Determined to make
it another full week, I tried to turn my thoughts to something else.
I pulled up my stock market app to see
how my investments had closed out the week.
That only distracted me for a few
seconds.
I’ve got two newbies and a level three lined up for tomorrow, so I need
to get some sleep.
Maybe a good
stiff drink will help
.
After four or five
shots of Jameson, my mind finally started to calm down and my eyelids began to
grow heavy.
Unfortunately, I
instantly sprung back to life when my phone beeped.
I knew it had to be Raven.
It was Sapphire
instead.
Sapphire:
Congrats!
I see you guys had another record show.
Me:
Thanks
I had known
Sapphire long enough to know that she wasn’t contacting me to tell me
congratulations.
What does she really want?
Sapphire:
I guess I’ve been completely replaced,
huh?
Me:
Sorry you feel that way.
You and I had a good run.
Sapphire:
When are we going to do a scene with
Raven?
Me:
Level 7 – in two weeks.
Sapphire:
I can’t wait
…
;
)
That was a little strange.
Sapphire never sent me a text unless she had some sort of agenda.
I looked back over our conversation and she
actually appeared to be in a pleasant mood.
Maybe
she is beginning to accept being friends with no benefits
.
My mind quickly drifted back to
Raven.
Good night,
Raven
… I’m glad you made it home
safely.

Raven
After getting my
blood drawn, I spent the rest of Saturday morning running errands and buying
some more new clothes.
The first
thing I did was go to Lord & Taylor to replace the black lace dress that
Gunner had cut to shreds the night before.
After that, I went to the ATM and deposited that huge paycheck into my
bank account.
I’m going to have to keep this deposit slip for my scrapbook
.
As lunchtime
approached, I began to worry about Amber.
She had called me every Saturday morning since our little adventure had
begun, so it struck me as odd that I hadn’t heard from her.
I tried to call her, but it went to
voicemail after a few rings.
Hopefully Blade didn’t hurt her.
He said they had a good talk afterward
and that she would be back.
After a few minutes of worrying, my phone buzzed.
It was a text from Amber.
Amber:
I’m meeting Blade for lunch.
Wanna
join us?
Me:
Where?
Amber:
Ziggy’s
Me:
Really?
I’ll stop by to say hi.
Blade must have
chosen
Ziggy’s
bar.
It was one of the local dive bars where
neither Amber nor I would even consider having lunch.
I’ll
have a bottled beer, but other than that, I’ve lost my appetite.
Two young guys were playing pool when I
walked in and several grumpy old men were sitting at the bar; the exact scene
that I had expected to find.
“Over here!” Amber
waved me over to a small table back in the corner.
“Couldn’t you guys
find a dingier place to eat?” I teased, shaking my head at the two of them.
“Best burger
basket around,” Blade countered.
Hmm, that could be.
I haven’t seen a red plastic basket like
that since I was a kid.
“So what’s going
on?”
I asked, curious as to why
they were together.
“Blade was just
telling me how much money you and Gunner are making with your little show,”
Amber replied, narrowing her eyes.
“You never mentioned that they were paying you to do it.”
“I paid for the
first two sessions and then Gunner talked me into signing a residual contract,”
I replied nonchalantly.
“And you assumed
that they wouldn’t be interested in me?” She retaliated.
“I didn’t want you
to feel bad if they didn’t offer you one.”
“Your only mistake
was starting out with Sapphire,” Blade interjected, recapturing Amber’s
attention.
“She never brings any
new girls onboard.
She’s scared of
being replaced by some newbie I guess.”
“I’m new to this,
too, honey,” I assured her.
“You still
should’ve mentioned it.
You know
how broke I am.”
“It’s not her
fault, Amber,” Blade snapped.
“She
obviously has no idea how popular your red hair and creamy white skin will be with
our members.”
“You’re right, I
had no idea,” I confessed.
“Drives me wild,
too,” he replied with a sinister look in his eyes.
“That’s awesome,
Amber!
I’m happy for you.”
“Well I haven’t
signed on yet.
We still need to set
some ground rules,” she replied, glaring at Blade.
“Hey, I was just
testing you,” he laughed, taking another bite of his burger.
“I used the safe
word last night,” Amber admitted sheepishly.
“Yeah, I
heard.
I was hoping to borrow some
clothes from you, but you were already gone.”
“Always carry a
spare set of clothes girls… that’s my little tip for the day.” Blade grinned.
“Yeah, that will
never happen again.
I actually got
pulled over by a cop on the way home.”
“No shit? And you
were wearing what?” Amber gasped.
“All I had on was
one of Gunner’s white long sleeved shirts.”
“Nice!” Blade
snorted.
“I’ll bet that was an
interesting stop.”
“I thought I was
totally screwed, but everything worked out in the end.”
Blade immediately
grabbed the back of his head and made an O with his mouth, thrusting his head
in a familiar up and down motion.
“No.
I didn’t have to blow him,” I
relented.
“Actually, he wants to
meet Sapphire.”
“So he’s a
fan?
Fuckin
’
pig!” Blade slapped his hand on the rickety, little table.
