“Good. The only reason I’m not balls deep inside you right this second is that you’re a lady and I’m going to treat you as such.” He kissed her lips lightly. Then, he picked her up and off his straining dick. “Tell you what. I leave on Monday; but, if you’d like, we can hang out at my place tomorrow night.”

“Okay.”

“Let’s go back, then.” He took her hand and walked with her back to the truck. Before he started the engine, they exchanged cellphone numbers. As they drove back to the dig, each were lost in thought. Ria went over the night’s happenings. She’d enjoyed everything. If anything, her only regret was that he hadn’t fucked her. She’d been ready. Her body ached to feel his weight. Jay, for his part, allowed himself to enjoy the way his body stayed hard around her. He was happy that tomorrow night would be here soon. It couldn’t come fast enough for him.

CHAPTER SIX

When she arrived back at the dig, Annie was still up
. She anxiously awaited details of her friend’s date.

“Did he fuck you?”

Annie was usually forthright, but it was a question she had not expected. At least, not as the first one or as direct.

“Wow, no sugar coating with that question.”

“Stop stalling! What are you, a politician? Did… he… fuck… you?”

In the end, Annie managed to wheedle out every detail of their evening, including details of the size of his cock.

“Did you see it?”

“No.”

“How big would you say it was? Ron Jeremy size? John Holmes?”

“Who are they?”

Sometimes Annie was amazed at how sheltered her friend’s upbringing had been. She had to be satisfied with, “It was big. Very big.”

When Annie finally allowed her to go to sleep, Ria drifted off quickly. She still had a smile on her lips.

By morning, her feeling of happiness had disappeared. She worried that she let a complete stranger touch her intimately. More importantly, she was concerned that she was starting to get involved. When he called at lunchtime to confirm their evening date, she recognized his number. Before answering, she handed her phone to Annie. She told her to tell Jay that she was unavailable to talk.

An hour later, she was cleaning off an artifact with a small, soft brush. She heard a sound behind her. Warily, she started to turn around. She wondered what sort of wild animal she would face. There were coyotes and mountain lions in the area. She’d seen one of the latter the previous week. She was concerned, particularly since none of her fellow workers were nearby.

It wasn’t a mountain lion or even a coyote; however, the creature behind her was just as dangerous. Jay stood there. His stance, a soldier at ease. His eyes unreadable. His face hard. She swallowed and stood stock still. She held the delicate find in her hand like a shield.

“Hi,” she said when it appeared he wasn’t going to initiate the conversation. He didn’t answer. He just came closer. He looked threatening and she backed up a little. “What...what are you doing here?”

He continued to study her. His eyes still hooded and his lips taut. She started to worry. He’d been nice to her so far, but his demeanor didn’t indicate
nice
was part of his current agenda. Finally, he spoke and said, “Do I look like the kinda guy you brush off with a message through a friend?”

Ria swallowed again. She gripped the artifact in her hand so hard she worried it was going to break.

“I...I’m sorry. I was busy,” she ended lamely. She didn’t know how to lie in the face of his anger.

“And I guess I have nothing better to do than waste my time calling you, huh?”

His tone was as hard as his face. Despite her fear, Ria felt the stirrings of her own irritation.

“I don’t recall promising anything,” she said with asperity. “Look, we hardly know each other. When I had chance to think about it, I was just uncomfortable with what happened last night. I’m not the sort of person who picks up strangers in clubs.”

“Last I checked, I was the one doing the picking up,” he snapped, as though it mattered who started it. “If you don’t want to see me again, at least have the courtesy to tell me to my face. Don’t get your girlfriend to do your dirty work for you.”

“I didn’t say I didn’t want to see you again!” she protested.

“No, you got her to say you were unavailable.” He reiterated the words she told Annie to relay to him. “So, were you going to wait until I showed up here this evening to turn me down?”

He was right in front of her by now. The faint sheen of sweat on his nose and upper lip distracted her. She didn’t know whether she wanted to suck his lip into her mouth or punch him in the arm for suggesting she had been rude to him. The worst of it was, he was right.

“I’m sorry, Jay, okay?” She suddenly felt like crying. She closed her eyes to stop her emotions from welling over. “I apologize for being rude. I’m just...” Her voice trailed off.

“Scared?” he finished her sentence for her. It appeared to be her favorite word when talking about her relationship with men. Not receiving a response, he inhaled sharply and continued, “Fine, be scared. I’m definitely not one of these college boys. I said I wouldn’t hurt you in any manner and I won’t. I’d still like to spend this evening with you, even if all we do is listen to music and eat take out.”

He stopped talking, but his eyes never left her face. When she looked down, he tilted her chin back up.

“Look at me!” he demanded. “What do you say?” He waited patiently for her reply.

Ria took a deep breath. “Okay,” she answered finally.

“I’ll come by on the bike around seven, if that’s okay?” He waited until she nodded. Then, he brushed his thumb against her bottom lip before he walked away.

She wasn’t aware she was trembling until she heard Annie’s voice in her ear.

“Damn, Ria. He’s bloody hot! And he’s got a giant cock. What did he want?”

“To tell me off for being rude,” Ria replied, smiling ruefully, “and to confirm our date for tonight.”

Annie laughed softly. “He’s really into you, isn’t he?”

Ria’s sigh stopped her laughter. “Maybe. He’s leaving tomorrow.”

“What? Why?” Annie was shocked.

“Work, he said. But he won’t tell me what he does.”

“Perhaps he’s a white slaver. Maybe you’ll end up in a brothel in Marrakesh or as the mistress of an oil sheikh.”

