“I
vote for just telling us what you’ve learned.” Ty glanced at me.

Samuel
stood there for a silent minute as if considering the next best step.

“Ty
and Victoria, please leave.” Samuel sighed. Ty began to say something, but
Samuel snarled at him.

“We’ll
get the carriage and meet you near the sewer opening.” Ty guided an annoyed
Victoria down the hallway.

“Let’s
get this over with,” Samuel said as Ian held his wrist out and came right
behind me. They sandwiched me together. Both of the men’s hard, muscular bodies
pressed into mine. Behind me, Ian inhaled. His chest vibrated against my back.
His erections throbbed against my behind. Despite my not wanting them to, my
nipples stiffened and heat gathered in places it shouldn’t have.

“Is
this being so close to me necessary?” I asked.

“Definitely,”
Ian whispered.

“I
don’t want him touching me.” Samuel’s fangs extended. “Also, keep some space
between you and my queen.”

Ian
edged back. “Hurry with the bite. I’m ready to breathe fresh air. And when you
sink your fangs inside of my wrists, push a few hormones in, and inside your
head, say you are my king. That should do it.”

Samuel
yanked Ian’s wrist to his mouth and pierced his skin. Two uncomfortable minutes
passed.

A
stream of red light materialized in front of us. I turned to face Ian when
Samuel removed his fangs. Thick fogs of blood chains emerged around Ian’s neck,
wrists, and ankles. They swayed, but remained around him.

“Now
release me.” Ian gazed down at the magical blood chains.

“I
release you from the spell.”

The
blood chains thinned until I could see through them. In some areas, the links
unwound and opened, breaking apart. The blood evaporated slowly, from a thick
mist to a thin vapor, and then finally nothing. Ian clapped his hands and
roared. The noise rocked the small sewer tunnel. I stepped behind Samuel as my
nerves flickered with anxiety.

“Let’s
celebrate like we did in the old days! Wine, blood, and women!” Ian yelled and
blurred off into the tunnel toward the party.

Chapter Ten

Ian
flung money in the tiny space of our wagon as we trekked through Capitol City.
I had provided four vials of my blood for the money. My body trembled with
weakness. Samuel had forced me to eat food and drink water.

“Yes.
First lovely lady that undresses gets more pocks.” Ian held up several bills in
his hand.

The
human women laughed, snatching off as much clothes as they could and yanking
off their boots. Zumayan mushroom smoke thickened the air. Although I didn’t
smoke any, my head buzzed every time I inhaled. Half-naked human women crowded
the area that Ian sat on, forcing me to sit on Samuel’s lap. We’d already
dropped Victoria and Ty off at home after taking Ian shopping and waiting for
him to make love to two random females in a park. We’d picked up more women
near a market. I worried that Ian was doing his hormone mist thing to get these
women so quickly, but he swore he wasn’t and that human women could sense the
power in his blood and were naturally attracted to it.

“You
have two.” The brown-haired woman with huge naked breasts giggled and covered
her mouth. “Look. He has two.”

They
peered over at Ian and stared as he opened his new pants.

I
turned away and looked at Samuel. “How much longer should we allow him to party
until we ask him more questions?”

Samuel
exhaled. Brown smoke spilled out from his lips. A large wooden pipe sat in his
right hand.

“What
are you doing?” I snatched the pipe from Samuel as he laughed.

“Enjoying
myself.” He kissed the back of my neck and then lightly bit me.

I
handed the pipe back to Ian who waved it away. Ian gazed down at the two women
stroking his cocks in their hands. The other women caressed his chest and
pressed their lips against his face. Not knowing what else to do with the pipe,
I unsnapped the window, threw the pipe out, and pulled the glass until it
closed.

Hopefully, no little vampire
children discover it.

I
sat back down next to Samuel. “The sun will be rising soon. I’m going to end Ian’s
celebration.”

