SEXPERT: Bring your company, she can have a spare room. Need to see you.

Pink Lady: Sorry, HE wouldn’t go for that.

SEXPERT: HE???

Pink Lady: Yeah, it’s a boy, and we’re almost ready to leave for my place.

SEXPERT: PITY: I guess I’ll just have to entertain myself some other way.

Pink Lady: You’ve managed this long without me, I’m sure you’re resourceful.

Alfie didn’t reply after that and I checked the other two texts.

Holly: gone to Brett’s, mwah!

Unknown: This is Max. Saffy punched your number in my phone in case we all got lost. Do you want to get a late dinner? Max.

I smiled and text back: Please, I’m starving, give me ten minutes.

I packed up and said my goodbyes. Max and I took a cab back to the condo. “I’m starving, do you know somewhere to eat or do you want to order in?”

I nodded.
“There’s a place near here that’s open late. We can walk to it,” I said while searching in my purse for the keys to my apartment to make sure I had them.

Max and I
chatted about old times and our years apart melted away. He stared at me a few times, and there were a couple of intense moments where I was the one to look away, but after a while we were completely comfortable with each other.

When Max was talking
about our past, a stray lock of hair fell across his forehead. I instantly leaned over and brushed it away. Max caught my hand, drew a breath, and smiled. He held my gaze with his, let my hand go, and looked away.

CHAPTER 18: OLD FLAMES

As we sat drinking wine, feeling mellow, Max’s questions became more personal. “Are you seeing anyone Lily?”
Alfie doesn’t count.

No.”

He smirked and raised an eyebrow. “Are you kidding m
e, why not?” he asked surprised

There was no way I could tell him about Alfie so I said, “There was someone briefly, but it didn’t come to anything.” I wanted to shift the spotlight from me. “What about you Max, I bet the ladies are falling over you.”

Well! Yeah they are.” He chuckled truthfully. “But I’m too picky, I guess, and I got bored of one-night stands.”

Max was completely comfortable
talking about this. “Tell me about your, didn’t-come-to-anything-guy.” He smiled.

“There’s nothing to tell really, other than he doesn’t do serious relationships.

Max bunched his brows. “Is the guy nuts?”

I shrugged not wanting to get into it again. “Anyway, he moved on
, and I got my shit together with Will. We’ve had no real time for socializing since, until tonight.”

We
started talking about our common love of music, and it was like the last four years melted away. We had a long history as friends. While he was talking I drew my fingers up my wine glass. I dipped my middle finger briefly in my wine and circled it around the rim of the glass, making a tune.

Max reached over and took
my hand in his, lacing his fingers through mine. “Sorry honey, you can’t do that with your finger, it’s turning me on.” I giggled at him, thinking that he was just being funny. When I met his gaze, though, his eyes were darker in color, and his sensual stare made me see he was completely serious.

He gestured at our hands. “Remember when we used to do this when we talked at night in the camper van?

I smiled, I did. “
Yeah, I do, Max.”

He went on, “I can tell you now, I thought I’d never felt hands so soft and delicate, and that you were my little angel.”

I smiled wrinkling my nose at him. “Aww.”

He lifted my hand and kissed it gently.
I felt a small thrill ran throughout my body. I looked at Max and sighed. “We should head home. I need my bed.”

Max muttered what I thought was
, “Me too.”

However,
when I looked at him, he smiled like he hadn’t said anything out of place, and I thought I’d misheard him. Max looked gorgeous in his red shirt and easy fit jeans. The red color suited his skin tone, his dark tan and blond hair made him look striking.

He caught me looking at him and smiled slowly, signaling to our waiter for
the check. He glanced at it, and threw some folded bills into the wallet. We walked along the dark road, heading back toward the lights of the condo building.

Max
leaned in and automatically threw his arm around me. I tensed initially, but he smiled and started rubbing my arm as he chatted. I lifted my hand to meet his and we clasped our fingers together again. “We used to do this too.” He grinned gesturing at our hands. He was still smiling as he tilted his head toward the sky and inhaled deeply.

Neither Max, nor I changed our
position as we entered the building and walked over to the elevator. He felt safe to me, but I had butterflies at the same time. This was everything I’d ever dreamed of as a young teenager with him. When the elevator car arrived I was nervous at what might happen now though.

