“Aight. Will do. Let’s go have some fun first.”

“One more request.”

“And what’s that?”

“Let’s go get tatted.”

“Huh. That shit hurts. Fo real Mi.” she says.

“Yeah, let’s get the infinity sign around our ring finger. You know – forever matching wedding rings.”

“Now, that’s doable. Can I go shopping first?”

“Yeah. Anything for you shawty. “

We order room service , shop a little bit, hit the strip, and get matching tattoos.”

She better enjoy this time . Cause once we get back to Memphis – I’m gone.

Jaylin

Uncle Jay. Who taught you how to dance?” Korea asks as she dances in the mirror.

“My mom and your dad.” I tell her as I start dancing like her.

“Uncle Jaylin , since my mommie married Miguel – is he my new dad?” Karma asks.

“Nah, baby girl .You  just got a step dad too.

“But I want him as my daddy. He is always nice to mommy . He takes us to school, dance classes, he plays the games with Khalil take him to karate class, and he makes my momma smile.” Karma says.

“Your dad loves ya’ll . He just has a funny way of showing it. But he will do whatever for his kids. Okay?” I say.

My nieces walk up to me and hug me. I love these two lil chocolate chips.

My phone rings and it’s Mac Yo.

“Sup .Mac Yo?” I ask.

“Get to dat spot. Now!” he screams.

“What happened?”

“Not on this phone! Come on G.”

“I’ll be through. Let me make sure my folks straight.” I say as I rub the sweat out of my forehead.

“Aight. But ASAP G” he says as hangs up the phone.

My phone rings again. It’s J.D.

“Lil Bro.”

“Sup. J.D.?” I ask.

“Mane, get to the car lot. ASAP!”

“Wat now?”

“Get here! Now!”

“Aight. I’m on my way.” I say as I kiss the twins goodbye. I walk down the steps and Mama Jo has the boys sitting on the couch.

“Uncle Jay?” Khalil asks.

“Sup Lil?”

“Can I go play?”

“No.”
“Ugh, grandma. Come on.”

“Go upstairs.”

“Jay. How you gonna tell him to disobey me?” Mama Jo asks. “I want him to be right in front of me.”

“Mama, stop it. Let him play. It wasn’t your fault. It was Liz sick ass. Sorry for the cussing , but Ki wouldn’t let you be around them if blamed you. Chill out. Okay.”

“Okay.” She exhales and leans back on the sofa. “ Where you going?”

“To handle some business. Where’s Tray?” I ask I look around. This first time I’ve noticed that she just ain’t been around.

“She dropped Darrin off sand kept on going.” Mama Jo says.

“What? When? “I ask.

“When we left the store getting groceries.”

“So, she didn’t go to the store.”

“Nah.”

“Or you cool with the all kids by yourself.”

“Yeah baby. The twins just called and said their mama dropping them off to help Ki out for a little while.”

“Aight. Just don’t let them go anywhere.”

“Lol. I won’t.”

I kiss her forehead and head out the door. I jump in my Lincoln and dial up Tracy. Her phone goes straight to voicemail.

“Fuck!” I scream as I hit the steering wheel with my fists.

I pull off listening to Bobby Womack’s, “If You Think You’re Lonely Now.” My baby is falling apart. She ain’t trying to touch me. She always gone and her phone calls are far and few. I pull up to J.D. car lot.

He outside smoking a fat blunt.

“Sup. J.D.?” I ask , but I already know the answer. Cause he don’t smoke at his business especially when it ain’t closed.

“Step in my office .” he says as he walks in his office. He didn’t put the blunt out. This can’t be good. My runner Mac Tez is in the office bloody and bruised.

“Da fuck happened Mac?”

“Mane, I was on my way to spot to drop off some work. Somebody tapped the car from behind and I said fuck it and kept going.”

“ I got to the spot , got the bag, out of the car, and walk up the steps. Next thing I know everything goes black . And punches in the head come shortly after that.”

“Damn, a blanket party. That’s old skool,” J.D. says as he puffs his blunt. “ We looking at some older niggas.”

“They dragged me in the house and beat me until  couldn’t take it anymore. Then, they searched the house until they found everything.”

“Shit. What they get Mac?”

“Everything .All nine keys of that white girl, 4 pounds of Kush , 3 pounds of Reggie weed, Lortabs, Percocets, and thirteen thousand in cash.”

“Fuck !” I scream as I pull out my glock 40 from the waist. “Mane, only three niggas know our routine! That’s him me and you!  How the fuck a nigga know your routine?”

“Jay, come down! This nigga ain’t no fool! He ain’t gonna show up here knowing he could die! He gonna get ghost and plan for this shit! Think! Damn!”

“You right . My bad my nigga. I’m tripping. What else happened?”

“Mac Yo pulled up and interrupted them niggas finna kill me. They crept out the back door. He untied me first and ran out the door. Somebody hit him in the head with something and he blacked out.”

“Let’s get you to the hospital first.” I say as I help him out of the chair.

My phone rings again .It’s Mac Yo again.

“I know G.” I say as I answer my phone.

“Nah, somebody just robbed the spot in South Memphis and burned it down.”

Tracy

“You like dis Tracy?” Teddy Bear asks as he uses his tongue to write his name all over my body.

“Yes. “ He stops in the center and slowly brushes his tongue across my clit.

