“Adrian.”

“Oui, Maîtresse?” His voice was husky and choked, exactly like Moira felt.

“In my bag there’s a water bottle and a towel. Bring them to me?”

She watched as he stood a little uncomfortably and brought the items to her. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for an open-mouthed kiss, before pushing him away and turning back to Kara. The whole exercise was turning her on more than she’d expected it to.

Kissing Adrian didn’t help.

She turned back to the water bottle in her hand, trying to focus. It was cold and sweating heavily, drops falling to the bed and onto Kara’s legs. She unscrewed the cap and positioned the towel between Kara’s legs.

Moira swallowed, her throat suddenly dry.

“The other interesting thing about wax, good wax, is that it cools quickly with only a little cold water.”

Moira quickly poured a good dose of the icy water over the wax that covered Kara’s mons and labia. Kara squirmed, gasping loudly, her back arching against the sudden cold. After screwing the top back on, she handed it to Adrian.

“The nice thing about that is that it means it peels off very easily.”

Kara moaned as Moira pulled the wax from between her legs.

Moira wanted to moan. “A perfect mold.” She tossed the now-hard wax next to the candle stub. Her fingertips ran from the inside of Kara’s knee up the inside of her thigh. “I think our Kara’s been a very good girl, don’t you, Adrian?”

“Oui, I think you are right, Maîtresse.”

“Should we reward her?”

“It’s always a good idea to reward a job well done.”

“You did mention that she’s particularly good at a certain trick involving all five fingers.”

Adrian’s eyes flashed, and Kara moaned again.

Moira turned back to the tied sub. “What do you think, Kara?”

“No, Mistress, please…”

Moira hesitated for a moment. No safe word, not even her caution word. Kara wanted it, she could hear it in her voice.
But am I ready for this?

The crop and the candle were one thing. This would be intimate, crossing the line between what she’d do for a client and what she’d do for her own pleasure. It also meant crossing a different line, one she’d never even considered before. Moira took a good long look at Kara’s body, flushed with desire, her skin splattered with wax. She ran her fingers up the inside of Kara’s leg, feeling the flinch and clench of her muscles. Her fingers crept higher, closer to the wet evidence of Kara’s arousal.

She didn’t realize she was licking her lips until Adrian cleared his throat.
I want this.
Moira turned to look at him. “Would you instruct me?”

He smiled, eyes full of hunger. “It’d be my pleasure.” He untied the ankle restraints, tapping Kara’s legs. “Bend your knees, ma chère, there’s a good girl.”

Kara whimpered again. “Please, don’t…”

Moira froze. She swallowed, her throat dry.
Please, don’t…

She didn’t use her safe word. Kara would use her safe word. She would. She was too experienced to think it would stop any other way.

She glanced at Adrian and saw a flash of understanding in his electric green eyes. He nodded ever so slightly and she understood.
He would stop me, if she meant that no.

Moira nodded back and offered her arms, suddenly determined. Adrian smiled and unlaced Moira’s arm guards, sliding them slowly off her. He then opened a side table drawer and handed her a bottle of lube. “You’ll want that. Beaucoup.” He checked her fingernails quickly, nodding. “Bon. Begin with one.”

Moira squeezed a good dollop of lube on her hand and spread it around. She reached out slowly, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. Kara’s breathing was fast, laced with anticipation. Her body squirmed, waiting for Moira’s touch. Moira’s fingers were close enough to feel the heat from Kara’s skin.

Her finger grazed Kara’s labia.

Oh God.
She swallowed as Kara whimpered and shifted, wanting more than an accidental touch.

A part of her couldn’t believe what she was doing, as her fingers traced Kara’s opening. But another part of her felt like it was the most natural thing in the world as her one finger slid gently into the waiting wet heat.

She and Kara gasped together.

Good God in heaven.
Moira took a deep breath, feeling the tight heat around her finger. Was this what it felt like for men?

