Dairy products, as these can be mucus-forming and worms thrive in a mucus-laden digestive tract. Other foods that can contribute to mucus buildup include wheat and other gluten grains (rye, oats, and barley), soy, citrus fruits, meat, and eggs.

HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS

Follow an herbal protocol for 10 days, stop for a week, and then resume for another 10 days to remove any that may have hatched since the initial 10 days.

Dandelion juice.

Drink aloe vera juice twice daily before meals to aid gut cleansing and healing.

Black walnut extract three times a day on an empty stomach.

This can be combined with a small handful of pumpkin seeds and/or a clove of garlic for an enhanced effect. The garlic can be minced and combined with miso and water if necessary. Freshly crushed cloves can kill the eggs.

Other useful herbs include artemesia (mugwort), rhubarb root, gentiana root, cloves, and wormwood. It is beneficial to drink a cup of artemesia tea before going to bed during treatment.

Grapefruit seed extract can be taken internally—20 drops in water three times a day. It can be used for washing vegetables if there is a risk that they contain bacteria or parasites—mix 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract in 4 pints of water.

Culinary herbs that can help to support the immune system and are colon cleansing include fenugreek, flax seeds, fennel seeds, thyme, cayenne, and turmeric.

Drink slippery elm tea three times a day to aid colon cleansing and healing.

EXTRA TIPS

Be scrupulous about hand washing and scrub under the fingernails daily.

Wash underwear, bed linen, and towels in very hot water after each use.

It may be necessary to treat all members of the family and others who have been in close contact.
