Gabriel had my body pinned against the wall but not in a

way I would have imagined. His eyes were blood-red as

he forced me up against the wall with his hips.

“Gabriel baby. Please stop. You’re scaring me.” I cried

out in barely a whisper, turning my head to look away

from him.

Before he could grab my chin to face him, my body was

relieved from being pinned and I could breathe again.

My eyes quickly focused on the commotion happening

only a few feet away.

Matthew had slammed Gabriel against the wall,

breaking a few photo frames in the process as his fist

continuously made contact with Gabriel’s face.
I may not be the smartest woman on the planet, but I

knew better than to step in between a fight between two

Utley men.

Gabriel started hitting back and I could see he had lost

all sense of control. He pushed Matthew off him with full

force, sending him through the backdoor that had been

entirely made of glass. Striding through the shattered

pieces, he pounced onto Matthew and began to beat the

shit out of him.

Before I could even so much blink, my dad and Collin

rushed into the room. It took both men to prey Gabriel

off Matthew.

“Get him to Jesse. Now.” My dad commanded as he

interlocked Gabriel’s wrist behind his back, keeping his

body pinned to the hardwood floor. “Erin, go help Collin

take Matthew to Jesse. I will take care of dumbass here.”
Still in shock from the course of events that had been

happening the past few minutes, I slowly nodded my

head and did as my father asked.

I couldn’t believe Gabriel’s attitude towards me and his

own son. What in the hell would make him so angry to

act that way?!

Collin and I carried Matthew all the way to my uncle’s

private office. We laid him down on the bed in one of the

exam rooms. I cleaned up the humongous gash across

his forehead and stitched it up while Jesse hooked him

up to an IV and oxygen.

My baby sister was going to freak out when she saw

Matthew like this. I could only hope for her sake that he

heals quickly and wasn’t permanently damaged.

“How’s he doing Jesse?” Collin’s voice pulled me back

into reality.
Jesse scribbled on the paper in his clipboard and sighed.

“It’s hard to tell at this point. I have to run some tests.

Has anyone called Addison yet?”

“I’m getting ready to call her now brother.” My dad’s

voice illuminated the room.

I sat down in the small waiting area, still in shock over

the whole Gabriel ordeal. What could have possibly

made my husband so damn angry? Was the Jackson and

Emilia thing bugging him that bad?

“Hey sissy. I heard what happened.” Sammy sat down

beside me. “Maybe Gabriel’s sudden attitude change

wasn’t his fault.”

“What in the hell could have made him so pissed?” I

wondered, looking over at her.

She wrapped her arm around my shoulders. “It’s hard to

say with Gabriel, but we will get it figured out.”

Centuries ago, my husband believed he had lost me to a

horrific fire that struck our kingdom. I wasn’t dead but I

may as well have been.

Amos, Gabriel’s older and powerful brother, kidnapped

me and locked me away in his lair. The two other men

being held captive, John and Drake, helped me come up

with a plan to bust out of here. It took a while, but a few

of us managed to escape Amos’ dungeon. John and

Drake were loyal men; they would be of great use to me

on this journey.

“Are we certain he is here?” I asked them as we crossed

into the city limit where my husband supposedly lived.

John nodded reassuringly. “Of course, my queen.”
I couldn’t help but smirk. “Marvelous. This shall be fun.”

My eyes fluttered open and I could immediately sense

that something wasn’t right. The atmosphere had

drastically changed since last night.

Climbing out of bed, I went through my usual morning

routine…showered, dressed, and skipped downstairs. I

was surprised when I didn’t see Matthew in the kitchen

or anywhere in the house for that matter. It wasn’t like

him to just take off without letting me know somehow.

My cell phone rang from our bedroom and I snapped my

fingers, making it vastly appear into my hand. I cocked

my head at the name on the screen. “Dad?”

He spoke so fast I could hardly understand him.

“Dad. Calm down. I’m on my way.” I hung up the phone

and darted out the door.
As much as I loathe phasing into my wolf form, I didn’t

have any other choice since it was the fastest way to get

to my Uncle Jesse’s private clinic.

I growled while my body phased. My mind focused

solely on Matthew as I ran. Dad yelled something about

Matthew and Gabriel getting into a huge fight.

Something of that nature which didn’t surprise me one

bit; the Utley men are constantly fighting and having

pissing wars!

Phasing back to human form, I strolled into the clinic

and immediately felt the sadness. I followed Matthew’s

scent while hoping he wasn’t too badly injured.

Everyone in the room…my dad, Erin, Emily, Jesse, and

even Sammy…stared at me with tears welding in their

eyes. I wanted to ask them what was wrong but my

mouth refused to open in order to speak.
“Addison. My future queen, I am so sorry to have failed

you. I’ve repaired him the best I could.” My Uncle Jesse

finally spoke. “We’re not sure if he’s going to make it.”

Stepping aside so I could see what he was talking about.