Adrian came around to stand behind her, his hands on her shoulders. “Move slowly, in and out, and around. Feel her arousal, and how she grows,” he whispered in her ear. “Kara knows what she’s doing. You’ll feel her relax. You’ll know when she is ready for more.”

Moira closed her eyes and did as she was told, until Kara made a small noise of pleasure, and Moira realized what she was missing. She opened her eyes and worked her finger harder before inserting a second.

She felt along the soft heat of Kara’s inner walls, teasing in and around, wishing someone had a finger or two in her as well. The sound of Kara’s breath shuddering as she fought to stay relaxed only made her more aroused.

Moira pushed in a third finger with a sigh of her own. The look of intense concentration warring with desire on Kara’s face, combined with the heat of Adrian’s body behind her, almost made Moira forget what she was doing. It was Adrian’s voice that kept her focused.

“Ride the energy, mon ange noir. More lube, and when you’re ready, slide in the next.” His voice, deep and husky with arousal, whispered through her core.

Moira poured on more lube that she didn’t really need and pushed in her fourth finger as Kara moaned.

“Feel her tightness, Maîtresse. Gently work her wider and deeper.”

Adrian’s voice continued to coach her, until her thumb joined her fingers, and finally her whole fist. Moira’s free hand clenched tightly on Kara’s raised knee at the sensation of tight heat around her fist, slowly making room, until the fit was perfect. Moira wanted to sob at the sound of Kara’s gasping supplications.

“Please, oh God. God, please, Mistress. Please, may I move? May I come?”

Moira smiled almost painfully.
God, yes, please.
She wasn’t sure what had her turned on more, her hand buried deep in Kara’s heat or the way she begged for release. A husky voice that didn’t sound like her own answered. “You may.”

Kara tilted her hips, taking Moira’s hand slightly deeper, and screamed as her climax rocked through her. Moira held on for dear life as muscles compressed around her hand again and again. When Kara lay quiet again, she slowly unfolded her fist pulled it out.

Adrian’s breath brushed the back of her neck as she used the damp towel to clean herself off. “And how do you feel, mon ange noir?”

Moira shook her head, dazed. “So fucking aroused it’s painful.”

Adrian chuckled. “I do believe I know exactly how you feel. What do you want?”

“I want…” She hesitated, not sure she wanted to give voice to the desire.

Adrian’s lips closed on the back of her neck. “You are la Maîtresse. There have been no safe words used. Unless you’re about to use your own…”

“No,” she whispered.

“Then take what you want, Maîtresse.”

Moira spun, kissing Adrian hard. Her tongue swept in and out of his mouth while her hands pulled at his neck and shoulders. When she pulled away, it was as abruptly as when she’d turned. She looked at him hard for a moment, feeling the heat in his gaze, and pulled him down to her again.

The words she whispered were barely audible.

“I want you both.”

Those four words were all it took to turn his green gaze electric and set his hands in motion. As his clothes hit the floor, she turned back to crawl on the bed.

Moira inched forward until she was right next to Kara’s head. “I want you to be completely honest, Kara.”

Kara stirred from her pleasured stupor. “Yes, Mistress.”

Moira hesitated and leaned a fraction closer, so that her lips were almost touching Kara’s skin. She wished for half a second that Kara wasn’t blindfolded, but was also glad of it. Moira wasn’t sure what answers she’d find in Kara’s eyes. Better to simply ask.

Still, she took a slow breath, her soul heavy with the question.

“Have you ever wanted me?”

The silence lasted an eternity, and a single moment.

“Yes.”

Moira ignored the strangeness in her chest and ran her finger along Kara’s jaw. A slight pressure turned her head, and very slowly, Moira did something she never thought she’d do.

She kissed her best friend.

It built slowly, as familiar sensations became new again, until their tongues danced together with a rising hunger. Softer lips, a more tender need, but still the same. Moira’s hands brushed down Kara’s body, sliding over the skin-warm wax.

When Moira finally broke their kiss, sliding her lips lower, Kara began to beg.

“Please, Mistress. The blindfold. Please.” She sucked in a breath as Moira removed a clump of wax so that she could suck at her nipple. “Oh God. Please take off the blindfold.”

