“You…you asked me.”
“Get out of my house!” Then she grabbed the knife and in a stabbing motion moved for me. I jumped up and grabbed my book bag and hat right before the blade entered my leg. She ran behind me as I rushed for the door but she didn’t catch me. She couldn’t catch me. I was gone and I was still alive.
I kept running until I entered the parking lot. I thought she would come behind me but she didn’t. When I was a few feet from her house I got mad. Why would she ask me to do that and then try to stab me? What would she tell Glitter? I knew after that she would flip the story around and I would never get her back now.
Going into the building over from Glitter’s I went into the basement and sat on top of a washing machine. Then I opened my book bag and pulled out my Henny.
Right before I did anything my phone rang. I took it out of my pocket and saw it was Jayden. For whatever reason I decided to answer.
“Hello.” She paused. “Madjesty?”
“What do you want? And how did you get my number?”
“You gave me your number remember? When I called you a few days back.” She paused. “You sounded drunk but you said I could call you. Mainly for emergencies you said.” Apparently that was my new shit, calling niggas when I was drunk.
“So what’s the emergency?”
“I miss you. Can we talk? Please?”
“No. You got your new family. Just be with him.”
“Madjesty, please.”
“I gotta go. Bye.”
I hung up on her, put the phone in my pocket and examined the bottle in my hand again. I wanted a drink now more than ever.
“I’m not going to do this.” I looked at the label and how cool it felt in my hand. “I’m stronger than this.” I looked at the bottle again. I love the way it was shaped. “Just a taste…I’ll do just a taste…”
I twisted the cap and poured it down my throat and replayed what just happened over and over again. I couldn’t believe what I’d just went through. I drank some more and before I knew it half of the bottle was gone. I felt warm all over. I felt good. I felt better.
So I went back to her building and knocked on her door. Glitter’s mom opened it and frowned.
“You must wanna die?” She was still holding the knife.
She was crazy but so was I. “Shut the fuck up, bitch.”
“What did you just say to me?”
“I said shut the fuck up.”
She didn’t look so bold anymore but she was still frowning. “What are you doing here? Huh?”
“Where your room at?”
She wasn’t frowning anymore. “Back there.” She pointed.
I walked in. She didn’t follow me at first. “You coming or what?”
Once I was in her room I saw a rolled up blunt on the table and lit it with a lighter next to it. She walked in behind me and closed the door.
“Sit down.” I said.
“What do you want?”
“Bitch, sit the fuck down!”
She did.
I revenge fucked this old bitch with all I had. I put everything in her pussy from the remote control on her nightstand to ballpoint pen. She was going crazy and couldn’t help but call my name.
“Fuck me, Mad! Fuck me.” She reminded me of my mother and I knew what she wanted.
I don’t know what came over me. I wasn’t even feeling this whore. I was just high off the Henny and mad at the world. When she came and fell asleep, I went through her purse and stole her money. Then I stole the weed.
Once I left, I took a bottle of spray paint out of my book bag and looked for her car in the parking lot. When I found it I sprayed the word dyke on the hood and the driver’s side door. In red. Stepping back I looked at my work and laughed. I guess it’s really gonna be over now. After Glitter sees this shit and finds out I fucked her mother she’ll have nothing to do with me. Maybe it was the liquor, but for now, for some reason, I just didn’t give a fuck.

HARMONY PHILLIPS
FORT WASHINGTON, MARYLAND

I sat in a metal gray chair for days, and I was tortured just like that bitch of a daughter of mines promised. To make shit worse, on a regular basis pain shot up from my ass and through my back in ways you couldn’t imagine. She really didn’t care about what she was doing to me. Even though I gave birth to her and carried her for nine months before Kali snatched her out of my womb, she still didn’t care about what she was doing to me! I couldn’t believe what she was putting me through just because she couldn’t have her way!

She didn’t know it, but I could hear her conversations upstairs and I was taking mental notes about everything they were saying. I knew names and that they all went to the same school. Daughter or not I had plans when I got out of here, if I got out of here, to prosecute this whore to the fullest extent of the law.
My
law.

I was just about to piss in the chair because they never let me go to the bathroom unless I had number two, when Madjesty came walking down the stairs talking on the phone. She had a silver mixing bowl in her free hand that was covered with a yellow towel and every time I saw her, I couldn’t get over how much she looked like a cute boy. In my mind she was a boy even though when I changed her diapers I saw the split tail running from the front to the back of her ass. I know if I had a boy, if I had the sons I always wanted, none of this shit would have ever happened to me.

