DERRICK JENSEN
is the acclaimed author of
A Language Older Than Words
and
The Culture of Make Believe
, among many others. Author, teacher, activist, small farmer, and leading voice of uncompromising dissent, he regularly stirs auditoriums across the country with revolutionary spirit. Jensen lives in Northern California and organizes on issues surrounding deforestation, dam removal, restoration of habitat for salmon and other fish, habitat improvement for amphibians, the promotion of organic farms, and the preservation of family farms. He holds a degree in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University, a degree in Mineral Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, and has taught at Eastern Washington University and Pelican Bay State Prison.
