Jenna, Aunt Suzette and David left the room and closed the door quietly behind them as the phone rang.

“Zoe.” His voice was hoarse and he sounded tired and weary.

“Jordy,” I whispered.

“You know what happened then? The truth?”

“Yes. David told me. I need to see you. I need you, Jordan.”

“My darling Zoe.”

“Hurry, Jordan.”

“Yes.”

I hung up the phone and lay back on the pillow as I waited for Jordan to arrive. I couldn’t wait to tell him that I loved him, make plans to be with him and help heal his heart. My eyes fluttered shut as I thought of Jordan on his way to me. There was so much that still needed to be done and said.

“Jordan,” I whispered. His name floated across the room and I turned toward my lover as he made his way to me. I put my hands in his as he led me to one of the chairs in the music room of his home. He set me down and went to the sleek music equipment where he quickly programmed some songs. Walking to the door of the soundproof music room, he slid the lock on the door as the music started. The voice of Justin Timberlake singing “LoveStoned” vibrated in the room.

I turned around to see him slowly making his way toward me as he started to dance to the music. I was dumbfounded at the incredible moves that he had. His hips gyrated to the fast-paced music and his legs joined in the movement. His hands went to the buttons of his shirt. He stood in front of me as he performed a strip tease with his shirt and slowly unbuttoned his pants.

The music continued and I couldn’t help but tap my feet to the sound. I wanted to join in the dance as his lean muscular body moved above, then around me. He moved back to face me and unzipped his pants. I wet my lips with the tip of my tongue and reached out to touch him but he danced just beyond my reach. Sweat beaded on his lithe body as the song reached a crescendo and his body twisted and turned into a seductive move.

God, I wanted to touch him. Run my hands across the muscles of his long lean legs. I held my breath as he reached for his underwear and pulled it off, baring his gorgeous sex which was pulsing with desire.

The song came to an end. He pulled me from the chair and whispered, “Your turn.” He sat in the chair I just vacated as the voice of Nelly Furtado rang through the room singing “Maneather”.

My body started a slow, seductive dance as I moved across the room. His eyes were on me as I lay on the chaise lounge and ran my hands across my body starting at my neck then slowly down to my breasts. I squeezed my nipples and moved lower still, pausing at my mound. I rubbed my womanhood but did not stop. My hands moved from my legs to my ankles then back to the apex of my thighs. I stopped now and looked at him then looked down at my hands as I parted my legs wider and pushed a finger in my hot, wet slit. In and out, again and again.

Slowly, I reached up to my lips and tasted the pleasure of my body then got up off the chaise. I made my way back to him, all the while moving my body to the seductive music. I stood in front of him as I slowly stripped off my clothing. I was naked now with only my four-inch stilettos. I continued to dance, my hands in my hair then trailed them to my breasts. The song ended and I straddled him in a lap dance with my chest to his. Lenny Kravitz’ “I Belong to You” pierced through the room.

My lover’s erection was steel hard and the head of his cock round and plump, straining toward his abdomen. He tried to enter me, but I moved a few inches away from him. He pulled my ass toward his cock but I moved a little to his left leg and rode it as if I were fucking his leg. We moved in the erotic motion for a few minutes in erotic play until our breathing was choppy and we were both needy with sexual desire.

He finally placed both of his hands on my hips, lifted me and impaled me on his massive cock. With one swift motion, he penetrated my dripping vagina. I threw my head back and screamed in ecstasy as I rode him. Harder and harder my hips gyrated on his penis. He pushed out of the chair walked with me impaled on his manhood. My back hit against the nearest wall and he fucked me.

I begged him for more, more please, and he obliged. Our bodies were drenched in sweat as I held onto his broad shoulders. My knees were locked around his waist as he slammed into me. We reached a climactic union together. I screamed his name as he groaned into my mouth taking my tongue in a fiercely hot kiss.

His hips jerked as he spilled his seed deep in my body. We held onto each other and gasped for air. He gazed into my eyes and I was unable to look anywhere else but at him.

