CHAPTER TEN

Rain, wet leaves and the dark never mixed,
especially when driving. He didn’t let it stop him from getting to
the one place he couldn’t wait to get back to. Noelle’s place. Ever
since her birthday when he told her that he loved her, and they
made love, they haven’t been able to get enough of each other.
Jackson also didn’t let it get to him that he poured his heart out
to Noelle by telling her that he loved her, but that she hasn’t
said anything back yet. He knew that she had feelings for him. If
he was a betting guy, he’d bet that she loved him too, but he
didn’t want to leap that far yet. She had to be ready to admit it
to herself first before she could say it to him. He was fine with
things as they were now. He spent every moment that he could with
her, and was loving it.

He was almost at Noelle’s and even though the
rain was steady, it wasn’t so bad that he couldn’t drive in it. He
found himself thinking of her every moment. He smiled as he got off
of Route 22 to head onto the back road to her townhouse. Before he
left for a week long promo tour, Noelle cooked him dinner. She made
his favorite, tacos. It was the little things like that that really
got to him. She remembered tacos being his favorite meal from when
they were thirteen. They were only hanging out for the one week and
he complained the whole time that he wanted tacos. Noelle
remembered and she made it for him before he left. He had to leave
early the next morning, but he planned on spending the night with
her at her townhouse. She just sat down on the sofa after cleaning
up the kitchen, and he sat down right after her. He just got
changed. He reached for her and kissed her. She wrapped her arms
around him and she lay on her back and he gently lay on top of her.
“Noelle,” he whispered, “I have to tell you something.”

“You can tell me anything.”

“That last week we spent together as kids,
you know the one where you screamed that you hated me.”

“Yeah, I remember the one.”

“Well, did you know that I wanted to kiss
you?”

“No you didn’t.”

“I did, but it was because I never kissed a
girl, and you were so cute and I could easily talk you into
anything,” he teased her.

“Jackson, everything you did when you were
thirteen was awful.” She playfully hit him. He leaned in and kissed
her again. They laid there kissing for what seemed like forever.
Noelle broke the kiss first and started kissing his neck.

“Mmm,” he murmured, “I’m sorry I wasn’t your
first kiss.”

She stopped kissing him at that point and
said so quietly he almost couldn’t hear her. “You are so amazing. I
cannot even believe that you are real. No man has ever made me feel
like this.”

“Then they were asses. In a way, that was
good for me because you’re mine now.”

She answered by leaving him small kisses all
around his mouth, tickling him with her lips. “What was your first
kiss like anyway?”

“I was fifteen and his name was Scott. It was
at the park on the way home from school and he just blindsided me
with it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it all weekend, even though
we didn’t know what we were doing. I’d say it was a pretty damn
good kiss.”

“I’ll show you a damn good kiss,” he murmured
and started nuzzling her neck. When she seemed to let her thoughts
drift he stopped. They made love that night forever. He thought of
nothing else but her the whole time he was gone. He pulled into the
driveway and dodged the rain. Knowing she was right inside made his
heart race just a bit.

She greeted him at the door and the first
thing he noticed was she was wearing a pair of his dark blue boxers
and the Bullet t-shirt that he gave her. She looked so damn hot,
that he almost lost control of himself. He swooped her up in a bear
hug. “I’ve missed you.” He set her down gently. He had never felt
so alive in his life since he had been with her, not even when he
was in the wrestling ring. It felt so good. His life felt like it
had a purpose. He felt lonely for so much of his life, with
relationships. Noelle took away the loneliness he felt. He knew
with more certainty every day that this was the woman for him
without a doubt. Jackson kissed her lightly on the lips, and
brushed a strand of hair from her eyes. “How was your week?”

“Busy and boring,” she answered. She took his
hand and led the way into the living room where they cuddled up on
the couch. He recognized instantly how she fit nicely in the nook
of his arm.

He kissed her again and squeezed her. “So
tell me about your busy and boring week.”

