Chapter Four
Simone

M
onths passed by, and I encountered sleepless nights fantasizing about Andriano. There were nights that I would silently pray that Victoria would convince me to go out to another club or lounge, just so that I could see him again.

As we became closer, I began talking about my estranged relationship with my family and the barriers that I had to overcome back in Florida. Moving far away from home was the best option in order to escape my overtly submissive mother and enraged controlling stepfather, Henry.

I did feel a twinge of guilt about exposing my mother. Somehow, I felt embarrassed for her lack of dignity. Still, her only child left her all alone to deal with the imprisonment of their home. Since being away, I called her twice a day. She seemed more curt and short when we spoke at night.
Henry must be around
, I wanted to say aloud each time.

I spoke to my maternal grandmother every day. We became closer when she moved back to North Carolina after my mom married Henry. The relationship between my mother and her was never the same; although, I could never blame my grandmother for being distant.

“Grandma, I get worried about mommy, but I am so angry at her for not being strong like you,” I would often tell her.

Like clockwork, my grandmother’s response was always, “A woman has to find her own rite of passage and search deep within for her strength. She is strong in her own right.”

Simone

“Simone, you should really come spend the winter break at my house. Mom and Daddy would want you to come spend Christmas and New Year’s with us,” said Victoria, as she leaned against her closet door.

The end of the semester was approaching, and my mother still didn’t discuss any arrangements with me to return home for the holidays. I couldn’t afford to pay a round trip ticket to Florida. Between attending lectures and studying, I was too wrapped up to realize that all students were mandated to clear out of their dormitories for the holiday.

“Sure, if you and your family don’t mind. When are we leaving?” I asked, grateful for the invite.

“Great! At least my best friend will be with me to endure our annual Christmas party,” Victoria said happily. “Daddy will send a car to pick us up next Saturday.”

“Thank you, Victoria. I really do appreciate this and everything that you have done for me since I came from Florida,” I said whole-heartedly. Throughout this first semester, she made sure that we ate together every night, studied together and spent weekends together at her house in New Jersey.

Waving a hand, Victoria pulled me into a tight hug as if I was saving her from a dreadfully lonely Christmas. The week ended much quicker than expected, as it was finally time to kiss our dorm room goodbye. As the driver began loading our suitcases into the trunk, Victoria and I climbed into the second row of the all black SUV truck. Throughout the three-hour drive to New Jersey, Victoria and I spent most of the time talking about all of the different families that would be in attendance at her family’s annual Christmas party.

“I didn’t want to mention it but stay very clear of Josephine Capparelli. The Capparelli’s always attend our party. There is a rumor going around that she and Andriano are going to be engaged by the end of this year. She is extremely possessive of Andriano,” Victoria warned.

“I am not interested in him, so she is the least of my concern,” I responded, even though we both knew that I was lying. After more gossiping and two naps, we finally arrived at the family mansion. Immediately, we were greeted by her parents and ushered in. I was directed to the large guest bedroom that was two doors down from Victoria’s room.

We spent most of our days shopping with her mom and being pampered at salons. Her mother insisted that I be included in everything. We ate dinner together as a family and even discussed plans for extended vacations that we would take the upcoming year.

Earlier that morning, on the day of the Christmas party, we had a hair appointment and nail appointment. Mrs. Spillmore, who insisted that I call her Kate, arranged to have a makeup artist come and do our makeup before the party started. We went shopping for our dresses and shoes two days prior. Her mother required us to look perfect for the party; therefore, she did not hold back her credit card.

After showering and moisturizing my body, I put on the new body contour red wrap around Michael Costello dress. It had a triangle cut out in the mid-section that revealed my dark skin. Slipping on my gold open toe Christian Louboutin shoes, which gave my toned legs an endless sleekness, I completely transformed into a woman I no longer recognized. I had never before worn anything that expensive or received this much attention from anyone. As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I had to remind myself that this was not my world. I began putting on light gold accent accessories to complete my look just as there was a knock on the door.

