“I’m not old!” I said laughing lightly. He cocked his head to the side.

“So you don’t belong to Trig?” he
asked and swayed a little unsteady on his feet.

“Ethan wants me to be my own person.” I said brightly, a creeping dread stealing between my shoulder blades. Dray dipped his head to bring us eye to eye.

“If you don’t belong to Trigger than you’re anybody’s meat.” He bit the last word off in my face and my heart sank.

“Dray let me go, you’re scaring me.” I tried.

“I’m a scary guy.” He said and crushed his mouth over mine. I recoiled as he forced his tongue past my teeth, the bitter bite of stale booze and cigarettes flooded my mouth and I winced. I tried to shove him but he was bigger and outweighed me.  I made a noise of protestation and felt hot angry tears well in my eyes.

I wanted him off me! I tried to bring my knee up between his legs but he deflected. I struggled and screamed into his mouth and finally I bit savagely down on his lower lip. He yelled and jerked his head back and I tasted blood.

“Stupid bitch!” his hand flew out and landed in a stinging slap across the left side of my face. I opened my mouth and screamed in fear, the sound long and loud and piteously high and I prayed someone, anyone would hear it in time…

Beefy hands covered in a smattering of dark hair across the knuckles captured Dray by the shoulders and pulled him backwards off of me. He flew down the steps and landed hard on his back and I looked down into the tempestuous eyes of his father.

Oh no.
My heart sank.

Chapter 21

Trig…

It didn’t even occur to me anything was wrong. One second I’m throwing a jab at Derek and the next Dray is sprawling at my feet. I looked up and over from the direction where he came from to see Dragon, and he was fucking heated. Just behind him Ashton stood hugging herself, looking dazed, eyes wide and glimmering with tears, the outline of a red handprint across her jaw and cheek.

Derek caught me in the mouth with a half pulled punch and I leaned back from it. I was already moving in Ashton’s direction.

“Babe what happened?” I asked her and she launched herself at me, small arms going around my waist where she could reach. She sobbed into my chest and Dragon looked sorrowful.

“Dude, what the fuck happened to my girl!?” I asked him. A hush fell over the crowd and no one dared to breathe.

“I happened.” The voice came from behind me and I turned slowly with Ashton in my arms. Dray stood in the center of the ring. Reaver was suddenly beside us and I passed Ashton into his arms.

“Ethan…” she said but her small frightened voice was carried on the wind because I was already launching myself at Dray.

“No women, no children!” Dragon called behind me his deep voice intoning, “Dray tried to force himself on Trigger’s girl. I came up on it with my own eyes! Trigger take your retribution. Boy you take your lesson!” but I was already laying into Dray.

I punched him in his god damn mouth which was already bleeding and he went to his knees in the sand. I kicked out and connected with his chest and the air left him in a whoosh. Angry shouts broke out around us as I lit into him. It was Ashton that finally stopped me. The fucker had attacked her,
hit her
and there she was, throwing herself over his head and shoulders in an effort to protect his worthless ass with her small body.

“Ethan stop!” she screamed and I did. I wasn’t about to hurt my girl. Dray groaned and lay there which was good. Fucker better stay down.

“Church in fifteen. I need a fucking proxy.” Dragon said bitterly, looking down dispassionately at his son.

The crowd dissipated and I went to my knees in the sand and pulled Ashton to me. She let me.

“Why’d you stop me?” I asked, chest heaving.

“Because it was enough.” She said, voice strangled.

“No. Not enough. Never enough for anyone that lays a hand on my girl.” I said and picked her up. Doc and two prospects moved in to deal with Dray’s worthless ass who was coughing into the sand. Ashton looked down at Dray with pity in her eyes and I couldn’t fathom it. Later though. It would have to be later. I took us up to the cabin and got her inside and into the light. The handprint on her face was already fading and didn’t look like it was going to bruise.

“What happened?” I asked her.

“I was coming out of the cabin and I ran into Dray, like literally ran face first into him. He grabbed onto my arms to keep me from falling over and I ended up back against the wall.” She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, dried her tears and took several more breaths before continuing.

“He said something about me being old and I laughed and said I wasn’t old, I’m only thirty… Then he said something about me belonging to you like I was your property and I said no, that you let me be my own person.” She looked at me, golden eyes bright with tears. We had a full council of five in here. The next man down the line taking Dray’s place. Reaver sat next to me and Ashton on the couch. He put a hand on her knee to steady her.

