Tony Hsieh, Zappos CEO, decided, with the help of survey expert Gallup, to offer new hires $1,000 to quit the company after completing thirty days of employment. Tony's hunch, which turned out to be right, incent people to leave and when they turn down the money, their loyalty to their employer vastly increases. Gallup proved Tony right, and allegedly he now offers new hires $2,000 to quit. Reportedly less than 2 percent of all offers are taken by employees who average an income of $11 per hour.
