Zara

The three of us walk into the club just before 9pm. Den takes my hand and turns me to face him.

“Zara please be careful tonight, I get that you don’t think he will hurt you, but he might not be alone. I need you to be safe.” He says with a sorrowful note to his voice. I don’t like what this is doing to him, he has been so happy settling in and now he’s world is turned upside down, because of me. I’m not worthy of him, never have, never will be.

“I will Den, I’m going to put my bag out back, and get to work before the others get annoyed.”

He lets me go with a sigh.
I head to the office to hang my bag on the door with everyone else’s.

I take a moment in the dark corridor, thinking about Parrise being so freaking old! I know that Vampires are immortal, but that’s just crazy. I can’t get my head around why someone like him, would want me. Why would he fight for me to be his, as he could have anyone he wanted?

As I walk over to the bar to begin my shift, Julian greets me with a smile playing on his face.

“Zara, again you amaze me with your beauty.”

“Your such a flirt, stop it, I’m blushing like mad.” I play along, pretending to fan my face, and wink at him. I love the way Julian instantly puts me at ease.

“Come over to my side with me tonight. Ruk’s gunna take this side with Will for now.”

H
e takes my hand and pulls me across the dance floor before I can agree with him. I dance to the song playing while he has hold of my hand dragging me to the other end of the club, laughing at my attempts to get him to dance with me.

We work the bar handling
drink orders for Sally and Dom, who are working the VIP over our end of the club as well as some of the tables in our section, while we serve people standing at the bar. It’s coming up to midnight as the club is now in full swing.

“I need to run and get more mixers; I’ll be 2 seconds k?” Julian tells me.

“Yep.”

He runs over the other side of the bar, to the door that leads to the stock room.
Den walks over smiling at me, sitting down at the bar with his beer.

“Hey Den, you look like your enjoying yourself,” I say pointing to the group of men he has been speaking with most of the night, who I’m guessing are Werewolves. They look at little on edge, not to mention, sexy as sin! Definitely Werewolves, which would explain them looking ready for a fight, Ruk must have told them about Parrise and he’s ‘Visits’.

“Yeah they’re good people, you look happy, are you?”

“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be,” I say touching his hand and reassuring him with a smile. I get back to making drinks, wondering if Sallack will show up tonight Julian comes back with a crate of mixers and places them on the floor.

“Here, I’ll do that,” I say bending down to start putting the small glass bottles away in their place under the bar.

“Hey Den, can I have a word with you outside where we can speak privately?”

It’s Sallack! Should I stand up and say hello? No I’ll pretend I didn’t hear him, I don
’t want to seem too desperate, he hasn’t asked about me.

I wonder what he wants to speak with
Den about privately. I know in my heart he
is
the Alpha, and that Den
is
a Werewolf, maybe it’s about that.

“Ok that’s cool.” Den replies.

I wait 30 second to stand up, Julian smiles at me an
d put an arm around my shoulder in a comforting manner.

Chapter 1
1

Sallack

Walking out the front of the club with Den, I point to two chairs outside by the side of the club. We take a seat away from prying eyes.

“I want you to know that the pack and I will do everything in our power to protect Zara. I see how close you are to each other, but you will both be treated like family.”

I watch his face
as I say the word ‘pack’ rather than friends. He nods his reply. I need Den to become one with his Wolf, as quickly as possible with that Vampire ‘Parrise’ sniffing around Zara. He needs to be able to look after himself and her if the time comes for a battle.

“Ok well thanks. I guess you know about that vamp. What are you? Like a Vampire hunter?”

“No I’m not a Vampire hunter, but I will hunt them if they come on my land.”

I feel bad not being here sooner but I have been searching for Dallah the Princess of the Light Coven, I have been trying to persuade her to see Den, to try to find out why he and his Wolf have not connected fully. Den has the scent and the traits of a Wolf, however, it has been hard to track her down, asking favors from other supernatural’s is a thing I hate to do.

“Will you come by my home tomorrow? I would like you to meet a few of the pack?”

Again he just nods, it’s natural to a
Werewolf to use the world ‘pack’, I take that as a good sign.

“Yeah that would be cool, it will have to be after work though, about 5:30?”

I want to see how he reacts being surrounded by other
Wolves.

“Ok that’s fine. How has Zara been?”

“Yeah she’s good at putting up a front.” He tells me, followed by a low growl. I feel bad not speaking to Zara when I came to the club, I could smell her overwhelming scent of wild orchid and warm cinnamon, but I’ve yet to see her.