“Beg me for it.”

“Please Teddy.” I say as I try to push his head onto my pussy.

“Okay I’ll give it to you.”

He goes nonstop for about thirty minutes until I cannot stop screaming .

My juices flows down his tongue and he smiles because he knows that’s just what I like.

“You gonna give me some?” he asks like an eager school boy.

“Yeah. Later though. I got to feed this baby before I get sick .” I say as I wobble to the bathroom.

“Come on. Let’s go out . Where you wanna go?”

“Raffety’s.”

“Cool. That’s wats up. Let me get dressed.”

We talk in the car about everything that has happened and forgive each other. He promises me that if I give him another chance – he’ll stop doing coke.

He pulls up to the front of Rafferty’s and  I get out of the car so that my walk will be short. I look around and notice that it is so nice.

The restaurant is cozy with a log cabin feel to it. The roof in the back is open with smoke welcoming us inside. It makes you hungry before you in walk in.

The hostess comes to the front, but my back is turned . So, I only hear her voice.

“Excuse me ma’am. Would that be one person or two?”

I know that ain’t who I think it is. I turn around quickly only to see this bitch.

“Tray?” Tiny asks as if she seen a ghost.

“Two.” I say with a smirk on my face.

“Would you like to be seated in the bar area? That way you will not have that far of a walk.”

“Sure . Ugh. Why not?” I wobble to the bar area with just a lil attitude.

Teddy Bear  walks up with a cockiness that only he can own. He is so fine and just maybe we can start a future together.

“I got to go the restroom”

“You need some help baby?”

“Nah, I’m good. Get me some croissants and fried mushrooms.”

“Aight . Love.”

I wobble to the restroom, take care of my business, and start to wash  my hands when the door opens. Tiny walks in ,

“Tray , I never got a chance to tell that I’m sorry.”

“You sorry. A sorry ass bitch.”

‘Look , there’s nothing going on with me and Jaylin . He just helping me with Jayla. No more . No less. He even making me use my Section8 voucher to pay you rent.”

“Fo real? He didn’t say anything about that.”

“Look I’m not trying to start no trouble. He really has changed. And he only wants you.”

“Well , why is he spending the night at the room with you?”

“Nah, he stays at the room with Jayla. I’m working two jobs to get some furniture and a car for my kids. I got to show my mom that I’m stable enough for them to come back home.”

“So ya’ll ain’t fucking?”

“Nope, not since Dixie Homes.”

“Oh , okay .Apology accepted. I hope . No, I pray that you get your kids back.”

“Me too. Let me get back to this money.”

She walks out the door and I feel like shit .I’ve started back fucking with Teddy Bear on some get back shit . Now, I’ve really fucked up .

When I get to the table , my food is there. I look at Teddy Bear in his eyes, but before I could speak my phone buzzed letting me know I have a new text message.

“You have a deposit of $2982.32 to your account.”

Shit. Tiny wasn’t  lying.

Nia

For once in my life, everything is going good. Miguel is once again going to be mine. So, instead of sitting back waiting on the party to start – I’m going to have some fun. I’m fresh as hell in my blue jean pantsuit , my blue MK purse , and matching heels. I just left the beauty shop . Now, I’m on my way to J’Adore to drop in on Mrs. Ki Santos. It’s about time that she meets me.

Miguel just purchased my smoky, gray 2015 Range Rover and I’m feeling too good. I pull up to her spot in Downtown Memphis. I have to admit this cheap ass trick got it going on. This boutique has  major swag. When I walk in the door, I’m eye-balling at least four outfits I want.

“Hello, welcome to J’Adore. I’m Trista. Would you like some coffee, tea, water, or cappuccino?

“Yes . What type of water do you have?”

“Um, Voss, Dasani,  Aquafina, and Fiji.” Trista says.

“Okay . Fiji. That outfit is banging girl. Is it here?”

“Yes. It is a Ki original. She’s so bad with the threads.”

I’m gaining so much respect for her now, but hey it’s not going to stop me from doing what I came to do.

“Okay, let me get that jumpsuit in black.” I say as I grab four dresses, two skirts, three blouses, three jumpsuits, three pair of jeans, two pair of jean overalls, and two jean miniskirts.

I got so lost in fashion that I forgot about my mission.

Ki walks in with Tracy . She stops when she sees me.

“Nia Lang. Girl, how you been doing?” Tracy says as we hug.

“I’m good.”

“Hi, I’m Ki. I see you’ve fell in love with J’Adore. Thank you.”

“No, thank you. I love this place. I’ll ask
Miguel if you can keep it when the divorce is final.”

“Wayment. What?” Ki says.

I reach into my Michael Kors bag and hand her the divorce papers.

“Miguel and I are high school sweethearts but you know that. And now I’m back . So, did you have fun?”

“Where’s Miguel?” Ki asks with tears in her eyes.

“He’s leaving the bank with your money , his money, and  my money. But I dropped a cool $3500 in your shop . See you later lil ghetto bird.”

“Nia- when I drop this baby. I’m going to beat your ass.” Tracy says calmly as she holds Ki’s hand.

“Oh Tracy. Still trying to fight. No need. It’s not going to  stop what’s going on. Oh, and tell Jovian Miguel says he can have you back.”

I walk out the door and jump in my Range Rover. I have not an ounce of sympathy for that bitch.
