“Offer it,” Pag said. “Play with yourself, Jalinda. That will show your need for cock at last, and you will learn to come for your husbands.”

The order startled her, but Jalinda couldn’t help obeying if her life depended on it. She put her hand there, where all had burned like fire just a few moments before. Instantly the pleasure flooded her senses beyond any ecstasy she had ever known, and now she understood all too well. This
need
Pag kept talking about: she had it, but it wasn’t what she thought it would be. It didn’t feel bad, or even shameful. It felt
wonderful
. Jalinda didn’t really know what coming was, but then suddenly she did, and it happened and happened and happened as she watched the seed spurt from her husbands-to-be and felt it splash upon her—Pag’s on her face, Hed’s on her little breasts, and Kar’s on her smooth belly.

My need for cock. I must escape.

Chapter Eight

Gep woke Pag well before dawn. “Jalinda’s gone,” he said grimly.

Pag groaned. “Hed will murder me.”

“I’ll back you up, lad. I thought it was the right choice not to bind her, after she offered herself so sweetly. And you’ll get her back. She can’t have gotten far.”

“But the Vionian garrison…” Complex thoughts and plans blazed through Pag’s mind: the possible, the impossible, the necessary.

“I’m going to go out now and try to track her,” Gep said. “You wake your brothers and get ready for action, if the need be. There are halberds in the storage room.”

Pag nodded grimly.

Hed took the news the way he always took ill tidings—with an air that he had told Pag over and over that no good would come of anything. Unlike Kar, Hed believed fervently in his fraternal duty to Pag. He would never speak a word of criticism, but knowing that made it worse for Pag: he could see in Hed’s eyes the reproach his middle brother would never voice.

“Fuck the powers,” Kar said, his favorite oath, when Hed woke him. “Hed was right. Well, let’s go get her.”

Pag smiled. Kar’s mercurial personality could get on his and especially on Hed’s nerves, but Pag had never found him wanting in activity or in bravery.

They had found the halberds by the time Gep returned. The traditional weapon of the Trestrimar, six feet of sturdy synth-oak with diamond-honed steel at its business end, struck fear into the hearts of warriors and civilians across the galaxy. The barbarians’ extraordinary reach and the precision training they undertook from boyhood made the long staff with the razor-sharp blade a death sentence for anyone who opposed them at any range closer than ten paces. Nor would an enemy ever get closer than that: the blade, suited equally well to slashing and to stabbing, would have his life’s blood upon it much more quickly and precisely than a battery of Vionian laser cannons could bomb his city into submission.

“They have her at the garrison,” Gep said.

“Of course they do,” Kar said from a mouth twisted at the corner.

“Silence,” said Hed. “We shall soon do battle.” The law of the Trestrimar forbid anyone but a commander to speak when battle lay in the offing: Pag had, in Hed’s view, just become their commander here on Zulin, just as he had been a few weeks before on Sherdon 2. The Trestrimar had no ranks, for family seniority governed them more thoroughly than anything formal like the military code of the Vionians would have.

“She must have tried to talk to someone in the tavern,” Gep explained. “I imagine she hoped to find a ship to take her home, the poor girl.”

Pag felt his heart soften toward Jalinda a little. Yes, she might well be called a poor girl. She had seemed so ready to submit after the betrothal, though. Had she pretended that yielding?

He looked at Hed and Kar. “We will discipline her thoroughly when we have her back. For now, we have no choice.” He turned to Gep. “How many in the garrison?”

“Fifty?” Gep said. “I’ll get my halberd.” Not being a member of Pag’s immediate family, and in the presence of three brothers, he fell under Pag’s command just as Hed and Kar did.

“No,” said Pag, thinking fast. “Get the
Pride
ready to go. Change her frequency and her name.” Changing a ship’s identity took an hour, and carried the death sentence in the Vionian Empire, but that seemed to Pag the least of their worries right now. “The garrison doesn’t have a transmitter, does it?”

“No, of course not.” Receiving faster-than-light subspace signals could be done by nearly anyone with the proper equipment; transmitting them took immense quantities of energy. On a planet like Zulin, a single subspace transmitter might be fired once a week, with all the planet’s news and communications. “And the next transmission isn’t until three days from now. If they figure out who she is, they’ll commandeer the beacon and fire a message to the empire.”

