“He will be on his best behaviour, he promised. He knows it is important that we keep this from Richard.” He tells me seeing the worry playing on my face.

“Ok. Where will you be staying, and who are those men you are with?”

“I will be staying here in the palace. The men that join me are old acquaintances; they will also be staying here. The men don’t know of us Zara; it needs to stay this way. When Angus arrives, act how you did tonight, I know it will be hard as you are connected, but you have to try love. I have to be a different man around Richard, the man I was before you woke me from my darkness,” He tells me regrettably, as if afraid I will think him cold-hearted and monstrous.

“You do what you have to Parrise, I trust you. We have to go back, Dallah looks on edge.” I tell him, and pull him to walk with me.

I’m still unable to feel Dallah through our connection, which is strange, and a little unnerving.

We spend the rest of the night making small talk to Richard and the men that Parrise has with him. Dallah and I head off to bed after receiving kisses to the hand from Parrise.

We enter her room and snuggle into bed together; I turn to Dallah with a smile,

“I have an Idea, I don’t know if it will work but it’s worth a try. I will enter your dream, then try to take you to Den, then if that works we could get to Julian and the Brothers’?”

She looks at me with a mesmerising grin,

“That would be amazing; I have not stopped thinking about Julian since arriving here. Do you think it’s possible?” Dallah say’s full of excitement.

Dallah and Julian have always had eyes for one another, but Dallah never let anything happen between them, or told Julian she feels this way, as she knew one day she would be bonded to Richard. Nevertheless, She wants Julian, loves him, and I think she shoul
d follow her heart not her head.

“I know, it won’t hurt to try. Come on let’s get to sleep, its gunna be a busy night!” I tell her excitedly. Knowing how important this is to Dallah, I will put everything I have into succeeding.
After all, the kind Stranger telling me about Dallah needing my help, and telling me that what I need will be there, inside of me, I just need to be able to release the power.

Dallah and I fall asleep with smiles on our faces, hand in hand, as sisters.

Chapter Five

Thinking of Dallah,
my heart beats rapidly and I go dizzy, that is when I know I am in someone’s dream. I walk in darkness with my hands held in front of me as I hear her voice call to me.

“Zara?”

“I’m here, where’s the lights?” I joke.

“Just think of the room being light and it will be?”

I quickly imagine there being a fireplace, and there it is! Wow, that’s cool.

“Hey, what’s with the fire?” Dallah asks walking up to me.

“I thought it would be pretty. Why was your dream so empty?”

“Because that's how I feel.” She tells me with a sigh.

“Not any more, start dreaming of us at the beach, or at a party, something fun. I know your sad Dallah but it won’t be for long, ok?”

“Yeah.” She replies with a weak smile.

“Ok, let’s do this; um...let’s try holding hands, I’ll see if I can take you to Julian, if this work’s I’ll leave you while I get Den, yeah?”

“Perfect!” She tells me with an elated grin.

I love to see her so happy just at the mention of Julian’s name. I used to feel the same way about Sallack, sigh.

“He’s going to be so happy to see you Dallah.
I am going to try my best. Let’s go, hey you think of him too, who knows, it might help.”

I tell her, but can already tell that she has had him on her mind for the last month, let alone right now.

The feeling of dizziness takes me again, and as I open my eyes, Dallah is standing in front of me with her eyebrows pulled into a frown, as she bites her bottom lip while looking over my shoulder. I turn my head to follow her gaze, and there, sits Julian in his bedroom at the Brothers’ mansion.

“Julian?” Dallah whispers out.

His head snaps up as he locks eyes with her. Before I can blink, he has her in his arms kissing her passionately. With a grin on my face, I take a step back and push myself away from Julian’s dream and straight into Den’s.

The warm sun hits my face as I open my eyes to miles of golden sand, and clear blue water, we are on a beach!

“You took your time!” Den tells me as I’m lifted off my feet into a big hug.

“Wow Den, where is this place?” I ask in awe.

“I made it up, it’s
cool, huh?” He says, shrugging his shoulders before kissing me on the lips.

“It’s breathtaking; I have never seen anything so peaceful.” I tell him as I look out to sea.

“Let's go for a swim. Hey, where’s this outfit come from?” He asks, pulling a disgusted face at my pj’s, did he actually think I was going to come to his dream in my underwear again.

