“So
they believe their life’s work is to kill vampires?” I muttered.
“Very
smart.”
“There
were centuries of wars between us, way before you or I were born, and I’m a
pretty old vampire. Two hundred years old. Then, of course, there was the Great
War that my brother incited against other vampire kings and then against the
mages.”
“Why
would he kill other kings? Wouldn’t he want to kill all the mages first?”
“You’re
asking the wrong questions. The question is; why did everyone want to kill
blood mages like you?” He grinned. “You do see why mages would want to kill a
blood mage, whose blood creates vampires, one that could easily create vampires
out of humans?”
“Yes.
Why would vampires want to kill me then?”
“Because
then the food supply goes away. Vampires grow up so quickly and take forever to
die. The last thing we needed is more ways to populate the world with us. And
the king that you gave blood to would be more powerful than the others.” He got
off the sink and came to me. “I think I’ve satisfied enough questions to receive
more blood. Don’t you?”
“But
you’re fully healed.”
He
leaned his head to the side. “Actually, I’m not. Would you like me to show you
the part I want returned?”
“No.”
I extended my hand to him. “Here, take the blood.”
“You’re
weak there. Let me drink from somewhere else.” Within seconds, he pulled me to
him and sank his fangs into my neck. A cold tingling sensation skittered across
my flesh as if I were naked and had jumped into a pool of ice-cold water. Then
my body warmed almost immediately. My nipples hardened. My sex clenched. Images
of Ian and me rubbing our naked bodies together danced in my head.
What are you doing?
I whimpered.
This is how it feels when an
adult king bites you.
Ian’s
voice caressed me.
The things I could do
to you would bring you great enjoyment.
I don’t want it.
I dug my fingernails into his
neck.
Stop!
He
took his fangs away. I stumbled back. Groaning, Ian dove his hands into his
pants. “My god I never thought I would feel them again.”
I
caught my breath. “Feel what?”
He
rubbed himself under his pants’ material. His throat vibrated with a low whine
as he targeted me with his hungry eyes. “Come here, little queen.”
“No.”
With his images and fangs gone, my body’s lusty reaction disappeared. I hugged
myself, shocked at how easily he could trigger need within me with just one
bite.
“Perhaps
you need a little help with listening to me.” Lust glazed over his copper eyes.
A red vapor spurt from the pores all over his face and lingered in the air.
What in Ambi’s name just
happened?
I
jerked back, waved away the tiny fog, and coughed. It felt warm and damp on my
skin. “What is this?”
“Nothing.”
He blurred to me as I inhaled some of it and swayed back. “Just relax.”
Blinking
a few times, I shoved him away. “I don’t want to know.”
“Please.
It’s been so long and my cocks ache so much from being newly formed.” He
massaged himself under the material of his pants. “They beg for release.”
“No!”
I scanned the bathroom for something sharp and wooden, but of course, there
wasn’t anything around. My heart banged against my chest. My body shook in
terror. “I give you my trust and blood and in turn, you want to rape me?”
Sighing,
Ian paused, released me, and moved away. “My plan is not to rape you.”
“Then
what is it?” I gritted my teeth.
“You’re
supposed to be overtaken by my mist and allow me to make love to you.”
“That
red fog you pushed out of your face was the mist?”
“Yes.
It’s a part of being a king. It gets women in the mood to breed.”
“I
don’t want to breed with you.” I hurried to the door. “And I’m definitely not
in the mood.”
“Don’t
leave.” He backed away. “It seems my nephew has chosen well. I’ll need to feed
my cocks to another.”
I
swallowed and turned around. “Cocks?”
He
pulled out two large and thick erections. They sat right on top of each other
and pointed at me like two meaty swords. My mouth dropped open. Never before
had I seen anything like it. Most of me filled with terror at the monstrosity
of one man possessing two erections. Whereas, a tiny part of me, deep inside
the dark areas of my body, moistened with curiosity and desired to experience
the things he could do with them.
No. That wouldn’t be right.
“You’re
curious. Aren’t you?” He slipped both of his hands to their mushroomed tips. A
low moan ripped from his throat. He rocked into his hand and stroked himself
some more. My body’s temperature increased. I gritted my teeth and battled with
myself to turn around and leave. My breasts felt so heavy and a fiery awareness
brushed against my body, rubbing back and forth between my thighs like a
lover’s caress. I didn’t want to have sex with Ian, but as he continued to pump
his tight fists with those two engorged weapons and gaze at me with hooded
eyes, I didn’t want to look away. It was like I was hypnotized by his desire
and wanted to see the end of his torture, to witness how much he could come
from just looking at me.
“When
Samuel was between your legs, the room was thick with your arousal.” He
squeezed the tips and licked his lips. “I would have come if my cocks hadn’t
already rotted away.”
I
closed my eyes and sighed. Ian’s mentioning of Samuel was all I needed to
return back to reality. “I won’t have sex with you. I already have a lover that
I’m more than satisfied with. I need your help and I want to trust you, but—”
“You
can trust me.” Ian blew out a breath of fresh air. “You’ve given me back my
body and I can feel my power returning. I’m grateful to you.”
“This
doesn’t show me your gratitude.”
“Again,
you’re correct. I tend to go too far. I won’t ever hurt or take advantage of
you.”
I
opened my eyes and turned away from him. “Then put…them away.”
“Where
should I put them? Please tell me and I will immediately oblige. Where can I
put them, little queen?”
“In
your pants,” I said through clenched teeth.
“As
you wish, Queen.”
