The first thing she felt was a nip at her right ankle, then her left.  Bryn slowly nipped his way up to one knee and then the next, then continued his journey with his tongue, on the inside of her right thigh, reached just to the moist opening that waited for him.
He hovered there, his breath against her skin, as she held hers, and then he moved back to the other leg and traveled up again to that same place.

Lauren thought she would die if he didn’t get to it, and she lifted her head just as he dived, quickly, his tongue skilled, sought exactly the right place to drive her over the edge.  She twisted and turned as his tongue did the same, her legs trapped by his powerful hands, so that when the orgasm hit, she could barely lift her body upward as it shot to do.  Lauren cried out, something she’d never done, and let the orgasm drive her until her body dropped back onto the bed, spent and satiated.

When she lifted her head again to look at Bryn, her eyes slitted.

“What I’ve been missing all these years,” she whispered.  Bryn shook his head.

“Nay.  That was
you
with
me
.  Not with anyone else.  What we did,
we
did.  I hate to tell ya, lass, no one else will do for ya what I just did.”

“I know.  Bryn, I know vampires have skills born of a lot of experience and special abilities.”

“That isn’t what I speak of.  I’ve made love to a lot of women over a lot of years, Lauren, and what happened last night has never happened before.”

“The aura,” Lauren said.

“Aye, and more.  I can’t explain it, but we have a strange connection, little scientist.”

“Then thank you, for that.  For making me feel desired.
For making me know that I’m worthy of loving.”

“Ah, ye’re
breakin’ my heart, woman.”

“I don’t mean to.  But I’ve kind of been taught that this kind of sexuality was reserved for attractive people.”

“Passion doesn’t discriminate.  Everyone is attractive, and there’s someone for everyone.”

“I believe that, I do.  But I had to find my way through my past to get there.  I was the geeky nerd with high
powered myopic lenses that stood six inches above all of the other girls.  With silly clothes that made people laugh because I just didn’t get it.  For me, it was all about my studies.”

“I’d like
ta see ya in those glasses.  I bet they looked sexy as hell.”

La
uren pulled Bryn down and rolled over to run her fingers across his chest.  “You’re a good man, Bryn.  An extraordinary man.  I’m glad I didn’t send you away that night.”

“Ye’re a kind woman who would flinch at my past.”

“You’ve trod this world for centuries.   Of course you’ve done things you might not be proud of.  But that doesn’t matter to me.  I’ll judge you only on who you’ve been with me.  And I love everything I know about you.”

“Then can I get my reward?  I have this enormous problem…”

Lauren’s eyes dropped to his cock.

“I see you do.”

So she climbed on top of him, sliding her hand up and down his cock over and over until he grabbed her waist and practically slipped her down over him.

Laughing, Lauren rode Bryn until he sat up
, and with their arms around each other, their bodies hugged tight, he came inside of her as powerfully as he had the night before.

The colors came again.

“Get out,” Lamont barked at the naked blonde woman beside him on an oversized bed.

Giving him a smile that did not reach her eyes, Kalia got up, comfortable with her nakedness, and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind her.  Lamont glanced towards it, but returned his attention to his ringing cell phone.

“Tell me you have her,” he said when he answered.

“Sir, the vampire stayed with her.”

“That is why you have the serum.  Use it.  You know it works.”

“We’re searching now.”

“Don’t come back unless you have her.  And bring the vampire.”

Lamont dropped back onto the bed, used the remote to kill the lights, and massaged his dick.

Why the hell was it burning?

Kalia entered the lower fourth floor of the facility, and threw a small canister into a waste bin.  She smiled.  That ought to make the asshole sting for a while.  Sex didn’t bother her, ever.  Even if it was with someone she would never touch ordinarily.  But it didn’t mean she thought it was right to force it on someone.  So she did what she could.

A long time ago someone told her to act like she
played by the rules, while quietly playing by her own.  That’s exactly what she did, she played by her own rules.   And sometimes she just needed to make her point.  She’d take a shower now, to wash off his stink, and then go back to work.

The hot water
did the job.  She ran her hands over her breasts, which were two full sizes smaller than that asshole thought they were.  Her fingers continued down her body, a rich chocolate color that he had seen as milky white.  She’d made him come, but he hadn’t done anything for her.  Later, she’d find someone who would.

Her long dark hair lathered easily as she worked her fingers through it, grateful it wasn’t the
satin blonde she’d made him see when he looked at her, without really seeing her.

Kalia thought it would be wise of him to disappear from here soon, or she wouldn’t be responsible for what she did to him.

