Her fingers dragged down his back and she cried out, inner muscles clenching, milking around the length of his cock until his own orgasm hit. It was like lighting traveling down his spine and the sensation of it, the force of it, tore a groan from him. He pounded in to her once, twice, three times and held still. Shooting his seed deep within her and groaning when her hips rolled to pull every last drop of it from him.

She locked her ankles at the small of his back, and unwilling to pull away from her just yet, he clutched her close and pressed his face into the curve of her neck. Breathing heavy, he stayed that way until the tremors stopped and the sweat that congealed them together cooled. Then, rolling off of her onto the desk, he threw his arm over his face and simply concentrated on breathing.

“I-I have to go.” Her voice was hoarse.

“Stay.” He said, instantly alert when he felt her move away from him and get to her feet. Sitting on the edge of the desk he watched her gather her clothes, struggling to pull them on with shaking hands and downcast eyes.

“Rei.” He began, “Look at me.”

“This was a mistake.”

“A nice mistake. One I was hoping to repeat.”

Instead of smiling as he’d hoped she shook her head, still refusing to look at him as she clutched the front of her shirt closed and pulled up her pants. Wildly, she looked around for her purse, only to give it up as a lost cause.

“Rei.” He began, sliding to his own feet and moving towards her.

“We aren’t going to do this again.” She snapped, ire overriding anything he’d been about to say. Now she turned on him, dark eyes blazing angrily and her finger digging into his chest for emphasis. “In fact, it never even happened.”

“It sure as shit did.” He said, outraged that she would be willing to dismiss what had gone on between them. “And there was nothing wrong with it.”

“Everything was wrong with it. Don’t try and sugarcoat what happened to make yourself feel better about fucking your secretary.” She laughed, but not like it was funny. “God. We’re such a cliché. I thought I was better than this. I thought I knew better.”

Turning her back on him in disgust she marched to the door.

“You seemed willing enough to play the part of a cliché a few minutes ago.”

His words brought her up short and she spoke without turning to look at him.

“Like I said. A mistake.”

With that she opened the door, slamming it shut behind her as she hurried away. Justin looked at the closed door for a long time, mind working furiously. Then, slowly, he began to smile.

“Rei Donovan. You’re going to make my life a hell of a lot more interesting.”

She practically ran home. Despite how hard she tried
not
to think of what she and Justin had done, she couldn’t stop picturing it in her mind. She could still feel his skin beneath her fingertips; still feel his mouth on hers, his cock deep inside of her. Pushing, pushing, oh…

She stopped, shivering as her pulse raced.

Then, Rei shook her head. Angry with herself once again.

It had been a mistake. Nothing more, nothing less. She was a fool, thinking that Justin Reese was different from any other man in his position. Did he look at her and see nothing but a naïve young black woman or was he so used to the world tripping over itself to please him that he just expected her to open her legs as his right.

It made her ashamed that she had given in to him so easily. But there had been something in his eyes…something sad and desperate. Like a man drowning and lonely. For a moment he’d reminded Rei of herself and she’d found her defenses falling and common sense going right out the window.

What was it about a fragile man that turned women into idiots?

Rei hated the thought of going back in to work tomorrow. How would he look at her now? How could she even look him in the eye? She wasn’t sure which one she dreaded most. Having to give him the cold shoulder, or having him expect something more out of her than what she could give.

She was so occupied with thoughts of Justin that she didn’t even consider the files she’d found earlier until she’d gotten into bed. By then she was too tired to consider what it all meant. It was a mystery, a blip in the grand scheme of things. Justin had brushed it off, but Rei couldn’t. There was something strange about those files. Something off, and if nothing else, trying to figure it all out should keep her occupied until she could find other employment.

She just hoped Justin would give her a good reference.

The thing about knowing what someone looked like naked, is that once you saw it, you could not unseen it. That’s the problem that Rei found herself faced with the next day when she walked back into the office. Justin was standing beside her desk talking to Stan, and for a moment she found herself freezing mid step. Too nervous to draw attention to herself but too stubborn to simply turn around and leave before he saw her there.

