Meeka
was
still
laughing.
“Well,
what

Kerrigan
rolled
his

Y

O

things

is
to
have pillow
fights.
We
still
have
feathers
lining
half
the
cupboards
in
this
place.
Threeo,
don’t

the

Threeo

and

Threeo

chuckled.
“Sorr

Kerrigan.
Threeo’s
not
kidding.”

delicious,
and
with
a

she
could
feel
exhaustion
tugging
at
her control.
Only
after
the
second
nod
did
she
glance
around,
hoping
no
one
had
seen
her

slip. Sighing
sleepi

,
she
leaned
against Kerrigan’s shoulder, her breathing
evening out. Kerrigan got up
from
the
table,
pulling
her
chair
out.

Co

Meeka.
Y

She

herself
up.

Then
I’ll
rest.” “I’ll
help
Mom
clean
up,”
Kerrigan
stated.

“You

With
a

Kerrigan
helped
her
up.
He
wrapped
an
arm
around
her
shoulders
and pulled
her
flush
against
his
hard
length.

“Thank
y

,
Padd

.”
Meeka
turned
as
he
herded
her
toward
the
door.
S
he
wallowed
in
the war
m
th
of
his
touch,
the
caring
she
felt
as
his
fingers
brushed
against
her
lower
back.

Kerrigan walked
with her up a
few
flights
of stairs
and
then turned
a corner.
They continued d

the
hall and
up
a
few
m

to
his
bedroo

.

He
opened
the
door.
“Go
to
bed,
Meeka.”

Meeka
looked
around
his
roo

feeling
unco

his
bed.

Kerrigan,
I
don’t need
to
take

can
sleep
on
the
sofa.”
S
he
turned
to
leave.

Before
she
took
two

Kerrigan
scooped
her
up
and
carried
her
to
his
bed.

her.
S
he
knew
he
would
feel
it,
too.
Meeka looked
up
into
his
face,
but
he
kept
his
chin
held
high.
His
e

es
focused
away
from
her.
She wanted
him
so
badly
the

she
felt
in
her
m

from
fighting. Why
didn’t
he
want
her?

“Close

Meeka.”

She
couldn’t
resist
the
plaintive
whisper.
Her
clothing
disappeared
and
p

replaced the

S
he
opened
her

to
find
him
staring

at
her.
He
did
want
her!
She
could
see
it
in his
e

es. She
reached
up
and
traced
the
outline
of
his
lips
with
her
finger.

A
groan
escaped
his

Gentl

,
she
placed
her
hand
around
the
back
of
his
neck,
pulled
his
m
outh
to
hers,
and outlined
his
lips
with
her
tongue.
M
eeka
pulled
back,
hearing
him
growl
as
he
pushed
her
back, pinning
her
to
the
bed.
His
m
outh
captured
hers
in
a
de

kiss.
The
gentleness
was
gone, replaced
b

raging
desire.
Pleasure

through
her

as
his
tongue
plunged
into
her
m
outh.

Her
hands
were
tangled
in his hair, urgent
l
y holding him
close, when he
swore
quiet
l
y under his
breath
and
pulled
away
from
her.

“I
can’t
keep
doing
this.
I
won’t
alw

able
to control

stood
up
with
his
fists clenched.
“I
want
y

,
nothing
will
stop
m

He
let
out
a
fr

groan. “Especial

Meeka
final

found
her
voice.
“I

Kerrigan,

I’ve

in