That first time I saw Zara on the day she and Den arrived, I wanted her more than my next breath. To hold her, to kiss her perfect plump rose tinted lips while breathing in her overwhelming scent. Her beauty is like nothing I have ever seen, she is breathtaking and her body is like a gift from God. I need her to be mine, she is not one of us, but my Wolf goes mad for her, as do I.

I am a little angered at Ruk for revealing himself to Zara, I wanted to be the one introduce her to the pack and show her my Wolf when she was ready. To be the first to see her beautiful face when she saw wonder of the change.

The atmosphere changes and my Wolf goes on alert. Lifting my head higher, the smell of death hits me. Shit Zara!

‘He’s here again, keep close to Zara’s side Julian, and restrain her if you have to!’

I tell my Julian my Delta and my
enforcers telepathically.

‘Zara is safe. He’s not in here, we can’t smell him, Dom and I are coming out.’
Ruk tells me though our connection.

“That smell? Is that fucking Vampire back again? Zara!” Den says angrily.

“No he’s out here. Julian is with her, she is safe.” I tell him with authority. Just then, Parrise walks through the opening of trees. My Wolf is trying to release itself; I push him back with all my power.

“Parrise, why are you here? You have been warned!”

“Sallack, nice to see you too! I do as I please, you know that! I want Zara, so I will have her,” Parrise tells us with a smug look. Den and I stand in fighting mode, growls tearing from our throats. How dare he come on
my
territory and speak of
my
Zara in this way, she will never be his, EVER!

Ruk and Dom come around the back of the building in Wolf form, howling into the night, warning the Vampire of their presence.

“Ah the dogs, I see you have a new pup! Does he know?” Parrise asks, looking from Den to me for our reaction.

“Leave or we will rip you apart. You will never lay a hand on Zara again!”

“Oh hush Wolf, I
will
have Zara in my arms, or shall I say bed?” He taunts with a wink. Fucking bloodsucker. When I get hold of him I will rip him apart. Just as I permit my Wolf take over, Parrise jumps up onto the club roof and disappears into the night.

“I WILL FIND YOU PARRISE, I SWEAR TO IT!” My voice booms, as I let my Alpha power extend through the night. Fierce anger ripples through me, then need to rip that smug fuckers head from he’s cold pale body overwhelms me. No one will take her away from me, she
is
mine and that is the way it will be from now on. It seems every man wants her for his own, even Theo, the Alpha from our rival pack. I killed his father and uncle when I was just 18 years old and I will tear him to pieces if he even looks at Zara again. Parrise is just as deluded to think such things, I will never see them together. I have heard tales of the life he leads, also the victory of his battles, gaining admiration from his fellow Vampires. I know he is powerful, but does he know that I am also powerful! Parrise does not know of the things I have done, and will do to him and his people if they lay their hands on what is mine. I need to keep an eye on Den also, we all notice how close they are, he is always touching her, which really pisses me off. I’ll have to put up with it until we are mated, then he will know not to touch where only my hands should be, and if he does, I will have full authority to rip him apart. I will do the same to any Wolf, Vampire, Warlock or human who thinks they will have her as theirs. She will become my mate, and I’ll have her sweet little body lying beside me in my bed, making love to her, treasuring her how she deserves, forever. I will never give her up.

She is MINE.

Zara

“Let go of me Julian, I just need to step outside for a moment, please?” I plead with him for the third time, whilst trying to get out of his bear like grip. Why won’t the let me out? Is he speaking with Sallack telepathically?

“Zara you don’t understand. Just calm down?”

“I just need to see Den!”

“Their back look.” He points over to Den and Sallack walking in. Where are Ruk and Dom? I saw them go out the fire exit in the back of the building. I run over to them, hugging Den and checking him for injuries.

“Are you hurt, is anyone hurt?”

“He got away,” Den tells me angrily.

Thank
God, now I breathe can easier. Even though I’m angry with Parrise for causing trouble with the Wolves I don’t want him hurt, there is something about him that appeals to me, like he really needs me, loves me, and as wrong as it is I think I love him.

I let go of Den and turn to Sallack, who is now frowning at me growling deeply. Ruk told me that Werewolves are extremely protective and dominant; they won’t tolerate another male touching their woman. However, Den is my world; I won’t stop consoling him when he needs me. Stepping up to Sallack, I bring my arms up to his neck entwining my fingers behind his neck and kiss his lips soothingly.

