She stretched, accommodating him after a moment. Then she clenched her innermost muscles to pleasure him the most intimate way she knew. He directed her movements, lifting her up then down on him, gradually increasing his pace.

She curled her fingers into Guy’s powerful shoulders as he singed her sensitive flesh with erotic friction. A deluge of delight filled her up. She held her breath, waiting, until the sweet, burning flood dragged her under.

Guy exploded moments later. She squeezed him tightly, her heart just as tangled up in him as her body was. He kissed her senseless until every breath she took was Guy.

How would she ever say goodbye to him?

Hours later as they lay in bed, the ring of Laura’s cell cut through the peaceful silence.

Laura gave him an apologetic frown as she answered. “It’s my sister,” she whispered. “Hey, Suzanne… Well, it could have gone better, but it’s not a problem. I’ve got a do-over tomorrow… Yeah, the earthquake and all. I’ll tell you about it when I get home.”

Guy skimmed a finger along Laura’s stomach as she listened to whatever her sister said. Suddenly, she burst into laughter, then swatted at his hand. Covering the phone, she gave him a warning look. “I’m ticklish.”

Then she huffed as she returned her attention to the call. “Look, Suz, I’m not alone… No, I don’t need any advice, but thanks. Right, bye.” She dropped the phone on the night table. “Sorry about that. Suzanne wanted to know all about you.”

He shrugged. “You could have told her. I plan to meet her anyway.”

“Really?” She scrunched her nose and shook her head. “I mean, you want to keep, you know, seeing each other?”

He kissed the tip of her adorable nose. “Of course I do. I plan to hang around as long as you’ll have me.”

She snuggled against him.

“What is it, Laura? You’re not dumping me after we leave here, are you?”

She met his stare with tears in her eyes. “Not on your life. I want to keep you around, I’m just afraid.”

He kissed the top of her head. “Of what?”

“I’ve been left a lot. I’m always waiting for that to happen.”

“What we have is special, baby. You couldn’t run me off if you tried.” And he meant it. Soon as they returned home he planned to start spending a lot more time in Virginia. It was for lovers, after all.
