’t mean—”

I cut her off as I released her and shoved her away from me, not caring to hear her fucking snivelling apology. “Get out. I don’t want to see or hear you for the rest of the day. Go find someone else to fuck.”

My main man, Luigi, opened the door right on time. He’d obviously heard me order her out. Teresa ran out the room without even glancing at Luigi on her way out. Good. That meant she knew I meant every word.

“Everything okay, Boss?” he enquired as he closed the door behind him.

I sat back against my desk as I ran a hand through my hair, trying to think of what to do next.
Should I really take Sebastiano’s whore? Can my men handle it?

“Everything is more than okay,” I told Luigi. If we could pull off what I had planned, I’d be a very powerful and wealthy man.

He looked at me with a curious glint in his eye. He knew I had an idea, and Luigi usually loved my ideas.

“We are going to take Sebastiano Morassi’s new whore, and we are all gonna enjoy the fuck out of her.” I couldn’t keep the satisfied smirk off my face as I told him the plan.

“When are we going to do it?” Luigi asked as he grabbed a bottle of scotch and two glasses off the bookshelf beside the door.

“Tomorrow.” I grabbed my phone off the desk and called Vern. He was a big son of a bitch who I knew could handle most of Morassi’s men. He may have a little trouble with Riccardo but that was why I was sending two of my guys. He picked up on the first ring.

“Vern, I need you in my office now, and bring the best fighter we have with you.” I hung up without waiting for his reply. There was no need for one; he would already be following my orders.

I took the glass of scotch Luigi had filled for me and sat back as we waited for Vern to turn up. It didn’t take him long; they must have both been on the premises. I weighed up the guy he brought with him. He was young but well built. I nodded in approval. He looked like he could handle himself well.
Yeah, he’ll do nicely
. I quickly ran through the plan once again.

Vern was straight to business. “What if they have more than the one guy with them?”

“If you don’t think you can fucking handle it, you fall back into the shadows. Then we try again another day with more men. But I’m warning you, they better have a fucking army with them if you can’t handle it.” My tone made it crystal clear that I wouldn’t be impressed.

“We won’t be coming back empty-handed. We can handle Morassi’s men. I just wanted to cover all the bases,” Vern assured me.

Happy with his answer, I walked over to the bookshelf and grabbed another two glasses. I quickly topped up all four glasses and handed them out. “So, are we all clear on the plan?”

After they all nodded in agreement, I saluted them with my glass before downing the lot.

Tomorrow will be an important day.

The day I make Sebastiano Morassi’s castle crumble.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

SIERRA

Lorena and I jumped from the car and hurried toward the large glass doors of our favourite café in Darling Harbour. Stefano was following behind us, as usual. We were both giggling and laughing at our purchases for the day. Over the last few weeks, Lorena and I had bonded and formed a trusting relationship. She had quite a funny sense of humour, and I loved our monthly shopping expeditions. If it was up to Lorena, she’d be shopping every day, but I had convinced her once a month was way more than enough. She did the usual Lorena thing: pouted her lips, whined and sulked to her father, but he didn’t give in. Sebastiano was beginning to see through her spoilt little tantrums. He loved her, though, and was constantly hugging and kissing his daughter. I never heard him
say
he loved her, I know he did, but I’d never heard him voice the words.

“Sierra, what are you ordering? And don’t say salad! You always order a salad and make me look like a pig when I go and order a burger and fries.”

I poked my tongue out at her. I was even acting immature. Lorena did that to me; her behaviour was somewhat infectious. I scanned the menu and decided I’d get the fish of the day. It was grilled and came with roasted balsamic veggies.
Perfect!

Unlike Lorena, I had to watch my weight. She could eat whatever her heart desired and never put on an ounce of weight. If only the weight I had put on had gone to my breasts and not my arse or my hips. The last time I complained about my weight gain in front of Sebastiano, he was not impressed. Later, when I was working out with him in the gym, he proceeded to show me just how much he appreciated my curves. I didn’t think I could ever look at that gym the same way again, especially the bench press.