“Come in,” I said.

“Whoa, you look absolutely hot,” said Victoria, as she entered the room with the makeup artist, Kevin.

“Honey, you are going to cause all of these women to hold on tight to their husbands tonight,” Kevin flamboyantly said, as he began setting up a makeup station on the vanity table.

“You look beautiful, Victoria,” I said to my best friend, who made all of this possible. She looked breathtaking in her flowing sheer bronze strapless gown, flawless bold makeup, and sleek hair pulled back into an effortless up-do. She looked like a celebrity.

I gently pulled off the clip that held my hair up and allowed my hair to cascade in soft, voluminous waves down my back. I walked over to the makeup station and sat down. Kevin took my look to another level, as he played on capturing my “exotic” alluring features. After, I lightly spritzed my new perfume on that we purchased earlier today and took one final look in the mirror, I went downstairs with Victoria.

Peering downstairs, I became nervous as an abundant amount of people entered through the double front doors. They were all dressed as if this was a ball. Needless to say, I was the only minority who stood out significantly in a sea of white. Slowly walking down the stairs, I was the center of attention from lustful men and questioning women.

“You girls look gorgeous. Now, let me introduce you to some of our guests, Simone,” said Mrs. Spillmore proudly, as she locked her arm with mine.

Entering the large foyer, I was introduced to a number of people who all seemed to have an important role or position. Many had hard-to-pronounce Italian and Russian names that I would never remember. Finally, Mrs. Spillmore led me to the Balducci family, who filled a whole section of the room. Among those in attendance was Andriano. Our eyes connected, as he took my hand and raised it to his mouth and placed a soft, seductive kiss on the back of my hand. Withdrawing my hand quickly and smoothly, I smiled. Mrs. Spillmore appeared to be expressionless, as I was introduced to Nicolai and Vincenzo.

“It is great to see you again,” said Vincenzo, as he leaned over and kissed my cheek. My eyes darted to Andriano’s face, which was filled with tension, as his cold and deadly brutal eyes bored into the side of his cousin’s head. All of the Balducci men were beyond handsome, with smooth olive complexions and alluring features. They all resembled skyscrapers aligned, as they each were over six feet tall and masculine like gladiators.

After meeting the four elder Balducci men, I was introduced to their wives and the rest of their children. I was finally introduced to the Capparelli family. Josephine stared at me, eyes filled with envy, as she made no effort to say hi. She dismissed me by walking towards Andriano and hugging him intimately.

John Capparelli, Josephine’s father, stared at me hungrily, as if he was undressing me with his penetrating gaze. He held onto my hand longer than expected and rubbed his thumb in circular motions in the palm of my hand before finally releasing it.

Finally, all of the formal introductions were made, and Victoria practically dragged me away from her mom’s side. We walked towards the room that had one of the luxurious bars stations and ordered some red wine. Sloshing a large gulp into my mouth, as if my life depended on this drink, I attempted to calm my nerves. I was determined to stay clear of John Capparelli and Andriano Balducci, who both seemed to eye fuck me the most throughout this event.

“Victoria, I need to be completely honest with you,” I said as we sat on the plush leather embroidered chairs near one of her many large fireplaces.

“What’s wrong?” she asked suspiciously.

“Andriano and I hooked up the first time you and I went out to
City
Night Limits.
We kissed, and that was all,” I blathered as if I committed the most odious sin.

Choking on her red wine, Victoria looked at me with a grin on her face. Taking another sip, she began, “I knew something happened, because you had a flush and an ‘I just had the best orgasm of my life’ look all over your face,” she said, beaming with excitement. Nodding her head, she then said the unexpected, “That explains why he keeps asking me for your number and makes all of these inquiries about you. He has been texting and calling me ever since that night.”