“We’ll get Jalinda and no one will know where we went.”

Gep nodded. “If you wipe out the garrison, it might start the revolt we’ve been waiting for, in fact.”

Pag felt his brow crease. “I was going to order you to come with us, but it sounds like you want to stay, Gep.”

Gep nodded again. “Yes. We haven’t had a chance like this in a long time. The empire is weak after the Sherdonian campaign. A rebellion here at the opposite border could spread like wildfire. I’ll see you on the
Pride
, or, I should say, how about the
Love’s Rebellion
?”

Kar snorted and Hed frowned at him.

“Follow me at ten paces,” Gep said. “The garrison is right across from the main hangar.”

* * *

Vionian border troops like the ones in the Zulin garrison were the worst of the worst. To earn a place here a man had to display both insubordination and extraordinary cruelty. Each of the men Pag and his brothers killed that night had committed countless atrocities on countless worlds. They had grown up, almost certainly, as orphans. Any who had once had families had left them behind years before.

In the center of the garrison’s mess hall, twenty of them had tied Jalinda, naked, over a bench. When Pag, having cut down the two sentries silently with deft strokes of his halberd, entered cautiously with Hed and Kar at his back, their halberds still unbloodied, he realized that stealth was hardly necessary, for all the men had focused their attention on the two who stood closest to the beautiful naked form of the barbarian brothers’ betrothed bride.

One man, his cock in his left hand, stood to the side, next to Jalinda’s bottom, fondling her between her spread legs, while another stood at her face, pumping his cock in his hand. Even fifteen paces away Pag could see the tears stream down her cheeks as the fat, blond-haired Vionian prepared to use her, holding her head firmly by her beautiful red hair and making her watch him stroke his manhood. The one playing with her cut was stroking her with his fingers, teasing the pretty pink lips that belonged rightfully to Pag and his brothers.

“Get in that rump,” one of the soldiers said. “Give her what she deserves, for trying to run from us.”

“Right up inside,” said another, “and then it will be my turn.”

The man jerking off near her face said, “I’ll have that bottom first, and the quim. I’m in command here, ain’t I? Just get them both ready for me, private. You can take this sweet little mouth while I open her down there.
Then
everyone gets a turn. Then, when she’s full of spunk, we’ll cut her throat, and no one will be the wiser.”

“Aw, Sarge,” said the one by her bottom, “we can’t keep her in a cell here and use her for a few weeks?”

“Naw,” said the sergeant, still moving his hand rapidly along his manhood. “She looks like the girl the general is looking for. We’d get in trouble. Just a nice gangbang tonight, and a slit throat in the alley for her.”

Pag had never felt such rage. He looked back at his brothers.

“They will die like dogs,” Hed said dispassionately. Kar said nothing.

They did die like dogs, including the others who came from their bunkroom at the sound of the commotion. Pag tried to kill them so that no gore would fall upon Jalinda, but when he finally untied her and carried her, in a swoon, out of the garrison and across the street to the hangar, with the sun just beginning to rise, her fair skin had many bloody stains upon it.

As he strapped her into her acceleration couch on
Love’s Rebellion
, Jalinda murmured, “Am I alive?”

“Yes, sweetling,” Pag said, taking a damp towel from the basin Kar had brought and wiping the blood from her face. “We saved you.”

Her eyes, which had been firmly closed since the moment Pag had caught sight of her among the soldiers in the garrison, opened, then and looked up first in wonder and then, quickly, in pain. “They made me,” she said. “They said Sherdon 2… they said the emperor glassed it. Then they told me I would be their little whore for the rest of my life, and they told me they would beat me if I didn’t open my mouth, if I didn’t say I wanted to suck their cocks…”

“Hush, sweetling,” Pag said.

“Did they… did the emperor… my parents…?”

Pag nodded. “Yes. There was a revolt after you were sent to Vion. The emperor made an example of your planet.”

“I… I can’t…” The tears came into her eyes, and she looked away at the padding of the couch. “I can’t go home.”

“Yes, you can,” Pag said. “You will come with us to Mara, and that will be your home, as our wife. The rebels on Sherdon were brave, and perhaps what we did in the garrison will help Gep spread the revolt here on the border.”

