The next song was a slow and seductive one, allowing us to move quietly together once again, he drew me back into this chest and ran his nose along my ear, then kissed the side of my lips.

“You’re incredible, baby,” he whispered into my ear, as he pulled out and used a napkin from his pocket to clean me up. After moving my panties back into position, and making me somewhat presentable once more, he righted his own clothes and lead me back to our friends.

Walking back to the table, I saw Luke, Jake, Trent, Reed and another guy I’d never met. Someone told me his name was Justin. I gave him a little wave, gathered my things and gave everyone drunk hugs and kisses before following Gavin out. Chelsea had followed me, as did Justin.

“Oh my god, you smell like sex!” Amber shouted over the noise. Our entire group stopped talking, stopped looking around, stopped everything and turned to look at Amber and then at me.

The men adopted sly grins and nodded in Gavin’s direction, the women took on surprised, but impressed faces and either winked or smiled at me, all, I noticed except for Amber. She and Trent were locked in another longing stare; one they apparently didn’t realize that everyone could see. I also noticed that Gillian smiled, but quickly blushed and looked down at her lap when Reed smirked at her.

I finished saying goodnight and readied myself to leave. Apparently, Gavin would drive me home, Justin would take Chelsea, then drive my car to my place, where they’d already dropped his car. These boys were so smart. When I told Gavin that, he laughed and pulled me into his side, kissing the top of my head.

I was so amped up again when we got to the truck, I started to claw at his chest, kissing his neck, his face, opening his button up shirt and kissing every inch of skin I could reach, ready for round two.

“Baby, we’re in a public parking lot.”

“You didn’t care about that twenty minutes ago.” I protested, wondering why he would do me on a dance floor, surrounded by hundreds of people, but not out here in the parking lot.

Pointing up to the light poles, I noticed security cameras. Nodding my understanding, I remembered something.

“Oh my god!” I shouted excitedly, pulling myself away from his amazing body, “Hope’s pregnant.”

Gavin’s knowing smile pissed me off. “You already knew?” I accused.

“I did, Jake is so proud of himself, we can’t hardly stand him these days.”

“How long have you known?” I pouted, moving into my own seat and starting to buckle my seatbelt.

Gavin pushed up the center console, revealing the middle seat and planted me in it. He buckled me in and put his arm firmly around me after he started the truck and got us on the road.

“A couple of weeks,” Gavin confessed, making me sigh in irritation.

I tried to fondle Gavin through his jeans for a while, but on the drive home, my drunk-ass fell asleep. I woke briefly as he carried me inside his house, stripped me out of my dress and shoes, and even took a wash cloth to my face. He gave me a Gatorade and some ibuprofen before I passed out again.

The following morning came way too early. I had to be at the store by nine, and as I got ready for the long workday, I seriously regretted the insane shots I’d had the night before. It was the first time since we’d been together that we didn’t have sex. If I’d felt half way decent, I might have worried, but I didn’t and I could see through his boxers, that he was more than willing.

Chapter 12

Gavin

Hot, wet, ah, fuck, I was having the best sex dream of my life. I knew I was dreaming, but wanted to stay asleep to fully enjoy it.

“Shit,” I muttered, as my brain woke, then my eyes fluttered open, seeing the morning sun coming through the cracks in the window blinds. I wanted that dream back, I whined in my own head.

I heard a loud pop sound, then Dawn’s sweet morning voice ask, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I was having an awesome dream, then I woke up.”

“Mmm,” I felt the vibrations of her moan, snapping my eyes open, I looked down.

“Damn, baby, you’re the best dream ever.” She’d been sucking my dick the entire time. Fucking perfect girlfriend.

Dawn’s wet tongue traced the veins on the underside of my dick and down to my balls. She’d become an expert with the piercings, she knew exactly how to lick and suck me, how to make it feel just right and work around my accessories, as she called them.

As she sucked one nut into her mouth, my ass jolted off the bed, the pleasure so intense, I almost came right there. Her little hand curled around me, flicked the ball and then the hoop before beginning to stroke me.

My entire body was tensed, trying to fight the impending shot of cum, if she didn’t stop, her tongue was wicked, I’d lose it. Doing an ab curl, I grabbed her under her arms and yanked her up to me. I moved her up and over me, so she straddled my hips, and plunged up into the tight wetness.

“Yes,” she hissed as I hit her g-spot. In this position, the ball would hit her clit with every little bounce. She rode me wildly, fast and hard, pounding down, her tits bounced and I couldn’t stop myself from taking them in my palms. Tweaking her nipples and sucking them into my mouth had her climaxing in minutes. Rolling her onto her back, I pounded her harder than ever before, shaking the bed so hard I thought it might break. I came for a long time; there was so much, I could feel the cum leaking from her pussy.

After a few minutes, catching our breaths, she began to giggle.