Chapter 34

A gentle hand awakened me on my shoulder and for a moment I wondered why I was asleep during the day. I wasn’t even sure what day it was. My left upper arm was sore and I had a dull headache.

The setting sun was streaming into my bedroom through white wooden shutters casting muted shadows on the floor. The curtains swayed slowly from the air vent above on the ceiling.

I turned over on my back. Jenna was looking at me with concern in her eyes. I wasn’t sure how long I’d been asleep, but the erotic dream I had caused a light sheen of perspiration on my skin and jacked up my heart rate more than a few beats. I still felt the touch of my lover’s hand on my body. A smile touched my lips as I remembered the erotic dream.

“I wanted to check with you before I let him in,” Jenna said.

She grasped a hold of my hand and I reluctantly let go of the memory of the dream I just had about Jordan.

“Let who in?” I stifled a yawn.

“Jordan. He said you called and asked him to come over,” she rushed on in a whisper.

I shot up to a sitting position in the bed as I remembered the nightmare that was all too real over the past forty-eight hours.

“Oh God. I look a mess,” I said, hoping that Jenna would disagree with me.

“Well I like the glow on your face and there is a nice pink to your cheeks.”

I cupped my cheeks in my hands and felt the warmth of the blush due to the intense sexual nature of the dream.

She smirked. “If it makes you feel better, he looks worse for the wear, but I imagine you didn’t asked him to come over so that you can critique his appearance.”

I pushed my long auburn hair away from my face and cringed at the now crumpled cotton sundress that I wore.

Jenna was patiently waiting at the side of my bed for my answer.

“Send him in,” I said.

I propped myself on pillows as Jenna opened the door. Jordan was leaning against the doorframe and pulled away when it swung open. David was standing beside him. They were obviously in deep conversation about the situation.

Jordan’s eyes darted toward me. My heart swelled with the feeling of love and admiration I felt for him. His tall lean frame straightened. He was looking intently at me.

I could not miss seeing the shadows beneath his eyes from worry and lack of sleep. His hair was disheveled as if he was constantly raking his hands through the dark blond locks, and his brilliant blue eyes were dim.

I held my hands out to him and Jordan quickly made his way across the room. In one fluid movement he sat on the side of the bed and pulled me into his arms. The feeling of rightness washed over me as I snuggled into the warmth of his body.

I was vaguely aware of the door closing as I reveled in Jordan’s strong embrace. He easily held me to his broad chest. His heartbeat strummed a constant staccato beneath my ear which brought a feeling of serenity to me despite the stressful situation of the past couple days.

Jordan angled his head to one side and tilted my chin up to face him. We stared into each other’s eyes and I was aware of a deep spiritual connection between us. The palm of my hand ran over his chiseled jaw and met with stubbles from two days without shaving.

Jordan leaned his face into my hand and I pulled his head down until our lips locked in a sweet kiss. I flicked my tongue and ran it gently over his mouth and nibbled on his bottom lip. He inhaled slowly as I covered his lips with mine sucking in his exhaled air.

We breathed as one for a few moments before he took over the soulful kiss. Jordan pulled away reluctantly and gazed into my eyes. I lay back on the pillows but kept our fingers entwined as if unable or unwilling to lose the physical contact between us.

“I’m sorry about the stress you have endured over the past few days, Zoe. It was uncalled for and unfair to you.” His lips covered my face with light kisses that sent a delicious tingle over my body.

“My attorneys are dealing with the nursing director from the hospital that leaked the information to Celia. Celia was more than happy to go to the media with incorrect information as a way of getting back at me.”

“She said that I was responsible for her getting transferred and losing her job 10 years ago,” I said.

“Never mind what she said about blaming you. We both know it’s not true. The law will be involved as well due to the breach of confidentiality.” His eyes pleaded with me to understand the unfortunate situation that propelled us into the media spotlight depicting us in a negative way.

“I thought you had betrayed me,” I said, my eyes not leaving his face. “That you were punishing me for avoiding you for the past 10 years. That your pride was wounded and you were seeking some kind of revenge. I’m relieved that none of that is true,” I rushed out to assure him that I now knew the truth.

