His legs began to wobble, he was about to fall when June and Tim grabbed him. Neither one of them had never seen Q shaken like that before. He was always the one that held everyone else together, but now he was falling apart.

We got to go bro, June let’s get him to the car.” Tim spoke and motioned for June to help him get Q out the door and down the stairs.

Once they got to the truck, June and Tim slid Q into the back seat. Terri and Tee were about to open the other rear door, when Tim spoke, “Look you’ll need to hold up here or take another car, my man need some time by himself.” Tim knew Q wouldn’t want anyone around while he was in this condition, especially women. June took the driver’s seat while Tim gave the girls some final instructions. The whole ride down it was silence, except for the calls coming in from Kiki with the updates on Van’s condition. Q’s hands were shaking so much that Tim had to hold the phone for him while Q spoke and listened. He had taken off the wife beater and laid it across his face, hoping it would stop the tears.

Finally the all Black Chevy Yukon pulled up in front of the hospital. Before June was able to stop Q, jumped out the back door and rushed upstairs. He didn’t have time for the elevator. So he began jumping the steps four at time. Once he made it to the 7
th
floor, he went to push the door open and saw the sign that stated “TRAUMA UNIT”. He rushed into room 704, where he saw Kiki sitting at the side of Van’s bed. He looked at Van lying there, tubes were running everywhere into her small frame. He immediately began shaking his head no.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t hold the tears from falling down his eyes. He grabbed Van’s hand and took a deep breath.

Babe I love you so much, please don’t leave me like this, I can’t live without you, I want to be the man I know I can be to you. Please give me that chance, please! He got on his Knees and looked up.

God I know I ain’t been right with you, but man she don’t deserve this, please spare her life and take mine! God, man she a good person, it’s me that deserves to die, please lord!”

Tim and June had finally made it to the room and saw Q on the floor and heard his declaration to God. He was crying so heavy, no one knew what to do, but just let him be.

Bro just get it all out,” Tim suggested. Q turned to him and June,

bro help me, man she can’t die!” Tim and June couldn’t think of what to do so they tried to lift him up, but he was so heavy, they just got down on their knees with him. They were all crying now and saying prayers to themselves.

Q looked back at Van,

Shawtey if you can hear me, please give me a sign.” At that moment Q felt Van’s tiny hand squeeze his. He knew she was still with him! Q took a deep breath and looked at Tim and June with a look they had both seen before. He spoke in a calm manner.

Look, ya’ll get out of here, and find out who did this to my babe!”