Her gaze traveled over his suit clad back, and for the life of her she couldn’t seem to focus on the perfectly tailored Armani. Instead she was picturing what lay beneath it, the smooth tanned skin stretched across lithe muscles. Her mouth actually started to water, and she had to shake her head to clear it of the inappropriate musings. He must have felt her attention on him, because it was right around then that he looked over and saw her.

Rei wasn’t sure what she expected, though the smile he leveled on her would have been at the bottom of her list. Ignoring him, she nodded a stiff greeting to Stan who came to his feet at the sight of her.

“Rei.” He said, obviously surprised to see her standing there. Though why he would be was a mystery. He looked between both her and Justin and his expression became strained. “I need to talk to you.”

Her stomach dropped. Did he know? How could he know?

Her eyes flew to Justin, only to see him shaking his head sadly at Stan.

“Sorry, but it’ll have to wait. Rei and I have a few things to discuss.” He nodded towards his office, and without waiting to see if she would follow, turned and walked away. Helplessly, she shrugged at Stan before hurrying after Justin. Struggling to hide the sense of relief that filled her at the reprieve. She doubted she would like the direction of the conversation they would have had. Stan looked far too serious for it to be anything but bad.

“Close the door please.” Justin said absently, and Rei obliged him. Suddenly reminded that she had another problem on her hands. He may have just saved her from an awkward conversation with Stan (did he know? God, she hoped not), but she wanted to talk to Justin even less. Though this confrontation may be a good thing. At least now she could see what she’d have to deal with from him.

“Sit down, Rei.” He said, chuckling. With a start she realized that she had been hovering before his desk, anxiously shifting from foot to foot and wringing her hands as she examined the surface of it. As if she could see the two of them there in her mind’s eye.

In a way she imagined she could. Even as she pulled up a seat, she thought she could see a faint imprint of her ass forever marring the polished mahogany.

“Rei?”

She jumped, “Yes sir?”

He winced. “I think we’re past all of that don’t you?”

She shook her head and her chin lifted. “No sir. I don’t.”

Sighing, he settled back in his own seat. He regarded her for a long time before he finally spoke again.

“I have a problem.”

Shifting in her seat, Rei raised a brow in surprise. “Only one?”

The corner of his mouth lifted in a little half smile. “So far? Yes.”

“Fine.” She said, determined to play along. “What’s your ‘problem’?”

He hesitated, and she almost thought he wouldn’t go through with it. That he would just let it go. But then his resolve hardened and he spoke.

“I’m not a very exciting man. In fact, if I had any friends, they would say I was boring. Work has always been my main priority. Building my business has always been my only concern. I want to change that.”

She frowned. “What does that have to do me?”

“I want you.” He stated simply, as if it was a normal thing to just blurt out to someone.

“Well you can’t have me.”

“It’ll only be for a little while.”

She scoffed, “Like that makes it any better? I’m not going to whore myself out to you. How long do you think we’d last before you got tired of me anyway? A week? Two?”

Looking chagrined he said, “I don’t think I could ever grow tired of you Miss Donovan.”

Disgusted, Rei threw up her hands. “We are not having this conversation.” She warned him. “Because if we were, I’d be forced to report you to the corporate office for sexual harassment.”

He shrugged. “I am corporate. And as far as I’m concerned, this is more of a business proposition than anything else.”

“How so?”

“You want to run your own company. I’ve seen your credentials, I’ve seen your grades, and looking at you right now, I can see your potential. You want your own business, something you can build from the ground up, and it would satisfy you a hell of a lot more than teaching overseas ever could.” How in the hell had he found all of that out? The benefits of having money and connections she supposed. He took her silence as permission to continue. “Tell me, why
did
you change your mind about being a business major? From what I hear you were doing very well.”

She glanced away, no longer able to meet his eyes. “I didn’t think I’d be able to pull it off. Not yet anyway. The odds aren’t exactly in my favor.”

He seemed honestly confused, “Odds?”