“Well, it was busy because of work, and that
is good. It was boring because you were on the road. That kind of
sucked,” she said sincerely.

Jackson knew how she felt. Being apart from
Noelle was proving to be more difficult than he thought. With a
wicked smile, Jackson picked her up off the couch and set her down,
straddling his lap as he stroked her back with gentle caresses from
his hands. His heart was racing and the overwhelming urge to be
close and stay close to Noelle was overpowering any thought in his
head. He just needed to be with her. “You know what? My week was
pretty boring as well. But…” he said raising an eyebrow, “I think I
can arrange for some excitement.” He started a slow path of kisses
on her neck. Touching her skin softly and felt her shiver with the
heat from his warm breath. Noelle closed her eyes and let out a
soft moan as she became completely entranced. She placed her hands
on his shoulders, holding on for dear life while accepting his lips
and desire was promising. Her gentle brush of her fingers prickled
his tingling skin.

It didn’t take long for other parts of him to
wake up either as Jackson could feel his pants getting too tight,
which is something they did quite often with Noelle being so close.
He reached around for the small of her back and gently started
massaging. He was leaving a trail of tender kisses from her neck to
her petal soft lips. The kiss was sweet and slow, barely touching
as their lips and tongues intertwined with one another. Noelle’s
eagerness for more caught her nibbling on his bottom lip as she
hardened the kiss into something more passionate. Now it was his
turn to let out a satisfied moan as he moved his hands to caress
her behind and pressed her against him so she could feel just how
much he wanted to be with her. “Can you feel the excitement?” he
breathed into her ear.

“Mmm…” she murmured. “Before this gets too
exciting, I have something I need to talk to you about.”

That worried him a bit, until he saw the way
she was looking at him, but he still had to ask it. “Is everything
okay?” His voice was a bit horse not particularly happy that she
chose that moment to talk.

“Yes,” Noelle said confidently, “Everything
is fine. I need to talk to you about something important.” She
kissed his lips gently. “We both know the biggest thing my dad has
ever preached to us growing up. Right now that is probably not what
you want to think about.”

“I can honestly say that it’s pretty low on
my list of exciting topics.”

She smiled sweetly at him. “Jackson, there is
something else he preached to us a lot. He always told us to follow
our hearts. No matter what the obstacles. If we wanted something,
don’t ever let anything stop us from getting it.” Noelle paused a
moment and brought his hand to her lips and kissed it. She smiled
and looked at him directly in the eye. “Little did Pop know that he
was going to be an obstacle that I have to fight. Jackson, I love
you. It’s time I admit it to myself and to you about how much I
love you. It’s not going to be an easy fight, but you are so worth
it to me. I trust you and I love you.” Noelle spoke those words
again as a reassurance to herself and to him that this feeling
between them was real.

He didn’t realize how those words were
actually going to affect him. He had waited so long for her to say
this to him, and he was for once in his life speechless. She had
his heart and there was no going back, especially now that he knew
she loved him too. He swallowed the lump that was forming in his
throat and said, “Noelle, I don’t even know if you realize how much
I love you.”

“I think I know,” she said playfully.

“I love you, Scout, and I’m afraid you are
stuck with me for life, with or without Larry’s blessing.”

“Promise? I’m risking everything for
you.”

“No,” Jackson whispered under his breath,
“actually I’m risking everything for you.” He eagerly wrapped her
legs around his waist and stood up. She was weightless in his
strong arms. She started kissing his neck and jaw-line as he walked
them into her bedroom. Kicking the door open and closing it with
his foot, her returned her kiss as he whispered in her ear, “I
promise.”

He laid her gently on her bed, as he
positioned himself perfectly between her legs. Feeling content,
like this was where he belonged, wrapped up in her arms. He looked
at her to see the same passion in her eyes that he was feeling at
the moment. She smiled at him and he continued kissing her warm
lips as she tugged at his shirt and pulled the cotton up over his
head. “Come on now,” she said playfully with a wide grin, “I’m
ready to see that gorgeous body.”

