"They're gonna start calling you the prima donna of Iron Wolf."

His fingers brushed my thigh and I immediately shifted closer to the side of the tub. "Did I interrupt your quiet time, love?"

"Never." I smiled up at him, positive my eyes gushed with undying adoration. "Missed you, Jade, every day."

He sighed and rose up higher on his knees. "Me, too."

Leaning over me, he pressed his lips to mine, softly at first, but little closed-mouthed kisses of greeting quickly became more open-mouthed, demanding, desperate and passionate. His hand moved to encircle my half-hard arousal as I slipped a hand around his neck and pulled him closer. He groaned in the sexy way he had of filling my mouth with sound that vibrated deep into my soul. I mirrored his groan when his hand fisted me faster under the water, my body threatening to float right out of the tub and into his arms.

His hair fell over his shoulders, tickling my neck and chest while our tongues played and got reacquainted. When he pulled away, my lungs gasped for breath, but my hips still lifted in time with his strokes. He kissed the side of my mouth, the flare of love front and center in his beautiful eyes, his free hand caressing my cheek and jaw.

"What do ya need, babe?" The low, lusty tone of his voice only pitched my arousal higher, not to mention the thumb expertly brushing over the head of my dick.

A strangled gasp slipped past my lips and I pressed our foreheads together. "You're doing just fine."

He was and he always did. Jade was one of the most unselfish lovers I'd ever had, and he reveled in the pleasure he could bring out in me. He was away a lot, but we always made up for lost time and I understood that in, some ways, his career choice—his stardom—was more a curse than a blessing for him. And for me ... well, he was pretty much my everything.

"You're playing Pacu de Lucia and that usually means you're stressed. Everything okay?"

"Not the time," I managed to grunt, my orgasm ripe and beginning to twist deep in my gut and buzz delectably in my balls.

"Come for me, love," he growled before slipping a hand in my hair and tugging my head back. He took my mouth like he was a starving man, teeth nipping and sucking on my bottom lip. My balls drew up tight and I was coming, my cock pulsing and releasing tiny jets of milky white into the water.

He let me breathe again but held my head tight to his, kissing my hair and whispering nonsense words of love in my ear. I panted and writhed, one hand twining in his long hair and the other wrapping around his under the water.

When I was finally spent, my dick milked to within an inch of its ecstatic life, I kissed him tenderly and brushed my nose to his. "Welcome home."

He grinned the grin that had launched a million albums and sent teenage girls and some of their mothers into hysterics then cocked his head at me. "You're gonna make me clean the tub now, aren't you?"

"You better fucking believe it."

*~*~*

After I'd rinsed the come from my body and toweled myself off, I padded contentedly down the hallway and into the kitchen. I found Jade in front of the stove, a spatula in his hand as he sautéed something I more than likely wouldn't want to eat. He wasn't vegetarian, but he ate very little red meat and preferred horrid foods like tofu and bean sprouts. And that's not even mentioning the awful fake meat he'd tried to pass off as real to me a time or two.

"You know I'm not going to eat that." After moving one of Jade's disguises—this one consisting of a big floppy felt hat, massive sunglasses and a scarf that looked like the type a well-bred woman would wear to tea—I perched myself at the small breakfast nook in the corner. Calliope immediately jumped up on my lap and made herself painfully—to me—at home.

Though I had no intention of eating whatever concoction he'd dreamed up, Jade, on the other hand, looked good enough to eat. Under the edge of a baggy t-shirt, the smooth skin of his back showed an inch or two above his low-slung sweatpants. His every movement, whether on stage or merely moving around in the kitchen, was sensual, made more so because it wasn't forced or simply an act.

"You'll love it. Tastes just like bacon." I could hear the hint of a smile in his words, but also something else, something far away and sad.

I chose to leave my worry on the back burner until later, when he'd had more of a chance to unwind. "You always say that, so why don't you just make me bacon."

