Turning her head, Teghan captured his mouth in a kiss. The last time they'd had sex was New Year's, and she was more than happy to take him up on his offer. "Now that sounds like a good idea. Let me just use the restroom first then we'll go, okay?"

"You bet." Donnie smiled. "Hurry up."

Teghan winked and stood. She went to the restroom, smiling and feeling pretty good--until she saw the baby changing station hanging on the back wall. Her breath caught in her throat and tears stung her eyes. She barged into the closest stall and threw up in the toilet. Teghan slumped to the floor and cried. She cried for the baby she'd lost and she cried for the cruel knowledge that her father had been the cause of it. How could he have done that to her? And how the hell was she supposed to forget it and move on? It hurt so much. All day, every day, it was always there: the gut wrenching pain, the big black hole of emptiness, and the incurable sadness.

She forced herself to stand and went to the sink. Splashing cold water on her face, she did her best to collect herself, and then she went back to her friends. The moment her gaze met Donnie's, he stood. She knew that he knew something was wrong. Teghan took a deep breath and said, "I'm not feeling so well. Can we go now?"

"Yeah, of course," he said, putting a protective arm around her.

"You okay, Teeg?" Annabelle asked with concern.

God, Teghan hated lying to her. She hated the looks of concern and pity she was always getting from everyone. She just wanted it all to stop. "Yeah, sorry to ruin the night, but we're going to head home."

Annabelle hugged Teghan. "Oh sweetie, don't be sorry. It's okay. I think I'm gonna crash at Carter's tonight anyway, so I'll see you tomorrow?"

Teghan nodded and then left with Donnie. As soon as they were in the car, Donnie asked, "What happened?"

"I don't know," she whispered. "I was fine then I saw the baby changing station in the bathroom and I lost it."

Donnie frowned. "I hate this, Teghan. I hate that he did this to you, and I hate that you won't confront him about it."

Not this again, she thought. Every time she talked to Donnie, he mentioned that she should confront her father, and every time she told him no. The last thing she wanted to do was face her father. In fact, she'd be happy if she never had to see him again. "Please, don't do this now. I just want to go home."

He reached across the seat and laced his fingers through hers. "Okay, I'm sorry. Will you please at least think about it?"

"Fine," she said, knowing full well that she had no intentions of doing so.

Chapter Twenty-two

Annabelle barged into the room. "Get dressed."

"What? Why?" Teghan gave her a dirty look. She was lounging around on her bed in her pajamas. She hadn't bothered to get dressed at all today. Donnie had left a couple of hours ago, after they'd spent all morning having sex. It was now almost four o'clock, and it was the first she'd seen or heard from Annabelle since last night.

"Because Alex invited us to a party and we're going." Annabelle tossed a towel at Teghan. "Now get your ass up, take a shower and get dressed so we can go."

Teghan groaned but got up. She knew it was probably the same party Donnie asked her to go to. "Is this the Kappa frat party?"

"Yeah, how'd you know that?" Annabelle put her hands on her hips. "Did Alex call you too?"

"No, Donnie invited me earlier this week."

"Oh, good, so I don't have to beg you to go then." Annabelle smiled. "Harmonie and Logan and Carter are going with us. They'll be here in an hour."

Teghan stuck her tongue out at Annabelle as she left the room. Maybe it would do her some good to go out and socialize. Even though she'd tried to do just that last night and it hadn't ended so well. But she was more determined than ever to move on with her life and be normal again. There would be alcohol tonight though. That would help her get through the party--hopefully.

~ * ~

They'd been at the party for a couple of hours now, and Teghan realized she was going to need buckets of alcohol to make it through the night. Donnie had been pawing at her non-stop since she'd arrived, and she'd been biting her tongue to stop from screaming at him to leave her the fuck alone. She didn't know why she was so miserable. They'd had a great time together earlier that morning, and for a while things had felt like they did before the whole baby thing. But now she was being a rotten bitch. She knew she was, yet that didn't seem to stop her. Poor Donnie. He didn't deserve this kind of treatment.
Get a grip, Teghan.
She used the bathroom excuse to sneak away and find a few minutes of peace and quiet so she could collect her thoughts. What she found was much more exciting though. She stood in the doorway of an upstairs bedroom and watched with fascination as a group of guys and girls stood in the center of the room, dripping wet, and passing a joint. "Looks like this is the real party."