“Maybe some other time, as I managed to include Dallah in my dream wa
lking, she’s back at Julian’s. I want to get everyone together in one dream, and I’m thinking it should be yours.”

“You can do that?” He asks me in amazement.

“I didn’t know I could until a few minutes ago, but yeah.”

“Wow, look at you, I’m gunna call you my dream girl from now on.” He teases.

“No you won’t!” I tell him playfully rolling my eyes.

Ok, who first?” He asks with excitement.

“Dom?”

“Good choice.”

I take Den’s hands in mine, but he goes one better and wraps me in his arms, while I tell him to think of Dom.

“Hey handsome.” I call to Dom as he runs through the woods in Wolf form. He runs up to us as he shifts into human form and picks me up into a giant hug.

“Zara, what’s going on?” He asks with a light frown, while he runs the back of his fingers down my cheek.

I explain to Dom about being with Dallah, and of my being able to dream walk, along with having Dallah with me, and of her being with Julian.

“K, who’s next?” I ask Den with a wide smile.

“Oh definitely Mickey, that little fucker must have some wicked dreams.” He laughs.

Mickey is the worst flirt I know, having a one-track mind, women!

Taking hold of Dom and Den’s hands, I tell them to think of Mickey, as it will help. I don’t know how many people I can
take into somebody’s dream so I’m not sure if it will work this time.

It worked perfectly; there sitting on a chair in an empty bar at Sallack’s is Mickey with his back to us. However, what really catches my eye is that he has three topless woman giving him lap dances, even worse! It’s me, Dallah and Candy! What the...

“Mickey!” I shout his name through embarrassed laughter.

He spins around to face us looking stunned, then jumps up and walks to us casually.

“Hey baby, two Zara’s! Brilliant. Ah man, why am I dreaming of dudes?” H
e says, looking at the Dom and Den in an offended way.

“Mickey, it’s Me Zara, the real one,” I tell him, as I quickly erase the naked me, Dallah and Candy.

“No shit?”

He looks at me properly as I’m once again lifted off my feet into a crushing hug.

“You’re bad Mickey! No more naked Dallah and me. And Candy, What’s that about?”

“Oh no you don’t, this is my dream!” He tells me followed with a kiss.

“Fair enough,”

I take the three of them back to Den’s wonderful beach after explaining to Mickey how the whole dream-walking thing is done.

On entering Ruk’s
dream, I am shocked, putting my hands over my mouth to stop the cry begging for release. In the middle of an open field are Sallack, Den, Parrise, Angus, Richard, and Theo, who are fighting their way through him to get to me. The Zara, he dreams of is laid on the earth distraught and crying with her heart breaking, while he tries to comfort her, and fighting them all away. I remove the men and the sobbing me from his dream as I run up to him and hold onto him for dear life.

“It's a dream Ruk. I’m real; I’m ok, look at me.” I tell him, holding his face in my hands.

“Come back Zara?” He asks with his voice laced in dejection.

“Soon I promise.
I need you to know that I am ok. I’m a dream walker Ruk.”

I have so much love for Ruk; he is my friend and my rock. Seeing him here, is as if time stands still, he is everything you could want in a man, he is tender, strong, and is stunningly handsome. Most of all I trust him completely.

I tell him everything he needs to know before I take him to Den, Mickey, and Dom, after making him believe that I can deal with Sallack alone, which angers the protector in him to no end.

Sallack’s dream is the hardest yet. Lying before me in his bed with me in his arms as we make love, while he repeats over and over again ‘I’m sorry beautiful’.

Up until this point, I had done so well, not jus
t seeing the Brothers’, I mean from the moment that I choose to go with Richard that night, the night I promised that my emotions wouldn’t take over. However, as I stand here looking at the life I should have been living, the life I had, the love that was ours, my heart shatters within my chest.

I erase the Zara in his arms as I walk over to him slowly. I can’t speak
for the lump in my throat, trying my hardest to keep the tears from falling and stand tall and alone telling myself ‘You can do this’ over and over in my head.

“Is that really you Beautiful?” He asks with a sorrowful note, as if he knows that I am real, and not just a dream.

“Yeah,” I tell him in a whisper with a nod of my head.

“You’re a dream walker?”

Again, I just nod. I can’t, I won’t, let anything take away the strength I have tried so hard to keep within me.

“Zara I ...”

“No, it’s ok Sallack, I forgive you, I promise I do. It was just hard to see that.” I say pointing to the bed where he lay with me in his arms just moments ago.