The
sound of fabric moving came from behind me. I opened my eyes and prayed it was
Ian closing his pants. Metal screeched. The bathroom door ripped off of its
hinges. Samuel growled and charged into the room.
Chapter Nine
“Samuel,
don’t!” I stumbled back from the force of his huge, bulging form. His body was
pumped up twice as large as it normally was. It frightened and amazed me. Heat
and rage radiated from his skin. He knocked Ian into the wall. The metal
cracked from the impact. Shards exploded around them. Samuel got in front of
Ian, their noses only an inch away, the thick curve of his horns smashed into
the wall on each side of Ian’s face. Too my surprise, Ian only leaned back with
a bored expression.
“Should
I be concerned, my queen?” Samuel’s voice thundered. His eyes blazed.
“N-no.”
I hurried to him and touched his back. “Nothing happened and nothing was going
to happen.”
“This
vampire’s pants are open and he’s hard,” Samuel growled.
“She’s
beautiful. Of course I have erections.” Ian smiled. “But sadly, your queen has
no intentions of sleeping with me.”
“Ian?”
Samuel yanked his horns back. “You have eyes.”
I
seized the opportunity to slide between them. “Calm down, Samuel. I gave Ian my
blood for more information. His body is returning to him. He got a little carried
away, but I handled it.”
“I’m
here to help you both.” Ian bowed.
“And
how, pray tell, do your pants being open represent help?” Samuel’s fangs came
into view.
“As
she said, I got a bit carried away. I apologize.” Ian’s lips formed into a
straight line. “I hope you can accept my humble apology.”
“I
do.” I turned to Samuel. “Trust me. Absolutely nothing was going to happen. I’m
not interested in him.”
Samuel
growled, but still, I advanced his way, not happy with the hurt etched on his
face.
“I
would never disrespect you like this. Never.”
Samuel
directed his attention to me. He formed his fingers into huge fists. Sighing, I
pressed the side of my face to his chest. His heart beat loudly in my ear.
“Trust
me,” I whispered. “Just trust me.”
Samuel
wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed me to him. “I trust you, my
queen.”
“Are
we all friends now?” Ian asked.
“Be
quiet, Ian,” I yelled.
“I’m
calm.” Samuel’s embrace tightened. “So what did this new and improved Ian have
to say to you?”
“A
whole lot, dear nephew.” Ian exited the bathroom. “But the time for information
can wait. I would like you to be my king so you can release me from that
blasted spell and let me go above ground to breathe air and fill as many women
as I can find.”
Samuel
grabbed Ian’s arm and yanked him back.
Ian
shoved him away. “You will need to control those hands from now on. My power is
returning. I won’t be grabbed by you anymore.”
I
cleared my throat. “You can’t just walk around the city.”
“Why
not?” Ian tilted his head to the side. “No one will recognize me and if they
did, they would soil their pants and run the other way.”
I
rushed out into the hallway. “Ian, I have more questions about your first queen
and—”
“I’m
hard!” Ian growled and then pouted like a spoiled baby. “I want fresh air. I’ve
been in a sewer for a hundred years. In Ambi’s name, release me, take me
outside to see the city, let me make love to four or five human women with
tight little wet cunts, and then you can ask all the blasted questions you
want.”
“Four
or five?” Victoria giggled and stepped out of the hallway’s shadow with Ty
holding her hand. “Ian, you look well. Am I to assume this is more of Brie’s
blood doing its magic?”
She’s not surprised to see Ian.
I wondered how long Ty and her
had been watching us from the shadows.
“I
gave him my blood in exchange for information,” I said.
“And
why do you need five women?” Victoria circled Ian and studied his new face and
body. “Don’t you think that’s a bit much?”
“Fine.
Two women,” Ian grumbled. “At least two.”
“Why
two?” She raised her eyebrows.
“He
has two…of them.” I pointed to Ian’s crotch.
“Oh
my!” Victoria covered her mouth. Ty and Samuel exchanged glances.
“Is
this because you’re a king or were you born that way?” Samuel asked.
“Release
me from the spell and I’ll tell you everything about being a prince and king.”
Ian grinned. “And put those horns away before we all get killed. Many vampires
in the city are old enough to know a vampire prince when they see one.”
Samuel
formed his fingers into huge fists. “I don’t know how to put them away.”
Ian
groaned, went to Samuel, and tapped both of the horns’ tips. They sucked back
into Samuel’s forehead.
“How
did you do that?” Samuel asked.
“The
horns push out when you’re aroused or aggravated. When you’re repulsed or calm,
they’ll return to that dense skull of yours.”
“That
can’t be right. I spent all day trying to calm him,” I said.
“You’re
the first queen. You can calm him, but he’ll always remain horny around you.”
Ian closed his pants and buttoned his shirt. “By me tapping his horns, he’s
repulsed enough to retract them. Now release me from the spell.”
Samuel
turned to me.
Do you really think we can
trust him?
I
nodded.
Yes. He’s already told me a lot.
“How
do I cancel the spell?” Samuel’s muscles decreased to his normal size.
“It’s
simple. You create a mental bond with me.”
Samuel
snarled. “I won’t bite you.”
“You
will if you desire to keep your queen safe,” Ian said through clenched teeth.
“You’re just a prince. You still need to have your fangs inside the person.
Don’t worry. I’m not excited about the idea either.”
“No.”
A boom rumbled from Samuel’s chest.
I
hugged Samuel to me. “Ian has the answers to our questions. In just a few
minutes with him, I’ve already learned about my blood and why Leeta is a
vampire. If you’re uncomfortable with the bite, I’ll remain touching you while
you do it.”
