“Can we have another one?” he asked quietly as he turned back to Deanna, deciding one wouldn’t be enough.

“Already? Honey, let me have a little rest first,” she said smiling indulgently at him, knowing he was revelling in being a father.

“I’ll ring Ma and the members to let them know. Holly has been looking forward to meeting her wee brother. It’s strange their birthdays are exactly a week apart.”

Holly had been excited when they’d told her Deanna was pregnant. She was now an active and very curious four year old. Thankfully they’d been able to keep all the traumas Deanna had suffered away from her, watching closely for any signs of her early experiences affecting her. But they knew she would ask questions about her biological father when she was older and they would have to be prepared.

“Hello son. You’re going to be the next President of the Ravens MC. I’ll teach you everything you’ll ever need to know. You have an amazing and loving ma and fantastic big sister. You will always be loved and protected by us,” Nate whispered, staring down adoringly at Anthony who slept peacefully in his large safe arms.

Deanna’s eyes became teary as she watched Nate with Anthony and she could see that Nate instantly loved him, exactly the same as he did Holly.

She knew that this man would do anything for her and his family, including going against something he believed in. Nate had finally admitted to her that he’d planned Shaun’s death with Quinn. Even though at first she’d been shocked, she’d always known that Nate would somehow make everything alright in the end. God have mercy on anyone who tried to hurt them again, because Nate sure wouldn’t.

“You’ll have to buy me more swords. I’m dreading when Holly’s a teenager and lads turn up at the house wanting to take her out. But our kids will have the best lives with the MC to help protect them.”

The MC was thriving. Their reputation was solid and unshakeable. Future plans were set in motion and the club was already arranging more charity runs, not having had many chances during the past few months.

Jamie had recovered quickly from his stab wound and had been made a full member of the club. He now enjoyed every day of his life and spent a lot of time with the Gunn’s, who had practically adopted him into their family. It had been a memorable day when Jamie got his first bike. Nate had secretly customised a gorgeous Harley and given it to Jamie as a thank you gift for everything he’d done. The lad was never seen without it or his Raven cut.

Ethan now owned McKnights alongside Fiona and they’d recently bought a house together not far away from Nate and Deanna’s. Not long after Deanna had discovered she was pregnant Ethan had proposed to Fiona. The couple decided to plan their wedding for two months’ time, giving Deanna plenty of time to recuperate from having Anthony. Nate would be best man and Deanna maid of honour and they were both very happy for the couple.

One night Fiona had taken Deanna aside and thanked her for everything. Even though they’d met during a horrible event, Deanna couldn’t regret it as it had brought a special woman into their lives, especially Ethan’s. They deserved each other and Fiona had become a valuable part of the MC, Ethan also becoming an honorary member.

Fiona and Deanna continued to teach self-defence classes as Deanna refused to allow her near-death experiences to change anything. In fact, it had made her even stronger.

Alice was busy preparing for lots more grandchildren. Nate had bought her a small quaint cottage a couple of miles away for them, which she loved. She still spent most of her time at their house babysitting Holly and looking forward to holding her first official biological grandchild.

Logan and Heather had settled into marital bliss and a few months before had found out that Heather was expecting twins. The couple were ecstatic and the baby girls were due in a matter of weeks.

After their rushed wedding, Megan and Fraser were enjoying married life and were planning on starting a family soon. Megan finally had her Ann Summers party as her hen night, the initial plans for a party had been spoiled when Deanna had been attacked by Lee all those many months ago. The men had groaned and complained as they’d been sent out of the way and the ladies all had an exuberant night, especially when a surprise male stripper had turned up, much to the men’s disgust.

Quinn and Olivia’s one year old son, Gregor, was growing up fast and he adored Holly. Even though the loss of their first child would never be forgotten, they were looking forward to extending their family in the near future. The couple spent a lot of time with Deanna and Nate and Deanna had come to respect, and slightly fear, Quinn, even more after discovering what he’d secretly arranged with Nate, ensuring the death of a man who’d hurt both their wives and families.

Shaun was gone from the world and could never again cause them or anyone else harm. Lee had recently been moved to an insane asylum, not recovering from the breakdown he’d had when he’d heard of Shaun’s untimely death.

From recent reports, Lee had now lost his mind and struggled to even remember his own name. In some way Deanna felt sorry for him. Lee was one of those people that was born a normal child but had been changed over the years because of an abusive and traumatic childhood. He was getting the help he’d always needed, but it was obviously too late.

Cameron was also a constant shadow at the MC and was invited to suitable club events. He’d formed an unlikely attachment to one of the nicer club hanger’s-on called Sophie. Deanna was eternally grateful to him for finding her father and his refusal to give up on him.

Deanna knew her mother and father were watching over them, they must be as she’d survived so much at the hands of Lee and Shaun. Deanna felt that her father had truly been avenged and could finally be at peace.

As Deanna snuggled back contentedly into the pillows she continued to watch Nate. He looked up from Anthony and looked into each other’s eyes and she knew without a doubt that this magnificent man would always be by her side.

Life was finally perfect. They had a large group of amazing and loyal friends, their bonds so close they were all a true family. The Raven’s Motorcycle Club now had complete and total FREEDOM TO RIDE.
