Finally

True to Lukas’ word, the man took great pains to win me back. He knew he had me back the moment he laid eyes on me, well that’s what he said. As for the girl that I saw with him, she was his new assistant. Let me tell you, she wasn’t too happy to see me. But I was much happier to see his new assistant Mark.

“I thought we said we wouldn’t interfere in each other’s business lives?” Lukas laughed. “Ok let me put it this way. Let’s say one of my bartenders’ starts to get interested in me…”

He growled and cut me off “You fire the fucker.”

I smiled. “Hence, no female assistants.”

Lukas play fought with me and once he had me pinned down, he pulled up my shirt and looked down at my tat and smiled. “Property of Lukas.” He grinned, as he lowered his head and kissed it.

“That’s not why I got it.” I peered up at him. “Either way, that’s what it means now.” I rolled my eyes at him and he shrugged.

I held him close as we watched another of his stupid movies. I laughed to myself at everything that had happened between us for us to get to this point.

Lukas and I finally grew in our relationship, mutual love and admiration was enough for both of us. He learnt to let me deal with my downfalls without having to fix everything. I didn’t want him to be my saviour, but rather I wanted him to be strong for me when I needed him. Lukas took on the position gladly.

He was lost in his world watching his movie. I looked at him in my arms. A slow grin began to spread on my face as I saw my wedding ring. Lukas and I had gotten married on our own, without anyone around. It was just him and me. A simple wedding, the one we wanted in Greece. It was perfect. We had finally found our way to each other. I was finally home.

This story wrote itself. One day I sat in front of the computer and within a few weeks it was all said and done. I liked writing about Lexi, she was a strong character. She knew what she wanted and never bothered to look back. It was hard letting go of these two. I wanted to write more about them, but felt like I would somehow ruin the flow of their relationship. So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed their story as much as I did writing it.

I know that I make mistakes, it’s a given. Writing over one hundred thousand words and not making one would be an impossible feat. I welcome the criticism and thank you for your support. I promise I’ll do better next book, The Guardian Angel.

Without the help of my super beta reader, Maria, I would have given up on these two a long time ago. I can’t say thank you enough for all that you’ve done for me. You helped me when I thought I couldn’t deal with it anymore.

Lily, you are quite possible the best proof reader ever. Thanks for everything you’ve done.

And to my husband, the poor man has to live with my craziness.

To all my family and friends who continuously support me.

And to all my fans and bloggers who are helping me, thank you for all your support because without you I honestly wouldn’t be here.