Bryn woke before Lauren after the sun was down.  He didn’t need to see
outside to know that, a vampire’s internal clock was very accurate.   Perched up on his arm, he pushed a dark strand of hair from her face and watched her sleep.  He could see the girl he’d met in Iceland very clearly.

She was wrong.  That girl was not plain, had never been plain.  It’s just that she never
felt beautiful, so she’d sent the wrong message into the world.  He knew how it worked after all of these years trudging through life…you made your own reality.

He smiled.  Well, she sure knew it now.

Bryn knew they needed to get these motherfuckers or she’d never be safe.  The fact that they sent this type of force after her over a year later meant that whoever was searching for her would not quit.  Bryn figured to stash her somewhere safe and bring a vampire crew back.  This was going to end.

The concrete floor was cold on his feet as he walked across it to get his phone and headed up the stairs.  Cool night air felt good on his bare skin as he dialed.

“David, she’s safe.  No, she isn’t, but for now, I have her and she’s okay.  I need ta get her out of here.  Would it be all right if I sent her to ya?   Thanks.  Then, I’m huntin’ them down and puttin’ a stop to this vampire, supernatural study shite once and for all.”

He listened, then smiled
, as he opened the door and leaned against the jamb.  “I knew ya would.   Do ya think ya can get some of yer other first bloods to fight with us?  It affects all of us.  Aye, I’ll ring ya back when I have her in the plane and on the way to ya.  Thanks.”

Okay.  David would round up
a few more first bloods.  With a team of the strongest creatures on earth, it should take very little to end this bullshit craziness.  Vampires and the myriad other supernatural creatures all over this world would be safe, at least from this heinous group of humans who would taste some of their own justice soon.

And the little scientist could go back to being a scientist again.
And he could go back to…whatever the hell he thought his life was about.  That would take some considering now, since suddenly he’d gotten all kinds of profound.

He smiled.  Did he really think he’d changed?   That the days of alcohol-soaked comfort were over?
Of seeking any sweet thing to bury himself in?   He thought so.

Footsteps let him know his rescued geneticist-turned-flower-shop-owner was behind him.  Before he could turn around, he felt her hands slide around his waist, low, and connect close to his penis, which seemed to know she was near as it began to plump.

“Hey,” she said, quietly, her cheek against his arm.

Bryn turned and pulled her to him, fitting her body into his.   “Hey,” he said.
“Did ya get enough rest?  I’d like to get ya back to the airport tonight.”

“I’m fine.
Better than fine.  Where am I going to go, Bryn?  I can’t go back to Chicago.   And I don’t have any money or ID.  I’m so screwed.”

“Nay.
I’m sendin’ ya to Cherise.  I already made arrangements with David.”

“It isn’t fair to them.  They shouldn’t inherit my troubles.  But thank you.  I’ll go with you and figure out what to do once I’m there.”

“It will be all right.  But I’m not comin’ with ya, lass.  I’m waitin’ here until David and some of his first blood friends arrive and we’re gonna take down the facility here.  I’ll call Dez once ye’re safely off.   I’m fairly sure she’ll have some ideas for us where we might find the place.  I’m gonna end this research for good.”

“Bryn, no.
You don’t realize how dangerous they are.  The money behind them is endless, and that’s almost as powerful as first blood magic.  Don’t do this for me.  I’ll find somewhere else to go and I’ll be okay.”

“I
am
doing this for you, little scientist, but not just for you.  These beasts cannot be allowed to continue this abomination.   Innocent beings are suffering when they deserve to be able to live their lives without concern that they’ll be imprisoned, tortured, or used as lab rats.  This ends, Lauren.”

Nodding, she hugged him tighter.

“You are nothing like I expected.  I need to apologize to you for how I spoke to you that first night in Chicago.”

He swung her up into his arms.  “I think
ya apologized last night, lass, more than once.  And I accepted.”

“More than once.
Okay, then, I’ll go to Iceland.  But Bryn, please be very, very careful.  You can’t underestimate these guys.  You weren’t wrong when you called them beasts.  They’re highly trained and vicious.  And they
hate
supernaturals, especially vampires.”

“Then
ya should give me one last ride before I go into battle.  Do ya agree?”

“Put me down.”

Lowering her, Bryn placed her feet carefully against the wood floor.   She unbuttoned the shirt she’d thrown on before she came up the stairs and let it fall, took his hand, and led him out the door.  It was a crystal clear night, stars twinkling above their heads between tall trees, the night sounds of creatures coming awake, as she pulled him over to a cleared area just before the tree line began.