Moira laughed and slowly pulled off the blindfold. Kara’s eyes flashed. Moira grinned, hiked up her dress and mounted Kara, intertwining their legs. She bit her bottom lip as she rocked her hips hard against Kara’s.

It was…different. And amazing. She experimented with angles, grinding her hips and pubic bone as Kara moved with her. Moira slid her hands up Kara’s body until her fingertips wrapped around wax-speckled breasts, her hips never stopping. She pinched and twisted at Kara’s nipples, rocking against her until she was gasping, her back arching and hands clenching against the restraints.

Moira bent and kissed her best friend again, drawing her tongue into her mouth and nipping her lips, and then sat up and turned her head. Her voice sounded breathy in her ears. “Adrian? My boots. And then behind me, please.”

“Oui, Maîtresse.” He unzipped Moira’s boots and stripped them off her, and then knelt between Kara’s knees, wrapping his arms around Moira. “May I?” He pulled at her dress.

Moira nodded, and Adrian’s fingers slid the zipper down and pulled the leather dress over her head.

“Maîtresse, no undergarments? I’m impressed.”

“I thought you’d like that.” She bent down and kissed Kara a third time. “I suppose you’d like your hands.”

“God, yes please, Mistress.”

Moira reached up and slipped the rope cuffs off. She placed a hand on either side of Kara’s head and glanced behind her. “I want you inside me, Adrian.”

Adrian grabbed her hips without a word and thrust into her, pressing her hips against Kara’s. He rocked them all together twice, and then all her attention turned to Kara, even as he drove harder into her. Three sets of hands roamed and clenched. Moira and Kara kissed with abandon as Adrian’s thrusts rocked them closer together. Adrian’s lips and teeth grazed over Moira’s skin.

It was an assault on the senses. Nothing went untouched, untasted. It was too much to hold in. The pleasure crashed over Moira so hard she thought she’d black out. Kara followed a moment later, her body wrapped around Moira’s. Her moaning screams sent Adrian into a shuddering release, leaving them all panting and sated.

Chapter Fourteen

Moira woke confused, to darkness and heavy weight pinning her on both sides. Familiar panic was already settling in before she recognized that her hands weren’t tied, that the weight wasn’t a single body, but two. That the silky curtain covering her stomach was an auburn cascade belonging to her best friend, whose head was pillowed on her naked breast, and the very masculine arm that held her waist belonged not to the attacker of her nightmares, but Adrian.

And then a different panic set in, one that had nothing to do with her past, and everything to do with fucking her best friend. Her best girl friend.

Oh God.

Her heart began to race as the implications ran through her mind. She’d just slept with her best friend. In a threesome.

And God, it had been good.

But what if Kara didn’t think so? What if… What if she lost her?

Her lungs felt too tight. She pried herself out from between the two of them, trying not to wake them, but desperate for space.

Kara had always been the one solid thing in her life. Kara, whose perfect family and perfect life should have made Moira jealous beyond words. Instead, Kara shared everything, had been there for her when no one else had. She’d put up with her dysfunctional family, her nightmares and inability to escape the past, had accepted her without a word, without hesitation.

Please don’t let me have screwed this up.

I should never have done this.

What if she hates me? What if there’s no going back?

Sex changed things. A million scenarios ran through Moira’s head as she quickly dressed.
Air. I need air. I need to go home.
What if Kara expected more than she could give? What if Moira wanted things Kara didn’t? What if it changed everything?

Of course it would change everything. How could it not? She’d had the best sex of her life. With her best friend. Sex was the death knell for friendships. What if she hadn’t liked it?

What if she had?

It wasn’t like they could all simply pretend it hadn’t happened.

I can’t live without my best friend. I can’t.

What if, what if, what if… Why hadn’t she thought this through more? Why hadn’t she asked for time to think it through? The cold night air was a shock as Moira tumbled out of Adrian’s house. It felt good, but it didn’t clear her head like she’d hoped.