A tall, scrawny guy with orange hair looked at her. "Want a hit?" he asked, holding out the joint.

Teghan accepted it and took a long hit, holding it in until she started to cough then she blew out the smoke in a steady stream. "What's with the water?" she asked, handing back the joint.

"Take a look," orange haired guy said, nodding to the window.

Teghan looked out the window. There was a slip 'n' slide on the steep, sloping roof that extended out above the in-ground pool below. She grinned. Now that looked like fun. She turned back around. "Anyone get hurt doing that?"

"Not tonight," said a short, chubby guy with massive man boobs. He laughed. "Two weeks ago a guy didn't get a good enough take off and missed the pool. He broke several bones. Small miracle he didn't die."

She didn't even hesitate. "I'm gonna do it," Teghan said, taking off her top then her jeans.

Orange hair whistled. "I'll help you load into the chute."

Teghan straddled the windowsill, one foot on the roof and the other in the bedroom. Orange hair held her hand as she eased out onto the roof. She drew a deep breath. It was much higher than she thought, and once she sat, she couldn't see the pool. Her heart raced and she swore she could taste the spike of adrenaline in her blood. She hadn't felt this alive in so long!

"Make sure you give yourself a good push," man boobs said.

"Got it," Teghan said. Her heart was racing. Her blood was pumping a mixture of alcohol, pot, and adrenaline through her veins. She planted her hands on either side of her and pushed, propelling her body forward. "Woo!" When she reached the edge of the roof and became airborne she screamed, not in fear but in exhilaration. Her scream quieted the party below; dozens of eyes were on her, cheering her on, catcalling, and whistling. Her body hit the water and she swore her heart stopped. The water was cold. She swam toward the edge.

"I cannot believe you just did that," Annabelle said, offering her a hand. "What the hell were you thinking? You could've died."

Teghan smiled. That was just like Annabelle--to rain on Teghan's parade. Well, Teghan wasn't going to let Annabelle get her down. "You have to try it, Annie. I can't even describe how amazing it was."

Annabelle laughed. "No friggin' way in hell I'm getting up there."

"What the fuck are you doing?" Donnie said, taking off his button-up shirt and wrapping it around Teghan's shoulders.

Her adrenaline induced high was gone in an instant. "I was just trying to have some fun." Wasn't he always telling her to not let her father get the best of her, to live her life despite him?

"And you had to get naked to do it?" he snapped.

"I'm not naked." She rolled her eyes and shrugged off his shirt. "I'm gonna go get my clothes. I'll be right back." Teghan shivered as she made her way back upstairs.

"That was kick ass," orange hair said when Teghan entered the room.

She smiled. "Thanks. It was incredible."

"Wanna go again?" man boobs asked.

Hell yes! But she knew Donnie would be pissed, so she politely declined, put her clothes back on, took another hit of the joint, and left to find more beer. Her anger toward Donnie was slowly simmering. How dare he scold her for having fun?
Who does he think he is talking to me like that?
Teghan filled a cup with beer, chugged it, and refilled it before heading downstairs. At least she was still drunk. She went into the backyard and found Donnie waiting for her. He was leaning up against the house, arms crossed, a scowl on his face.

"Come with me." Donnie grabbed her arm.

Teghan yanked out of his grasp. "No. Whatever you have to say, you can say it right here."

Donnie took a deep breath. "I'm sorry I overreacted."

That wasn't what she'd expected. She took another drink before speaking. "It's okay."

"I know you're hurting, Teghan, but I miss you. I miss us. Please, babe, let me help you."