He smiled at her and stood up briefly to
quickly remove his sweats and boxers. With effortless speed, he was
back lying beside her in seconds. She giggled and said, “Is

that why they call you Bullet.”

He grinned in amusement and looked at her in
the eye, “This is the only side of me that is not ever quick.”
Assuming the same position they enjoyed on the couch, he slowly
laid flat on his back and had her straddling his hips once again.
“Your turn.” He demanded as he slowly started to remove her shirt,
grasping it from the hem letting his hands trail a hot path on her
skin. Her skin was soft next to his rough hands and he couldn’t
resist rubbing her slowly before he lifted up her t-shirt. It was
enough for Noelle to get goose bumps and shiver with delight.
Jackson has seen his share of surgically enhanced breasts on women
every day in his line of work. They were oversized, overdone and
overrated in his opinion. It couldn’t and will never compare to the
real thing. Smiling up at her, he started to pull down the boxers
she was wearing and move his hands over her smooth backside.
Jackson could barely control himself as he admitted, “You are so
sexy, Noelle. You are driving me insane.”

“Well, what are you going to do about it?”
Those words told him what he needed to know. She was ready, and
damn it, so was he.

With one swift movement, he had her on her
back and he was on top of her as Noelle yelped in surprise. He
kissed her with all the passion he was feeling, not wanting to hold
back, but wanting to make it special for her. Her hands were
stroking his muscled back from shoulder blade to butt and circling
back up. She wanted to touch him everywhere and get closer if that
was possible. All emotions were being fueled by their combined
passions and love for each other. Each kiss was only bringing them
closer. Breaking away from the kiss, Jackson looked down into her
green eyes as he entered her warm body. They were a perfect fit. He
felt her tighten against him and he let out a growl. He kissed her
passionately as he pushed deeper and as Noelle moaned a bit louder
he couldn‘t help but to move a bit faster. He looked directly into
her eyes. “Look right at me, Sweetheart. Right here.” He saw in her
eyes that she was fine. They were a perfect fit. It was his turn to
moan. Not only having their bodies connected but not taking their
eyes off of each other took this to a whole new level for him.
Nothing compared to this feeling for him, having her sex grasping
him like a warm glove as he was able to see her love for him in her
eyes. It was all he could do not to let go right there. She let out
another moan of satisfaction, not controlling her own lips when
every nerve was working overtime! That was it for him. His hips
started to move gently and with each beautiful sound that escaped
her parted lips, it drove him more insane. It wasn’t wild and crazy
sex he was after, like most men wanted. That never did a thing for
him. It was this something more. He wanted this, making love with
her. Sharing what most people would never experience in their
lifetime. He had it all and he made sure that she got the most out
of the experience before he came. When he did, he collapsed on her
and shocked himself as tears of joy came from his eyes. “You okay?
“ Noelle asked when she noticed the tears.

He was breathless and said, “I’m supposed to
ask you that. “

“I’ve never been better. I love you Jackson
Smith.”

He couldn’t help it; he started to laugh and
said, “That sounds way better to me than when you told me that you
hated me.”

Jackson lovingly wrapped his arms around
Noelle while she slept so peacefully beside him. He looked down at
her satiny smooth skin and the way her eyelashes gently kissed the
tops of her cheeks. She lay with her head gently resting on his
chest. She was so amazingly beautiful to him. She was a natural
beauty. She looked delicate and angelic as her long light brown
hair framed her face. She told him that she loved him and at that
moment, Jackson realized he was the luckiest man in the world. It
felt good to know that there was no doubt about how she felt about
him. He sighed and kissed her forehead. They had made love for
hours last night, and he should be exhausted. He couldn’t sleep. He
was so happy that he couldn’t believe that this was real. His kiss
woke Noelle and she turned in his arms and was facing him. “Hey,”
she said sweetly.

“Hey yourself.”

“Have you been up long?”

“Not really. I didn’t mean to wake you.”