“Yeah, he’s
divorced and has had a pretty long dry spell,” I explained.
“Sapphire would
probably
fuckin
’ kill him.” Blade laughed.
“He better get his heart checked first,
especially if she finds out he’s a pig.”
“He told me not to
tell her,” I said, realizing I shouldn’t have mentioned it in front of Blade.
“Hey, his secret
is safe with me,” he hissed with an evil grin.
“You be nice,”
Amber scolded.
“Yeah, that’s
me.
Nice.” He rolled his eyes and
finished off his burger.
“You sign
this contract and I’ll show you just how nice I can be.”
“If you cane my
feet again, I’m going to kill you,” she glared at him, trying her best to look
intimidating.
“Get smart with me
little lady and I’ll cane the fuck out of you,” he retaliated, grabbing her by
the wrist.
“How much money
can I make?” She quickly changed the subject.
“Easily a hundred
grand or more for six shows.” He smirked and let go of her wrist.
“Why six shows?” I
asked, wondering why she would be doing fewer than me.
“I’m cutting off a
couple at each end,” Blade replied bluntly.
“She’s already done a few and the last
couple get way too kinky.” He rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“Too kinky for
you?” I gasped.
“Hey, I’m just not
into that group gangbang shit,” he scoffed.
“I don’t like sharing with Carter and
his buddies.”
“Excuse me.”
It took everything I had to keep from
throwing up on the spot.
A group gangbang with Carter
and his friends?
Seriously?
There is no fucking way I’m doing
anything with Carter.
I need some
air.
Gunner
I had just
finished with my first newbie of the day when I saw that Raven had
single-handedly blown up my phone.
After listening to the first of several voicemails, I knew my next task
was going to be damage control.
What the fuck Blade?
You stupid son of a bitch!
He’s been around long enough to know
he’s not supposed to talk about the upper levels, especially level ten.
Mother fucker
!
“A group
gangbang!” she yelled immediately upon answering my call.
“I told you that I wouldn’t have
anything to do with Carter!”
“Blade told you
that?”
“Yeah, he said he
doesn’t even do them!”
“Blade has an
aversion to doing group things for some reason.
But you have to realize that I have a
lot of control over those final scenes,” I tried to assure her.
“But if Renegade
is gone and Blade doesn’t do them, wouldn’t that leave Carter and his friends
like he said?” she asked in a desperate tone.
“We can discuss
all of this when the time comes.”
“Carter and his
buddies normally do it, don’t they?” she asked, struggling to maintain her
composure.
“Normally, but
I’ll talk to him about it.”
“That’s why he’s
insisting that I go through all ten levels… so he gets a chance to fuck me in
the end!” she practically screamed into the phone.
“Stop!
Just fucking
relax
!”
I shouted back.
“You are going to
have to trust me.
I will make sure
that Carter and his friends aren’t involved in the final scene.”
“You swear to
God?” she whimpered.
“Yes.
I will take care of it,” I reassured
her.
“Nothing is in stone.
Level ten can be whatever I want it to
be.”
“So, no gangbang?”
“If you are
violently opposed to it, we will have to go in a different direction,” I told
her.
“We will have to come up with
something that will keep the members happy, though.”
“Maybe you can
electrocute me by throwing a toaster in the bathtub or something,” she replied
furiously.
“That would be something
interesting for them to watch.”
“There’s an idea,
our members love to watch naked women twitch.” I chuckled.
“What have I
gotten myself into?” she asked, turning dead serious once again.
“Carter told me that the members would
break me.”
“He has no clue
how strong you are, and besides, the members love you.”
“They will get
bored with me and then we’ll have to do something insane in order to keep them
entertained.” Her voice quivered.
“We aren’t going
to let them get bored,” I told her sternly.
“This whole thing is about learning
discipline and tapping into your inner strength.”
“Yeah, well I’m
not feeling so strong anymore.”
“That’s because
you are focused on the wrong thing,” I said in an attempt to redirect her
thoughts.
“Instead of worrying
about levels nine and ten, you should be thinking about how much fun we are
going to have next Friday.”
“You’re
right.
I definitely feel better
when I think about being with you.”
“Then that’s what
you should be thinking about.
Now
relax and don’t worry about all of this other shit!”
Raven
I still felt sick to
my stomach after hanging up with Gunner.
Visions of Carter and other creepy old men kept flashing across my
mind.
As
excited
as I was to do level six with Gunner, I was equally appalled by the idea of
doing any sort of gangbang.
I will use my safe word and allow Carter to
reveal my identity before doing anything with him.
I contemplated the idea of that
worst-case scenario and tried to get comfortable with it.
My
mother would never let me live it down.
My mother-in-law would probably try to paint me as an unfit mother.
In the end, the only one I truly care
about is Hannah.
My stomach
continued to churn.
My phone rang,
interrupting my thoughts.
It was
Amber.
“Are you all
right?” she asked, with definite concern in her voice.
“I honestly thought
I was going to be sick,” I said, explaining my hasty exit. “You have no idea
how close I was to losing it.”
“The look on your
face was brutal.
You looked like
you had been punched in the stomach.”
