Revelation 14:1-20

1
And I [John] looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty
and
four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3
and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred
and
forty
and
four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4
These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men,
being
the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5
And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

6
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7
saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive
his
mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10
the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11
and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12
Here is the patience of the saints: here
are
they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed
are
the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

14
And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud
one
sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16
And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17
And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18
And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19
And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast
it
into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20
And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand
and
six hundred furlongs.

Psalm 142:1-7

Maschil of David; A Prayer when he was in the cave

1
 I cried unto the L
ORD
with my voice; with my voice unto the L
ORD
did I make my supplication.

2
I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4
 I looked on
my
right hand, and beheld, but
there was
no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5
 I cried unto thee, O L
ORD
: I said, Thou
art
my refuge
and
my portion in the land of the living.

6
Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Proverbs 30:21-23

21
 For three
things
the earth is disquieted, and for four
which
it cannot bear:

22
 For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;

23
 For an odious
woman
when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.

Zechariah 6:1–7:14

1
And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains
were
mountains of brass.
2
 In the first chariot
were
red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3
and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
4
Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What
are
these, my lord?

5
And the angel answered and said unto me, These
are
the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6
 The black horses which
are
therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.

7
And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.

8
Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

9
And the word of the L
ORD
came unto me, saying,
10
 Take of
them of
the captivity,
even
of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
11
then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set
them
upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
12
and speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the L
ORD
of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name
is
The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the L
ORD
:
13
even he shall build the temple of the L
ORD
; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14
And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the L
ORD
.
15
 And they
that are
far off shall come and build in the temple of the L
ORD
, and ye shall know that the L
ORD
of hosts hath sent me unto you. And
this
shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the L
ORD
your God.

7:
1
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius,
that
the word of the L
ORD
came unto Zechariah in the fourth
day
of the ninth month,
even
in Chisleu;
2
when they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before the L
ORD
,
3

and
to speak unto the priests which
were
in the house of the L
ORD
of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

4
Then came the word of the L
ORD
of hosts unto me, saying,
5
Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh
month,
even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me,
even
to me?
6
And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat
for yourselves,
and drink
for yourselves?
7

Should ye
not
hear
the words which the L
ORD
hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when
men
inhabited the south and the plain?

8
And the word of the L
ORD
came unto Zechariah, saying,
9
 Thus speaketh the L
ORD
of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10
and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12
 Yea, they made their hearts
as
an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the L
ORD
of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the L
ORD
of hosts.
13
Therefore it is come to pass,
that
as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the L
ORD
of hosts:
14
but I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

Revelation 15:1-8

1
And I [John] saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark,
and
over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous
are
thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true
are
thy ways, thou King of saints.
4
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for
thou
only
art
holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

5
And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6
and the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
7
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Psalm 143:1-12

A Psalm of David.

1
 Hear my prayer, O L
ORD
, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me,
and
in thy righteousness.

2
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

3
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

4
Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

5
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

6
I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul
thirsteth
after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

7
 Hear me speedily, O L
ORD
: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

8
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

9
 Deliver me, O L
ORD
, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

10
Teach me to do thy will; for thou
art
my God: thy spirit
is
good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11
 Quicken me, O L
ORD
, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12
And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I
am
thy servant.
