EPILOGUE

Asher

I came home to a room aglow with candlelight. I glanced at the number on the door to make sure it was the right apartment before I stepped inside, particularly since there was no baby crying; only the sounds of soft classical music resonated throughout the living room.

Mel glided out from the bedroom wearing a sexy, red negligee. She smiled. “Welcome home,” she said, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me like I’d been gone for months.

I eased my head back and studied her eyes. They sparkled with radiance. “Thanks. You look amazing. Where’s Becket?”

“Sleeping.”

“He is?”

“Mmmm hmmm…” She pressed her lips to mine again. “I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve only been gone for three hours.”

“That’s a very long time when someone is horny and waiting.”

“You’re horny?”

“It’s six weeks today, Ash, and I’m ready.”

“Oh,” I said and smiled. I didn’t need further explanation. I just picked her up and carried her over to the sofa. Becket slept in our room and I didn’t want to go in there and wake him up.

I set Mel down on the sofa, but she stood back up and began to unbutton my shirt. When she got to the last button, I shrugged out of it, tossing it on the floor. She unbuckled my jeans and I let her push them down. My boxers joined my pants, and I stepped out of them. My cock pointed at her as if to say, “What the fuck are you waiting for? Get me inside.”

It had been a while, and I must admit, no one was hornier than I was at that very moment. But when she tugged me down on top of her, I slowed the pace a little, lifting the gorgeous red nightgown up and over her head. She wore sexy, red, lace panties that matched the negligee. I tugged on those lacy panties, pulling them down her thighs and she slipped each foot out. Mel was still as beautiful now as she’d been nine months ago when I’d first had the pleasure of assisting her in her endeavor to lose her V card. We always referred to our first time together as me volunteering to help her lose her virginity, and I laugh almost every time I think about how selfish my proposal had been.

I wasn’t about to rush this. I wanted to make sure Mel was ready and slippery. I skimmed my fingers down her stomach and between her thighs. No worries about whether or not she was ready.

“God, Mel, you’re so wet already,” I huffed out in a soft whisper.

She sighed a sweet, sexy, “Yes, I know,” which only made me get harder and more turned on. I kissed her neck, then her breasts, being sure not to suck at those, otherwise…well, I kissed the crease just below her breasts and I made my way down to her silky folds.

I slipped two fingers inside and then slid my tongue over her clit; she bucked her hips in acceptance. She wiggled as my tongue licked and sucked at her nub until she couldn’t take it anymore and she moaned so loud I thought for sure she’d wake up Becket.

“You’re most definitely ready, Mrs. Beaumont.” I positioned myself over her and slid my cock back and forth over her clit, driving her crazy, and she dug her nails into my tush, tugging me, urging me as I slid easily through her silky membranes. Her snug walls caressed me and contracted around my shaft, and I almost came right then. But it was too good to let it all be over so soon. I eased out so that only the tip of my cock was inside her, giving me a moment, and then pushed back in. It was futile to think I’d last very long this time. “Mel, I love you, so fucking much.”

“I love you, too, Asher.” Her voice was heavy and full of lust for me, and I couldn’t control it any longer as I pumped hard and felt her contract tighter around me. As I did, I emptied myself into her.

“You do this every morning?” Jackson asked me as we jogged down the street, each pushing a jog stroller. I’d talked him into buying one yesterday so he could run with me while we were visiting.

“Yeah. I’ve been running up and down the hills in San Francisco, though. This flat stuff is nothing compared to that.”

“I’m not sure it’s a good idea for me to be seen with you two.” Brodie ran alongside, giving us shit about looking whipped, but I didn’t care.

“You’re just jealous that you don’t have one of these to push yet,” Jackson said.

“My time’s coming. Gabrielle told me last night. She’s six weeks pregnant.”

“That’s awesome. It’s nice that all our kids will be around the same age,” Jackson said. “I’ve heard cousins are fun to grow up with. Our uncle never had any kids,” he added.

“Brothers are good to grow up with, too,” Brodie said, wrapping his arm around my neck in a chokehold, giving me a taste of things I’d probably missed out on as a kid.