“That’s exactly
what it felt like.”
I closed my
eyes and once again tried to shake off the feeling.
“In the end, it’s
your body.
You don’t have to do
anything that you don’t want to do,” she said, trying to comfort me.
“I know.
I was just thinking the same thing.
If he ends up exposing my identity, I’ll
just have to deal with the consequences.”
Another shiver went down my spine.
“Blade is back,
I’ve
gotta
run
hun
,” Amber whispered.
“I just wanted to make sure that you were okay.”
“Thanks and have
fun,” I replied, but she was already gone.
Why does she get to hang out with
Blade, but I can’t hang out with Gunner?
Maybe it’s because she hasn’t signed her contract yet.
Sitting back in my chair, I had the realization that it was two o’clock
on a Saturday afternoon, my best friend was occupied, and my little girl was at
her grandmother’s house.
If there is anything I can’t stand, it’s
being bored
.
It was time to do
something else that was completely outside of my comfort zone.
I called my mother to see if she wanted
to join me for dinner.
“That’s really
sweet of you, dear, but I’m meeting Tootsie for drinks at five and then we are
going dancing tonight.
Whatever possessed you to ask me to dinner?
Is everything okay?” she asked,
reverting to her usual demeanor.
“I just wanted to
talk with you about our relationship,” I confessed.
“Ever since Dad died, it doesn’t feel
like we have much of one.”
“Oh, honey.” She
laughed.
“Our relationship was
strained long before that, but I’ve come to terms with it.”
“I thought maybe we
could have a fresh start,” I suggested, feeling a bit vulnerable.
“Sure!” she
replied, which was followed by a long pause.
“Were you just diagnosed with cancer or
something?”
“No, I don’t have
cancer.
I guess I’m just feeling a
little lonely with Hannah gone.”
“Well, if you need
to talk, I’m always here for you, darling.”
“Thanks, mom, have
fun tonight.”
“Oh, I will. Toots
is always such a riot.” She laughed.
“You know, her son always asks about you.
I’m pretty sure he’s still single.”
“Oh, that’s
cool.
Does he still live in her
basement?”
“Now don’t get
snippy right away,” she scolded.
“Remember you were the one who was just talking about a fresh start.”
“I’m sorry, but
I’m not even looking for a relationship right now.”
“The clock is ticking,
so I just wanted to mention it.
Both you and Hannah could use a good man around the house,” she
continued.
“Okay, I’ll talk
to you later.”
I better hang up before this really goes south
.
I opened up the
patio door and wandered out onto the deck thinking a little fresh air would
help.
How did my life get so empty?
I thought about all of the friends that I had when I was in school and
how I used to wish I had more free time.
Now, all of this free time feels
more like a curse than a benefit.
Maybe I do need a good man around the house.
Gunner
seems to have a caring side, but the jury is still out as to whether or not he
is truly a good man.
I wouldn’t
mind having him here right now for a little afternoon fun, though.
The thought of a
nice nap was appealing, but between worrying about the future and thinking
about Gunner, falling asleep was impossible
.
I grabbed my laptop, with the intent
of going on the website to watch some examples of level eight, nine, and
ten.
Up to this point, I had taken
Gunner’s advice and stayed away, but the unknown was just killing me.
I’m
not going to watch any of our shows; I don’t even want to see what I look like
on camera.
Gunner
After doing sets with
the two new girls, my third set of the day was with a hot little
eighteen-year-old porn starlet who went by the name Victoria Love.
She was a little five foot nothing
spitfire, with long dark hair who couldn’t have weighed much more than a
hundred pounds.
Our first two
shoots had gone well and after the second set, she had pulled out all the
stops, flirting with Carter.
She
knew exactly how to play him.
After
seductively running her fingers through his scraggly gray hair, he had
personally offered her a residual contract.
“If you can make
it to level ten, I’ll make you our biggest star sweetheart,” he told her.
“Gunner here will take good care of
you.”
“I’ve already got
my hands full with Raven,” I had told him later that night in his office.
“Why don’t you give Blade a chance?”
“No way, this one
has too much potential.
I don’t
want Blade scaring her off,” he countered.
“Besides, she’s not a red head, so Blade will be indifferent.”
I knew the reason
that he didn’t want Blade to scare her off was because he intended to get
involved with her in the upper levels.
If I take her past level five,
though, Raven is bound to have an issue with it
, I thought to myself.
I sent Renegade a text, asking to come
back and help me out.
I included a
couple of hot pictures of her and told him that I needed his help getting her
to level ten.
Renegade:
I’ll think about it.
Me:
I’ll personally guarantee you $100k
Renegade:
I’ll let you know.
Me:
You owe me bud.
Renegade:
I know.
I had helped him
out of several similar situations when he and Sable were first getting
serious.
They had fallen into the
trap of thinking they could work exclusively with each other because a lot of
our members have interracial fetishes.
Unfortunately, Renegade isn’t very creative, so their popularity faded
within a matter of months.
It takes
a ton of imagination and creativity to make it as an exclusive couple in this
industry.
I’m sure he can use the money
, I
remember thinking at the time
.
