He could make me come apart with a simple snap of his fingers, but he constantly found ways to make me moan in surprise. It didn’t take long before an earthquake rocked my body. My legs shook so hard Sawyer had to keep them steady with his hands as I exploded around him.

“More,” I begged. “I want more of you.” I blinked the stars out of my eyes and dug my nails into his back, impatiently bringing him up to me. “Please, Sawyer.” My thighs fell open even wider, inviting him inside.

It didn’t take long for him to obey my request and satisfy my demand for his body. With a ravenous groan, he guided himself deep into me. His initial thrust was hard and demanding, forcing my breath out and making my toes curls in raw ecstasy as I cried out his name.

His hard length stretched me to a point where pain met pleasure, filling every crevice of my core with so much ecstasy I thought my entire body and mind were going to detonate right then and there.

Death by euphoria—that’s how Sawyer would slay me.

Then he did something unexpected and stilled above me, holding his weight up by his arms and claiming me with his eyes. “I’m so lucky to be in love with my best friend,” he whispered against my lips. “No gold medal will every compare to you. You’re my heart. My Silver Heart.”

Love and passion melted into one until I no longer knew where my heart began and the rest of me ended. I clenched tightly around him, holding onto every part of his body I could grasp as he began to move inside me once again.

First gently, slowly, lovingly, then with so much intensity I could barely keep up with his rhythm. My legs ended up on his shoulders as he explored new depths of my soul with each powerful thrust. The entire time, he looked deep into my eyes, only taking occasional breaks to kiss my neck, tease my nipples, and indulge in my mouth.

The air around us smelled like sex—musty, sweet, sensual. Our heavy breathing merged into one impatient melody as we climbed to the highest peak toward pure, unearthly liberation. Before long, I could no longer hold back.

I had to let go. I needed to lose control.

My entire world burst into a million pieces until I was pretty sure that our wonderfully rapturous blend of lovemaking and fucking brought about the end of times. I moaned Sawyer’s name over and over again as tidal waves of love and lust rocked through me, simultaneously triggering his release.

As we dissolved into each other, I knew that Sawyer would always be there to catch me when I came apart, to kiss me, to love me, and to forever be mine. Even after I was spent, my body continued to pulse with a craving for him.

Still inside me, he looked down at me with loving eyes. “You’re unreal, Silver.”

“You’re not so bad yourself, Sawyer,” I said.

It was a lie. He was amazing. Hell, he was the
best ever
.

Everything with Sawyer was the best ever—best kiss, best sex, best proposal.

Our life together would also be the best ever. Maybe not perfect, but definitely the best ever.

I no longer cared that I didn’t know what the last sentence of our novel read. Instead, I wanted to take my time and embrace our story as I leisurely explored all chapters, lived on each page, and cherished every single word.
