“Kiss me properly, please!” My voice sounded raspy with need.

He moved from my neck and softly kissed my waiting lips. His tongue probing mine as I pulled myself flush to him and ran my hands into his hair, his hands gripped my shoulder blades pulling me up to stand on tip toe.

After a while we pulled back from the kiss and gazed at each other. I adored the passion we had for each other and I really was falling head over heels for him. “I love how you make me feel!” I gazed up at him.

He gave me a soppy half smile. “I love you! And I know you can't say it back yet but I will wait because the day you say it I will know I have got through all your walls!”

He stroked his fingers over my cheek bone and I smiled at him.

“I've never felt like this about any man before, you have kinda blew my world wide open! I'm glad I attended that awards show now! Even if I did pretty much brake my hand off!” I grinned.

His cheek bones jutted out as he laughed. “I knew that night you where special, I had to get to know you! It was handy bumping into you outside the Shard! I'd been at a business meeting and I was in the back of the SUV when I saw you standing looking up at the shard! You looked all awe struck, I knew it was you! Even with your new crazy hair and oversized jacket, I knew it was you and knew I had to speak to you!”

I grinned from ear to ear. “I wondered how you'd bumped into me that day! So you'd been at the shard on a business thing, and where on your way home but ended up half kidnapping me and force feeding me lunch!” I was teasing him. I didn't find it that surprising that he'd gotten out of the SUV just to speak to me. It was typical Cameron by doing that he'd controlled the situation.

“Pretty much yes but I wouldn't call it kid nap! I seem to remember you rather enjoying the food!” He laughed. “But fuck, when you tripped up that fucking step though! I swear at that point I was convinced you'd end up killing yourself by accident if I didn't look after you!” He rested his forehead on mine.

I groaned. “Urgh I'm uncoordinated! You'll get used to it! The rock climbing used to really help though! Cause I had to concentrate on what I was doing and it actually helped improve my eye had coordination!” I kept a serious face.

“I forbid you to ever do anything that may endanger your life! I mean that in the best way possible because the idea of you being suspended on a rope scares me!” He moved his head back and smiled at me but his eyes where wide.

I sighed. “There's nothing to climb in London so don't freak out! You’re on a harness you do know that! You can't hurt yourself, and it was indoors!” I remembered getting stuck half way up and having to be helped down.

“Even so baby please promise me you won't do anything to risk your life!” He fixed me with a serious look.

“Okay, okay I promise!” I had my fingers crossed behind his head. I couldn't keep the promise because I was far too impulsive and there was things I wanted to do that would probably fall into that category.

“Thank you!” He kissed my cheek softly. “We should finish the pizza and then you can ask me whatever you want to know!”

I smirked. “I will be sure to squeeze all the information out of you!” I picked up the packet of pepperoni and started laying it on pizza while Cameron added the mozzarella.

“Oh I will look forward to that! I quite like the idea of you squeezing me... Again!” His voice dropped and went husky at the last word and I went weak at the knees.

I blushed remembering back a few hours ago and bit my lip.

“I do believe you just blushed.” He sounded pleased with himself.

“Naw totally just hot in here... Really hot!” I smirked as I glanced sideways at him.

“Hmmm yes I agree with that! Very hot!” He turned the oven on and slid the tray in with the pizza on.

I pulled myself up onto the counter and sat in front of the oven to watch it cook. Cameron stood leaning on the unit opposite me. He gazed at me and smiled.

“What?!” I smiled and looked around the kitchen.

“Just thinking how you look at home here! I'm glad you feel comfortable here! I've never brought a female back here before, you’re the first!”

I smiled. “You make me feel wanted! And besides it's nice to have company I don't have anyone in London and the little family that are here kinda don't like me very much!’’
I shrugged. I was secretly pleased he had never bought a girl back here, not even Erin.

His brows knitted together. “What do you mean they don't like you?” He looked confused.

I shrugged. “My dad’s Mom lives here, and his sister & her kids, but they made it quite clear I wasn't going to fit in with them! I mean she's my Granma right, you'd think she'd what to know me but nope!” I didn't really care all that much. I was fairly used to rejection.