I ran a hand through my hair. I knew what was up, what’s more I knew it was my fault. I’d kept Ashton ignorant all this time… I grimaced.

“Then he said if I didn’t belong to anyone that I was anyone’s meat and he kissed me. I tried to push him off but he’s
bigger’n me.” She sniffed and tears welled. Doc laughed.

“Sunshine everybody is
bigger’n you.” He said and low chuckles swept the room.

“I know.” She said dejectedly.

“Then what happened Sugar?” Reaver asked gently.

“I bit him.” She said and I was proud of her. She sighed and went on.

“You should have seen the hurt in his eyes. Then he got mad to cover it and he slapped me and I screamed and then Dragon was there.” She looked up at Dragon.

“I’m so sorry…” she said and he shook his head.

“Not your fault Chica.” He said.

“No it’s mine.” I sighed, “I didn’t explain to Ashton what an Old Lady is or what being an Old Lady means. I didn’t want to put any kind of tag of ownership on her like her d
ouchebag ex.” I looked at her. “You’re nobody’s property Baby. Least of all mine, but for all intents and purposes when it comes to the club or any other biker, you’re my Old Lady to keep you safe. I should have told you.” I said. I searched her face while she processed things.

“I am yours,” she said finally, quietly, “Not because of stupid club politics or because you want me to be… I’m yours because
I
want to be yours. I have been for a while now.” She gave me a brave little half smile and I wondered if she was ever going to stop amazing me.

“This is all very touching but what are we going to do with Dray?” Data asked acting as Dray’s proxy.

“I’m satisfied. I set everybody in this up for failure.” I said miserably, “I put myself up for judgment and punishment under our code.” Ashton hugged me tighter and looked at me stricken.

“All right.” Dragon sighed… “Two issues. Dray’s behavior and Trig’s lack of common sense
for thinking with his pud.” Dragon smirked at me. It was a fair jab and seeing as he just let me beat the brakes off his only child, I could deal.

“I vote ‘satisfied’ on Dray.” I said.

“I second.” Reaver said.

“Aye.” Doc.

“Aye.” Data.

“Nay, but I’m out voted. So entered.” Dragon knocked on the coffee table.

“I vote no punishment on Trig.” Data.

“Yay, no punishment.” Reaver.

“No punishment.” Doc and Dragon together.

“Looks like I’m outvoted.” I smiled. Ashton was quiet on my lap.

“So entered.” Dragon knocked.

“I need a fucking drink.” Data said and pushed to his feet.

“I’m with you.” Doc said and they went out.

“Where’s Dray? Is he okay?” Ashton asked.

“Yeah, he’ll be sore in the morning though.” Dragon commented dryly and pushed to his feet he smoothed some hair out of Ashton’s face and she looked up at him bewildered.

“I love my boy but I can admit when he’s done wrong. I’m sorry he did that to you, he gets real screwed up around the time of his momma’s death.” Dragon sighed.

“I could see the hurt.” Ashton said softly, “Dray is an intense person but I don’t think he’s a bad one, can’t be with a daddy like you.” She smiled up and Dragon grinned down at her.

Tryin’ to butter me up Sunshine?” he asked.

“Never know when it might come in handy.” She said softly and he laughed.

“Yer a trip.” He said and went back out into the night leaving Ashton me and Reaver.

“You two going to fuck?” Reaver asked lazily.

“Maybe.” I said, gazing at my girl, who was mine because
she
wanted to be mine.

“Why?” she asked softly.

“’cause I wanna watch. Duh.” Reaver gave her a lazy grin and she laughed.

“You
’re incorrigible.” She said.

“No idea what that means,” he said shrugging, “But it sounds badass so I’m in.”
He kicked his feet up onto the coffee table and put his hand down his shorts Al Bundy style.

“Have you watched Ethan before?” she asked softly.

Reaver laughed, “Yeah, we’ve even shared a girl or two in the past.” He said and I smacked him in the shoulder for oversharing. Ashton didn’t look outraged or disgusted though, she looked thoughtful.

“You want to watch me and Ethan.” She said finally. Reaver rolled his eyes up and over to look into hers.