“What’s so funny?” I asked, tickling her ribs for good measure.

“I need to buy more sheets.” I thought about that and laughed right alongside her.

We were going to Mom’s for brunch later that morning. I was concerned about Zach showing up again, as far as I knew, no one had heard anything from him since the dinner a few weeks back.

Sarah, Dawn’s mom would be joining us today as well, it would be a first. Dawn didn’t seem to spend much time with Sarah, they spoke on the phone every few days and Dawn went to see her on rare occasion, but they had an odd relationship in my opinion. Dawn’s childhood hadn’t been easy, I knew that, Sarah had always been too lost in her own dreams, to worry about Dawn, but as far as I knew, nothing tragic had happened to either woman, which was a miracle in itself.

I wondered, if the tragedy of my own father’s treatment of us and his death caused my mom and me to forge such a close relationship. What the hell had happened to Zach then? He was the wild card.

Pulling up at my mom’s house later on that morning, I took comfort in Dawn’s soft, warm body pressed into my side. I loved that she’d begun sitting like this all the time.

I’d had to force myself to let go of the regret I’d felt from losing all those years with her. Trusting that we were now at the right time for each other, we hadn’t been ready back then, I had to remember that. It would have been nice though, to have a couple of kids sitting in the back seat right now, on our way to grandma’s.

As we walked up the sidewalk to my mom’s front door, I couldn’t get the image of Dawn swollen with my babies out of my head. I knew I loved her, had known for a little while, but hadn’t told her yet. I wanted to get some more time with her, before I spooked her with that confession. Also, admittedly, I was being a pussy, I wanted to be sure she felt close to the same before I put myself out there that way.

The images kept coming though, greeting mom, Peter and Sarah, sitting down to brunch with everyone, I could see it all. The hazy images of our children sitting around this table, curly blonde hair, Dawn’s beautiful eyes, laughing and teasing with our family. They were beautiful images; ones I’d do just about anything to get.

“Yes, it’s been on the market for a few days now.” I heard Sarah saying to Peter. I hadn’t been paying attention, had been so focused on my daydreams.

I looked at Dawn, watching for any reaction from her, worried that she wouldn’t like her mom selling the only home she’d ever known.

Dawn reached across and squeezed her mom’s hand, then asked; “Any bites yet?”

She explained that the house had been shown three times already, and she was hopeful. One young couple was especially excited and her realtor hoped to have an offer early next week.

“I need to grab those boxes, are they in the garage?” Dawn asked, a furrow between her brows.

“They are, don’t worry, I’ve got them all stacked up and ready for you. There aren’t many.” Sarah said, a relaxed smile on her face I’d never seen before.

“Mom, you shouldn’t be lifting them, I know at least one is pretty heavy.” Dawn protested, concern apparent in her tone.

Sarah blushed, and she looked down at her lap with a small grin on her face. Watching her, seeing her now, it was obvious that she’d been a beautiful woman. Life hadn’t been easy on her, but it was easy to see that Dawn would be just as radiant in a couple of decades as her mother, if not more so.

“I didn’t.” She explained, vaguely.

Dawn looked over at me and then back to her mom. I noticed my mom’s secret smile. Even though the two older women weren’t neighbors anymore, they were still close friends. Mom knew something.

“What? Who moved them?” Dawn asked, a bit of hesitation in her voice.

“Tom, from the office. He helped me.”

I knew Sarah had done many different jobs over the years, but she’d been working for a large office in Plano for the past several. I didn’t know who Tom was though, but as I saw Dawn’s wide smile, I assumed she did.

Not one to make a scene, she just said, “that’s great, mom.”

Sarah’s return smile was soft and genuine. I watched the interaction between mother and daughter. They seemed more relaxed with each other than I’d ever seen, and I hoped that was the start of a new and improved relationship between them.

After brunch was over, we sat on the back deck and enjoyed the tranquility of their back yard oasis.

“Gavin, can we talk?” Peter asked, speaking quietly, as not to disturb the women’s conversation.

Nodding, I kissed Dawn’s hand that was entwined with mine, released her and stood to follow him. He led me to his study and closed the door.

“What’s going on? Is Mom okay?” I asked, immediately concerned with our need for privacy.

“Of course, she’s perfect. I need to talk to you about Zach.”

Holding back a groan of annoyance, I took the seat he offered. He sat across from me and rested his forearms on his knees and looked at the floor for a few minutes.

I liked Peter, he’d been a great husband to my mother, generous with affection and kind in a way she needed. She’d flourished in the years they’d been together.

Waiting, silent and still, for Peter to tell me whatever my brother was up to now, I looked around the room, without taking anything in.

“Zach has been found, he’s in rehab.”

My eyes shot straight to look right at Peter. Knowing I needed to say something, but having no idea what, I sat there with my mouth gaping open.

