Carson taps on the d
oor gently. “Lil, are you okay? May I come in?” he asks in a soft, worried tone. Pushing my blames aside, I wash my tears away and open the door to his open arms. “I love you, please don’t shut me out,” he pleads. “We need each other, I need you.” He leans into my lips and kisses me gently. My response to his lips isn’t the same. The troubled expression on his face tells me he’s feeling it too as soon as our lips part.

We’re flying back to Boston this morning. Carson finally disclosed his problem to me last night in hope of convincing me to voluntarily come back with him. Who’s he kidding? My only choice is Boston, willingly or unwillingly. After what had happened to me, regardless if it’s related or not to this problem, he swore he’ll never let me out of his sight again. Carson is in full-blown, overprotective mode, and I’m going to be held captive in his penthouse tower until he finds his missing researchers and the person or persons responsible for the attempted destruction of our beginning of forever.

Ending with Forever

Please follow me
to get updates for my last book in the series, where Carson and Lillian will hopefully find their happy ‘Ending with Forever.’ I hope that you’ve enjoyed their beginning and look forward to their ending. Please feel free to contact me and leave your opinion. I’d love to hear back from all my readers. Before I started writing, I wasn’t aware of the value of a review until now. Writers spend countless hours of sleepless nights to create a story that they hope will entice their audience, so they want to know how you feel about their work. Reviews are acknowledgements for those long hours. Thank you so much for lending your hearts to my characters, making them come to life in your minds.

L
ily is now sound asleep after I convinced her to take another painkiller before we boarded the jet. Sitting by her side watching her sleep, I fight back my own tears. She’s had enough suffering these past few days that I just want to do everything in my power to shield her from anymore. I called Owen last night and had him remove all the baby furniture and anything else that could remind Lil of our unborn baby. I don’t want anything to trigger memories of her miscarriage. She’s cried plenty and doesn’t need to shed anymore tears, if I can help it. When I welcomed her into my world, I only had the purest intention of offering her all my love and making her the happiest woman in the world because that’s what she’s done for me. But instead of giving her the happy movie ending she deserves, I’ve showered her with tears and heartache. There has to be a way for me to make it up to her. I have to or I don’t deserve her love.
