Her body
tightened then trembled. It felt as if I were inside a warm, sensual waterfall
as the flow of her orgasm saturated my violently pulsating shaft.

My swelling
phallus reached its limit, spreading her open before my own copious orgasm
began. The warm, thick, intense flow of my sexual explosion triggered another,
stronger orgasm from her. Her second orgasm began as my first subsided. Her
second orgasm triggered another from me. The sensations were so strong they
brought tears to our eyes. Unbridled passion took control of our bodies
simultaneously. We couldn’t fight it if we’d tried. Slowly, I removed my
throbbing hardness from her quivering feminine softness and fell onto my back,
exhausted. After we both laid there staring at the ceiling in dazed,
post-coital bliss for a moment, I mustered enough strength to turn to her and
say,

“Rachel, I
love you!”

“Alton, I
love you!” She responded.

She laid her
head softly against my chest. I placed my right arm around Rachel and held her
tightly. I took her right hand in my left and we fell asleep with our fingers
intertwined. At last she was mine and I was hers.

Jazz Hardaway

Randall was
cool with Alton and Zeke so I felt comfortable hiring him for my case. I didn’t
question it. That was the worst mistake of my life. The first time I spoke to
him was over the phone from jail. I think if I’d met him and set my eyes on his
face, I would have been able to see something was up.

The bastard
didn’t waste any time either. He came with Zeke to pick me up. As we walked out
of the police station, Randall slowed down and let Zeke walk ahead because he
wanted him out of earshot of what he was about to say to me. When Zeke walked
through the automatic doors Randall stopped walking, turned around, and put his
hand up to my chest in a halting gesture.

“Jazz, your
time is up. I’m sure Zeke has had fun slumming with you but it’s over. You and
I both know he is way out of your league. He needs someone like me who can give
him all the finer things that he deserves.”

“What? Who
the hell do you think you are? You better get out of my face with that bullshit
before I kick…”

“Pipe down.
Try me and I promise I’ll be your worst nightmare. That thug shit might work on
the streets, but not here. Zeke doesn’t belong with you. Just like I made one
little call, got you released, and the charges dropped in 5 minutes, I can have
your ass put away just as fast. Zeke and I already discussed it and he wants to
be with me. I just figured I’d do you a favor and tell you what was up. He is
just waiting for the right time to drop you.

“You’re
lying.”

You could
have been out of here about 10 minutes after I talked to you. That was over 2
hours ago, why do you think it took so long?

“What you
trying to say?”

“He’s been in
love with me since he was in high school. He has a birthmark on his left ass
cheek. I slapped it when I was taggin’ that ass.”

My whole
world came to a screeching halt. I felt angry, hurt, and depressed all at once.
I wanted to cry but tears wouldn’t come. I wanted to lash out but felt like my
hands were bound. Suddenly, I felt like I’d been hit in the chest with a 5-ton
sledgehammer. I remember grabbing my chest and slumping to the ground. I woke
up in the hospital with Zeke standing over me crying his eyes out.

“What the
hell happened?”

“I don’t
know. I walked out of the station and when I turned around you weren’t there. I
came back in and I saw you clutch your chest and fall to the ground. We called
911 and they brought you here. The doctor said it was some kind of extreme
stress episode. Randall said you just got this look on your face and then
collapsed.”

“Randall?
That son of a bitch! I remember what happened now. Where is he?”

“Randall
caught a flight back to L.A. about an hour ago. He had to go work on some high
profile case.”

“Zeke, I’m
gonna ask you straight up and I want the truth. Did you sleep with him?”

“Sleep with
Randall? Hell no. What makes you ask me that?”

“Are you
planning to break up with me Zeke?”

“No, I love
you more than anything in the world Jazz. Don’t you know that? Where are these
questions are coming from?”

“Never mind I
just had to clear something up in my head. Come here.” I said as I pulled him
closer to me.

Zeke leaned
down to kiss me. I grabbed the back of his head the way I always do when I kiss
him. As soon as I pressed my lips to his and our tongues touched, I saw the
image of my dad standing at the end of my bed. I shook it off as paranoia and
kept kissing Zeke. I saw my father’s face again but that time I was certain my
eyes were open. I blinked my eyes but I still saw him. I felt for certain I was
going crazy.