My Matthew was completely unconscious, lying on the

hospital-like bed. His face was all bruised and there had

been a long stitch across his forehead. The tubes in his

nostrils were hooked up to a machine beside him.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Not even a few

hours ago, he had been snuggling with me in our bed;

telling me how much he loved me. Now he’s in a hospital

bed fighting for his life? Something just wasn’t right

here!

“He and Gabriel got into a huge fight. They wouldn’t let

up off each other. Dad and I tried. I’m so sorry Addie.”

Erin’s voice was almost a whisper when she talked.
My dad ushered everybody out of the room to give me

and Matthew some time alone.

I sat beside my husband’s legs, taking his hands in mine

and gently kissing his fingers. “Matthew, you can’t do

this to me. I won’t allow it. We promised each other

forever and dammit, it’s too early for our forever to be

over…”

My voice began to crack and I had to take a few seconds

to regain my strength. His monitors beeped like they

were supposed to; which was somewhat a relief.

“Baby, there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you

for the past few days. But you have to pull through and

come back to me. Please come back to me baby…”

I paused again to catch my breath and allowed the tears

to flow down my cheeks. I didn’t want my fiancé hearing

the sound of a blubbering idiot.
“I promise to be a better woman for you…I’ll cook and

clean more, completely naked if you want. Hell, I will

even wear all of those outfits you make just for me. You

just have to come back to me. Please come back to me.

Don’t leave me baby…”

I stared at his handsome face…well tried to considering

the tears were still flowing out my eyes like a waterfall.
There’s no way in hell our journey was over…right?
Sneak Peak of
Blood Lies,
The Utley
Tribe:
Part II
-Emilia Utley

Six months. That is how long it took for me to reach the

physical age of sixteen. My parents were none too

thrilled about my rapid growth, but it’s out of everyone’s

control when a wolf imprints at such a young age.

Jackson Utley is the sweetest and kindest soul on this

planet. He also happens to be my cousin; which has

caused so much tension between our parents. Our

mothers were on the same page with each other…they

believe that a wolf can’t control who they imprint on;

related or not, it’s inescapable.

Gabriel and my father feel the exact opposite on this

matter. They strongly believe Jackson and I shouldn’t be

together since we are related. I would completely agree if

our family were normal…and human.

My mother
and
my aunt are married to their dad’s, my

grandfather, brothers. Sure they may not be biologically
related, but the men are a hell of a lot older than what

they appear.

I love Jackson with all of my heart and soul. There is

absolutely no way I’m going to let a couple of egotistical

assholes come between us.

“Millie, are you still worried about our dads?” Jackson

asked as he climbed into bed, reeling my nearly naked

body into his.

I shrugged while staring at his neck, taunting me to

press my lips on it. Whenever I would start kissing

Jack’s neck, he would flash that killer smile I loved so

much. He’d mumble something about where my kissing

would lead, place my hand on his growing bulge, and

ended up caving in to make love to me after a few

minutes of rubbing him.

His hand felt up my thigh, stopping to absorb the heat

coming from my sex. He trailed his fingertips over my
gender and grinned. “Oh wow baby. Crotch-less panties.

Somebody was anticipating some sex.” Crawling on top

of me after pulling off his boxers; sliding his erection

into my very wet and anxious vagina.

I moaned out in pure pleasure as he began to thrust.

Making love to Jackson was the absolute best thing ever.

He liked to start off slow until our bodies became

adapted to each other and once they did…HOLY SHIT!

Jackson loved to be sweet and sensual, but damn was he

even more amazing rough and wild. I had never felt

anything so intense when he’d fuck me so hard

practically all night long that I could hardly move the

next morning.

We haven’t been sleeping with each other for very long.

He was the shy and quiet type. I had to be the one to

decide when we would do it.
“Emilia! Marry me!” He moaned loudly as he released

himself into me.

I stared into his eyes after shattering with him. “Did you

just propose?”

He stopped and carefully pulled out. “I believe I did.”

Laying down next to me under the covers, pulling my

body closer to his. “Do you want to marry me?”

“Well, I think the answer is obvious.” I kissed his bare

chest after rolling myself on top of him.

I could already feel his erection press against my still

wet sex.

Ahh yes…another all-nighter!

The next morning, I loathed the thought of going to my

parents’ house and bumping into my dad. I didn’t have
any choice in the matter since I had to gather the rest of

my belongings from the guest house.

I quickly opened the door to the miniature house and

dashed into the bedroom. “Oh damn! I’m so sorry.”

Turning around to face the door I had just shut not even

From what I saw of the man underneath the sheet, he

was completely naked and hadn’t been awake very

long…his morning wood easily gave that away.

I felt completely mortified barging in on this guy. My

parents could have at least warned me about the boarder

in the guest house!

“It’s alright. I’m decent now.” A masculine voice

sounded from behind me.

Closing my eyes, I took in a deep breath and released it.

I turned back around to face him. My jaw nearly hit the
hardwood floor as my eyeballs absorbed every bit of his

masculinity from the waistline up.

His abdomen was perfectly trimmed. The man had a V

line directing onlookers straight to his dick. It should be

illegal for a guy to be this damn gorgeous!

“Sorry for barging in on you like that. I didn’t know