“Well it's their loss! Are the other kids your age?! Maybe they are envious of your success?! It happens!” He snorted with contempt.

“Yeah two boys and both a year or so older than me but running average joy jobs so I guess I swan in with my rocker-esk background and they hated me from the get go! You sound as if you know how it feels!” I tilted my head to one side to study his face. He was hard to read sometimes when the shutters went back up.

He sniffed in. “I have an older brother that I don't really speak to! He's always been jealous of me and always tried to out do what I do! He tends to try and interfere with my life! He resents me, he always had, we don't get on, and in fact I class him as one of my enemies!”

He'd never mentioned an older brother, he was a middle child it all suddenly made sense to me.

“I have siblings but I've only meet them twice when they were little! My mom had kids with her new husband! I don't know why she's not remotely maternal but I guess Mr. Investment banker wanted kids so...” I pulled a face. “Families huh!” I smiled lopsided.

He smiled. “Yes families!” He gave me a dark look.

chapter 16

45 minutes later we were sat in his lounge room eating the pizza and the nachos I had made. It was warm and cosy, the room had a plush purple central rug and the decor was all reclaimed wood and abstract paintings with a large central plasma TV. The couch was huge, all leather.

“I'd never have thought about putting those in the oven with cheese on! They taste good!” He smirked as he eat more of the nachos.

My button on my jeans had started to dig into my stomach from all the pizza I'd eaten. I'd normally have taken off my jeans by now at home. I glanced out of the window at the sky, it was tinged with pink as the sun started to set.

“Do you mind if I take my pants off?!” I eyed the spare slice of pizza that was left. There was no way I could eat it if I had my jeans on.

He choked on his nachos and started to laugh loudly. “Need a drink!” He reached for the glass of juice that sat on the table.

I pulled a face. “I don't get what you’re laughing at! My pants are too tight to eat any more food!” I didn't like the fact he was laughing at me. I crossed my arms across my chest when he continued to laugh.

“Why are you laughing at me? I'm not laughing!” I gave him a dirty look.

His face fell as he saw how confused I was. “Oh Evangeline I'm not laughing at you! It's what you said! Pants! I mean I know you meant your jeans but to me pants are what you'd call underwear! It just struck me as funny! I am sorry if I offended you!” He tried not to laugh.

I closed my eyes and my face flushed red releasing why he found it funny! I let a sigh go. “I meant jeans I can assure you! I'm taking them off they are too tight for me to eat any more food!” I laughed and playfully punched his arm.

He smiled from ear to ear as he rubbed his arm. “I'm sorry for teasing you! I meant well! Feel free to take your jeans off! I don't mind at all!” He smirked.

“I'll forgive you!” I grinned and stood up and un-popped the button of my jeans and was deliberately slow shimmying them down my legs.

“Well I could get used to this!” He smirked.

I smirked in return as I managed to remove them without getting them suck on my feet and silently thanked the gods of skinny jeans that I didn't fall over. I folded them up and placed them on the edge of the coffee table. The shirt I had stolen from Cameron was so long it was more like a dress so when I sat down I was confident I wasn't flashing my panties off.

“I call dibs on the last slice of pizza!” I grabbed it and started to eat.

He put the dish with the nachos in on the coffee table and patted his lap.

I looked at him blankly unsure what he wanted.

He smiled. “You can put your legs over my lap, I don't mind!”

I unfolded my legs and placed them across his lap as he had asked.

He smiled as he studied my right ankle. I'd pulled my socks off as I had taken my Jeans off.

“You have a little moon tattoo!”

He touched it with his fingers and I suppressed a giggle as his hand rubbed up my legs.

I smiled and closed my eyes. “So I have a question!” I put my empty plate down and opened my eyes again.

He smiled. “I quite like the benefits of having a girlfriend! I get to do things like watch you eat and touch your legs!”

I smiled. “Nice deflect, so my question is what happened to your harem of women?! Because I assume it's not just Miss A-line skirt! So how many women do I have to avoid on the street!” I smiled sweetly at him.

