Ingredients

3 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening or ghee in 1/2-cup packages

12 cups sugar

1-1/2 cups dry milk

1-1/2 teaspoons powdered vanilla

2 cups cocoa powder

18 cups instant oats

3 cups dry roasted peanuts (optional)

3 cups peanut butter, creamy or chunky

Instructions

For shortening or ghee: In each of 6 vacuum bags or jars, seal:

• 1/2 cup of ghee or shortening

For sugar and milk: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 3 cups sugar
• 1/4 cup dry milk
• 1/4 teaspoon powdered vanilla

For oats and cocoa: In each of 6 vacuum bags or zip-top bags, add and then seal:

• 1/3 cup cocoa powder
• 3 cups instant oats
• 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts

For peanut butter: In each of 6 vacuum bags or disposable 4-ounce containers, add and then seal:

• 1/2 cup (4 ounces) peanut butter, creamy or chunky

Ready-Made Meal Assembly

In each of 6 Mylar bags, tote bags, or vacuum bags, store:

• 1 bag or jar shortening or ghee
• 1 bag sugar and milk
• 1 bag oats and cocoa
• 1 bag or container peanut butter

Label each bag:

In a large saucepan, heat the shortening or ghee until melted. Add the sugar and milk packet and 1/2 cup of water and stir to combine. Heat until boiling and boil for 1 minute, timing it carefully. Add the peanut butter and stir to melt. Add the oats, cocoa, and peanut packet and stir to combine. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Cool and serve. Makes about 3 dozen

Oatmeal Cookies with M&Ms

Makes 6 batches (4 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

16-1/2 cups rolled oats

4-1/2 cups sugar

4-1/2 cups flour

4-1/2 cups M&Ms

4-1/2 teaspoons salt

4 teaspoons baking soda

6 tablespoons dry milk

6 tablespoons powdered eggs

1 tablespoon powdered vanilla

4-1/2 cups of butter-flavored vegetable shortening, cubed

Instructions

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 2-1/4 cups rolled oats
• 3/4 cups sugar
• 3/4 cups flour
• 3/4 cups M&Ms
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 tablespoon dry milk
• 1 tablespoon powdered eggs
• 1/4 teaspoon powdered vanilla

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 3/4 cup butter-flavored shortening, cubed

Ready-Made Meal Assembly

In a Mylar bag, tote bag, or vacuum bag, store:

• 1 jar or pouch cookie mix
• 1 packet shortening

Label each bag:

To prepare, preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the shortening, cookie mix, and 1/4 cup of water and stir until a stiff dough forms. Drop rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Makes 4 dozen

Sugar Cookies

Makes 6 batches (about 6 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

3 cups powdered sugar

9 cups granulated sugar, divided

6 tablespoons powdered eggs

15 cups flour

3 teaspoons powdered vanilla

3 teaspoons baking soda

3 teaspoons cream of tartar

6 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

Instructions

For cookie mix, in each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 tablespoon powdered eggs
• 2-1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon powdered vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

For shortening: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup butter-flavored shortening

For extra sugar (for tops of cookies): In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1 cup sugar

Ready-Made Meal Assembly
• 1 jar or pouch cookie mix
• 1 packet extra sugar
• 1 packet shortening

Label each bag:

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, combine the shortening, cookie mix, and 2 tablespoons of water until a stiff dough forms. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar from the extra sugar packet. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Makes about 6 dozen

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes 6 batches (about 4 dozen cookies each)

Ingredients

9 cups butter-flavored vegetable shortening

15 cups all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons baking soda

3 tablespoons salt

18 cups chocolate chips

9 cups brown sugar, packed

6 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup powdered eggs

1 tablespoon powdered vanilla

Instructions

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, add and then seal:

• 1-1/2 cups shortening

For cookie mix: In each of 6 vacuum bags, Mylar bags, or jars, add and then seal:

• 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
• 3 cups chocolate chips
• 1-1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons powdered eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon powdered vanilla

Ready-Made Meal Assembly

In a Mylar bag, tote bag, or vacuum bag, store:

• 1 jar or pouch cookie mix
• 1 packet shortening