On the way up,
I began to talk about the beach, but Max puts a finger up to my mouth. “Shush.” I stared at him. “I want to kiss you.” He smiled crookedly. Bringing his hand up, he took my chin between his index finger and thumb, tilting my face up to him. Our eyes met and I smiled back.

“You used to kiss me all the time, Max.”

He gazed into my eyes and his voice became huskier. “Hell, I used to kiss you like a brother. This kiss will definitely not be like that.” I swallowed hard, and

I wet my lips subconsciously, but became conscious I was doing it, and felt myself blush.

I wanted this too
. I had always wanted Max to kiss me properly not just a peck on the cheek. My mind was in conflict, though, because of my slutty behavior with Sam and Alfie. The timing sucked, but I knew I may never get the chance to experience a kiss with Max again if I rejected him.

My eyes searched his.
“Okay, if it feels weird we could stop… no awkwardness… deal?” I wrinkled my nose, and he smiled broadly.

He licked his lips and came toward me. He moved his lips back and forth on mine before pressing them to my mouth with more pressure.

Max’s hands slid around the small of my back, and moved up to my ribs, before he stroked downwards, toward my belly. He pushed me against the wall. I kissed him back, and he murmured, “Oh God.” An intense heat grew between us, and I was moist between my legs.

His hands traveled up to the sides of my face, caressing my chin on both sides. He put his hand on the back of my
head, pulling me into him as his tongue probed deeper into my mouth. Our breathing was ragged and hurried now. It left me breathless.

The elevator dinged its arrival at
my floor, and he rushed me out backwards, pinning me against the wall in the hallway. He pushed one leg between my thighs, his body flush with mine, and I felt his hard cock straining against his pants.

Feeling the friction between his pant leg and my bare skin was sensational. I felt so guilty doing this, but I felt helpless to stop it, because I wanted this to happen at the same time.

I slipped my hands up inside his t-shirt and felt a wall of solid muscle. As I slid my hands around his back, he shuddered and jerked, before moving his mouth to my neck.

This was going way too fast for me. I needed time to think. I pushed him away and tried to collect
my feelings, taking my time finding my keys in my purse. I glanced up, and Max was looking at me like he was going to rip my clothes off.

I tried to slow things down a little. “Hey, well, I think we can say no worries to the awkward kissing thing
. You can check that off the list.” I sounded casual, but my heart was racing.

Max grinned and nodded, and I thought I had taken the heat out of the moment. I figured once we’d thought about it, we’d tell each other that it wouldn’t be a good idea.

I got my keys out and started to open the door. As soon as he heard the latch click Max pushed me through the door, banged it behind him, and pushed me gently back toward the couch.

His hands glided up
my thighs and under my dress before I could stop him, and he stalled in surprise. His face was registering shock. “No fucking panties, Lily?”

I blushed, more than a little embarrassed.

“They were visible under this dress
.” I shrugged, and he raised an eyebrow.

Max began slipping my dress up,
and I grabbed his wrist. “Stop!”

I can’t,” he murmured near my mouth. He lifted it over my head, then free of my arms.

I still couldn’t believe we were actually doing this.

“Love the delicate lace on your bra,” he murmured as his thumbs ran briefly over my breasts before he reached around and unclipped it.

My breath hitched. He stroked around my belly and breasts, curled my nipples between his fingers and thumbs, kissed them, sucked them, and pulled them together, wobbling them. I laughed.

His appreciation turned me on, and his touch was making me want more than just messing with him like this. I didn’t really believe that we’d actually have sex though.

I pulled Max’s
t-shirt off, and he drew himself down the length of my front, skin to skin. I shivered with delight, and I raked my fingernails lightly down his back. “I can’t believe I’m making out with you,” Max cooed.

He smiled and kissed me from my neck all the way down to my mound. I tensed and moved away a tad. This was going beyond making out. He frowned, but slid his hands up the back of my legs before they moved to my inner thighs and push
ed my legs apart. I didn’t stop him.

He blew lightly on my sensitive flesh, then lightly licked and flicked my clitoris with his tongue.
Max had a lighter touch than I’d experienced before. The sensation he was giving me was so erotic and sensual though.