“It will all be resolved quickly. My media team is working on a news release that will run on all the major news channels about why I purchased several hospitals in different states and the reason for adding rehabilitation wings onto the hospitals. Incidentally, the reporter that broke the story is Celia’s cousin. He was relieved of his job for falsifying reports as soon as I found out.”

“I am so proud of you and what you have done, Jordy. Busy as you are with other aspects of your business, you took time to offer others a place of solace and healing in desperate times in their lives.” I gently squeezed his hands and rubbed my thumbs across his knuckles.

His face remained somber as I expressed my admiration for what he has done and continued to do on a personal level.

“David just found out about the hospitals. What you are doing for these communities, well, it’s admirable and shows what a good person you truly are.” My heart broke with sadness as I was reminded through these acts of kindness that he was honoring the memory of his mother.

“I want to give a little to those less fortunate, and keeping those hospitals open does just that. Many would be without a job if those institutions closed. Patients in need of help would be at a great disadvantage trying to get to another hospital for medical and emergency care.”

“So true. I’m sure so many would lose their pensions and benefits as well.”

“The news release will end with your staffing agency and focus on the incredible job you have done in the greater Houston medical community. By offering hospitals nursing services when their own nurses are sick, take vacation or have other emergencies, you are able to step in, therefore the patient gets uninterrupted medical care.”

“Jordan, I don’t need to prove anything to anyone.”

“You have been active and give generously to food banks and homeless shelters. Only the organizations that you help to support know of your generosity. That will be the highlight of the newscast. Therefore disproving why you would do any underhanded dealings for personal gains.”

“What I do for our community comes from my heart and does not need to be broadcast…”

He silenced me with a light brush of his lips on mine.

“The public will know of the mean-spiritedness of Celia, her aunt and cousin and what they meant to do to your spotless reputation.”

I couldn’t help but notice the change in his demeanor that seemed to be holding off the aggravation he was feeling.

I gently squeezed his hands affirming our concordance in this ordeal. “I don’t need you to fight my battles.”

“I understand and respect that. But this attack was meant to tarnish me as well. In the meantime, I will clear your name from all the untruths.”

“Well, it is not necessary. I can do that, plus I have had incredible support from family, friends, employees and the public. There is, however, the issue of my agency staffing your four hospitals.”

“What about it?” Jordan cocked an eyebrow at me.

“I will withdraw my contract and have my attorney rewrite it.” I saw that he is about to interrupt so I placed a finger over his lips to silence him.

“This is what will happen, Jordan,” I said, giving him no room for argument. “I will provide nurses only in the event that the hospitals are unable to find nursing staff from other agencies.”

“Why the hell would you do that?”

He was not happy about that bit of information, but I would not back down from my decision.

“Let’s not discuss this right now. You are just recovering from a blow to your head and I’m sure you are tired from all the stress,” he said, although I knew he was not about to contend with me walking away from a contract that could indeed benefit my agency and myself financially.

“Waiting to talk about it won’t change my decision. This will happen and I want it in effect as soon as possible.”

“It’s business. Not personal. Your agency was given the opportunity of an exclusive contract. That has nothing to do with us,” he said.

I knew he was right, but I also knew that I would feel better if I didn’t have this issue hanging over my head. It was just not the way I operated and Jordan would have to understand and accept it. I arched my brows at him.

Jordan sighed and placed a kiss on my forehead. “Fine. I will inform my attorney of your decision and change the contract.”

“Good. Plus my new office in San Francisco is getting very busy and I will be making a profit on that end so I won’t be quite as strapped for cash flow. This brings me to another issue. Did you have anything to do with me getting contracts in those hospitals last week?”

“I did not. They were given incorrect information from Celia’s cousin. He forged a note to them saying that I was involved with you, and your agency was seeking contracts in San Francisco. They may have been overly polite to you when you met with them, but ultimately you will be serving their needs with temp nurses. My attorney found out this information and has been in touch with the hospitals. They are sending you a letter stating that your agency’s credentials and reputation was the only reason for them giving you that contract. It had nothing to do with us being together.”