Peter nodded and continued. “He was arrested last night for drunk driving.”

“Shit, where?”

“Fort Worth.”

Nodding in understanding, I realized why I hadn’t heard. Fort Worth wasn’t far, but it was south of Dallas, I didn’t have many dealings with the area, so I didn’t have a lot of contacts down there. Few people even knew I had a brother, so it was unlikely anyone would have known to let me know.

“Did he hurt anyone?”

“No, thank god. I wanted to tell you right away, but your mother has been distraught, it’s taken about every second of the day keeping her head above water.”

“Why didn’t you cancel today?”

Shaking his head, he explained, “No, she wanted this brunch, she was so excited and it was good for her to have something to focus on.”

I understood that, it made sense, but I wished I’d known, so I could at least have been here for Mom earlier, though, I realized, she didn’t need me in that role anymore, it wasn’t my place, it was Peter’s. It was my job to be that, and so much more, for Dawn.

He explained the bits and pieces that he knew. What had happened last night and practically forcing Zach into rehab. I couldn’t imagine how hard Peter had to push, knowing that Zach wouldn’t want it, he’d fight against it, but rehab was probably the best place for him.

Zach had apparently spilled quite a bit in his inebriated state. He’d admitted to getting one of the female officers on his base drunk and having sex with her. The military wasn’t classifying it as rape, since she’d been on board and they’d both been intoxicated, thank god he hadn’t drugged her. He was being disciplined for it though, he’d be lucky if he didn’t get a dishonorable discharge. Obviously, it was never okay to sleep with a woman when she wasn’t able to make a sound decision, and from what it sounded like, she hadn’t been anywhere close to able to make one for herself. There was actually some question as to whether or not she was completely conscious.

He told me that Zach had been drunk during almost every interaction they’d had for the past several months, and thinking back, that was probably true when I’d seen him too. I didn’t even want to consider the number of times he must have driven. He’d been hiding it well, I was trained to see it, but I hadn’t, not to the obvious extent it had gotten to.

Total and utter disbelief swamped me, thinking about the brother I’d idolized when I was little. How had he turned into this? An alcoholic? Knowing the military as I did, I knew it was possible, especially in his position, to get around drug tests, but with his current problems, it would be harder, they’d be looking at him a lot closer now. I hoped there wasn’t more than alcohol, that seemed like plenty to deal with all on its own.

Peter and I talked for a few more minutes about the facility, what the doctors had to say this morning and when he could have visitors. As much as I wanted to be the cold-hearted asshole, and not give a shit after what he’d tried to do to Dawn, and to me, I couldn’t. He was still my brother.

Even Dawn, after the way he’d treated her, had expressed concern for him over the past few weeks, since none of us had known where he was. If she could forgive him, even worry over him, I figured it was reasonable that I did, he was, after all, my brother.

Zach’s situation wasn’t over yet, certainly there would be plenty more to come with all that crap, but at least for me, I could take a deep breath and not worry about him for a while. I knew that we’d never be close, but he would hopefully get at least this one thing straightened out. Maybe with the required counseling sessions, he would come to see the error of his ways and make an effort to change. It was a long shot, but there was always a chance. I hoped, for my mom if nothing else, that he would try.

We left in the early afternoon, but instead of driving home, we stopped at an open house I’d seen earlier in the week. Dawn had no idea why we were stopping, I hadn’t mentioned it, but I was about done with the back and forth thing.

“What is this?” She asked.

“It’s a thought. Look, keep an open mind, okay? We need a place where we have enough space for both of us.”

Her eyes moved from the house to me. She didn’t say anything, just nodded, but her eyes were wide and obviously surprised.

“Come on, let’s just take a look. I haven’t seen it yet, so I have no idea if it’s right for us.”

“Okay,” she said softly, climbing down out of the truck.

The front lawn was large, not huge, but it was a good sized lot, the house was set back about half way, so I assumed that the back yard would be good too. The house itself was red brick with white trim, white shutters and flower boxes along the front. The trim needed painting and the landscape needed refreshed, but the one-story house had an inviting front porch, large enough for a swing and a couple of chairs. The door was a beautiful dark stained oak, which shown nicely against the trim.

Dawn’s eyes scanned the property, the nice wood fence that surrounded the back appeared from the front walk to be in good shape. She didn’t miss anything; I could tell she was taking it all in. Walking through the front door, we were greeted by an overly attentive realtor, who, in my opinion had way too much interest in helping Dawn. The little douche bag couldn’t take his eyes off her, in the sweet pink sundress she was wearing.

When she paid no attention to him, other than to shake his hand in greeting, I settled, somewhat. He did get a stern look though, which made him shrink back and not be quite so obvious in his perusal.

The rooms were open and spacious, the kitchen was nicely updated and large enough for both of us to work in. There were separate living spaces, formal and casual, which would be good, since we both had decent furniture.