“Here, vampire.
Under the stars in this beautiful land, make me remember every moment.  I promise
you
will.”

It was nearly pitch dark, but Bryn already remembered every curve of her face, her breasts,
her body.  He was reaching for her when her hands landed on his chest and pushed him down to the ground, where he landed hard on his back.  Then he felt fingers clasp his cock, which responded immediately.  When her tongue touched him, and then her teeth, he dropped his head back.
Aye,
he
would
remember.

The airport was busy when they arrived.  Bryn kept a close eye on every face, every person, that they passed, suspicious.  Not that SRS’s soldiers could take them here.  The brutal method of killing him would be the only way they would take Lauren from him now, and that was extremely unlikely in public.  He was paranoid anyway.

“Here, lass,
yer ticket.  I’m coming on the plane with ya to scope the crew and other passengers.  But I want ya to be careful.  David will have a team meetin’ ya in Iceland.  Here.  I’ve keyed in my number, so ya call me the second ya arrive safely, and then when ye’re inside David’s home.  I won’t rest until I get that second call.”

Bryn handed a new cell phone to her along with a wad of cash.

“Bryn…” Lauren started to protest.

“Don’t argue with me.
Ya need it and
I
have it.”

“But I…aw, hell, you’re right.  Okay.  But I’ll pay you back if I use any of it.”

“See that ya do.  Only I won’t accept cash.  Trade. Services, if ya understand my meanin.’”

Lauren tried to fit the fat wa
d of money into the little bag he’d bought for her, as she looked up.  “I do.  No objection.  I quite enjoyed servicing you tonight.”

“I quite enjoyed
bein’ serviced.”

“Well, I guess we’d better go.  They’ve almost finished boarding.”

True, the waiting area was almost empty.  Just as he bent over to pick up his backpack, Bryn heard a high-pitched whine followed instantly by a sharp sting in his back.  He turned to reach for Lauren, but began to fall over.   The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was Lauren staring at him, shocked, and then she started to drop too.

Beeping sounds met Lauren as she startled awake, her mind already in a fight or flight mode, and she shot off of the cot that she had been lying on.  She felt woozy, but it passed quickly and she looked around to assess her surroundings.

God, she knew it.  She was in a cage
, about 10 by 10 feet in size.  They’d captured her.  Shaking her head, she began to walk the perimeter of the cage, metal bars that backed up to what looked like a concrete wall.  She tried to remember the events and they came back abruptly.  They’d fired at her, obviously a tranquilizer because she wasn’t hurt.

And more than that
, she remembered now, as she began to lose consciousness, Bryn doing the same.  Very few tranqs worked on a vampire, and they didn’t work for very long.

The
abductors wouldn’t have brought him here because they would have known he couldn’t be contained.   Vampires could escape any locking system.  So he should be awake by now at the airport and raising hell.

She knew he would come for her again.

After finishing the walk around the perimeter, she returned to the front of the cage and looked out, the ceiling lights so bright, they hurt her eyes.   It was a huge room, all white, cages lined the length of three walls.

She squeezed her eyes.
What the hell?
Was that…Bryn?  In one of the cages to the right side of her, about three from the front of the room, a large man flat on the floor.  He was unconscious, lying on the floor, both arms and both legs chained.   Yes, it
was
him.

Lauren shook her head again.
This was obviously SRS’s research facility.   And those who ran this place?
They should know better
.  Bryn would regain consciousness and be out of the chains moments later.  And he would be ferociously pissed.

These people should know there was nothing more dangerous than an angry vampire.

Still, it broke her heart to see him lying there on the floor in chains because he tried to rescue her.  Sliding down to rest against the slick black tile, she couldn’t take her eyes off his prone figure.  Even if she survived this, even if she got away from them, how would she ever feel right again after being with him?

She would cross that bridge when necessary, if it ever would be necessary.   Right now, it was up to her to see if there was any possible escape route.
Searching every inch of the room visible, as before, there was nothing that would aid her in escape.  Her hands wrapped around the cage bars, a close inspection of the lock proved she was well-trapped unless someone actually opened the cage.  It was a state-of-the-art electronic lock.

So she would be ready
when someone
did
come to open the door for any reason.  A small slot at the bottom of the door let her know that was how they would feed her, so it may be a while before someone would come who had a reason to open the door.  With a last look at Bryn, who still lay unmoving on the floor of his cage, Lauren walked back over to the single layer blanket stretched on the small cot at the back of the cage and dropped down to wait to see what happened next.