“How many lower middle class women do you see going on to run Fortune 500 companies? Especially if they’re black?” Not for the first time, the sound of her father’s censure echoed in her ears. She’d grown up in a single parent household, and after her mother had run off her dad hadn’t been all that inclined to give women the benefit of the doubt. She’d wanted something for herself. Something great, and she’d known in her heart that she could pull it off. But it was hard to step out of the box people built for you when the only one supporting you wrote you off as a failure.

“Not many.” He said, finally answering her question. She felt both vindicated and hurt by his agreement. But he finished with, “But things can change.”

“I’m not sleeping with you just to jumpstart my career.”

He winced, “I’m not asking you to. I need a protégé, and who better to start with than you? If things don’t work out you can still go and teach English. No harm no foul. My offer stands whether you agree to share my bed or not.”

“That’s not how you made it sound.”

Justin shrugged, looking sheepish. “Sorry. Things were supposed to head in that direction but I couldn’t pull it off. I haven’t gotten the hang of this whole coercion thing just yet.”

She laughed in disbelief.

It was hard not to give his offer serious consideration. If he would mentor her no matter her decision to sleep with him, then that meant that she could decide whether to go through with it based entirely on whether she wanted him as much as he wanted her.

And the answer to that was simple.

She took a deep, shaky breath, but when she spoke her voice was without doubt or hesitation.

“Ok.”

“Ok?” he blinked, “To which part?”

She looked into his eyes and stood, her fingers reaching up to unbutton the front of her blouse.

“To all of it.”

Chapter 3: Tuesday

Stanly Williams hated anomalies.

Anomalies were messy, they caught a person’s eye, and they made people question things that they shouldn’t. The paperwork he’d been doctoring for the past two years was an anomaly, but a necessary one. He needed some way to keep track of his real movements, a way to monitor just where everything stood so that he could make the proper countermoves. He’d been laundering money from the company for as long as he could remember, but it had only been during the past two years that he’d started taking large sums. The reason had been simple enough. He wanted to retire, and the longer he stayed in the game the more likely it was that someone would find out what he’d been up to.

Admittedly he could have been saving all the money he’d been stealing, but he’d been distracted by other things. In addition to the cars and homes he could lay claim to, he also had a gambling addiction to feed. It had been his last bet at the races that had forced him to make his first mistake. He’d had to find a way to get the loan sharks off of his back, and he’d been a little…greedy with his latest dip into the company finances. The paperwork hadn’t added up, and then the accountants had done some digging and discovered that Justin Reese was much deeper in the red than they’d believed.

Of course they’d contacted Stan first. As Justin’s personal assistant it was Stan’s job to look into that sort of thing. Plus the man in question hadn’t wanted to lose his job after such a glaring oversight. So Stan had made some promises. A sort of ‘
I won’t tell if you won’t’
. That’s when Stan had gotten the idea about the bad Rinolli stocks. He’d known it was a risky investment, a failure, but just as he’d done up the paperwork to hide his own activities over the years, he’d doctored the reports on Rinolli before handing his ‘findings’ over to Justin and the Board of Directors. He and Justin had worked together for so long, the poor bastard hadn’t needed much more convincing before he’d agreed to invest.

So when the entire scheme had gone belly up, Stan was finally able to place the blame for the company’s fine straits on someone else’s doorstep. He knew what he was doing was risky. Having someone new come in could ruin the entire thing. But in just a few weeks he’d be able to leave the country and it wouldn’t matter one way or the other. As an extra measure he’s made sure that Justin hired Rei as his replacement. The girl was smart enough to get the job done, but not smart enough to figure out what was going on until it was too late.

It was why he loved her.

She was good, just not good enough.

The only problem was that she was nosy. He hadn’t liked coming in to work that morning only to realize that she’d printed out some of the files hidden away on his work computer. How she’d figured out the password and undone the file encryption was something he’d never understand. She must have had some help. It was the only explanation.

Maybe Justin was more suspicious than he’d given him credit for. Maybe he’d already figured everything out and simply needed proof. Or maybe someone else in the company had blown the whistle on Stan and Rei was just a front while the police built a case against him.

Stanly Williams didn’t like anomalies.

They made things complicated.

Made life hard.

There was a trick to handling them.

If they refused to go away on their own, you had to make them disappear.

