“What are you smirking about?” he asked me
with a smile.
“I just texted our sisters.”
My phone chimed three times to signify three
incoming text messages. I giggled as I read two of them.
“What are you up to?” Lincoln leaned on the
counter across from me and eyed me amusement.
I handed him my phone with the group text on
the screen.
Jillian: Made up with Lincoln! Epic marathon
sex session in progress. Love you!
His eyes bugged out as he read my outgoing
text.
Kennedy: Jillian! Gross!! But I’m so
glad!
Rebecca: Have fun, sis. Let me know when you
can walk again.
“Epic marathon sex, eh?” he said while
laughing and handed my phone back to me.
“Well, I thought it was pretty epic.” I
suddenly felt a little shy. “I don’t know about you.”
He came around the counter and placed a
finger under my chin, tilting my face up to his. “Jillian. Epic is
an understatement.”
I smiled brightly at his reply and stretched
up to kiss him. His arms wrapped around me and his fingers made his
way south, pulling the hem of my shirt up over my butt. He palmed
my cheeks and lightly stroked the curves at the top of my
thighs.
“Goddamn, you are so sexy. I wish I could
touch you all over, all at once. Every inch of you,” he whispered
as his hands ran over my body.
I ran my hands over his strong chest and wide
shoulders. “I feel the same way, baby.” I felt a shudder go through
him, and he kissed me passionately. I could feel him harden through
his boxer briefs.
“Sandwiches!” I cried out, breaking our kiss,
and pulling my mouth away from his.
He chuckled. “Hey, I was promised epic
marathon sex.”
“Oh! Speaking of that. My idea!” I said as I
grabbed both sandwiches and offered one to Lincoln.
“I thought epic marathon sex was your big
idea.”
“Well, it’s more than that.”
“God, more than epic marathon sex? I don’t
think that’s possible. I’ve died and gone to heaven,” he said
before shoving half a sandwich in his mouth and smiling.
I beamed up at him. He made me so happy.
“I’m dying of suspense here, Jillian. What’s
your idea?” he said with his mouth full of sandwich.
“Well, like I started to say earlier, I don’t
have a lot of experience with sex, and what we’ve done so far has
been amazing, don’t get me wrong, but… like… um…” I was suddenly
shy.
“But what, Jillian?” he prompted me.
“Um…what’s your favorite…um…” After
everything we’d done together, it was still difficult to talk to
him about it.
“Jillian, just ask me,” he said,
impatiently.
“Um, well, what’s your favorite
position?”
He smirked. “Ooh… is that what’s your getting
at?”
“Well, I was thinking I wanted to find my
favorite position. But I don’t know that many.”
He laughed. “Should we make a list of all sex
positions we know of? Nothing too crazy though. No kama sutra type
bending. I still have to be able to play hockey, and you probably
want to be able to walk at work tomorrow.”
I laughed. “Actually, I’m going to play hooky
tomorrow,” I informed him. “That’s who my third text was to. I
texted my boss.” I felt guilty for skipping a day of my internship,
but I could make it up. Besides, Lincoln and I had a week's worth
of catch-up to do.
“Really?” Lincoln asked excitedly but then
turned serious. “I don’t want to keep you from your research.”
“It’s okay, baby. I can make it up.”
“Why do you want to try different positions?”
he asked me seriously as he took another sandwich.
I blushed. “I just kind of feel like I’ve
missed out on so much. Isn’t sex supposed to be fun and
adventurous?”
“Fun? Yes. Adventurous? Not necessarily.
There are plenty of couples out there who are perfectly happy with
basic missionary.”
“I know. I just want to try everything. Find
out what I like and what I don’t like. Besides, you never told me
your favorite.”
He eyed me as he finished chewing his
sandwich and took a large swallow of water. He didn’t answer me but
instead started cleaning the little bit of mess he made while
assembling our sandwiches.
I snatched the last half of a sandwich off
the plate and practically inhaled it before bringing the plate to
him to put in the dishwasher.
“Jillian, I know you feel like you’ve missed
out, but we’ve got a lifetime of sex ahead of us. We don’t have to
rush this. It should just be natural,” he said knowingly.
He was right. I knew he was right, but it was
just all so exciting. “So you’re not going to tell me your
favorite?”
He smirked at me. “Well, since I was promised
epic marathon sex…” I cocked an eyebrow at him. “My newest favorite
is the cowgirl,” he told me as his eyes glowed with desire and
love.