“No.
Don’t. We can talk in the sewer once the sun comes up.” Samuel slid his hands
up to the top of my strapless gown and kissed the swell of my breasts. “I want
you right now.”

“You
can have me later.” I moved his hands away.

“I
want you now.” He pulled at the bottom of my dress and slipped his hands up my
leg. A delicious shiver ran through me. “Relax, my queen. We already know the
King wants you because you’re a blood mage.”

I’d
caught Samuel up on everything Ian told me in the bathroom. The problem was, I
still didn’t understand why the King kept me for those two years in the castle
and never bred with me. Even more, why did he have the guards destroy Freemont
and try to kill Leeta? Why not just order the guards to search for me and if
they didn’t find me, to move on?

“I
need to fill you right now and feel your sugary wetness against my skin.”
Samuel massaged my thigh.

“No.
Not in front of everybody and not in the wagon.”

With
hooded eyes, he smiled at me and brushed his fingertips against my panties.
“Can my fingers at least have some fun? I want to slip them inside of you.”

I
giggled. “We should focus on getting more information.”

He
hooked the edge of my panties with his finger and guided them down. I moistened
between my thighs at the thought of his fingers so close to me. A loud rumble
sounded from the other side of the wagon. Samuel and I both snapped our faces
to Ian.

“Your
arousal smells so good, little queen.” Ian waved the women away, pushing their
hands off him and placing his erections back into his pants. “It’s sweet and
enchanting. It makes me yearn to taste you.”

Samuel’s
body stiffened next to me, but thankfully he didn’t growl or push out his
horns. He’d been battling with controlling his rage all night so he wouldn’t
give his royal status away to the human women in our wagon.

“Relax,
Samuel.” Ian raised his hand as if to say
stop.
“I have no intention of taking your queen from you, nor do I think it’s
possible. Brie is too far gone in your haze. My mist has no effect on her.”

“Mist?”
Samuel sneered.

“I’ll
explain later.” I combed my fingers through his hair. “Trust me. It’s no big
deal.”

Ian
grinned. “But even if it was possible to steal Brie from you, I wouldn’t. I’m
too familiar with losing a first…love and wouldn’t want to cause that type of
pain on any prince.”

“That’s
good to know,” Samuel muttered.

“Tell
us about her and how it’s relative to me,” I said as Samuel turned his face to
my arm and kissed my skin, inhaling my scent and gliding his fingers along the
outline of my panties.

Ian
gently knocked the wall behind him. Our wagon stopped. Our servant appeared at
the metal side door and opened it. “Sir?”

“Thank
you, ladies, but tonight our fun must end.” Ian gestured for them to leave. A
few whined and pouted as they stepped out of the vehicle. Others counted their
money with glee. As soon as they left, our servant closed the door and within a
few seconds, the wagon moved.

“How
much danger do you think Brie is in?” Samuel asked between landing kisses on my
arm. I trembled under his lips. My nipples hardened. I inched away and Samuel
tugged me back.

“Look
at him.” Ian shook his head at Samuel. “Impending danger ahead and he can
barely control himself enough to not touch you while we discuss this. Oh, how I
miss the ripening phase.”

“Please
answer the question, Ian.” I stirred in my seat as under my dress, Samuel
yanked my panties down. My gown’s material continued to cover his hands, but I
was sure Ian knew exactly what he was doing.

Ian
gazed at Samuel’s lips each time they made contact with my skin on my shoulder.
“Like I told you before, my father’s goal was to make sure Capitol City
possessed good relations with mage tribes. He was only successful with Tribe
Wind and invited the chief and his family to our castle.”

“Stop
it, Samuel,” I whispered, squeezed my thighs together, and clamped them against
Samuel’s hand so he wouldn’t try to touch me any further. A deep growl
thundered from Samuel’s chest. His eyes brightened as he targeted me with them.

“Let
Samuel touch you.” Ian licked his lips. “I don’t mind. He’s hungry for you.
When was the last time he drank your blood?”

“At
dusk.”

