To you dear readers, always to you.

To my readers, thank you all. I’m still blown away by your tweets, posts, pm’s, reviews, support and emails. I can’t express to you what it means to be a proud indie author. I never believed for one day, I would achieve a tenth of what has gone on this year. I still have quite a ways to go. To say, I’m humbled by you wouldn’t adequately describe the depth of gratitude. You’ve, helped me realize a dream as a writer. Picking up one of my books, enjoying the story, loving the characters, and wanting more leaves me with love in my heart and a smile on my face. I am grateful. Hopefully, you are able to escape for a few hours or days leaving you feeling the same way;) You ROCK!!

His way was dark

Not recommended

Powerful and passionate

No ill will intended

Undeniably sexy

He was deadly on the eyes

A hazard for my heart

Fanning flames in my thighs

I couldn’t resist

I was innocent and younger

Somehow this dark man

Created my hunger

Our tale is dark

Not for the meek

You must be strong

For if you peak

He will draw you in

As he’s done to me

And only then

Will you surely see

Why I couldn’t resist

Temptation so strong

Why should any great love

Be both right and yet wrong

No blue skies

No unicorns

Just two snarled hearts

On angry thorns

“Anger is like a thorn in the heart. … the roar of my courage and the cold sweat of my fear.” ~Luca

Pyromania is an impulse control disorder. In which individuals repeatedly fail to resist impulses to deliberately start fires, in order to relieve tension or for instant gratification.

I sat on the windowsill with my diary in hand. I traced the ice-frosted window from the inside with my finger. It was always the same…the sun. There was a time in my young life when the warmth of the sun pricked my skin in delight. I felt alive. However, I never felt that warmth again when five words were etched into my brain forever… “This is our little secret.” My room became my prison by choice. At least I was safe here, or safer…

The determined clunk of heavy boots alerted me he was coming this way. Damon Luca, or Luca as they called him. I thought of him more as Damien—the fucking devil within these walls that now is my life. Mr. Tall, Dark, and Deadly was back to mess with my head. He was a tall-statured boy with broad shoulders and a pair of green eyes that set my soul on fire—my panties as well. His gravelly voice was a velvety kiss to every nerve ending. He had the type of body that had no business being on a seventeen-year-old. One word came to mind—lupine. His long, lean muscles were powerful beneath his tee shirt. I knew that once he developed fully, he’d be lascivious, unrivaled, and absolutely merciless to my body. Thick ebony hair framed his hard chiseled features to perfection. As I said…deadly on the eyes…and dangerous for your heart.

“Whatcha doin’, fancy-face?” He blew his nasty cigarette smoke in my face. He was a health hazard as well.

I discreetly hid my diary on my left, almost sitting on it. Countless times he’s tried to pry it out of my hands. He bordered obsessive about what secrets it held. And made it his daily mission to find out. God, I wish this place had locks.

“You writing in your journal again? Care to share?”