“That’s what we just did, right?”
“Yeah, baby.” His voice got husky. “I told
you, I never experienced anything like that before.”
I looked at him with sultry eyes, “Do you
want to do it again?”
“Later. Right now, we’re going to do it
doggy-style on the kitchen floor.”
I gasped. He hadn’t even touched me, and I
could feel myself tightening up, my nerves on full alert.
“Yes…” I whispered, and Lincoln grabbed me
and kissed me hard on the mouth. I melted into his embrace and
before I knew it, I was naked on the kitchen floor. He produced a
condom from somewhere and positioned himself behind me. It was fast
and exciting and like nothing I had ever experience.
The two orgasms he gave me flowed from one
into the other, and I became a quivering mass of pleasure before he
finally collapsed on top of me.
His breath feathered on my back as he laid on
me, but he held me gently, not squishing me this time. “Ooh
Lincoln. Does it just keep getting better?”
“God, baby. I don’t think my heart can take
it. That was unbelievable.”
“New favorite position?” I asked him with a
giggle.
He laughed. “I’m starting to think the
position doesn’t matter. It’s just you. You make it
unbelievable.”
I smiled big. “And just think, we get to have
this for the rest of our lives.”
“Oh, Princess…”
Even in his whisper I could hear the love and
adoration in his voice. I knew it was true. He had seen my scars,
and he knew my deepest secrets. He told me I was beautiful when I
thought I was anything but, and he helped me trust in myself and in
others again. He cherished me and I him. I would never leave him
again, and God willing, he would love me forever. I knew my love
for him would grow and continue. It could only get better.
I rolled on my side and he shifted to look me
in the eye. “I love you, Lincoln,” I told him.
He closed his eyes and smiled as he absorbed
my words. “I love you too, Jillian.”
I smiled and snuggled into him as he held me
on the kitchen floor and I was totally contented.
~~~~THE END~~~~
Epilogue
“COURTNEY! HURRY THE FUCK UP!” I screeched
into my cell phone.
“I'm hurrying, dammit. There's a shit-ton of
snow, and I can't see where I'm going.”
“Just fucking do it, bitch,” I demanded as I
paced the length of the empty bathroom. Kallie was watching the
door to make sure we had privacy.
“Does it matter which window or what?”
Courtney asked through the phone.
“The back of the house. The whole fucking
wall is glass. Even you can't miss.”
I could hear her frustrated grumble, and I
rolled my eyes. I'm sure she was worried about getting her pathetic
knock-off Louboutin heels wet and dirty.
There was silence from her end of the line
before a grunt and then the sound of glass breaking.
Courtney sighed. “There. It's done.”
“Now get the fuck out of there. And, Courtney
- MAKE SURE NO ONE SEES YOU!” I ordered and hung up the phone.
Kallie turned away from the door with an evil
smile and joined me at the mirror over the sink. I reapplied my
lipstick and popped my lips.
“Good thing Courtney's a fucking pushover,”
she said to our reflections in the mirror.
“No shit. She's pathetic but useful. I just
hope she got the right fucking house.”
“I'm sure she did. She's not that
stupid.”
I nodded in agreement. “Okay, let's get back
to the table. I have to make sure I have an alibi.”
“Don't worry. Plenty of people have seen you.
They won't be able to pin this one on you,” she said.
I fluffed my long brown hair one more time in
the mirror before turning to exit the bathroom.
“I still can't believe they put a restraining
order out against you,” she said with a laugh.
“Two of them! One for Lincoln and one for
Jillian! How the fuck am I supposed to explain that during my
background check for my next pageant?” I was almost shaking with
fury. “They're going to pay for this. Jillian's going to wish she
never met me.”
“What about Lincoln?” Kallie asked.
“Lincoln's going to realize how pathetic she
is eventually, and then he'll belong to me again,” I said
confidently. I just had to make him see everything I could offer
him that Jillian couldn't. We could be the ultimate power couple of
Chicago. Everyone would be envious.
“You and Lincoln are perfect together,
Mackenzie. We'll take care of Jillian, and you'll be on his arm and
in his bed again before long,” Kallie said with an evil smirk.
“I fucking better be.” I was tired of waiting
for him to realize how good he had it with me.
I plastered on a familiar fake smile, pushed
the swinging bathroom door open, and rejoined the crowded
restaurant to confirm my alibi.
