Chapter Twenty

Cash Matthews

For understanding each other so well, we seemed to have a lot of misunderstandings. But as soon as we were back together, I felt immediately better. Being inside her was when I felt at peace. Time slowed down when we were together. Everything in the world felt right. It was where I belonged.

Prudence clung to me in bed the next day. We hardly left except when we were hungry. I ran my hands over her body and felt her soft skin.

“Are you sore?” I whispered.

“I’m never sore with you. You’re always gentle with me.” She arched her back and stretched.

“No. You’re just extremely wet.”

“Well…I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.” She chuckled lightly.

I spread her legs and gave her kiss on the area I loved so much. She was always sweet.

“Mmm…”

“You like that?”

“I like it when you kiss me everywhere.”

I kissed her shoulder. It wasn’t as sexual but I knew she loved it. “Where do you want to go on our honeymoon?”

She squirmed with excitement. “I get a honeymoon?”

“Of course you do.”

“And I get to pick?”

“My wife gets whatever she wants.”

She ran her fingers down my chest. “You’re going to be an amazing husband.”

“Only because I have an amazing wife.”

She smiled. “You always know the right things to say.”

“So, where do you want to go?”

“Somewhere with a bed and room service.”

I liked that response.
“And what would you like to do when I’m recharging?”

She pondered the options for a moment. “I’ve never been to Hawaii.”

I thought the tropical islands were overrated. After a while, they were all the same. But Prudence could go anywhere she wanted. If she said she wanted to go camping in Alaska, I’d still say yes. “Then let’s go there.”

She clapped her hands. “How exciting.”

I loved seeing the happiness on her face. “I’ll have my travel agent plan everything.”

“I’m going to have a find a new bikini.”

“I can help with that.” I kissed her neck. “And I want lots of lingerie. That’s your wedding gift to me.”

“You’re easy to please.”

“With you, definitely.” I moved my arms around her waist and held her. I could do this all day. “But we need to plan the wedding—and soon.”

“Oh yeah.” She stared at my chest. “I’ve never planned one before…”

“Just pick everything you want.”

“I wish it could just be you and I. I don’t care about anyone else.”

“Well, we have to be convincing, baby. I know my mom would help.”

Prudence looked uncomfortable. “Even though she knows it isn’t going to last?”

But she knew how much I loved Prudence.
If I didn’t, my mom wouldn’t put up with this arrangement. “My mom loves you and wants you to be a part of our family as long as you want.”

“But won’t the rest of your family hate me?”

“My mom won’t tell them.”

“Really? How do you know?”

“I asked her not to.” I rubbed my nose against hers. “We have to convince everyone. And we can’t afford a slip-up.”

She sighed. “Cash, I’m scared.”

“I am too.”

Prudence rested her head against my chest. “I’d never forgive myself if something happened to you.”

“I come from a powerful family. Don’t worry about me.”

“Have you told Sharon?”

“No. But I will.”

“I want to be there.”

“You do?” Why?

She nodded. “She needs to see we’re a team. We can’t be manipulated.”

I kissed her forehead. “That sounds like a great idea.”

She lay back on the sheets then pulled me toward her, her legs wrapped around my waist. I knew what she wanted.

“You can never get enough, huh?”

Her hand gripped me then pulled me inside her. As soon as I entered her, her head rolled back and she moaned loudly. “Cash…god.”

I’ll take that as a yes.

After we were finished having each other as much as possible, we met Sharon at the same coffee shop. Hand-in-hand, we walked inside and approached her table. Sharon glanced at our joined hands with a noticeable scowl.

I pulled out Prudence’s chair before she sat down then took the seat beside her. My hand was tight around hers.

“I changed my mind,” I said bluntly.

“Apparently.” She crossed her arms over her chest and glared at us.

“I’m sorry I wasted your time.”
Not really.

“Are you sure you want to do this? I’m going to tear you apart.”

Prudence flashed her a look of hate. “If we crash and burn, we do it together.”

Sharon shook her head slightly. “You’re going to let Cash sacrifice everything for you?”

“You’re one to talk,” I snapped.

“I was never that selfish,” Sharon said immediately.

“We’re getting married no matter what,” Prudence said. “You can try to tear us apart with your threats, but we don’t negotiate with terrorists. Do your worst because we’ll do ours.”

“You just made an enemy you can’t compete with,” Sharon said.

“We’ll see,” Prudence said. “And don’t come near my fiancé again. I’m a very classy woman, but if you bother him again, I won’t hesitate to deck you in the face.”

Sharon smiled. “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

“I was hoping you’d say that.”

“We’re done here,” I said. I pulled Prudence from the chair then leaned toward Sharon’s ear. “Come near my fiancé and I’ll kill you. Don’t call my bluff.” I grabbed Prudence’s hand and led her out of the café.

“Good team work,” she said when we got outside. She held up her hand for a high five.

I eyed it with a raised eyebrow. High-fives were something I did with my friends when our favorite team scored, and I’ve never thought of Prudence as a friend. Instead, I dipped her to the ground and gave her a big kiss, movie style. “We’re a force to be reckoned with.”

My mom planned an engagement party at the house. My entire family would be there and there would be a lot of socializing. I didn’t mind, but Prudence was nervous. I never understood why because she was so loveable. No one ever met her and disliked her.