Ria smiled. Her friend could sometimes be a fool, but she had a way of putting things into perspective.

For the rest of the day, she worked diligently. She pushed all thoughts of Jay out of her head until it was time to get ready for him. She didn’t feel like dolling up. Since she was going to be riding on his motorcycle, she donned a pair of black jeans and a new t-shirt.

He arrived at just before seven o’clock. His motorcycle announced his imminent arrival almost a minute before he pulled into the camp. She was as excited as if it was her first date. Her heart thudded wildly in her chest.

He stood astride his bike, its engine still running. Its muted roar made it difficult to hear what he said; but, he handed her a helmet and helped her strap it on. She admired the black leather vest he wore. It was a lavishly studded affair and gave him an even more rakish look. His long hair brushed the top of the jacket. It hung loose tonight, not tidied away in a ponytail.

“I promised you a ride, remember?” It was the same corny joke he’d made last time, but she didn’t mind. “Climb up behind me and hold on to my waist. Don’t do anything to help me. Just enjoy the ride. Okay?”

Ria nodded. She was a little afraid and a little excited. She mounted the machine with his help. Following his instructions, she immediately put her arms around his waist. He nodded to Annie and put the machine into gear. They pulled away from the camp in a cloud of sand and dust.

They rode for a while. The evening air on her face was pleasant. She found herself starting to relax. She watched the land roll past and felt the throb of the machine between her legs. The action of the seat as it vibrated stimulated her clit. It was exhilarating. She let herself enjoy the buzz and wondered how much she could handle before she would need more.

“You okay back there?” his voice interrupted her reverie.

“Yes,” she said, as she smiled.

Soon, the bike slowed and turned into the driveway of a sprawling ranch-style house. As they rode up the driveway, a dog came running alongside, barking wildly. He felt her grip tighten and reassured her, as he said, “Don’t worry. Bosley won’t hurt you. You’re with me.”

He helped her off the bike and bent to pet his dog, a huge Doberman pinscher. It proceeded to sniff her, as if to ensure she was no threat to his master. Jay took her hand and led her indoors, leaving the dog at the threshold.

“Good dog, Bosley.”

Ria laughed. Jay complimented Bosley, but slammed the door in his face.

“Poor thing,” she commiserated, chuckling.

“Come through,” he invited her. “I bought Chinese. We can reheat it in the microwave. Then, we can eat and watch a movie in the kitchen, if you’d like.”

Ria followed him into a huge country-style kitchen. At one end was the biggest flat screen television she had ever seen. She laughed, again.

“I’m guessing you don’t cook much?”

Jay chuckled. “Not much,” he agreed. “It’s my mom’s place and she usually does that.”

She looked at him quizzically and he hurried to explain.

“When I’m in town, I crash here. She’s out of town at the moment and won’t be back until next Wednesday. We’re completely alone. No one will interrupt us, except perhaps Bosley.”

His voice had changed. Ria marveled at how swiftly his demeanor moved from casual to seductive. He watched her as she hoisted herself over a stool at the counter. It was high, but accessible. Still, he hurried over and helped her up. As he stood beside her, his hands still around her hips, he leaned forward and kissed her.

“Been needing to do that since you got on the bike,” he murmured. “That, and this,” he added, and stuck his tongue in her mouth. His tongue searched out her sweetness, as he suckled her. “I know we’re still relative strangers, but I can’t seem to help wanting to touch you and kiss you and...”

He stopped and stepped away from her. He had to take a moment to slow himself down.

After he recomposed himself, he said, “I’ll get dinner. I just need to warm it through. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.”

He opened the packages and put them in the microwave. They were still warm and his estimate was probably correct. While the microwave reheated the food, he set out plates and serving cutlery on the table. Then, he offered her a drink. When the timer on the microwave sounded, he took the food from it and placed it on the table.

They started to eat. As with their meal at the restaurant, they shared their food. He fed her some of his boneless ribs and she shared her chicken. He showed her how to use chopsticks. He laughed when the broccoli fell out of hers and onto the floor.

When she got down from her stool to pick it up, he watched her ass fill the seat of her jeans. Quickly, he felt himself go rigid. He had been fighting an erection from the moment she wrapped her arms around him for the ride. He’d hoped she’d stroke him through his jeans, but she’d seemed preoccupied. Now, he couldn’t resist.

He reached down and stroked her ass before she stood up. Startled, she whirled around. As she did, he grabbed her. Then, he pulled her up and into his embrace.

“God, you’re so sexy, baby!” It wasn’t original, but he said what he felt.

She wanted to answer in the same vein, but contented herself by rubbing her body against his erection. His kisses grew fevered and his hands roamed heatedly over her. Annie had asked if he was as big as Ron somebody or other. If Jay wasn’t, she was certain the man must be hung like a horse.

“Time?” He desperately hoped she understood his poorly worded question.

“It’s time,” she agreed.

It was the only word he needed. He picked her up and set her on the counter, as he swept the food aside. Then, he settled his frame between her legs. They were breathless, hungry, almost desperate for each other. They were also so wound up, it was almost as if they didn’t know where to start.

She started first, reaching for his shirt and then the buttons. Her shaking fingers worked rapidly. Her fingertips touched his skin and drove him wild. Spurred into action, he reached down and lifted her shirt. She pushed his hands underneath it and pulling the bra up and over her breasts. They were delightfully firm. He kneaded them slowly, as he pinched her nipples. Then, he cupped them in his hands, as if weighing them.