It was hard to stay silent with his tongue between her legs. If she hadn’t placed a hand over her mouth, her cries would have alerted everyone outside of the office to what was going on. Though why she was worried about secrecy when he had her pressed against his office window was beyond her. Her shirt was gaping wide open and her breasts were pressed flush against the cool glass. He was kneeling behind her, hands spreading the cheeks of her ass wide so that he clean the dripping folds of her pussy with his mouth.

With every thrust of his tongue inside of her sensitive folds, she felt her body jerk, legs growing entangled in the pants currently pooled around her ankles. Her free hand searched for purchase, but could find none against the glass. So instead she found herself gripping her own nipple, twisting it between thumb and forefinger and shuddering as the sensations combined to stoke the fire already raging in her womb.

She could feel the slightly rough glide of his tongue tickling her clit, the warmth of his breath against her cunt and anus. All beneath her was wet heat, and she found herself grinding down against the sensation. Aching for that deeper touch, that rough thrust that would finally drive her over the edge. But he didn’t give it to her. Instead he left her there, hovering, while he examined other parts of her.

Cool air, and then a shocked cry once his tongue found the rose of her anus. She surged against the office window, body growing rigid but he simply chuckled beneath her and continued his ministrations. It was both soothing and strange, and just when she felt her muscles relax his forefinger was pushing at the virgin entrance. Testing it. She bit her lip but a sob escaped anyway.

He pulled away, rising to his feet and allowing his hands to travel up along her hips and sides while he drug his mouth in slow increments up the curve of her spine.

“Later.” He whispered in her ear, and it was both a question and a promise.

Before she could respond there was a knock on the door.

“I didn’t have time to lock it.” She told him, instantly flustered.

Cursing beneath his breath he called out,

“What is it Stan?”

Her hands were shaking so hard she could barely button up her top, but she still paused briefly at the sound of a woman’s voice.

“It’s Bethany, Justin.”

The door began to open and Justin grabbed Rei by her upper arm and forced her to her knees. She took his cue and crawled beneath the desk, trying not to gasp with nerves as she continued to fight a losing battle with her wardrobe. She looked up only to cringe at the sight of sweat marring the window.

Justin meanwhile, was calmly adjusting his tie. They hadn’t gotten far enough in their play for him to lose any clothes and she eyed his perfectly pressed slacks in envy as he sat in his chair, penning her there beneath the desk.

Hm. Maybe a little payback was in order. He seemed to enjoy getting her riled up, but had so far escaped a similar fate. She’d already agreed to it. Why not enjoy it?

“Where’s Stan?” he didn’t sound happy to see the woman, and Rei grinned as she reached out to undo his pants.

“Your little guard dog wasn’t at his post when I got there.”

Besides his initial flinch, Justin had gone completely still. At the woman’s words he cleared his throat nervously.

“You don’t say?”

“What’s the matter dear?” the woman, Bethany, cooed. “You look a little flushed.”

Rei grinned as her hand wrapped around the already throbbing length of his cock. She examined it, running her nails lightly across the silken surface. Enjoying the weight and feel of it in her hands. Then, wrapping her fingers around its width, she leaned forward and licked him, nice and slow, from base to tip.

He let out an explosive breath. “Flushed? It’s just really hot in here. Aren’t you hot?” he asked, exasperated. Rei purred and licked him once more, growing wet all over again as she worked him with her tongue. Rubbing the head of his already oozing dick back and forth along her lips so he could feel just what she was offering him.

“No.” Bethany began, sounding doubtful. “I’m actually quite comfortable thank you.”

His laugh sounded strained. “Must be me then. Maybe it’s a bug or something.”

“Or maybe,” Bethany said, sounding both not amused and unconcerned. “you’re having second thoughts concerning our little…arrangement.”

Arrangement? The wording was odd enough to give Rei pause, but Justin shifted in his seat, a silent plea for her to continue.

“Why are you here?”

He asked, just as Rei lifted up as far as she could beneath his desk, and pulled the head of his dick into her mouth. He seized in his seat, hand appearing briefly beneath the table as if he would grab her, urge her on, before he remembered his audience.