“Wokie, bring me some smoke when you come?” She said trotting down the steps frowning on the phone.
When she finished her call she walked up to me with a sly smile on her face. Setting the bowl down she pulled up a chair so that she was directly across from me. I think she got off on what she was doing to me, in fact I’m sure of it.
“Hey, ma.” I couldn’t speak because my mouth was taped so she snatched the duct tape off my lips. “I said, hey, ma.”
My lips burned and I ran my tongue over them. “Baby, when are you going to let me go? This has gone on far too long. You know I love you, and you know I never meant to hurt you. Please, baby. Let me go and I promise I won’t say anything to anybody about this. You gotta trust me.”
“I’m going to let you go after I kill you.” She laughed. “Unless you want me to do it now.”
I put my head down, it was useless talking to her sometimes and I knew it. “I know you don’t mean to do this to me, honey. And it’s okay that you did what you did. But it’s not too late to make things…”
“I mean everything I’m doing to you, Harmony.” I could smell the alcohol on her breath. “So if you think I feel guilty ‘bout any of this shit, you betta think again.” She interrupted me.
“Was I that bad of a mother that you would…”
SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!
She hit me three times in the face, sat back in the chair and smiled. “I deserved that. I should never have…”
This time she hit me in my stomach so hard, I pissed in the chair. Urine ran down my legs and onto the floor.
“You wanna say something else?”
I shook my head no.
“I hate you. I hate you for what you did to me when I was a kid. And I hate you even more now. You don’t even feel sorry for the shit you did to me do you? You don’t even know what it was like bein’ fucked with at school everyday do you? You don’t know how it feels to be a girl when your mind tells you that you’re a boy.”
I was afraid to answer. Afraid that if I said the wrong thing, she’d hit me again. Sensing my fear she laughed hysterically and in that moment, she reminded me of her father, Kali. Suddenly I could see the family resemblance because it was obvious that they both were crazy.
After I learned that I gave birth to twins, by two different men at the same time, my mind was wrecked. I mean, how was that even possible? Truthfully I don’t believe shit Jace says until I read the results myself.
“You hear me talking to you, bitch?” Mad said looking for a reason to hurt me again. “You not gonna answer me?”
In a low whisper I said, “Can I answer?”
“Yeah.”
“I
am
sorry for what I did to you. But I was young, Madjesty.”
“I go by Mad and I know I told you before to call me that. Call me anything different again and I’ma make the rest of these days worse than I already plan to.”
I swallowed hard. This bitch was really taking advantage of the predicament she placed me in and as of now, there was nothing else I could do but submit.
“Okay…I’m sorry, Mad.” I looked at the floor and then back at her. “But I was young. And I didn’t know what I was doing. Nobody every told me how to raise no kids. I was doing the best I could.”
“The best you could? By starving us? By burning us with irons?” Each pause she made, each sentence she formed I could see caused her to grow angrier. And then it dawned on me, there was nothing I could say or do to change things. She only used my responses as a means to hurt me even more. I was putting the ammunition in the gun she held to my head with every answer I gave. “Just cause you young don’t mean you can treat kids like shit!”
“You’re right, Mad.”
“And Mr. Nice Guy…he was so good to us, and you couldn’t even let us have him could you? You couldn’t even do that!”
“Mr. Nice Guy?”
“Wagner!” She screamed at me with narrowing eyes.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you called him that.”
“He was the best thing that happened to us, and you had to be the whore you was instead of giving him a chance. And then you blame his death on me!”
“Mad, please, I’m sorry. I didn’t…”
“Do you remember that shit? HUH?!!!”
“Yes. But had you not said his name, he would have never gotten killed.”
Suddenly she stood up, turned the camera on and sat back in the seat. Then she smirked and removed the cover off of the silver bowl. Inside was a corndog soaked in honey. My stomach grumbled thinking she’d give me some real food, instead of saltine crackers soaked in warm water I normally ate. But when she moved the corn dog closer, I could see it was swarming with ants and dirt.
“What are you about to do with that?” I asked with wide eyes. “Madjesty what are you about to do?” I tried to back up in the chair and it moved a few inches but she was right over top of me.
“I sat this outside all night. In an ant pile outside of the house.” She laughed. “And since you like shit stuck inside of you, how about you take this.”
“Please don’t!”
She didn’t listen. Over and over she jammed the corn dog stuck with ants inside of me. I could feel them running down my legs and biting at my skin.
“Madjesty, please stop! I sobbed. “Please, these ants are killing me!”
“Consider this payback for all of the roach bites that covered my skin when I was a kid.” With that she dropped it at my feet and every second I could feel the biting ants nicking at my inner thighs, feet and ankles.
Looking at me squirming around in discomfort she laughed. I needed to get out of here and I needed to get out of here now. I couldn’t imagine waiting out the completion of thirty days for my death, and I certainly couldn’t imagine any more torture.
When her phone rang, taking her attention off of me for a moment, I was grateful. When I glanced at the screen on her cell I saw it said, ‘Jayden’. This was my out. This was the break I needed to be saved. So the moment she hit the button to accept the call I yelled, “JAYDEN, HELP ME! SHE’S GOING TO KILL ME!”
Enraged, Mad ran up to me and kicked me in the chest with her Nike boot, forcing me violently backwards. The chair toppled over and my head banged against the concrete floor.
Now she was really angry.