My juices were flowing, running down the crease of sex. My skin flushed from the heat he was generating in me as my body hummed. I knew this wasn’t going to stop short of us having sex.

He spread my legs wider, resting his head on one thigh and explored my sex, “You’re really very pink and swollen down here, honey, does this mean you want me?” He smirked and I blushed, which turned into me laughing with embarrassment, as I tried to squeeze my legs closed.

Max
held me in position and smiled. “Not funny Lily, I want to see you.” His finger skimmed the length of my slit. “Damn, so slick, so ready,” he growled as he hugged me again.

I covered my hand with my face too embarrassed by his comment. Max slipped a finger inside me gently. I moaned and he pulled it back out to look at it. “Fuck. Look,” he hissed, showing me his finger
 glistening.

He ran it
along his lips, then slipped his finger back in and curved it, pulled it out again and then sucked it. It was so erotic to watch. “Damn, you smell sexy.” His voice sounded as if he was fighting to control himself.

I was in denial that this was actually happening because of our innocent history. That ‘my Max’ was talking to me this way.

He kissed my mouth again, thrusting his tongue deep, making me moan,  “Oh God.”

Trailing down my belly, he made little gentle kisses, talking in a whisper. I had to concentrate to hear what he was telling me.
“I…want…you…so…fucking…badly.”

He
buried his tongue deep inside me letting out a low moan into my wet heat, which reverberated through my body. “Shit.” It tickled.

“I want you inside me Max.”

His head whipped up. “Did you say that or was that my fantasy thinking out loud?” I smirked.

“You didn’t imagine it.” I giggled and shook my head, shyly. He spread my folds and drew his tongue from my clit down until he stuck his tongue in me and sucked hard on my clit again. The sensation was incredible.

He replaced his mouth with two fingers inside as he gazed up at me. “Say it again. I want to see you say it.”

I swallowed hard. I had no reservations by now. “Fuck me, Max.”

He grinned wickedly. “Fucking Hot Lily, but…nope.” He chuckled and began flicking my clitoris, first with his thumb, then his tongue again.

“Fuck me, Max.” I was beginning to get frustrated with him.

He pulled his head back to look at me again, smirking wickedly. “Actually Lily, I know you were brought up better than that. Where are your manners?”

“Please fuck me Max!” I whimpered.

Max stood suddenly. “Yes, ma’am!” He smiled and saluted, pulling his pants off. “Oh shit! I don’t have any condoms. I didn’t expect to get laid on this trip!” Max looked worried.

“There
are some in the left nightstand drawer,” I said hurriedly. Max ran off to get them and was already sheathing himself as he walked back.

“Wait
… You have condoms in your bedside drawer?” Then added quickly, “Don’t answer that, we’ll deal with that later.”

I reached to touch his cock. “Nah, you can’t touch it right now
. If you do, I’ll blow before we get down to it. See what you do to me girl,” he growled.

Max lifted me up and sat on the couch, pulling me over to straddle him. He stroked my back, staring at my body, cupped my breasts, and weighed them again between his hands. His beautiful brown eyes searched my face. There was no mistaking how he was feeling.

He stroked my hair gently while he studied me, and wriggled down the sofa. He lifted me above his straining cock, slowly lowering me on to him. His eyes closed and he groaned, “So fucking tight.”

He
held my ass in the palms of his hands and bounced me gently at first as his thrusts became deeper. He opened his eyes and smiled slowly. “You always used to rib me for being bossy Lily, go on you take charge. I’ll let you ride me, then, and if you’re good, I’ll return the favor.”

He lowered me to sit across his
lap, and I rocked myself back and forth, rolling my hips on him. Max had one hand on my hips supporting me, the other trailing between my breasts, his chin tilting up now and again when he sought eye contact.

I changed the rhythm and started gyrating in a circular pattern on him, then lifted my legs into a kneeling position feeling the length of him leave me and taking him back inside.

I started rocking back and forth again, the friction from his pubic bone rubbed my clitoris. I moaned loudly. “Fucking incredible. Damn, Lily,” growled Max, his face twisted with the pleasure he was feeling. He moved his palms to cradle my ass cheeks again, and started bouncing me on him and thrusting upwards. His tempo increased as he thrust into me.