“Did you order for me?” Stefano asked as he took a seat beside the two of us. “Riccardo needs the driver to pick up a delivery, so we have an hour.”

Lorena eyed him. “Why can’t
he
ever join us for lunch? He’s always so busy and has things to do. He could take an hour out of his day and have lunch with us,” Lorena complained. Stefano didn’t even answer; he only grinned.

“Lorena, stop moaning and order me the fish of the day with the veggies while I go visit the ladies.” Stefano stood to follow me but I pushed him back down in the chair.

“Really, you have to follow me to the ladies?” I scoffed.

“Come on, Sierra, you know the rules. The Don will have my balls if I don’t protect the both of you.” He was right and I sure didn’t want Stefano getting into any trouble. He was always professional, unlike Guido, and we all knew how that ended.

“Fine, but you wait outside the restroom. Do
not
come in.” I poked him in the chest playfully.

“Deal.”

***

When I came out of the restroom, it took me a full second to realise Stefano was not where I left him. The only other doors were the emergency exit and the swinging door leading to the kitchen.
Maybe he went out for a smoke, but if he did he wouldn’t have been able to keep an eye out on Lorena. Shit, where is he?
I started to panic. Never had Stefano or any of the men left me alone. Never.

I peered outside to our table to see if Lorena was still there. She was. Thank God, she was talking on her mobile, laughing. Stefano must be with her then. Just as I was about to make my way over toward our table, a masked man appeared in front of me. My heart sank. I spun around and darted back toward…shit, I didn’t know where to go. There was the restroom or the emergency exit. It was too late and before I could make a move, strong arms clamped around my waist.

I was in shock. Fear gripped my body. I tried to scream, but the man’s arm shifted to my neck and cut off my air supply. He pulled me backward as I struggled to breathe. He loosened his hand as I felt him open and slam a door shut. I tried to call for help but my heart stopped as he clamped his hand over my mouth again, muffling my scream for the second time. Something cold and round was pressed against my cheek. I didn’t have to see it to instinctively know what it was: a gun. My heart was suddenly pumping in double-time, my pulse racing in my veins as terror spiked through me.

Although I was feeling faint, I heard a sliding door of a van. Sheer terror gripped me, knowing I was being abducted. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t focus. Everything around me began to blur. My captor finally let go of my neck, and I gratefully gulped in several lungfuls of air. When a sweet-smelling rag was placed over my nose, I tried to hold my breath. I was shaking my head from side to side to avoid the pungent chemical.

I was suffocating.

My world began to spin.

***

LORENA

I dialled Sierra’s number again, for the third time.

“Sierra, where the hell are you? If I get this voicemail one more time, I’m going to come in there myself and drag you out by that gorgeous hair of yours. Hurry up, woman!” I hollered into the phone.

God Almighty, what the fuck is she doing in that ladies’ room? It’s been nearly twenty minutes. Where the hell is she?
I then tried Stefano’s number. No answer. It was
weird. Stefano always answer
s his phone, no matter what. I even remembered one time I called him and I could distinctly tell he was having sex. I could hear the woman moaning and groaning in the background. He didn’t give a shit. Concern flooded me. Something wasn’t right. The waiter walked up to the table with our food and lattes.

“Excuse me, Signorina Morassi,” he approached me nervously. “This note was left for you at the counter, the man said to give it to you when I bring out your order.”

“Grazie, Greg,” I said after reading his name badge. “Do you know who it was from or what the man looked like?” My father had instilled in me always to ask who it was if we ever received impromptu messages like this. In our family, you just never know what could happen or who could double cross you. Oh, the joys of being a Mafia Princess! It was probably just some avid admirer. I got these stupid little messages all the time, with eligible or sometimes not-so-eligible men asking me out on dates. Ugh! As if I’d date a complete stranger, unless of course the stranger looked like Riccardo. That man was simply delicious.
With my mind on Ricarrdo, I opened the envelope with a huge smile on my face. My hands trembled as I read the note. I stood and yelled out to Greg the waiter.
