Label each bag:

Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the shortening, cookie mix, and 1/4 cup of water until a stiff dough forms. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Makes about 4 dozen

Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Cookies

Makes 6 batches (about 6 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

4-1/2 cups granulated sugar

4-1/2 cups brown sugar, packed

3/4 cup powdered eggs

6 cups flour

2 tablespoons powdered vanilla

2 tablespoons baking soda

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/2 tablespoon salt

16-1/2 cups rolled oats

6 cups dried cranberries

6 cups chopped walnuts

4-1/2 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

Instructions

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 tablespoons powdered eggs
• 1 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon powdered vanilla
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

For oats, nuts, and dried cranberries: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 2-3/4 cups rolled oats
• 1 cup dried cranberries
• 1 cup chopped walnuts

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 3/4 cup butter-flavored shortening

Ready-Made Meal Assembly

In a Mylar bag, tote bag, or vacuum bag, store:

• 1 jar or pouch cookie mix
• 1 packet oats, nuts, and dried cranberries
• 1 packet shortening

Label each bag:

Ingredients

7-1/2 cups powdered sugar, divided

12 cups flour

2 tablespoons powdered vanilla

6 cups chopped walnuts or pecans

6 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

Instructions

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon powdered vanilla
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

For extra sugar for rolling cookies: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup powdered sugar

For nuts: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup shortening

Ready-Made Meal Assembly

In a Mylar bag, tote bag, or vacuum bag, store:

• 1 jar or pouch cookie mix
• 1 packet nuts
• 1 packet extra sugar
• 1 packet shortening

Label each bag:

Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the shortening, cookie mix, and 1 tablespoon of water until a stiff dough forms. Stir in the nuts. Roll the dough into small balls about the size of walnuts and place onto a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Roll in extra powdered sugar to coat while still hot. Makes about 3 dozen

Cowboy Cookies (Oatmeal Chocolate Chip)

Makes 6 batches (about 4 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

6 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

6 cups granulated sugar

6 cups brown sugar, packed

3/4 cup powdered eggs

2 tablespoons powdered vanilla

12 cups flour

3 tablespoons baking powder

3 teaspoons salt

12 cups chocolate chips

12 cups rolled oats

Instructions

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup shortening

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 tablespoons powdered eggs
• 1 teaspoon powdered vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

For chocolate chips and oats: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 2 cups chocolate chips
• 2 cups rolled oats

Makes 6 batches (about 3 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

3 cups granulated sugar

3 cups brown sugar

6 tablespoons powdered eggs

7-1/2 cups flour

4-1/2 teaspoons baking soda

3 teaspoons baking powder

1-1/2 teaspoons salt

3 cups peanut butter, chunky or creamy

3 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

Instructions

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon powdered eggs
• 1-1/4 cups flour
• 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

For peanut butter: In each of 6 vacuum bags or disposable 4-ounce containers, add and then seal:

• 1/2 cup (4 ounces) peanut butter

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1/2 cup shortening
