Frances Fen: mother, 35, dispatcher. Runs day care and comm. shack with Pete and Jolie

Paul Fen: father, 35, truck driver, becomes convoy trail master. Married high school sweetheart.

Aimee Fen: newborn girl, name means loved.

Four women with five daughters: daughters range in age from 3-9. Maggie, Kathy, Sasha, adults. Maggie is a veterinarian. Kathy is a teacher and takes over teaching and daycare.

Piotr Legoyvich: 22-year-old Russian college student. Intern at astronomy center. He serves as the weatherman and astronomer of Capital Base. The young man lost most of his toes due to frost bite the first winter.

Henry Doyle: 25-year-old Irish/Brit partnered with Piotr. Loses toes and a pinky finger due to frostbite. Plumber Miguel is assistant.

Amazon Village survivors: all lost some fingers and toes due to frostbite.

Phyllis Yeager: former army sergeant, now hunter & co-security with Brian.

Selma: former seamstress, become tailor/textile manager.

Jacklynn: 26-year-old Australian pilot.

Fallen woman: Natali: 23-year-old secretary. Naive “dumb blonde.”

Mistress Tabatha dominatrix: female leader of amazons, possible murder. Mother to teenage girl. Tries to shape village to matriarch society. Beats and mistreats males. Dies in blizzard.

Diane Vesta priestess: former minister now manufactures religion for dominatrix. Co-leader. Dies in blizzard. Brunette, short, struts, acts like Marcy from

Charlie: father to Billy and Kelly. Claimed to be killed by razor cat. Brian says it was murder.

Giles: 10-year-old male, British, black male at beginning of BSC1. By age 12 he has become an accomplished bush pilot.

Mike: leader 32-year-old survivalist, retired army major, now called “Iron Mike.”

Jason: 24-year-old male, Canadian medic.

Sarana: pregnant female, African domestic manager, gives birth to little boy.

Hadji: 11-year-old male, Indian.

Buck: 15-year-old male, Native American.

Bill: 23-year-old corporal, security leader,

Jill: 17-year-old female, security.

Luke: 28-year-old male named after Luke Skywalker, engineer of group.

Miguel: 20-year-old male, Nicaragua. Does not understand English well.

The J brothers, Tj and Cj: fraternal twins, 20-year-old engineers get chewed up by the leviathan. Tj lost his arm. Cj lost his left leg.

Sam: road crew boss.

The Mencia family: Julio (carpenter) senora Mencia: ceramic potter, Paco: 10-year-old son. Gracia: 4-year-old daughter.

Ishtar: Mideast 20-year-old woman. Shy and apprehensive teacher for group.

Boxie: orphan boy and dog used as a messenger.

John Henry Irons “Steele”: giant black man, former football player, metallurgist. Now blacksmith, has a great sense of humor, big smile.

Theo Huxtible: black teen, basketball player, college student, now guard.

Senji & Toki Oshiwa: Japanese couple, Senji is a geologist. Toki is a biochemist. Toki worked with Doc and Maggie to create anti-venom for scorpions.

Jason: 16-year-old young Turk. Foolhardy kid. Gets ripped apart by leviathan.

Ash Ketchum: 15-year-old boy. Hates being associated with Pokémon.

Victor Pechenkov: 26, Georgian army sergeant. Speaks broken English. Head of security.

Jewel: 29 (and holding), actress/stripper.

Steve Austin: Canadian miner at diamond mine.

Jessica walker: Hong Kong architect. 28, female. British Chinese “Jessie”.

Jenkins: 32-year-old professional man servant. Becomes majordomo of Copper Town with Helen.

Dora and Diego Fuentes: 30-year-old zoo keepers from Mexican zoo. Now manage animals.

Cookie w/8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old daughter.

Ned: 18-year-old, mechanic, helper to Axel.

Mary Anne: radio operator.