“Are you ok?” I ask in a hushed tone.

“I am now, yes.”

He takes my face in his hands, kissing me almost angrily, his lips
crushing mine beneath his, his tongue pushing past them melding with my own making love to my mouth, staking his claim. I have to pull myself away before I really embarrass myself in front of everyone that has stopped to watch, which really is everyone Damn it!

Ruk and
Den growl at Sallack holding me in his arms, Sallack raises an eyebrow in a questioning manner to them both, daring them to continue.

“Close the club. Everyone back on pack land!” Sallack orders harshly. Nevertheless, his orders are followed through without a word as Dom and Will clear the partygoers out and lock up behind them.

As we all travel to Sallack’s home, we get to see an enormous three-story mansion, surrounded in acres of land.

“Wow it’s beautifully, this is where you live?” I turn to see Sallack’s satisfied look.

“Yes it’s our home,” He tells me, squeezing my hand gently. We all get out of the cars and head into Sallack’s wonderful home. The door opens to a wide hall, at the end of the hall is a stylish open planned kitchen, the stairs leading up to the other floors are on our right. We enter the room to the left, there are big brown leather couches spotted around a big hard wood coffee table sat in the middle of the room. We all take seats waiting for someone to break the silence.

I have sat next to
Den, Sallack is standing by the now closed door, Ruk, Julian, Dom and Mickey are scattered on the other two large couches. The first thing I think is; that I’m in a room full of Werewolves, only they don’t know I’m aware that I have already assumed their identity. The second thought is; why are we here? I look at Sallack who is looking at Ruk, I wonder if they are speaking telepathically.

“Ok I’m sorry for this Den, Zara, but I’m going to be blunt. We don’t have time to wait for you to be ready.”

Den takes my hand and places it on his knee covered by his, while his other arms pulls me by the waist into him, in a protective manner. Sallack and Ruk both growl in annoyance of our closeness. I roll my eyes at them both making Julian, Dom and Mickey snicker.

“Ok, here it goes!”

With that
, his body shimmers and there in Sallack’s place, is a large black Wolf with gold eyes. I knew it! All eyes are on Den and I, waiting for acknowledgement of Sallack’s shifting into his Wolf. I take a deep breath from the pure beauty of Sallack’s Wolf. His gold eyes start to glow as I watch him in wonderment, the midnight black color of his coat, just like his hair, he is larger than Ruk’s Wolf. Sallack strides up to us and tilts his head to the side. Den is being very quiet so I to look to him, his attention is looked on Sallack’s Wolf with his mouth open. I take the opening to place my hand on Sallack’s Wolves face.

“Hey boss man,” I whisper in a low tone and I place a kiss on his head. Sallack nudges my hand and licks my wrist. Looking at Sallack in Wolf form in breathtaking, my heart pounds against my chest; I am so honored to be here with such incredible men and beasts.

“Is this for real? Why the fuck am I not freaking out.” Den turns to face me head me saying loudly,

“Why aren’t you freaking out?”

My gaze travels to
Ruk; he nods at my unspoken question as I turn to lock eyes with Den.

“Ruk is the Wolf that fought with Parrise last night, he showed himself to me this morning.”

His gaze travels to Ruk across the
room.

“Really?”

“Yes, it was me.” Ruk tells him proudly.

“Well shit! Are you all like this?” He asks looking at every one in turn. They all nod their heads once, with big smiles. Sallack uses this time to change back to his human form. He lifts me from the sofa without a word, just a growl. He takes me away from the other’s striding up the stairs to what looks like his bedroom, neither of us speaking.

The bedroom is massive and predominately male, the bed has black and gold sheets, there are wardrobes to the right and chest of draws on either side of the bed.

He sit
s me on the bed softly.

“You knew I was a Werewolf?”

“Yes, I figured it out.”

“What else have you figured out?”

“That you’re Alpha. Ruk told me he is your Beta, and I think Julian is your Delta and that Dom and Mickey are your enforcers.”

He kisses me with tender lips, slow and loving.

“Yes, that’s right. Why are you not nervous around us?”

“I know you have no intentions of frightening me, I have never seen anything as magnificent as I have you in Wolf form.”

He sighs and picks me up to straddle his lap.

“I think I’m in love with you Zara.”

He diverts his eyes fro
m mine! Does he think I won’t accept his love?

