“Kaliméra
, (good morning), how is my baby today?” She bends and kisses his mouth gently.

“She’s fighting fit.” He opens his eyes, smiles a sleepy smile, pushes his hips closer and she can feel his erection. She laughs gently and he looks at her with a twisted smile and says playfully,

“What?”

“And good morning to you too.” And she snuggles in to his embrace as tightly as possible.

He is rubbing himself up against her and she can’t help herself. She’s aroused, and she rubs herself against him too and he asks her,

“What can I do to alleviate the feeling for you?”

“Nothing
morό mou
, (my baby) but I wouldn’t mind looking at you pleasuring yourself.”

He pushes her back, looks into her face with a cheeky smile on his face,

“Would you now? What do you want? Whatever it is I’m at your service.”

“I want to watch you pleasuring yourself.”

“You shameful woman!” he smirks and takes her hand and puts it on his beautiful cock.

“This is yours to do with as you please.”

“Indulge me then,” she says and she feels so wanton and so loved at the same time, that she needs to see his pleasure without hers. He is all over her, sealing her mouth with his lavish lips, seeking her tongue, covering her whole body with his mouth and his hands.

“I love your body, your skin….all of you.” Murmuring through his kisses and his licks. “You have no idea how many twenty year-olds envy your body.” And with that her body stiffens.

He stops, pulls back and looks at her face.

“What’s wrong? Are you on a down about yourself again? It’s true, I should know.” And with that she pushes him back looks at him with a questioning expression.

“You told me you’re not into young women?”

He looks at her with a grin.

“It does not mean I have not had my share of them.” And in that one instant she feels more secure with him, more loved and even more appreciated. She kisses him deeply all over his gorgeous torso and he takes her face and locks her mouth with his, and into her mouth he utters,

“I told you that you are the most beautiful woman I have ever been with. I want to be yours. Please accept me as I am, as young as I am, and as besotted by you as I am.”

And for now she allows him into her heart and she loves him dearly. It’s ok if it’s just for now, as life is but a collection of scenes and this is just one of them, she told herself. Her time with Jason is but a scene out of her life; a scene she will tuck away and treasure till her old age. And with that he takes his queue and begins his onslaught on her body anew. She’s only wearing panties which for now are his only no go area. She feels his arousal all over her body as he moves to love her as only he knows how and she says to him.

“Let me watch you, I want to see you, your cock, your hands, your body putting on a show for me, as you pleasure yourself.”

And she pushes him back gently to look at all of him in all his beauty and in his aroused state. She touches his cock. It’s hugely engorged, it’s like velvet and all hers this moment.

“Play with yourself. Let me watch. I want to look at you.” He pulls himself up, grabs her from her underarms and props her up at the top of the bed, she’s sitting in the best viewing positing as he straddles her while on his knees and she watches him with lust in her eyes and love in her heart.

“You want to watch
morό mou
(my baby), then watch this.” He looks at her with a lascivious look from his lustful eyes as they change color in his lust. They seem to have flame in amongst the green. He proceeds to stroke himself with one hand while playing with his nipples with the other and caressing his body. And he starts to talk to her as he does when he is inside her.

“This is all yours. I’m all yours. We fit perfectly together, and I’m going to come all over your tits baby just for you….” She watches as he puts on a show for her. She tells herself that she has died and gone to paradise. He is hers all hers, for now at least, he is hers and it’s her that he wants. She goes to touch her breast and he takes her hand away.

“Don’t. Just sit there while I look at you baby, I want to see what I’m addicted to.” And with that he speeds up his action, he leans forward, starts to ravish her mouth, grabs her breast with his free hand, comes forward closer to her and starts to spurt on the cave of her breasts, spreading it with his hand and calling her name in her mouth,

“Elpída, moró mou, kardiá mou.”
(Hope, my baby, my heart)

And he is spent, he pulls her down on the bed and lies on top of her and in between his heavy breathing he says,

“I love it when you objectify me.” And she can feel and hear his smile.

Chapter Seventeen

Jason has finished his national service. He and Hope decide that they will stay together until it’s time to go back to Athens, back to their daily routine. The end was many things in Hope’s mind; the end of summer, the end of the love affair, the end of this dream.

The weeks are rolling by with sun, sea and love. Lots of love. A love that she cannot decipherer. Mostly it is with Jason’s lips all over her, his body ready to take her body any moment, at any time. A love that makes her feel whole as she has never been truly loved before and in the glory of this, she has no idea what is happening, where this is going and as much as it made her feel whole, she is terrified of actually feeling whole. It is a foreign concept to her, as she is used to the feeling of a huge piece missing in her life so far, and she seems to have found this piece with Jason. But Hope has no idea what to do with it, or what role it plays in her existence, as she knows it.

But most of all, Jason cares. He cares that she is well, that she has enough sleep, and he makes sure she eats. She always sleeps well in his arms, and he makes breakfast for her, often cooks, and mothers her. Hope suspects it is a need innate in each of them; her to be cared for and he to be the carer. Most of this time, she tucked away all the negative thoughts about herself in a corner of her brain, but she is always fearful that the dam might burst.

Pétro stays another week, goes back to Athens for a short business trip to London, and he would be back in August, a month where Southern Europe comes to a standstill. During the time that Pétro is away, Jason and Hope spend time with other people they know on the island, but mostly in each other’s company, as they both need each other like water is needed to nurture a summer garden.

Once she allows herself the luxury of being loved, she is happy for the first time in her life, but still always keeps in mind how tenuous this may be.

