He chuckled, and grabbed my wrists, pulling them behind my back. He held them with one hand while his other slid over my body. I molded myself against him, taking in the gorgeous scent of his skin. “That’s what I’m counting on.”

His body was glorious and naked. A slight smattering of hair led a trail down the the dark patch partially obscured by the sheets on the bed. I’d never wanted someone more than I wanted him in that moment. To think I’d nearly let him walk away, all because I was stubborn and hurting.

“You’re thinking too hard,” Dylan whispered.

“Hush, Bambi. Make love to me.”

“I really hate the name Bambi. It’s just not manly.”

“Don’t worry,” I told him, chuckling. “It’ll be our secret.”

There’s very little in the world that made me happy. I’d spent five years being miserable and angry, and the only beacon of light in my life was an egotistical SEAL who took nothing seriously.
