DEDICATION

I thought when I finally got the chance to say something to you I would know exactly what, and how to say it but I was wrong. I get choked up from the thought of you and I would give any and everything I have just to see you again. So many times I’ve wanted to give up and call it quits but I know it was you that kept me going. Thank you for watching over me, keeping me safe and out of harms way. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if it wasn’t for you, and for that I will always be grateful. You are my unspoken words, my thoughts and my daydreams. I love you.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Wow. Where do I start? First let me thank God for blessing me with the ink that flows through my pen, for giving me this crazy imagination that allows me to come up with all these ideas. For breathing air into my lungs and keeping me out of harms way. Many times I questioned the obstacles you placed before me, wondered “why me” but I understand now that all my tribulations made me who I am today.

To Love. Thank you J for listening to me ramble on and on about all the different ways I could’ve wrote this book. Thank you for giving me the courage and pushing me to do something I was afraid to do. You know my story better than anyone else and I thank you for always being by my side. Sometimes I just need someone to listen and allow me to say what’s going on in my head and you have been that person. Thank you. Thank you for loving me and for holding me down. When no one else is there, I know I can always count on you and that means the world to me. It takes a special kind of person to put up with me... I guess that makes you crazy too! No matter where we are or where life takes us I will always be by your side.

To Geo; you knew you were gonna get a shout out! Thank you for thinking that I am the hottest thing to touch a pen! You are a very talented writer and I appreciate all your feed back and input with this book and my writing in general. Good friends are hard to find.

Marcus Green. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again. When I was pulling my hair out because my computer crashed, you gave me yours. You

Lá Femme Fatalé Presents

believed in me when I wanted to give up. When I was complaining about not having the right pen to write with, you went and bought me a whole pack.. lol. You listened to me pout, dealt with my temper tantrums, and told me to shut up and keep going. Thank you for pushing me. You are a very good friend to me, one of my best friends and I will always be there for you.

To my BFF Toccara thank you for believing in me. I remember when I used to write letters and poems for you at Clark...lol. I remember all the times you used to read me scriptures to try and lift my spirits...you know how I feel about the religion thing but I don’t think I would’ve made it if I didn’t have you praying for me. Thank you. Thank you for understanding me when most people don’t. You are my sister and I love you endlessly.

To Bree and Wendi..we are on our way to creating our own SITC!! I tried to tell ya’ll your baby sister was hot!!! Thank you for your support and for being “real” friends over these past 9 years.

To everyone who has ever read anything I have written, thank you for all your support. Thank you to my aunt Nina, Cousin Tiffany, Auntie Terri, and my Uncle David. My gratitude extends to anyone that I have forgotten to name; please do not be offended, you are in my heart. Tre Wilborne...thank you for Inside out Thoughts Transformed....

To my brother; my guardian angel, thank you for all the little things you have done for me along the way. Teaching me how to ride a bike, climb trees, play video games, thank you for teaching me how to fight...your little sis is kinda nice with her hands!!! LOL. I have always looked up to you even during times when you thought I shouldn’t have. You are my hero. Thank you for believing in your “little baby”, we don’t have to drink Boone’s Farm anymore! Our story will always be one that only you and I understand, a story that has molded us and made us who we are. I love you.

And to a man that lives miles away. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me. Thank you for giving me life. For thinking that your baby girl can do any and everything she puts her mind to. Thank you for all the times you put together my toys, cleaned my cuts, tried to comb my hair! Lol. We’ve learned so much about each other, things that I’m not sure we would know if the situation was different. We have both turned something tragic into something beautiful and although we fight with it everyday, we fight together.. and that will never change. I love you.

To everyone that lives in Cleveland; don’t ever let anyone tell you that you cant make it out of the city. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that your dreams; your goals aren’t possible. Cleveland is a beautiful city; even the grimy parts, and I wouldn’t want to be from anywhere else.

Last but not least, to my family at La’ Femme. Thank you for giving me a chance, for seeing something inside of me and taking a chance on raw talent. Michele told me that she is tired of being the only one out here grinding, the only one hungry... well she isn’t the only one. I’m here, I’m starving and I’m not going anywhere.

As an adolescent I was raped by the world, I lost my heart and soul to reality as a little girl. Alone I stand in darkness in search of light Trying to find an end; to this battle of pain that I fight. Temporary happiness is all that I have, Broken promises from a family that I thought would last. I have dreams of a demon that took an Angel’s life Her eyes wide with fear he set her soul free with a knife. My thoughts are invaded by the sounds of her screams Tossing and turning from the nightmare of seeing blood in my dreams. I awake in a cold sweat as I throw back the covers Hot tears sting my face realizing that Angel was my mother. I suffer from guilt asking myself isn’t their something I could’ve done But I was face to face with the devil, a battle I lost and he won. Yet somehow I’ve managed to live after my heart has been ripped Without clothes Exposed I stand in front of you naked Bare Stripped

The melodic tapping sound of Jai’s black stiletto heels tapped against the pavement as she approached her cherry BMW 525i.