Looking at her with enlarged eyes, I was shocked that he was really searching for me. “He’s been looking…looking for…me?” I asked nervously, as my stomach rumbled with anticipation.

“Yup, I told him that you were back in Florida spending your break with your family. He wanted your address after I told him
,
” she said, then took another sip of the wine.

“Just being around him that one time was so intoxicating and confusing. I know that I have to stay away,” I said, standing up determined. “Besides Josephine will probably kill me if she sees us together, and I really don’t want to be a part of this mess. I refuse to be his fucking sex toy…” I began and stopped when I realized that Victoria’s eyes became doubled in width, as her focus shifted to a spot behind me.

Turning in the direction she was looking, my body slammed into the hard chiseled chest that is covered with expensive tailored made threads. Looking up, I’m taken aback by the man towering over my frame. Gently yet forcefully grabbing my wrist, this beautiful man, who made me powerless, dragged me towards the stairs. Heading up the stairs, I heard Victoria’s voice and the boisterous party sounds fading away in the distance. Pinning me against the wall, Andriano leaned down and assaulted my mouth with a lethal kiss that could possibly kill every nerve in my body.

“Where is your bedroom?” he whispered feverishly against my lips.

“Andriano… we can’t do this. You have the wrong idea about me…” I began, anxious to put up a fight.

Lifting me off my feet, Andriano began walking down the long hallway. Just then, one of the servants appeared from around the corner and looked at us in horror as she ran in the same direction that she was leaving.

“What are you doing? Put me down right now!” I shouted while trying to wiggle out of his grasp. My efforts and energy seemed pointless, as this man continued his mission.

“Tell me where your room is,” he casually demanded, as if he was used to getting his way. Ignoring his demand, I start wiggling again in a desperate attempt to break free from him. He held on tighter and seemed more infuriated. Looking down at me with scolding eyes, I knew then that I should abandon all attempts.

“I will take you into any one of these rooms and fuck you regardless. And believe me, I don’t give a shit who walks in on us. I thought that you valued your privacy for what I’m going to do to you. But, if you don’t care, I will pick a room,” he said sternly.

“Fine, it’s three doors to the right,” I said out of fear of what my noncompliance could lead to. Secretly, I was excited and thrilled at the prospects of being alone with him again.

Opening the door, we entered my large guest bedroom, as he slammed the door shut with his foot. Preparing myself for a hard landing, I was completely surprised that this excitingly boisterous man now laid my body gently on the bed while tenderly staring at me. He stood up and started taking off his cuff links and tuxedo jacket… tossing them across the bed.

For a moment, I thought that he probably thought better of being with me, because of the way that he stared at me. Our eyes bored into each other’s, as we shared a non-verbal heated exchange that only lovers could understand.
Lovers
…shaking my head at the stupid thought, I regained consciousness of what had just taken place.

“I finally found you,” he said huskily, as he dropped down to his knees abruptly in front of my bed. “You don’t know how much I needed to see you again. Turn over,” he said, as he stroked my calves gently with the tips of his fingers.

Shocked into silence, I watched this man lustfully stare at me. My body started to respond to this man, regardless of my inner will power commanding me to remain unaffected. A throbbing ache pierced me between my legs, as my slit became slick with need and urgency.

This man shattered all of my walls that I had prepared, particularly for him, with just one look. His pungent kiss ensured that I was paralyzed and defenseless against all of my attempts to go against him.

“Turn over now, or else I will make you,” he said, determined to forcefully move me if I dared to defy him.

Ignoring all signs to stop fighting him, I defiantly challenged him as I attempted to will myself to resist his control over my body. With a petulant growl, he effortlessly gripped my waist and flipped me over. He pulled off my heels and tossed them mercilessly across the room. He slid my dress up—stopping mid-way up my back. With a deep gasp, his eyes roamed over my ample rump that trapped a helpless G-string between the perfect ebony mounds.

“Please, Andriano…” I moaned, arching my back.
