So that’s the gist of it, friends. There’s probably much more I could say, but I’ve rattled on enough for now. It’s been an astonishing two years on the Internet for me, and I’m still just taking it all in.

Who knew that the World Wide Web would be ready to welcome me so warmly? Anyone who says that the Golden Years are anything less than that should give me a call. Or better yet, drop me a note on my Facebook Wall. I’m more likely to respond there.

While these two years have flown by, I have no doubt that the coming years will be just as eye-popping, challenging and rewarding for this former helmsman of the
Enterprise
.

I’ve got big plans to bring my community of fans even closer together, and to dig a bit deeper on the pressing questions of the day, even as we remember to keep things lighthearted so as not to take ourselves too seriously. I’m calling it Takei 3.0.

So stay tuned, friends, and stay engaged. As this world grows ever more connected, as our media grows ever more social, I’ll be there, laughing alongside you as the naughty gay Asian uncle you wish you had.

With that, I’m going to leave you with one last cat meme, below. The cat somehow reminds me of my husband.

Hope you don’t mind me being catty, Brad. Love you.

-- George