“Ashton you’re gorgeous. The only thing better than watching Trigger’s cock disappear inside you would be watching
my own
go there.” He said frankly. I rolled my eyes.

“Tact, brother, you need to learn some.” I said.

“No, I appreciate his honestly.” Ashton shrugged.

“Does that mean I get to join in?” he asked hopeful and she laughed.

“I’m still trying to wrap my head around letting another man watch me while I have sex with my boyfriend. Slow down!” She cuddled into my chest then looked up at me worried. I was still glowing from her calling me her boyfriend. Juvenile but true.

“Wouldn’t you get jealous?” She asked.

“Of what? Reaver is my best friend and you just said, you’re my girl because you want to be… what is there to be jealous of?” I asked her. She squeezed her eyes shut. Reaver looked at me like I’d grown a second head and I shrugged.

“Never said I was cons
istent Bro.” I told him thinking back on the day in the ‘Y’, Ashton’s words echoing in my head.
I’m yours because
I
want to be yours…

“I can’t believe I’m having this
conversation.” She muttered.

“Hey,” Reaver nudged her leg with his shoulder, “That’s all this is,
is a conversation. Just let me know if you ever want to go there and like I said, I’m game. Leastways until I get a girl of my own which I see happening, oh say, never…” He grinned but it was sharp and cold with self deprication.

“Wait, so you two have done this before, does that mean…” she trailed off but we both laughed picking up at the same time what she was putting down.

“No we’re not into each other. We’re into
girls
. We just know how to share.” I shrugged and she chewed her lip. I was growing hard just thinking about it. Didn’t do devil’s threesomes very often but when I had they had always been fun times. Reaver shifted in his seat and I could tell he was just as hot for the idea as I was. Still it was up to my girl.

“Would you be okay with just watching?” she asked tentatively.

“Sure. I’m’a stroke it though.” He said, she smiled.

“I don’t know. I still have to think about it.” She said chewing her lip.

“No worries Princess.” Reaver said getting up and going for the kitchen, “You want a beer?” He asked.

I was watching Ashton’s thoughtful face
, she was really considering this...

“Sorry what?” I asked.

“Beer?”

“Yeah.” I said and he brought me one.

He flopped back down onto the couch and held his bottle against the fading red mark on Ashton’s cheek. She closed her eyes and sighed in relief.

“That feels good.” She murmured.

Reaver smiled at me and I smiled at him. Maybe she would maybe she wouldn’t but I thought she’d had enough excitement for one night.

“Tired?” I asked her.

“Yeah.” She said softly.

“I think you need some cuddle time girl. No sex. Just a man
sammich with you as the filling. Come on.” Reaver got up and picked her up out of my lap. I trusted him so I let him. We went into our room and shut the door. Reaver set Ashton down and she rooted around in the bag for one of my tee shirts.

Uhm do you mind turning around?” she asked Reaver and he took a pull off his beer.

“Yeah, but I’d do anything for my best friend’s girl.” He said and grinned before turning around. I laughed at him. She stripped out of her swimsuit and shorts and pulled my shirt over her head. God I was hard. I resolutely told my cock to shut up and she sighed.

“Okay.” She got up into the bed which was queen sized. It was going to be a tight fit but that wasn’t a bad thing.

I stripped down to my boxers and got in on one side. Ashton curled tight to my side, one leg going over mine, her head on my shoulder and I sighed, at peace. Reaver left his basketball shorts on, knowing him he was commando anyways, and set his beer on the dresser. He got in behind Ashton and spooned her kissing her where her shoulder met her neck.

“This is nice.” She said sleepily a moment later. Reaver’s eye’s sparkled over her shoulder at me his grin hidden from view but I knew it was there. We fell asleep, the three of us and were comfortable. It wasn’t awkward and I was in awe of my girl one more time.

The next morning I woke up to
a thoughtful looking Reaver, chin propped in one hand, the other caressing the dip in Ashton’s side before the swell of her hip. He had his hand under the hem of my shirt against her skin, I raised an eyebrow and he sighed extracting the hand and settling it on top of the thin cotton material. I let the eyebrow go back down.

Ashton was warm and soft where she was fetched up against me, her breathing steady and even. She slept like the dead I swear to god and it was a mark of how much the day before had taken out of her that she was asleep now while Reaver and I were both awake. She was
always
up before me.

“What
‘cha thinkin’ man?” I asked quietly.