“No daddy,
somebody lied on me you said. Lo and Behold I come in and see it was true. So
this is the faggot you been seen with all over town huh? You remember what I
told you boy?” My dad said as he stood at the end of the bed.

My dad was
the coolest guy in the world as long as things went the way he wanted. We
always clashed because of that. I’m not afraid of him, but he is unpredictable.
I will never forget the time I saw him shoot a man in cold blood.

Flashback

“Pay
attention Jazz. I’m about to show you how to take your respect.”

“Yes sir.”

We pulled up
to a small brick house. My dad got out of the car and walked up to the man standing
in the yard. He was a tall, young man on the slim side with a gold tooth and an
afro. He also had the smoothest dark brown skin I’d ever seen.

“You
disobeyed me Curtis.” Dad said.

“Tony, you
can’t make me stay away.” Curtis replied adamantly.

“We already
discussed this. You have no choice. They’re mine now.”

I thought my
dad would just maybe beat him up or something. I was not prepared for what
happened next.

“Tony please
have a heart. We supposed to be like brothers.”

“Curtis you
know me, I don’t have a fucking heart.”

The next
thing I knew my dad pulled his gun and held it to the man’s head.

“Come on
Tony, please don’t do this. You don’t have to do this.”

“ You brought
all of this on yourself.”

“Tony please
don’t do this!” Curtis pleaded.

“Curtis this
ain’t personal it’s business. I gotta teach you obedience.”

The man cried
as he continued to beg for his life. I felt so sorry for him, but I still
thought my dad was just trying to scare him.

“But Tony I
love them. That’s MY seed Tony! MY seed!” He said between his sobs.

As the man
sobbed on his knees my dad placed the gun to his chest.

“Curtis I
love you too. I’m sorry but I have to.” My dad said to him before kneeling
beside him and kissing his forehead.

Without any
more words or fanfare my dad pulled the trigger. I screamed when I heard the
shot. The man’s eyes were still open, his tears running down his handsome brown
skinned face. I never looked at my father the same after that. All the way home
my father drove in silence. After about 10 minutes, I saw tears streaming from
his strained eyes as he’d given up trying to stop them or hide them. When we
got home he pulled into the driveway and turned the car off.

“Son there
was a lesson in what you saw me do tonight. That is that a man’s word is everything.

Sometimes not
keeping your word can cost you your life. Everything you saw tonight, you
didn’t see. If you EVER tell anyone what you saw tonight I will do the same
thing to you, do you understand me?”

“Yes sir.” I
said nervously.

I couldn’t
sleep for weeks because I was so afraid my dad was going to come into my room
in the middle of the night and shoot me to make sure I’d never tell what I saw.
When I saw my dad standing at the end of my bed, it brought the memories of
that night flooding into my mind. He had the same look on his face that he had
when he shot Curtis. Zeke was visibly upset and understandably so after my dad
had just called him a fag to his face. Zeke didn’t know what my dad was capable
of, so he didn’t have the wisdom to be afraid.

“Jazz I’ll
leave you and your dad alone to discuss whatever it is you need to discuss. I
will not stand here and be disrespected by him or anybody else.” Zeke said to
me.

“Mr. Hardaway
you don’t know me so I’d suggest in the future you refrain from calling
strangers out of their names, especially me.” He said to my dad.

“You don’t
suggest me to do shit. You don’t know me and if you want to live you won’t say
another word to me you fucking faggot.”

“Listen you
geritol gangsta! You may consider yourself an OG, but a reputation doesn’t
intimidate me neither do words. I’d like to offer you an invitation. I invite
you to run your lips straight past my ass. Jazz you’d better get your daddy.”