She punched the numbers in on her phone and patiently waited for the call to be connected. It had become routine for her to call and let her kids know she was on her way home from work ever since her and Sean separated. She was trying her best to make sure they were happy and that they weren’t being affected by what was going on.

This whole ordeal was taking a toll on her and she couldn’t understand how things had gotten this bad. At first she tried to ignore the phone calls, the lies, him leaving in the middle of the night, his frequent trips to Oakland. It wasn’t until she found the panties in his glove compartment that her glass house soon started to shatter all around her.

“Hi mommy!”

“Hi baby girl.” Holding back laughter, she smiled at the squeaky sound of her daughter’s voice. “What you doing munchkin? Where is Angel? Did you eat anything yet?”

“Um…Auntie Carmen ordered us pizza and now we’re playing Super Mario 3.”
“Pizza huh? Did you have fun at the park?”

“Yes mommy. I ran across this big bridge that shook when you walked across it and I wasn’t scared! Angel and I got on the paddle boats and Auntie Carmen let us feed the ducks too!”

“Wow Asjiah! It sounds like you had a very exciting day. Tell Angel to pause the game and the two of you need to go brush your teeth and put on your pajamas. You can finish playing when you’re done.”

“Okay.” Muffled noises filled the receiver as the little girl ran off to deliver the message. “Angel, mommy said we have to brush our teeth and put our pajamas on. Mommy, are you coming home now? We want to show you how far we got on the game. Angel made it to the part where Mario is flying and there’s a dinosaur on here name Yoshi!”

“Yes baby doll. I’m on my way now. I’ll be there in a few minutes. I love you and tell your brother I love him too.”
“We love you too mommy, bye.”

Pulling out the parking lot, Jai’s deep brown eyes were filled with tears as she thought about her marriage while Sade sung about her Sweetest Taboo on the radio..

“Yes! Yes! Ooh, do that shit baby! Fuck me! Fuck me!” Sandra bucked back and forth as she threw herself into Sean’s dick.
“You like that? Tell me you like it.”
“Ooh, I like it baby, I like it!”
“It’s big ain’t it? Tell me this shit’s big. You like this big dick don’t you?”
“Aw, shiiittt!!!! Yes! Yes I like this big dick!”

“I’m bout to nut! Take this nut for me Jai!” Sean pulled Sandra’s hair back as he released himself inside of her. Brushing her hair off her face he gently kissed her cheek. “I love you Jai.”

“Get your sorry ass off me nigga!” Practically throwing Sean on the ground Sandra jumped out of bed and began getting dressed.
Not realizing what he had done, Sean propped his head up on one of the pillows and began massaging his dick. “What the Fuck’s wrong with you?”

“Every time we have sex you say her name.” Almost tipping over she put her other leg in her jeans. “I’m not Jai! I’m not your fucking wife Sean! At first I ignored it because you were drunk, but then you said it again, and you said that shit twice just now!”

Tears filled her eyes as she stared back at him. It was her fault that she allowed herself to be the other woman. Blinded by his boyish good looks and his perfect body she allowed him to do whatever he wanted even if that included being Jai’s substitute.

“Shut up with all that crying and get back in the bed.” His head began to hurt as he listened to her whining. His dick was still hard and he wanted some more pussy.

“When are you going to leave her? You said we were gonna be together, was that another one of your lies Sean?”

Realizing this wasn’t going to end, Sean got up and put his clothes on. “I don’t have time for this shit. I’m out.”
“You’re in no condition to drive. Give me your keys.”

“I want to see Jai.” Slurring his words he stumbled into the hallway. “I want to see my wife. Take me to see my wife.”

“What if it’s a set up, what if she lied and she has someone there waiting for you? You said that she’s been having someone follow her home to make sure she gets there safe so what if that someone is there tonight?”

“A set up? You sure have a lot of fucking assumptions for somebody who don’t know shit.” Sean steadied himself against the doorway. “Besides, Jai wouldn’t do that. I just want to talk to her. Tell her that I made a few mistakes and that I want our family back.”

Sandra positioned herself on all fours trying to entice him to come back to bed.
“What are you doing?” Rubbing his temples Sean tried to will his headache away.
“Come back to bed baby. I’m sorry. If you want to call me Jai that’s fine, I’ll be whatever or whoever it is you want me to be.”

“Oh yeah, well that’s nice but I don’t see how I can mistake you for Jai when I constantly have to hold your titties up when we’re fucking. Have you ever thought of having surgery for that shit?”