Jalinda said nothing for a long moment, but she turned her face again to look up at him. Finally she said, softly and simply, “Thank you.” Then, “Will you… punish me? For running away?”

Pag nodded gravely. “We’ll discuss that when we get to Mara.”

“How?”

Pag thought it better not to keep her in suspense, and told her what he had decided. “You will kneel and suck our cocks, while you wear your first bottom-trainer.”

Jalinda’s eyes grew very wide. “Not… on my… you know, my private part?”

“No,” Pag said, shaking his head. “And your rear end needs time to recover. You nearly had the cock of that sergeant in your mouth. Now you will have the cocks of your betrothed bridegrooms there, and you will please us until we spurt inside your mouth and you swallow our seed like a good girl. At the same time, your bottom will have a reminder that soon enough we will possess you there, too, in the final consummation of your need for cock.”

Jalinda’s body seemed to relax, as Pag spoke, as if the calm deliberation behind his words, the mercy that tempered his justice, reassured her as much as his strong hands buckling her into the acceleration couch did. Her mouth even turned up in a little smile. “Yes, sir,” she said softly.

“Sir?” Pag asked. The Trestrimar did not address each other by anything other than their names.

Jalinda blushed. “That’s what girls on Sherdon call the men who are in charge of them.”

“Oh,” Pag said.

“May I call you and your brothers that?”

Pag thought for a moment. “If you would like to call us
sir
you may, Jalinda. As, I suppose, we will sometimes call you
girl.
” He couldn’t help marveling at how quickly she seemed to be recovering; she seemed as resilient as a woman of the Trestrimar, not delicate the way he expected girls from the civilized worlds to be.

“When you call me
girl
,” she asked, “does it mean that you’re going to punish me?”

“Sometimes,” Pag admitted. “But I suppose it also sometimes means that we want to fuck you.”

Jalinda blushed at that. “So, you might say,
come here, girl
,
and it could mean that I have a spanking coming? Or it could mean that I have to kneel down and get ready for… that?”

Pag smiled. “Why are you asking, Jalinda? My brothers and I will decide what you need and when you need it. We may call you
girl
, or we may call you by your name, but either way you will get what you need and deserve, and we want to give you, whether that’s a reminder spanking, a cunt-paddling, or even a cock up your rump for a nice long bottom session, as we call it.”

Jalinda bit her lip, then whispered very quickly, “I’m just so curious, I guess, sir. And I guess I want to know what it
feels
like. When you spanked me down there I thought I couldn’t bear it, but then when the soldiers… when the sergeant was getting ready to put his cock in my mouth… I remembered you and Hed and Kar, the way you looked at me, as if I were the most important thing in the world. And I thought, maybe if I serve these soldiers for long enough, keep them busy, Pag will come for me again. And you did, sir.”

“You were very foolish, Jalinda. You know that. And you ran away after you had offered yourself to us, and we were betrothed.”

“Yes, sir. And now I have to suck your cock, and Hed’s, and Kar’s. And I have to have something in my bottom that will make it nice for you.” Her eyes seemed to dim, in contrition, but Pag thought he could detect something else—something that made his cock get very hard indeed, all of a sudden. “I want it to be nice for you,” Jalinda whispered.

“Takeoff in one minute,” Hed called back.

Chapter Nine

Jalinda had to suck her future husbands’ cocks right there in the ship,
Love’s Rebellion
, as soon as they had landed on Mara.

“Let’s get the training belt on her,” Pag called into the cockpit. “Our girl needs to learn her lesson, and we need to start getting her bottom ready for our wedding night. Kar, there’s a belt in the top right storage locker, and a box of plugs.” He turned to Jalinda, who still lay in her acceleration couch. “Once I unstrap you, you’ll go to the head and pee, with the door open so we can see. Then you’ll bend over the toilet and Kar will put the belt around your waist, and the trainer in your rump.”

Jalinda had thought that the humiliations she had suffered at the hands of the Vionians had made her feel as much shame as it was possible to feel. In fact, she had been able to yield herself to the soldiers in their mess hall when they had tied her over the bench because she had thought of herself as already debased, having offered her modesty so completely to the Trestrimarian brothers and then having run away from them in betrayal, having heard that her planet no longer existed in any meaningful way.