“Then
he should feed again,” Ian said.

“For
once, I agree with Ian.” Samuel pushed out his fangs and separated my thighs
with his hand.
He can’t see what I’m
doing.
Samuel’s voice entered my mind.
Open
your legs wider, my queen. Your dress is covering everything.

I
swallowed and widened my legs some more for him. “Go ahead with your story,
Ian.”

“Phinova
was the daughter of Tribe Wind’s chief.” Ian’s lips curled up at the edges. “A
blood mage can be born in any tribe. However, the birth signals the parents’
lack of faith in the goddess, so as you can assume, many little blood mages
were secretly killed or given away. I’m sure your real parents gave you to the
humans that raised you in Zumaya.”

I
flinched. “Or my parents who raised me could’ve been mage.”

“Perhaps.”
Ian shrugged, but doubt glazed his eyes. “Tribe Wind was more educated than the
other tribes. They didn’t believe blood mages were curses or symbols of
spiritual uncertainty. Wind was the first tribe to realize the power in their
blood and diluted it enough to create healing medicines for trade with other
creatures. Phinova was a valuable source to Tribe Wind. But even more
important, she was breathtakingly beautiful. Any male—vampire, human, elfkin,
or mage—was captivated with her.”

“And
you and the Quiet King both fell in love with Phinova?” Samuel’s fingers ripped
my panties away. The sound filled the wagon. I gritted my teeth.
He’s lost it.

Ian’s
smile widened until I could see his fangs sliding out of his gums. “The tribe
remained in the kingdom for a month. The chief and my father exchanged
information. Things like cultivating land, building techniques, and new
inventions.”

Samuel
outlined my now damp folds with his fingers and buried his face into my
cleavage, rubbing his cheek against my breasts. His horns emerged, pushing
through his forehead. They shined in the moonlight. Any other time I would have
moaned and undressed. The urge for him to rub those horns against my nipples
ripped through me as fast as they had appeared. I struggled to breath and edged
away from Samuel, but he followed.

“Phinova
was the most beautiful woman we’d ever seen.” Ian continued, but now his voice
came out hoarse and edged with need as he ogled the tops of my breasts. “Both
my brother and I were only princes at the time. We were allowed to show her
around the city that whole month. None of us vampires knew what a blood mage
was back then, so I believe the chief assumed she was safe as long as her
watchers trailed us. Unfortunately for him, it took barely a week for me to
fall for her. Nai followed soon after.”

“I
can’t picture the Quiet King in love,” I said.

“Nai
was a different vampire back then. He could talk, see, and hear. Believe it
not, he also loved to sing and dance.” Ian paused and turned his attention back
to my dress just as Samuel’s finger entered me.

Those
soft pads skated along my wet walls. Blood rushed to my clitoris. It plumped
under Samuel’s circling thumb.
Goddess. I
can barely pay attention to Ian.
I bit my lip and stifled a moan. It lodged
in my throat, begging me to release it. I became so wet, both Ian and Samuel’s
nostrils flared as they groaned in unison.

“Let
him feed, little queen,” Ian whispered. “If you’re worried about me looking,
don’t be. You see, I’m used to sharing and watching.”

“I
won’t be sharing her with you.” Samuel’s thumb strummed my aching bud as though
he were playing a guitar.

“Blasted!”
I shrieked with pleasure and shoved him away. “Enough. What has gotten into
you?”

“I’m
hungry.” Samuel groaned.

I
hit Samuel’s chest and climbed away from those magical fingers. “Not now. I
can’t even concentrate.”

Samuel
snarled but remained where he was and licked his fingers. “Hurry with your
story, Ian.”

“Such
a feisty one, little queen.” Ian grinned. “Nai and I are twins. We spent every
moment together, protected each other, and shared everything, from toys to
valuable treasures, property to food. So, when we both confessed to each other
that we were both in love with Phinova, there was no argument or battle, no
rage or sadness. We simply decided that we would share her too.”