MADJESTY
DROP KICK

After chest kicking that bitch, I ran upstairs hoping Jayden didn’t hear her. I didn’t even say hello again until I made it to the foyer area in our house.

“Mad,” Jayden said. “Is everything okay? Was that mama? It sounded like mama!”
I was circling the middle of the floor like a shark. “Huh?”
“I said is everything okay?”
“Yeah, but what you want? I’m busy right now.”
“Was that ma I heard in the background?” She paused. “Mad…you not doing nothing to ma are you?”
“Look…what the fuck you want? I ain’t give you my number to be questioning me and shit. I gave it to you because you said you wanted it in case of an emergency. So is this an emergency or what?”
I paced the floor looking down at the tiles until I saw Mad Max come into the house. Over the days I held Harmony hostage, they slowly but surely started moving in. With them every night was a party. We went to sleep when we wanted, did what we wanted and there was nobody to stop us. The dude Kali stayed up in the room and only came down when he wanted something to eat. He was acting weird.
“Nigga, we got some smoke that’s gonna knock your ass on your back!” Kid Lightning, yelled coming into the house.
Covering the phone I said, “Go downstairs and check on that bitch. My sister on the phone.”
“My bad,” he whispered as Wokie, Sugar and Krazy K followed him.
I was just about to close and lock the door when Glitter came in with her overnight bag. I could feel my stomach fluttering and I knew I was wide open. She was playing on her phone and was going to walk past me as if she didn’t see me until I stopped her.
“You still mad at me?” I asked.
“Naw…but we still not together no more.”
I wondered did she know that when I was drunk, I fucked her mother.
“Yeah, whatever.” “I’m serious, Mad. Until you can start treating me right and not embarrassing me out in public, I’m not fucking with you no more.”
“Did your mother tell you anything?”
“Anything like what?”
Maybe she didn’t say anything. “Nothing…you fucking some nigga?” I asked remembering the dude who left her house.
“I can talk to whoever I want remember? I’m not your girl no more.”
“So what the fuck you doing in my house then?”
“You want me to leave?” She moved for the door.
Grabbing her by the throat I said, “Bitch, stop fucking with me.”
She smiled, wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed me. “I love it when you get jealous.”
“No you don’t. That’s why you stay fucked up with me all the time remember?”
She smiled and said, “I miss you, a lot.” Then she pulled a bottle of Henny and a blunt out of the bag she was holding. “When you’re ready. We’ll be waiting.”
I smacked her on the ass. “Go downstairs. I’m coming.”
She switched down the steps and I couldn’t wait to eat that pussy. Directing my attention back to the phone I said, “What were you saying?”
“Mad, I’m glad you got friends and stuff. But I really miss you. I mean, how much longer you gonna ignore me? We still sisters ain’t we?”
“I ain’t no female. I’m your brother and you my sister.” I corrected her. “Anyway, I figured since you got your new pops you wouldn’t be checking for me no more.”
“I’m gonna always check for you, Mad. I love you.”
When my sister said she loved me, I felt some kind of way. I can’t explain the feeling. Its like, she was the only one on earth that could make me feel like nothing else mattered. Not even my girl could do that for me, and I loved that bitch to death.
“Okay, I ain’t beefing with you no more.”
“For real?”
“Yeah…but you gotta stop keeping secrets from me. It made me mad when you came in my room and took the hair out of my brush. I mean, why didn’t you think you could tell me that?”
“Because we weren’t talking.” She paused. “Let’s just start all over. Maybe I can take you out.”
“What? You big money now?”
“I got a little something-something.” She joked. “Now are you gonna let me take you out or what?”
“I don’t know.” I said feeling bad I couldn’t do anything for her. Next to not being loved being broke was the worst thing in the world. I already spent the money I ganked from Glitter’s mom and ain’t have shit to show for it, but I had plans to come up soon.
“Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase!”
“Aight…” I laughed. “Stop whining. Where we going?”
She got all excited and said, “Wherever you want to! But I was thinking we could grab something to eat. Maybe Red Lobsters or something.” We could never afford to eat there so shit must’ve been looking good for her.
“Aight, when?”
“I’ma hit you.”
“Okay. That’ll work.”
“Alright, Mad.” She said softly. “I love you.”
“I love you back.”