“No doubt.” I coughed, wiggling my neck free from his grasp.

“Gabrielle and I wanted to move to the beach, but last night we were talking, and I think we like the idea of raising a kid around here.”

“Yeah, I agree,” I said. “And that’s why Mel and I decided to move up.”

“That’s fantastic. I’m glad,” Jackson said.

“Yeah, me, too,” Brodie added.

“We want to get away from the city. It was great for us when we were unattached, but we want Becket to live somewhere…not so fast-paced as the city. San Francisco is a fun place to visit or live when you’re single, but I think the city can be rough on a child. I want him to be able to enjoy the peacefulness and the sounds of the country and be able to build a fort in the backyard or some other private place he can go and just be. A thinking spot. I’d always wanted a thinking spot when I was a kid. We lived just outside the city. It was okay, and Mel’s mom still lives there, but we didn’t have much space or safe places we could go to explore.”

“Makes perfect sense. You want Becket to have a better life than you did,” Brodie said.

“Yeah.”

“Maybe we can help with that,” Jackson offered, and I gave him a rather surprised glance. “Don’t look so shocked, Ash, that’s what brothers do. We help each other.”

I’d spent so many years hating these two guys. So much useless time wasted, wanting something I could have easily had if I’d taken the time to find them earlier.

Now, all the hating and the jealousy I’d spent so many years perfecting was beautifully undone by my brothers and my beautiful wife and son. I had a family, and I belonged to them just as much as they belonged to me.

NOTE TO READERS

If you read this book before reading the other two books in The Beaumont Brothers series, that’s okay. There are no spoilers in this book, but if you want to go back and find out how Jackson and Lena or Brodie and Gabrielle met, please check out Beautifully Wounded before diving into Beautifully Used. They can both be read as stand-alones, but if you’re a stickler for continuity, you should start with Wounded.

And, if you loved this book, I’m positive you will love the first two.

You can find the first and second books on Amazon, and all are free in the Kindle Unlimited program.

What’s next?

Throughout 2016 I have plans to publish four more books, maybe five if everything works out. I’ll be working on consecutive books in both the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco and The Sectorium series. Both of these series are paranormal romance. I also have another contemporary building in my head, something completely different. It should be fun, though, and I’m looking forward to starting that.

THE EMOTIONAL STUFF

There are always many, many people that contribute to the publication of a book. First, I always like to thank my husband, because if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be writing. I never would have discovered that I had a passion for putting words down and forming stories without him. He gave me the opportunity to learn who I was and what I wanted. So, thank you, honey.

My kids give me inspiration in everything they do. I’ve always strived to be the best that I can be for them and to teach them to be the best that
they
can be. I'm proud of them and who they have become.

My mom’s a strong woman and has had many struggles in her life. Her struggles are not out of the ordinary, but she has always come out the victor. She always manages to build herself up, even after all the obstacles that have threatened to take her down. I admire her so much for all she has accomplished, and thank her for being a wonderful example of what a strong woman is.

My Facebook friends. Yep. That might be you. Thanks for putting up with all my posts about my books and for reading them.

My street team members, Soul Sisters. You build me up when I’m feeling down and keep me on my toes when I need a push. Thank you ladies for all that you do to help get the word out about my books. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

My beta readers, Heidi Hudson, Kim Shaw, Kelly Hawkins, Katherine Eccleston, Crystal Allmon, Wendy Higgs. Thank you all so much for your early and quick reading of this book. All your suggestions were very helpful.

I owe a ton of thanks to my author buddy, Amber Garza. Every visit with you is very enlightening, and I love how you help keep me up to date with current trends.

A huge, huge thank you to my fantastic editor, Chelle Olson from Literally Addicted to Detail. You rock! You make me shine and are always there to assist with everything from helping me choose the best stupid phrase, like beat off or jacked off, which one to use or not to use, to the perfect placement of that so important comma. And let’s not forget the cherry. ☺ Love you, babe.

Lastly, to you, the reader. Thank you for all of your reviews and the support you’ve shown throughout the years of my writing career. I love you to the moon!!! Be strong!