Another ideal day. It’s just the two of them on an idyllic Greek island beach, the azure blue sea with the sun shimmering on it and making it silver from where she was sitting on her beach bed. Lying beside her, the most gorgeous man on the island, who only has eyes for her and makes her wonder once again, what has she done to deserve this? Why can’t she have it for ever? They have their cold drinks next to them on the small table that came as part of the chairs and umbrella, and the waiter service from the café on the waterfront.

As she takes it all in, she tries not to think that this will end. The summer will end, and the love affair will end with the end of summer, even though Jason seems to think they could go further. But she knows that, even as they sit there, he was thinking about his future. Jason has to start a career and he has to decide where he will live, and even though he has said nothing of this to her, she knows he is waiting for her and her decision, about where they would go as a couple after summer.

“Going for a dip. Want to come?” he gets up and looks down at her and all she can do is stare at his beauty and sigh.

“Nah, I’m too lazy and anyway, I just want to look at your butt as you walk away.” She smiles and he bends over and kisses her lightly on the forehead and turns and walks away. She watches him as he meanders towards the sea on the wooden boards, avoiding the burning sand. He stops suddenly and finds himself in the arms of an absolutely devastatingly beautiful female body, just a few centimetres shorter than him. The woman’s body is to salivate over, with long blond curls, in her twenties (from what Hope can tell from where she sat). They kiss each other on the cheeks and even though Hope is out of reach of hearing, she can tell there is something intimate in the way they talk.

She can see the woman’s face. She wears a beautiful smile and seems to be laughing out loud. She has no idea what he has said to make her laugh like that, and Hope is sensing rising jealousy in her heart, which is burning up and disintegrating her. But it occurs to her, that at least if she did not have a heart it would not hurt anymore. She has no right to be jealous, of course, nor does she have any claim on him. She knows that. He is not hers. He can never be. She needs to absorb that notion fast, as she keeps telling herself.

Hope stews for the rest of the day. Of course she has made herself miserable, but she will not say anything. She begs, “Goddess Aphrodite (goddess of love and beauty), please help me. Please. Please, be kind to me,” Hope is new to real love, and she doesn’t know what to do with it. She just knows that she’s not allowed to have him. Her past tells her that life will not let her have him.

While she goes on praying to Aphrodite, (the Goddess of Love), for the rest of the day, she’s tortured with all the thoughts of going back to Athens. Hope must talk to Jason. She must tell Jason that her son will not be coming back to Europe. She must tell him that he has decided to finish his studies in Australia. She must tell him because she knows that this will affect her own stay in Europe. She is aware that she has been keeping information from him, not to be secretive but more out of confusion, as everything around them seems to be conspiring to keep them apart.

She worries about Jason’s future. Hope cares, as she has bolted into his life unexpectedly for both of them. And she has no idea where to place herself, even though he seems more comfortable with her in his life than she is being in his life. But she knows he has to make his own decisions soon, as summer will be over.

“But Aphrodite, even as I think all this, who was that stunning woman with him?” And even though it was a brief encounter Hope has to know who she is. Yet, she knows that she should not go there. She wants to be strong and mature and above jealousy, and other petty feelings.

They are home, eating a light lunch of beautiful fresh vegetables made into a sumptuous salad with fresh scampi and a shot of ouzo. All local produce. They eat in silence.

“Why am I getting the silent treatment?” he startles Hope with this question.

“What do you mean?”

He reaches over and runs his thumb down her cheek while she avoids looking at him.

“Look at me,
morό mou (my baby).”
And she looks up. “You have hardly said a word all the way home. We’re eating in silence. I said nothing as I thought the sun had got to you and now you’re sulking.”

“I’m not sulking. I’m just thinking about so many things that I have to do soon; my family, my work, getting back to some normality.” She wipes her mouth as she’s done eating and so is he. He looks at her for a bit without saying anything.

“I’m not buying it. I know you well by now.”

“Jason, I can’t do this now, I’m off to have a shower and a lie down. I’ll clean up later.” She gets up, moves towards the bathroom and hears him say,

“I’ll clean up. You go clean yourself up and we are not finished with this.”

She showers, and changes into a cool cotton short nightdress. She glances in the kitchen and it has been cleaned up. He is washing dishes and Goddess, he is gorgeous. She goes and lies down, leaving the bedroom door ajar, not wanting him to think she’s shutting him out.

Nevertheless, she is dreading the conversation coming. She hears him go into the bathroom, hears the shower running. Has the conversation been terminated?

She hopes so. He comes in to the bedroom with not a stitch on his beautiful body, while she pretends to be reading and momentarily, she wonders if she’s holding her book upside down. As she watches him, with his stealthy movements, while he is looking for his underwear. He finds a white pair of boxer shorts, puts them on and looks at her from the end of the bed.

“You’re not reading, so spill it. I’m getting a glass of water. Do you want one?”

“No, I’m fine, thanks.” He goes, drinks his water, comes back standing under the doorframe, arms folded. Those amazing arms, that hold her with so much passion and tenderness.

“Oh please Goddess Aphrodite, help me now. I need your help right now!” She tells herself silently. He’s leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed and one ankle over the other.

“I’m waiting. What’s eating you up?” he is looking at her with a creased brow and a sullen face - a look she’s not used to, but seeing it now, she knows it’s a serious look. And so, she suddenly feels like a teenager, a time in her life in which she doesn’t have happy memories.

“Jason, come lie down and rest. I’m fine, it’s hot and the sun has got to my head. Let’s just rest.”

“You know I’m going to stand here forever until we have this conversation, and I know I have more endurance in this sort of confrontation than you have. So let’s talk.”