“Why, I don’t deserve your forgiveness?” He asks in disbelief.

“Come to me Sallack.” I ask him gently as my shaky legs won’t budge.

He walks the few steps to me, with an intense look in his eyes. Releasing the tears he wa
s trying so hard to fight off. Stepping forward I wipe under his eyes with my thumbs and kiss his cheek.

“We weren’t meant to be Sallack, I know that now, but I will never look at you with anything but love. I owe a lot to you. I should hate you but I don’t, I can’t. I want us to be friends Sallack?”

“Oh beautiful, how could I have hurt something so pure. Are you an Angel Zara?” He asks me in a serious tone.

I smile up at him as I wrap my arms around him, and look him straight in the eye.

“No Sallack I’m not an Angel. Will you give me something?” I ask holding him tightly.

“Anything Beautiful,” He tells me gently.

“I want one last kiss?” I ask, it is all I have wanted from the moment I knew we were not meant to be, I need to feel him one last time.

Not missing a beat, his lips take mine gently as a feeling of bliss and love tingles through my body. He holds me tightly in his strong arms as I melt into him. The kiss is not what I imagined though; it feels wrong in away, which it is, as he is not my chosen. Nevertheless, I had to feel his lips on mine one last time, as I never got to say goodbye to our love, nor did he and we both needed this closure.

I pull away from him slowly and look up at him.

“A kiss of Goodbye?” He asks me already knowing the answer.

“Yeah,” I tell him with a sigh.

“I am sorry...”

“The others are waiting, will you come with me?” I ask needing to change the subject; I have cried over Sallack so much that if I let the tears fall again, it will take away the strength I have so desperately held onto.

“When you tell me where you really are, and why?”

“Don’t push it Alpha.” I tease.

“God you’re stubborn.”

“Yep. We need to pick up Dallah and Julian on the way, take my hands.”

“Short version!” He tells me with an eye roll, as he folds his arms.

Therefore, I give him the short version, jus
t as I have all the Brothers’.

We walk into Julian’s dream, where he sits holding Dallah on his bed. I hug him while he thanks me for bringing Dallah to him, not without giving me a telling off for leaving with Richard that night. The four of us hold hands; well Sallack and Julian are a little reluctant to, which I roll my eyes at.

The Brothers’ circle us as they greet Dallah with tight hugs and kisses to the forehead. I notice Ruk looking a little on edge, so I go to stand next to him as he places his arm over my shoulder and kisses the side of my head, making my heart flutter. Good god he is perfection.

Dallah tells the Brothers’ of her arranged bonding to Richard, that I’m  guessing she’s already spoke to Julian about in private, as his head is downcast staring into the sand growling to himself. She tells them that she is working on a way out of the bonding, but she needs time, which angers them further. We have grown to be a family, a very close loving family, so it is very hard for the Brothers’ to think of us alone in the Dark Coven.

“So where is Parrise and Angus? Parrise has been away for days, but Angus has been with us every night over the last two months, but not tonight.” Sallack asks looking between Dallah and me, his face full of suspicion.

Dallah takes this one as she can feel that I really do not want to answer them on this matter. I don t know whether to be truthful or lie to keep them safe.

“Parrise has come to the Dark coven as a guest of Richard. Richard has wanted Parrise and Angus as allies for many years, so he thinks nothing strange of Parrise being there. I believe Angus will be with us tomorrow night.” She tells them cautiously, as we wait for their views on the matter.

“What the fuck!!!” Den shouts to no one in particular.

“Den, I know you want to be with us, to see we are well, but I’m powerful, as are Parrise and Angus, trust us to keep Zara safe?”

Dallah tells him with a confident plea.

“Dallah, I worry for you too babe, you and Zara are my girls, I want to look after you both.” He tells her, wanting her to
recognize the love he has for her also.

“I know Den. We will be back soon.” She tells them all, before she turns in Julian’s arms and kisses him tenderly to calm him. I feel so helpless for Julian; I know what it is like to love someone, but not to be able to have them.

“Zara, look at me?” Ruk whispers to me.

I face him, as his eyes search mine.

“I feel like I’m missing something that is right in front of me. Are you safe, and please don’t lie to me.” He asks, making my heart break. Somewhere deep inside his heart, he knows the truth about me, Dallah, even my connection to Angus, but Parrise made him forget about the truth until it was the right time, if there will ever be a right time.