Jade turned to gaze at me and, for the first time, I noticed he still had smudges of kohl and mascara under his eyes. Obviously I'd had other things on my mind when he appeared in the bathroom, but it was odd that he hadn't even taken the time to wash off his makeup after the concert. Jade normally went bare-faced when he was at home. It was more his style and comfort level. He always said what he did on stage and for the public was only a performance, one he chose to not continue once away from the spotlight.

"You're still wearing your Iron Balls make-up."

I scooted a very unimpressed cat from my lap before rising from the chair to pull Jade into my arms. I turned him around and he immediately relaxed against me, arms limp at his sides, one hand still clutching the spatula. I was five inches taller than him and he loved to nestle his nose against my chest when I held him. I love it, too, because it made me feel like I was taking care of him just as he took such good care of me.

"Something going on, love?" I asked after several moments of quiet rocking and embracing.

"Later." He pressed a kiss to the middle of my T-shirt-covered chest then went back to his task. "First, you're going to eat something, then I'm going to fuck you, then we can talk."

I moved back to my chair, chuckling at his fabulous, familiar bluntness, my cock reacting at the mere mention of getting fucked. We'd met at a red-carpet gala where he was performing and I was doing surveillance for a client. He'd been so far out of my league in his skin-tight leather pants, sparkling tank top, and combat boots that I hadn't even entertained the thought of him noticing me, let alone wanting to have sex with me. But he'd spotted me after his set, bypassing the squealing fans and celebrity hangers-on, and headed straight for me.

I'd nearly lost my breath and had stammered like an idiot when he introduced himself. We spent the night together, doing little more than talking and kissing and touching. Our bodies and limbs had eventually entangled under the covers as we fell asleep, exhausted and in a state of bliss that only comes from being with someone for the first time. We had sex the next morning and afternoon and, yeah, the evening, too. He'd been on a two-week break from touring and spent most of his time with me, which in my mind, allowed for the casualness of our initial fucking to quickly turn into making love. Jade had been the first one to say he was falling for me, though my own confession was close behind. He'd been blunt back then, too. He'd said he wasn't interested in one-night stands and if I'd have him, he wanted us to be exclusive.

I had gone through all the old clichés in my head. He was too young for me. Musicians, especially ones who had already risen to such high status by the time they were twenty-six years old, were not known to be monogamous. Rockstars did not do relationships, plus, with the exception of a few, select people who were in the know, Jade was still in the closet. Did I really want to go back in there with him? He'd said all the right things, demonstrated all the feelings and honesty he still displayed today, and my heart had fallen hard and completely under his spell. Fortunately, it appeared his had also fallen under mine.

A tantalizing smell broke me from my reverie and my belly let me know it was awake with a loud growl. A kiss to the top of my head made me look up into brilliant, smiling eyes and I couldn't help but return the sentiment with a caress to his hip.

Jade set a plate in front of me before settling himself in a chair and nursing a mug of some obnoxious-smelling tea between his hands. "Do you even eat when I'm away?" He smirked then dipped his head to blow on the steaming beverage. "There was nothing but spoiled food in the fridge."

I cocked my head in his direction. "Yet you managed to cook for me."

"This is not my first rodeo." He chuckled and sipped loudly from his cup, his hair falling forward in a veil of black and purple. He quickly shoved it off his face and I clearly saw the annoyance in the action. He only kept it as long as it was because of his fans—and probably because of me. He loved it when I wrapped it around my fingers during sex or gave it a sturdy yank to show him he was mine. We joked that possession was nine-tenths of the law and we definitely held ten-tenths of each other.

"I stopped off and did some shopping," he continued while I sniffed what was on my fork. "Eat it or I'll make you eat it."

"Mmm," I teased. "Someone's feeling a little dominant tonight."

"Fucking right. I haven't had sex in twenty-eight days and my hand is starting to cramp from all my jerking off."

I laughed and took a careful bite of whatever it was on my plate. "Not bad. What is it?"

"Do you really want to know?"

I shook my head and kept eating, hungrier than I had thought I was. "How long you home for this time?" I always dreaded the answer, but it was best to get it out of the way in the beginning. That way I could check off the imaginary days in my head without him knowing I was doing it.

"Last night was the end of the tour, so I'm here until the boys decide to start working on the new album."