Teghan felt the sting of tears in her eyes. Damn him. She looked into his eyes, they were so full of worry and sadness and pain. Teghan wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his shoulder. "It never stops hurting. No matter what I do, it won't stop."

"Tell me what I can do to help," he whispered, stroking her hair.

Nothing. There was nothing he or anyone else could do. Teghan was beginning to think that the only thing that would help was death. At least then she wouldn't have to deal with her thoughts any more, or the emptiness she felt all the time. She brought her mouth to his and kissed him hungrily. "Let's get out of here." Her tone was suggestive.

"Where would you like to go?" he asked as he kissed along her jaw.

"How about your room? Alex is still here so we can be alone." She tilted her head to give him more access. God that felt so good. Her hand coursed down his torso and gripped his crotch, massaging him through his jeans.

Donnie's eyes widened and he looked down at her hand. "My room it is." He took her hand and led her out of the frat house and toward his dorm. Teghan couldn't help but chuckle at how Donnie practically dragged her to his dorm. He did it quick too. Before Donnie had even gotten the door closed, Teghan had stripped off her shirt and bra. "Damn," he said with an appreciative whistle.

Teghan shoved him down on the bed and straddled him. She crushed her mouth over his and kissed him with hard desperation as he fondled her breasts and tugged on her nipples. The mild pain sent a shot of pleasure straight to her womb, and she ground herself on his jean clad erection. For the first time in days, her mind was silent save for the urgency she had to feel Donnie inside of her. "I want you," she said, moving her body so that she was straddling his knees. Teghan's hands trembled as she worked the button and zipper on his jeans. She didn't know why her hands were trembling. It's not like this was their first time or anything. Maybe it was because she'd drunk a lot of alcohol without having eaten anything beforehand.

"What's gotten into you tonight?" he asked with a sexy smile. He worked his jeans over his hips and down his thighs.

She licked her lips at the sight of his bare, exposed, hard cock. "Nothing," she said taking him into her hand and stroking him slowly. "Is it wrong that I want to have sex with my boyfriend?"

"Of course not." He laughed then groaned. "Shit, that feels good."

Teghan smiled with satisfaction. It was great knowing she had the power to make him feel good. She took a moment to admire him. He was lying on his back, hands tucked behind his head, his lean muscular body on display for her, waiting and anticipating her touch. Teghan released him, trailed her finger down the length of his torso, loving the ripple of his muscles beneath her touch. She stood and removed her jeans and panties.

"God, you're beautiful," Donnie said devouring her with his gaze. "Come here." He grabbed her hand and pulled her back down onto the bed with him.

Before she could react, Donnie had her pinned beneath him. He parted her thighs with his legs and entered her with ease. So much for taking charge, she thought. She moaned at the feel of him stretching and filling her. It felt so good. "Ah, yes," she whispered when he started to push in and out of her.

"Fuck, you feel so good," he said capturing her lips in a searing hot kiss. "God, I've missed you so much, babe."

Teghan clung to him, her fingers digging into his arms, which were flexed tight from him holding his weight in them. It was like clawing at a rock. The room began to spin and for a brief moment she felt the urge to vomit, only to have that feeling replaced with one of sheer ecstasy. Her whole body tingled, and she knew she was on the verge of an orgasm. She lifted her hips to meet him, thrust for thrust, until she plunged over the cliff. "Donnie," she cried, writhing beneath him, bucking and moaning as he pushed her harder and faster.

"Yeah, that's it, Teghan," he crooned.

When she thought she was going to pass out, when she thought she couldn't possibly handle anymore, Donnie rolled them over, bringing her on top of him and down on his cock with a forceful push. She screamed as a second orgasm on the heels of her first, crashed over her senses. "Oh my god, oh my god," she chanted as she continued to move on him, her hips rotating on him. Despite how weak she felt, it was just too good to stop.

"Holy, shit," he grunted and clutched her hips. "Yeah, ah fuck, yeah, just like that."