With their equally
explosive tempers a standoff was impossible. My dad suddenly grabbed Zeke by
his neck and started squeezing. I saw Zeke’s eyes bulge out in an effort to
breathe, and then I heard my dad scream. My dad released Zeke’s throat but he
was still screaming. I looked down to see that Zeke had both on his hands on my
dad’s crotch. That boy had clamped down like a vice and was twisting in
opposite directions. Zeke finally let go and walked toward the door to leave. I
saw my dad going after him from behind. I leapt up from the bed and snatched
all of the monitors off in a hurry to get to him before he got to Zeke.

I reached
them too late. As Zeke passed the glass window on the way to the door, my dad
hit him; well tackled him is a better description because he went at him like
he was a linebacker on a football field. He knocked Zeke into the window,
breaking it with a loud crash. My dad put his hands around Zeke’s neck, choking
him and trying to push him out the window at the same time.

Zeke’s back
was against the small ledge and at any moment he was about to go over that
ledge and fall 11 stories down. Zeke realized my dad was trying to push him out
the window. What he did next shocked me.

“You’re gonna
push me out the window? Well I’m taking your ass with me!”

Zeke put both
of his arms around my dad and started pulling him. He had pulled them both
halfway out of the window before I could react.

I grabbed my
dad from the back and pulled him backwards back into the room, which made him
release Zeke and fall backwards on top of me. The noise made the nurse come
running into the room. She tripped over my dad and fell. My dad got up and
lunged at me but the nurse got caught between us. She started screaming, Zeke
started cursing, and my dad started punching….me.

I wasn’t the
same teenager he’d beat unconscious before. I thought about how he’d bullied
everyone my whole life. He had us scared to breathe with his rants and fits of
violence. I thought about what he’d done to Zeke, who was innocent. Zeke’s only
crime was that he loved me. I returned blow for blow. When I thought about the
fact that my dad had intended to kill Zeke by pushing him out of the window a
rage took control of me and I charged him with the full weight of my body,
knocking him into the wall.

“I lied to
keep you from acting like this. This is who I fell in love with. I couldn’t
help that and he is the best thing that’s EVER happened to me. So yeah, I love
him and you are not going to make me deny him anymore. You can’t control my
life. I’m happy but all you care about is you and how you feel. You were wrong
to come in here and put your hands on anybody.”

“Boy, you
choosing this fag over me? You’d do that to me?”

“Stop calling
him that. If he is one then so am I. Don’t you get it? This is my life, you can
be a part of it or not. YOU make the choice. I am not choosing anybody over
anybody. He is who I love, who I want to be with, and share my life with. You
can’t understand that?”

“I raised you
better than this. I can’t believe you’re embarrassing me like this. You momma’s
heart will be broken.”

“Don’t bring
mom into this. This is about you being pissed because you can’t control me.
Nigga you ain’t God! You never loved me as a son. I’ve never been anything to
you but something to control. I am also officially out of the drug game. I
never wanted that, you did! I am not selling your drugs anymore! I am going to
do me from now on!”
“Now that’s where I draw the line. There is no getting out of this. You will
carry on the legacy. You have no choice.”

“I haven’t
been out on the block in over a year and I am not going back!”

“When I get
through kicking your ass, you will be running back to the block. You must have
forgotten who I am boy!”

“Fuck a
legacy! You and your legacy can both kiss my black ass. You don’t give a damn
about no legacy. You just want me to be selling drugs to support you when you
get old. You think I’m your human pension plan and you can retire like a wall
street CEO or something.”

“You got
stars in your eyes thinking you gonna blow up as some rapper or something. You
need to face it, you are common thug, a street nigga and that’s all you ever
gonna be. If you want out, OK, you’re out, out of everything! I wash my hands
of you.

“I never want
to see either one of you sorry faggots again. Don’t bring your ass to my house
ever again. I don’t have a son, you don’t exist to me anymore.”

“I don’t have
to see you, but you are not keeping me away from ma.”

“If I see you
at my house you’re dead! If I find out you’ve been there when I wasn’t there
you’re dead.”

“You know
what? I don’t care anymore. Why don’t you go ahead and shoot me and get it over
with! Do it! Go ahead, then you don’t have to think about me or see me or talk
to me anymore.” I screamed at him as I felt tears form in my eyes.
