“You do know that Darius and Solange are seeing each other don’t you?”
asked Nathan finally abandoning his inner struggle not to resort to lies. He had to nail this issue shut. “They’ve been going out together even longer than we have. He’s already moved on so why are you fighting us? It’s not as though there’s a future for you there. In fact, she was very excited about meeting him for dinner tonight,” said Nathan fighting to keep the growing hatred he had for Darius out of his voice.

Darius was never the
kind of man to cheat, thought Candasee, but who knew how much he’d changed in the two years they were apart. After all, she did see her kiss him just this evening for the second time! Candasee closed her eyes so that Nathan wouldn’t see how much what he said affected her! Darius had played on her vulnerabilities this morning on the beach and he was probably laughing at her now. Why would he ask her to come to him this evening to talk, if he also planned to see Solange as well? What did he have to gain by playing with her mind like this? He always had a competitive streak but just to mess with her relationship with Nathan when he had no intention of doing anything about it was unforgiveable. It was time that she stopped pining and waiting for him to come back to her.

“I don’t care about any of that Nathan. He is just as free to live his life as I am,” she said instinctively
tiptoeing to close the distance between their lips, to show him how serious she was. She was going to purge Darius out of her system and she was going to do it now!

“Prove it to me!” Nathan challenged
picking her up and wrapping her legs around his hips. As he did, he ground his hips against her so she would have no mistake as to what he needed.

Before he could draw another breath
, she slanted her mouth across his, slowly tracing his bottom lip with her tongue before pressing her lips fully against his. She had to prove to this man that he was the one she really wanted and that she was finally ready to let go of everything she made herself think was real. She slid her tongue into his mouth and began devouring him with as much passion and heated desire as she could muster. Nathan did not hesitate to return her kiss and his tongue became demanding, probing and exploring her mouth with persistence and greed that he felt to his core.

He was way past being gentle or understanding now. She was the one he wanted and he would remove every single trace of that man from Candasee’s memory if it was the last thing he did
today. Everyone in his family thought he’d lost his mind by hiring her, a dancer without a degree. But, from the first moment he laid eyes on her, he’d claimed her as his. He’d waited so long to hear those words from Candasee that he could have almost wept with joy. He brushed aside the nagging thought that it took him deceiving her to get her to this point. Right now he didn’t care. She was finally, willingly giving all of herself to him but if they did this, she had to understand that there would be no turning back.

“
Candasee, if I make love to you now I claim you as mine. No other man touches you or has a spot in your heart besides me. I’m not going to share you with anyone and I’m never, ever going to let you go. Every memory you have of your past, I want you to leave it behind you for good. Do you understand what I am asking of you?”

“My complete surrender Nathan,”

“Do I have it?”

“Yes, you have it!” Candasee replied breathlessly. This was the right thing to do. They were perfect for each other.

Nathan slid her slowly down his body and held her hand as he led her over to the side of the bed.

“Take off your clothes for me,
love. I want to see all of you.  I don’t want anything between us anymore,” he demanded roughly. Candasee slipped of her camisole and shorts and finally her panties and stood before Nathan and he gazed at her hungrily.

“Candee, you are more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. Are you really mine?”

“Yes Nathan, I’m yours,” she whispered feeling a tug of betrayal in her heart even as she spoke. She forced it away quickly.

Only she and Dave thought it was a mistake to add her to the program.

Besides that
, everything else seemed to be in place for tomorrow’s meeting. It was nine thirty and they’d finalized the list earlier than expected. It actually seemed that they would get some rest before the meeting in the morning.

“Come let’s get some ice-cream before we go back upstairs,” said Nathan suddenly. Sometimes he reminded her of her eight year old cousins back at home with his boundless energy.

“Sure, I could stand to gain a few pounds after this week,” Candasee agreed.

They ordered tall vanilla sundaes covered in fudge, caramel, chocolate sauce whipped cream and nuts and went to sit beside the pool.

“Let’s share a deck chair. These things are big enough for two,” Nathan suggested and Candasee sat beside him and all that could be heard for a few moments were the collective sighs and mmm’s of enjoyment. They placed their empty glasses on the table beside them and then Nathan shifted Candasee so that she was seated between his legs. She rested her head against his chest as he wrapped his arms around her and they looked at the stars.

“When this intensive is done, let’s take another trip, this time just you and me,” said Nathan
thoughtfully.

“Another trip? But what about the academy
, won’t you need to prepare for the upcoming term?”

“The academy will be on holiday for another two weeks and I think I can skip about five of those days to get some rest. I want you to come with me
.”

“Where did you have in mind?”

“I’ve always wanted to visit somewhere with mountains and snow. You know, where it’s not as tropical as we are accustomed to.”

“Uh, I don’t know how enjoyable it will be to spend five days freezing?” Candasee laughed in response.

“ Ah, but you see it will give me all the excuses I need to offer you my body heat all day and all night long,” he said nibbling her earlobe gently.

Candasee felt her body relax as Nathan’s warmth surrounded her body. His breath was warm against her cheek and a warm current flowed between them.

“You don’t need an excuse to offer me your body heat, you know,” she flirted back and she stifled a laugh as he paused and she heard a rumble of pleasure from his chest.

“So is that a yes then? Can
I go ahead and surprise you with a cold destination of my choice?” he asked.

“Yes, I’d love to go with you. I think when
all this work is over we will need a vacation to recover,” she laughed.

Candasee saw them together even after this intensive was over which meant that she had no intention of hooking up with Darius again.
He still couldn’t get over what they’d shared a few hours earlier, the most mind-blowing sex in his life.

“Promise
me?”

“Of course, why do you ask?”

“I just love the idea of us having plans together beyond this week,”

“Nathan
we’ll be making plans together for the rest of our lives,”

Nathan tightened his grip around Candasee as he let go a loud whoop!

“You might want to loosen your grip if you don’t want to strangle me,” Candasee laughed. He had such a rich tone to his laughter that she never got tired of hearing. It was such a long time since she’d made any man happy and it felt good.

“You do know that you’ll never be able to get rid of me now?”

“I don’t want to get rid of you at all!” she confessed.
Darius and I are over she thought, over for good this time!

She looked
so beautiful in the moonlight and with the reflection of the water from the pool dancing like tiny lights across her skin. She was his and he wanted the entire hotel to know it, especially Darius.

“Good, because I’ve been dying to do this all night!”

Unable to resist the temptation of her lips any longer, he

Now that

“Candasee, I want all of you tonight
again! You have possessed me,” he almost growled.