I meet his cool gaze again, clinging onto his wide shoulders.

“Well I
do
love you Sallack.”

Sallacks stands wi
th me, still holding me and lays me down on the bed, leaning into me, his mouth descending on mine with greed; a moan escapes my lips as my fingers map the planes of his muscular chest as I desperately try to deepen the kiss. He breaks away first, making me moan from the loss of his lips.

“Be mine Zara?”

“Mine? You want me to be your girlfriend?”

“I want you to be mine and only mine, I want to love you, treasure you and tell other wolves that you are mine so they know to stay away from you?”

“I have been yours since the day we met Sallack.” I tell him meaning every word. I have found the man of my dreams and he wants me back, I couldn’t be more content.”

He pulls me to him as he kisses me on the lips then travels down my neck
and nips at me gently.

“Beautiful I need you to stay away from Parrise and Theo; they are not the men you think they are.”

“I have not seen Theo since that night; I will stay away from him. As for Parrise, I have no intentions of seeing him, not because I don’t want to, but because I don’t want any more fighting. He really isn’t the evil person you see him as.”

“Good enough. For now! Den wants to see you, let’s head back, we can talk more.”

“Ok Alpha, just one more minute,” I say with a huge grin, holding him tightly to me. He laughs at me and pulls me to my feet.

“You have no idea the effects you have no me Zara, no idea.”

“Neither do you.”

We enter the sitting room again and Den is laughing aloud, seeing that he is so relaxed with everyone makes me ecstatic. I sit beside him as he laces an arm over my shoulder, which I happily lean in to him, both ignoring the growl coming from Sallack.

“What’s funny?”

“Well looks like you were right all along, the guys were saying they think I’m like them, a Werewolf!”

My eyes locate S
allack standing by the window as he watch’s us speak to one another.

“Sallack is it true, Is Den like you all?”

“Yes we have seen the traces of the Wolf in you; we can all sense you as one of our kind Den.”

“Wow, this is amazing, I knew you were special,” I say to him, looking deeply into his brilliant green eyes.

“Yeah. You know I have always felt empty inside. You were the only one who kept me going, kept me focused.”

“Just like you have me, I love you.”

Den is the one person who’s taken care of me, given me a family and loved me unconditionally. I am on cloud nine right now, a happy tear tails down my cheek and I quickly wipe it away as all of the men in the room get up to comfort me, making me laugh at the way they react to a crying girl.

“We will all take care of you like our own; you are our family now and always Zara.”

“Thank you Julian that’s a very sweet of you, I’m honored you would say such a thing.”

“Do you know why I have never known I am Werewolf?” Den asks Sallack. This is the question that has been playing on my mind.

“No, I have been trying to find a Witch with power strong enough to see into your heart and soul, see why you have not connected to your Wolf.”

Den and I say in harmony, when Sallack finishes.

              “Witches, there real to?”

“Yes,” Sallack says simply.

“What else is there?” Den asks with excitement in his voice. God I love this man.

“Well, us the Werewolf’s, Vampires, Witches and the Warlocks.”

“Wow, this is amazing, what are Witches and Warlocks like?” I ask excitedly.

“We do not know much about how they live, but there powers range from what families they come from, the Princess I have been looking for is one of the strongest around or so I have heard, but they think that are superior to the Werewolves and Vampires so it has been difficult to persuade her into coming here.”

What is the princess like?
Where do they live? The questions run around my head, but I know only a Witch or Warlock could give me answers?

“So do I call you Alpha now?” Den asks Sallack in a playful manner, after we are told that Sallack is Alpha and Ruk, his Beta, Julian, his Delta, Mickey and Dom his enforcers.

“When the time comes yes, that’s if you want to be a part of our pack Den, we would be honored to have you?”

“It would be my honor. Thank you for accepting me, it means a lot.” Den tells Sallack, making my heart swell with pride towards him, from the look on the brothers’ faces; they are elated at his choice to join them and their pack.

I can
’t believe I’m in love with an Alpha of a large Werewolf pack! A really HOT Alpha!

We sit up until four in the morning talking about the ways of the man and his beast, the telepathy and the bonds between the 5 men.

Sallack strong arms lift me into his lap as I eventually fall asleep to the rumble of his deep voice from his chest against my face, as he tells us of his travels around the country seeking the Princess of the light Coven, Dallah. What a beautiful name, as soon as he said her name a smile spread over my face, as if it means something in a way, which is strange.