He took a breath in and moved his hands higher up my legs. Trying to distract me.

“Well much like any other business contract they were no longer required! So they had their contract terminated. And just so you know I never had more than one at a time! If they wanted more from me or developed feelings I cut them loose!” He shrugged.

“Them?! So there was someone other than Miss A-line skirt!” I wasn't sure how I felt about that. Where they out there somewhere maybe pissed off I had taken him away?

He sighed. “Miss A-line skirt as you call her was contracted just like the others and I hadn't seen her in a few weeks, it's strange because I just didn't feel like sex with her! I mean she was keen to please and was very good at pleasing me in many ways but I knew she had feelings for me so I was looking for someone new but then I found you and worked out I didn't want anyone else to have you! I didn't want to share you! Just like you don't want to share me! Evan, I have all these new feelings and passion for you, which I’ve never had before.” He pressed my scar just under my left knee with his index finger. “How did you get that?!”

It was interesting to find out she had been his last partner and I understood how he felt because it was the same for me. Maybe somewhere in his mind he knew he'd find someone and that was why he'd gone off her.

“I get how you’re feeling, I feel the same and as for my knee, I fell over!” I grinned.

He laughed. “I should have known! I want you to know that I never wanted her or any of the others like I want you! I've never even been interested in them the way I am you! I couldn't even tell you her bra size! I didn't care! It wasn't my issue they dealt with all that!”

I grinned. “Well I have to say you choose my underwear very well for a guy! They fit like a glove!” The bra didn't even fell like I was wearing it.

“Let's keep the questions off the subject of other women, you won't like what you hear! And I don't want it to ruin our night!” He smiled.

“Deal!” I didn't want to know anymore.

“So how come you have Jones drive you! Also while we are on the subject what's his first name?!”

He frowned. “As you know from the bike ride today I can clearly drive, it's just easier for me if I have someone drive for me! He's also security detail too! He's ex special ops so he's good! Actually he's better than good! He prefers to be called Jones! It's just how it is! He's a good man!”

I wasn’t sure why he’d not told me his name, he didn’t seem to like me asking about him, was it because he was another man?! I wasn’t sure so I just smiled. Jones was probably the closest thing Cameron had to a friend. I found it fascinating finding all this information out and could have asked so much more but I knew he'd not tell me.

“He seems nice to me, you can kinda tell he's one of the good guys as you say!”

He smiled at me. “You like the moon don't you! You have moon phase tattoos on your inner thigh and a crescent moon on your inside ankle! All black and white! You don't have any coloured ones?!” He studied me with keen eyes.

I smirked. “Yeah I like the simplicity of the black and grey, I mean you can do a lot with shading! Also the moon thing is because my dad said I was born on a full moon! Which makes it kinda cool!” I grinned. I had an infinity with the moon. I liked to watch it. I was fascinated by it.

He grinned. “Hmm doesn't that make you supernatural? Being born under a full moon!” He winked.

I laughed out loud. “Don't worry I don't start howling at the moon after midnight! I guess I always just feel more alive at night! Mostly because of band life but also because I feel more energy at night!”

He smiled. “That's the one thing I miss about the countryside the mass of stars at night! The city kinda drowns them out! One day I will take you with me and we will sit up all night watching them! Just you, me and a telescope!”

I couldn't keep the smile off my face. It sounded like heaven. It also meant he planned to take me to his weekend place at some stage. Which was progress.

“I'd really like that! One day I'll take you to LA and we can look at the stars from the roof! It's pretty epic, my Dads got a house out in the hills so if you don't mind the Coyotes at night it's pretty cool!” I knew my dad would hate him because he'd think he was controlling and they were both at polar opposites to each other but they'd have to find a way of getting on.

“I shall look forward to that! I've never actually stayed out in the hills! You can show me around!” He grinned.

“For sure!” I slid down the couch a little more so my legs where right over his lap now. “You get a pretty awesome view of the sun sets from here!” The sky was now an inky blue tinged with the last remains of the pink sky. Even with the city in the background it looked stunning. “Nature is pretty bad ass! What a shame we are screwing it up!”