“I came to give you this.” The sound of rustling papers was drowned out beneath the blood rushing in Rei’s ears. She pulled him in deeper, straining to take him all in. When he hit the back of her throat her eyes began to water until she remembered to relax. Then her mouth was meeting her hand where she gripped him at the base. Her pussy was aching, but she remembered to keep her movements slow.

Pulling up, she rolled her tongue along his length. Stroking him until he was almost out of her mouth, before sucking him back in again. He pulsed in her mouth and his hips lifted of their own accord.

He cloaked the movement by reaching forward to pull the papers Bethany had given him closer.

“What-” a shaky sigh as she employed teeth as well as tongue. “-what is this?”

“Your copy. You left so quickly yesterday my lawyers didn’t get a chance to give it to you. It details everything we talked about and covers any other stipulations that we didn’t have time to discuss in detail.”

“Like?” he managed.

“Like,” Bethany drawled, “fidelity for one. We’re engaged now, and once things go public this weekend the spotlight will be on the both of us. I don’t want rumors going around that my fiancé can’t keep it in his pants. I have a reputation to think of, and I refuse to wade through the weight of a scandal on my way down the aisle.”

His agonized groan in that moment could have had something to do with the reminder that he was getting married, but Rei thought it was directly related to the punch she leveled to his balls from her place between his legs.

She would have scrambled out into the open right then and there but he swiveled in his seat, effectively blocking her exit with his legs. She hit him in the sack again, though not as hard as the last time since her heart wasn’t as in it, but settled back. Rei wasn’t particularly thrilled at the idea of being seen in the skivvies by some stranger. Especially since said stranger also happened to be the fiancé of the man whose penis had just been in her mouth. Mortified at the very thought, she buried her face in her hands and swallowed a groan.

“Fine.” Justin was saying, “Thank you for bringing this over. I’ll be sure to read through it. Now get out.”

“But we need to discuss-”

“Nothing. I’ve had about all the conversation that I can stand as far as you’re concerned. Now, get. Out.”

Both of them fell silent, probably weighing the resolve of the other. A metaphorical dick measuring contest. Whether Bethany came up short, or decided to fight another day, she finally conceded with a put upon sort of sigh.

“Alright. I’ll leave. But you can’t put me off forever Justin.”

“True, but I can try.”

Bethany chuckled, “Sass becomes you love.” She said, sounding tickled. Then the door was opening, closing, and she was gone.

Rei shoved at Justin’s knees until he rolled out of her way, tucking himself in and zipping up as he did so. He eyed her warily.

“Is this the part where you yell at me about being engaged?”

“No.”

He frowned, suspicious. “No?”

“No. Yelling would imply that I was upset by the fact that you’re a dirty, rotten, two-timing, man slut, when really, I could care less.”

“That actually hurt.”

“It was supposed to.”

By this time she’d managed to right her clothes and now she leaned in front of his darkened computer screen to see what sort of order to could bring to her hair. Justin knew it was silly, but he found that he even liked the way she primped and fussed over her appearance and he was momentarily distracted as he watched her.

Then reality hit home once more when she finally spoke.

“Do you love her?” her voice was hesitant, unsure.

Justin didn’t know why she would care either way, but it hurt nothing to tell the truth.

“No.”

Her shoulders jerked, as if he’d struck her. “Then why are you marrying her?” she said heatedly.

“It’s-” he blew out an explosive breath. “It’s complicated. But Bethany and I have an understanding. I don’t love her, but she doesn’t love me either. This marriage is one of convenience.”

“Convenience.”

“I know I wasn’t completely honest about Bethany.” Rei snorted and whipped her hair into a careless bun. “But I was up front about everything else. I meant everything I said.”

She straightened, but didn’t turn around right away.

“It doesn’t matter now. A deal’s a deal.”

He barely refrained from pumping his fist in the air.

“But-” she continued, finally leveling the full force of those brown eyes upon him. “-we’re going to play by my rules from now on.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means,” her voice turned sultry and she stepped into his personal space, her fingers trailing a line of promise down the front of his chest. “That from now on, I decide when enough is enough. Not you. I decide how far this goes.”