I special ordered a beautiful gown I wanted her to wear. I knew her measurements better than she did, so I knew it would fit. I brought it home then laid it on the bed. She was in the shower so I waited for her to come out.

Wearing a towel around her head, she came into the bedroom. “You’re home early.”

“We got a party tonight.”

“Don’t remind me,” she said with a sigh. She moved to me to give me a kiss like she always did when I came home, but she stopped when she saw the dress. “What’s this?”

“I want you to wear this tonight.”

She stared at it for a moment before she felt the fabric in her fingertips. It was champagne pink, perfect for her skin tone. It was tight on the chest and the waist then flared out to the ground. “Cash…”

“Please wear it.”

“It’s beautiful.”

“Just like you. You’re a perfect match.”

She looked at me with affection in her eyes. “This must have cost a fortune…”

“Because you’re worth a fortune.”

“You’re so sweet to me.” She swallowed the lump in her throat.

“So, you’ll wear it?”

“Of course I will.” She straddled my hips and gave me a big kiss. My lips burned as soon as we touched. Then she moved to my fly and undid my slacks. I knew what was coming next. “You deserve something special, babe.”

“I do?” She didn’t have to do anything for me but I wasn’t going to stop her. I wasn’t stupid.

She slid to the floor, her hands moving down my thighs. “Something really special.”
My cock twitched when I knew what she was going to do.

She pulled the towel off her head then moved my slacks and briefs to my knees. My dick sprung out, happy to see her.

She grabbed the base and rubbed it. Then she moved to the tip and down again. I was already ready to explode. She was amazing at giving head. She’s had a lot of practice for the past six months.

When her mouth closed around me, I moaned loudly. I couldn’t hide anything from Prudence. She knew I was already prepared to blow my load. She moved me to the back of her throat slowly then licked the tip. She wasn’t as fast as she normally was because she wanted to make it last for me.

And I loved her for that.

She ran her tongue up and down my base then returned me to her mouth. She took me like a pro and shoved me to the back of her throat. Despite my size, she never gagged. It seemed like she loved it as much as I did.

“Baby, I’m going to come…”

She moved faster, ready to swallow when I released. Sharon never let me come in her mouth. She said it was gross. But Prudence wanted to devour it. I took a deep breath as the orgasm started. They were always longer with Prudence because she made them last. I grabbed her neck and pushed my dick into her mouth, depleting my contents. “
Mmm…”

When I finished, she licked the tip then swallowed it. “Yum.” She always said that when she was done.

“You give amazing head.”

She smiled. “Thank you.”

“I’ll buy you pretty things more often.”

She crawled back into my lap. “I’ll do it even when you don’t.”

“Good answer.” I rolled her to the bed and moved on top of her. “Now it’s your turn.”

She wrapped her legs around my waist. “There isn’t time. I need to get ready.”

“It’s our party. We can be late.”

“No, that’s rude,” she said firmly. “Plus, it’s unnecessary.”

What did the mean?
“Why?”

“Well…I already got mine.” Her cheeks tinted.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love her more. “You got off to giving me head?”

“Do you judge me?”

“God, no. That’s the hottest thing in the world.”

“Phew. I thought I was just a slut.”

I smiled. “You’re a slut for me. And that doesn’t make you a slut.”

Prudence was the life of the party. Everyone loved her. Just like I knew they would.

She rocked the dress even better than I expected. It fit her perfectly. The light color made her skin seem slightly darker than it normally was. It clung to her natural curves, highlighting her beauty more than usual. The diamond necklace around her throat matched the rock on her finger. There was no doubt
whom she belonged to. I knew Prudence didn’t expect to be lavished with gifts, but that made me want to buy her the entire world.

My hand was hooked around her waist while we mingled with all my relatives. I had way too many. Somehow, Prudence remembered everyone’s name. When my great-grandpa talked about world war two, Prudence patiently listened.

“My grandfather fought for the allies. I still have his uniform.”

And my great-grandfather fell in love. He pulled her away from me and talked her ear off for thirty minutes. I tried pulling her away but she seemed to enjoy the conversation.

Denver appeared by my side. We both stared at Prudence for a moment. “I’m very happy for you.”

“Thank you.”

He watched me stare at Prudence. “My little brother is in love. I never thought that would happen.”

“Now I’m a pussy like you,” I teased.

“It’s not so bad. You’ll see.”

I couldn’t agree more.

“Natalia wants a cousin.”

“That won’t happen anytime soon.”
Or ever.

“Accidents happen.” He winked. “What do you think Natalia was?”

“TMI, bro.”

He laughed. “Sorry. When’s the date?”

“In about two weeks.”

“Wow,” Denver said. “That’s quick.”

“We’re in love. Why wait?”

“Are you sure she’s not pregnant?” He elbowed my side.

“I would know.”

My father appeared on my other side. “You got it right this time, Cash. Everyone loves her.”

“I can tell. They are taking her away from me,” I said.

My father laughed. “Don’t get jealous. I won’t take her away from you.” He winked. “If you’re nice.”

I shook my head. “Mom’s gonna kick your ass.”

He rolled his eyes. “I have a bolt on my office door.”

“She’ll get through that,” Denver said.

“I shouldn’t have married superwoman,” he said with laugh. “But she loves Prudence, which is astounding. She’s a hard woman to impress.”

If anyone could get into her heart, it was Prudence. “I’m not surprised.”