I looked up into his eyes again, but saw none of the judgment or anger that I felt inside. "Fuck. I missed your last show? I'm sorry."

"No biggie. Same old, same old." He shrugged, took another sip from his mug, and held it to his lips longer than necessary. I knew it mattered to him. He hadn't been close with his family since he left home at fifteen so I was all he had.

Snaking a hand around the back of his neck, I tugged him across the distance for a kiss. He responded as he always did, as if there was nothing else he'd rather be doing than kissing me. Fuck, I loved him.

We stayed that way for a while, the slow, lazy kisses of comfort more important than the food cooling in front of me. He brought life back into me, and I was pretty sure it worked the other way around, too. When he was home, the impersonal but practical way my office looked didn't matter, nor did the way I dressed or the style of my hair. I wasn't young and naïve, and I didn't necessarily believe in soul mates or that there was one special person for everyone, but I did believe in him. I believed his, my, our commitment, and that was good enough for me.

When he pulled back, the handsome smile had returned, but I noticed the tiredness in his eyes and face. I'd been selfish in assuming I was the only one who'd had a hard day, a hard month. It was time to tuck him into bed.

"Bedtime?" I asked, brushing a long strand of hair from his face and twisting it between my fingers. He nodded and reached for the plate in front of me. "I can clean up for myself, Mr. Lee."

He squinted, his half-smirk making my heart whimper. "You sure about that, Mr. Cason?" Jade made me freaking crazy and he knew it. All he had to do was be around me, smile at me, touch me in even the chastest way and my whole body ignited with love.

"I'm glad you're home." My words were no more than a whisper. Any louder and I feared the stress of the day and the excitement of having Jade home would make me melt into a ball of goo on the outside. I was already overflowing with the stuff on the inside as it was.

He nodded, the knowing look in his eyes telling me he understood what was happening inside me. I knew he was feeling it, too. "Want me to do that thing now?" he asked, one corner of his mouth curling up in that mischievous way he had of making me breathless.

"Clean?"

He chuckled and waved his hand through the air, ever the drama queen. "Naw. That thing I do with your ass. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about."

I cocked an eyebrow and struck my best pondering pose. "It's been so long, you might have to remind me exactly what it entails."

Jade laughed again, but this time it turned into a massive yawn. He looked embarrassed at first, but then the smile was back. "Sorry. Haven't slept much lately. Couldn't wait to get home to my own bed, I guess."

I reached out and tangled our fingers together. "Know what I was thinking about before my bath was so rudely interrupted?"

It was his turn to raise an eyebrow. "Rudely interrupted?"

"You know what I mean," I deadpanned. "I was thinking about you and my bed."

"My metal-jeweled dick and our bed?."

"Fair enough, our bed. But strange as it may seem, your dick wasn't even in the picture." He furrowed his brow, his eyebrow stud winking at me. "I was thinking about just holding you, being held by you, and knowing you'd be beside me when I woke up in the morning."

Another yawn stretched his lips, his eyes watering in the wake of its force. I stood up from the table, Jade's was hand still held in mine and I pulled him up with me. "Bedtime, love. We can clean this up in the morning."

"We?" He yawned again. He was fading fast and I was pretty sure I wouldn't get a demonstration of what he wanted to do to my ass.

"Okay, you. You can clean it up in the morning after you do that thing with my ass at least twice."

His eyes lit up and he bumped my shoulder with his. "Twice? Can't wait to wake up then."

I undressed a very compliant Jade, getting a tired but stern look from him when I tossed his clothes on the floor. When he was naked and I'd kissed and ogled him sufficiently, I pulled back the covers and we both climbed in. I spooned in close and wrapped him tight in my arms, enjoying his sigh of contentment. Calliope jumped up on the bed and our little family was complete.

Jade was asleep instantly, hands gently gripping mine, his breath steady and even. It was a talent that I, unfortunately, didn't share with him. He could sleep anywhere. He said it was from his years of touring, people always around making noise or shuffling about. I suspected it also had something to do with living in group homes and shelters when he was growing up. It was a skill I envied since I was prone to insomnia.