When I got off the phone with her I had a smile on my face. I ain’t gonna lie, with her in my life again things were starting to look up. Although I did have to admit, Jayden had a split personality. One minute shit would be cool with her and the next she would be different. Everybody always thought I was the crazy one but if you kept a long eye on Jayden you’d find out she wasn’t too far behind me.
When I got downstairs, the music was loud and Wokie had raised the chair Harmony was in and had his dick in her mouth. The rest of the crew was sitting at the table smoking weed and drinking Hennessey like nothing was going on. I guess they saw it so much lately that in their minds it was normal.
Tapping Glitter on the back, she jumped up out the chair so that I could sit down. She sat in my lap. Without saying anything to me, she wrapped her arms around my neck and threw her tongue in my mouth and I ran my hands over her perky breasts. Damn this bitch was bad. To be honest, there wasn’t another bitch that could fuck with her besides my sister.
When the kiss went on longer I couldn’t help but think about her mother. I fucked that old bitch and I hoped it wouldn’t come back to haunt me later.
“So where ya’ll niggas been?” I asked looking at them as we periodically looked at the blowjob Wokie was getting.
“We stole some more shit out Game Stop so we can sell some games, but they putting the press on security now, Mad. We gonna have to find another way to make some cash.” Kid Lightning said.
“I
been
telling ya’ll that. It’s just a matter of what we gonna do.” I said.
“We gotta do something because these niggas stay eating all the food and shit in this house.” Sugar said. “I mean which one of you niggas ate my last donut?”
“Sugar, stop playing, bitch!” Glitter said giving me a lap dance as the music boomed from the radio. “Everybody in this mothafucka know when you get high you eat like shit. So don’t even try it.”
I thought about Kali, who stayed upstairs for days never coming out. Maybe he was the culprit but I never told them. The house was so big we rarely saw each other.
“Fuck you!” Sugar said.
“So what’s up, ya’ll back together now or what?” Krazy said, looking at Wokie but talking to us.
“I don’t know. Mad gotta stop tripping.” Glitter said.
“Stop fucking around, Glitter. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t want me.” I took the Henny out of her hand and downed it.
“You acting different.” She said. “More confident. Why?”
“Cuz I speak the truth.”
When Wokie was done busting his nut, he buckled his pants and joined us at the table. Out of everyone in the crew, he was the only one who took full advantage of fucking Harmony. The other niggas would ask me if it was okay to go on in, but him, he just didn’t give a fuck. The real messed up part about it was, I didn’t feel anything about it either which way. My emotions when it came to her were dead! The worst she felt the better I felt and that was the bottom line.
“So what we gonna do tonight?” Wokie asked taking the blunt from Kid. “I’m tired of staying in the house.”
“Nigga, we live in a mansion. For real we ain’t got to go nowhere but here.” Krazy said.
“We gotta be careful with staying out all night.” I told them. “What if this bitch would’ve gotten out?”
They all looked at Harmony and than at me. Kid looked high when he asked, “You never told us what she did to you. You never told us shit about her.”
“And I never will.” I said looking at Harmony, who had sperm running down the side of her mouth. “Just know that I wouldn’t be doing any of this shit if she didn’t deserve every last bit of it.”
When I looked away for a minute, and looked back at Harmony, I caught an evil look on her face. She tried to wipe the smirk away when we made eye contact, but it wasn’t quick enough. I smiled, knowing that there wasn’t shit she could do to hurt me anymore. And there wasn’t shit she could say to me either. I ran shit now, and would continue to run shit until I decided I ain’t want to no more. I was just about to get up and dance with Glitter when I heard a knock at the basement door upstairs.
“Who the fuck is that?” Glitter asked jumping up.
“Damn, I forgot his ass was here.” I said. “Look, let me go wrap to this nigga right quick.” When I stood up I said, “Glitter, give me your cell phone.”
“Huh? Why?” She said frowning.
I was going to start handling her differently. When you’re nice people don’t respect you so I needed to change shit up.
“Bitch, don’t make me ask you again. Give me your fucking phone.” She dug in her purse and handed it over. “Next time I tell you to do something fast, do it quicker.”
With that I ran upstairs.
