Lena blinked in surprise. "You are serious? They can come here?"

"Of course. She may be asked for genetic samples, but I am sure that they would be non-invasive."

She looked over his shoulder at the huge city gleaming in the bright light of day. It was full of technology that none of her fellow mechanics had ever seen and she was being offered a place in that strange and fascinating place. "Will you stay with me, or find another woman when the researchers flock here?"

He looked down at her soberly. "I want you, and only you. You are a unique woman and I am lucky to have been chosen by you. Wherever you go, I will be there."

She smiled and hugged him close, her mind whirling with images of her future, of her mother, and of a love that might last to another generation. If she could love her children as much as she had been loved, it would be a wonderful future indeed.

Balfor was as good as his word and they travelled to twelve worlds, spreading the Nyvil throughout galaxies. Each city was surprised by her, but only a few were in the dire straits of Cina.

Lena brought them all back to normal size with a light and well-loved heart, returning to Balfor's arms each and every time. It was her favourite place to be.

About the Author

Viola Grace was born in Manitoba, Canada where she still resides today. She really likes it there. She has no pets and can barely keep sea monkeys alive for a reasonable amount of time. Her line of day job tends to be analytical which leaves her mind hopping to weave stories. No co-worker is safe from her character analysis. In keeping with busy hands are happy hands, her hobbies have included cross-stitch, needlepoint, quilting, costuming, cake decorating, baking, cooking, metal work, beading, sculpting, painting, doll making, henna tattoos, chain mail, and a few others that have been forgotten. It is quite often that these hobbies make their way into her tales.

Viola's fetishes include boots and corsetry, and her greatest weakness is her uncontrollable blush. Her writing actively pursues the Happily Ever After that so rarely occurs in nature. It is an admirable thing and something that we should all strive for. To find one that we truly like, as well as love.