And as she ran home, Moira wondered if anything would.

The next morning, Moira sat staring at her phone again. The text hadn’t changed, and well, it wouldn’t have, would it? It stared back at her, waiting for a response.

Where did you go?

She’d thought of a hundred answers to Kara’s question.

Home.

I have work, remember?

I needed to go.

I never stay the night at Adrian’s.

She hadn’t sent any of them. It’s not that any were a lie. They all contained a part of the truth. She did go home. She did have work, although she’d called in, saying something important had come up, a family emergency. Another half truth.

The real truth was that she’d panicked. She’d panicked and run.

Moira sighed and let her head fall back into the sofa, only to shoot back up as a swift pounding came from the door.

Kara walked in without waiting. “Please God, tell me that’s coffee I smell.”

Moira smiled. “Kitchen.”

Kara made a beeline for the coffee machine while Moira settled back in on her couch, sipping from her own mug. Kara joined her a minute later, dropping down hard next to her.

“Thank God for coffee.” She took a long drink and then set the mug down. “You freaked out, didn’t you?”

Moira fidgeted with her mug and didn’t look at her friend.

“Moira?”

She didn’t answer, and she didn’t look up.

“Please talk to me, hon.”

Moira took a deep breath. “I don’t know what to say.”

Kara took her hand, setting her coffee mug down. “Oh honey. Do you regret it?”

Moira smiled despite herself and felt her face turn red. “No. I don’t regret it.”

“That’s good, because last night was one of the most fucking awesome nights of my life.”

Moira finally looked up at that. “Yeah?”

Kara gave her a full-watt smile and squeezed her hand. “Yeah, Moira. It was. Damn good sex too, but hon, you’re my best friend. First, last and always. That makes it mean more.”

“I don’t want it to change things between us. I mean, obviously it changes things. But you’re my oldest and best friend. You’ve seen me through everything, the only one who’s always been there. I can’t lose that.”

“It doesn’t have to change anything that matters. You’re still my friend before everything.”

Moira crumbled into Kara’s arms. “Oh God, thank you. I woke up in the middle of the night, sandwiched between you two, and had a mental breakdown.”

Kara laughed. “As long as you didn’t wake up and have a ‘what the fuck did I do’ moment, we’re all good. I mean, you had fun, right?”

Moira sat up, blushing and grinning. “It was… Wow, Kara. I had no idea.”

“Yeah.” Kara grinned. “As long as you don’t feel like it was a mistake, that’s all that matters.” She paused and then continued. “I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when Adrian approached me. But if you were going to make that jump, I didn’t want it to be with some other girl, one who didn’t know you. I wanted it to be with someone you trusted.”

Moira smiled. “I’m glad.” And she was. In some ways a stranger might have been easier, but a part of her couldn’t imagine such an amazing experience happening with anyone else. “Was it…? I mean, did you…?” She felt flustered, all over again, until Kara’s arms tightened around her.

“Was it good for me? Oh honey. It was amazing. You were amazing. Fucking hottest thing I’ve seen in a long time.”

Moira hugged her back. “God, I love you, Kara. I don’t deserve you.”

“Shut the fuck up. You deserve all the good things. We both do. So don’t you even dare think that.”

Moira laughed. “Yes, ma’am.” She picked her coffee back up and sipped at it, then grimaced. “Ugh. Cold coffee sucks. So, now what?”

Kara stood up and held out her hand. “Now we check the ‘with benefits’ box on our friendship, and go find someplace morbidly expensive to get lunch. My treat. You are playing hooky, after all. We have to do something.” She glanced down at her clothes, the same ones she’d worn to Adrian’s the night before. “After we stop at my place, so I can change.”

“The ‘with benefits’ box, huh? So that means I really can beat your ass anytime I want?”

Kara laughed. “Well, you’ve been threatening to for weeks. It was honestly about time you followed through.” She put her arm around Moira’s shoulders and steered her to her bedroom. “But yes, that’s what it means. Now go get dressed before I decide to beg for another round.”
